The staff were so very kind and so very helpful I decided to book and had a wonderful experience. Exceptionally clean, bathrobe, slippers, coffee machine, cold water, fridge, toiletries and other useful items. Good indoor/outdoor seating areas. Excellent range of breakfast items. I plan other trips to Sainte-Maxime later this year and would look to stay at Hotel Matisse again. So very handy for the city/shops/beach and boat trips/buses to St Tropez. "

- "Was in orde." - "The bedroom was clean and the bed large and comfortable. The bathroom was recent with a good shower. The rooms are very simple and plain but lots of room for luggage, beach bags etc and the air conditioning worked well! The pool is large and well maintained with plenty of umbrellas and loungers. We were the only English people there for the week we stayed - didn’t bother us. We were only B&B so can’t really comment on the catering. It did mean that most people left pool area for 90 minutes or so at lunchtime and we had the pool to ourselves one day! It’s a 15 minute walk into the restaurants in Ste Maxime but it’s a flat walk and it was good to walk home after dinner. All of the staff we encountered were helpful, friendly and polite. They coped with our limited French and some spoke English. The bar staff were friendly and helpful (the bar is cheap). Reception staff also very good. Particular mention for the manager who was charming and had suggestions for things to do etc. We extended our stay by 2 nights and he quickly accommodated this and gave us a good rate. Having a free car park in Ste Maxime is great. We have stayed nearer the town previously and car parking is expensive so we were grateful to not have to pay €30-40 per day to park. We will be back. The property was better in person than the pictures. The WIFI was superior and allowed me to work trouble-free. When I arrived, Thomas was a gentleman and helped with my luggage. Entering the flat was an overload of all my senses. It was clean, orderly and decorated beautifully. Thomas provided tasty snacks (which I purchased more to take home), water and juice. The bed was comfortable and provided great sleep nights. The only complaint I have is that I couldn't enjoy the outdoors as much as I had planned because of the ants and other insects. Thomas can't do much about that, but otherwise, it was amazing. Anything you would want is so thoughtfully and intentionally provided. The responsiveness of the owner was exemplary. I had an issue with one of the appliances around 11 pm and although I know he did not want to come over, he said he would. Fortunately, I was able to resolve it before he left his place. Whenever I had an issue or question, he was so helpful. I recommend this place to anyone with high vacation standards. It won't disappoint! Thank you Thomas!!!"

- "We really enjoyed staying here as the property is welcoming and comfortable, with a brilliant location in the bustling and attractive town. The space turned out to be a little tight for 2 adults and 2 basically-adult sons, but it was manageable. Equipment is good, although the bedroom could do with a chair for clothes. We had a little bit of difficulty getting to the apartment as it is not really possible to park outside in the road. Subsequent to that, the parking garage ( 5 minutes' walk away) was a great amenity. The website says towels are provided but in fact this needs negotation with the owner since they are not regularly provided, but we did manage to obtain them (thanks Didier!) The hosts speak good English and are friendly and helpful. We ate really well in Sainte Maxime and enjoyed our trips to the various beaches, of which La Garonette is the best. We enjoyed shopping at the markets too. We would recommend a visit to Nice also, although driving through the city, and finding a place to park, is predictably challenging. We ended up parking at the station on Avenue Thiers, which worked out well. This was our first time on the Cote d'Azur and we intend to return! "
