The village hosts regular events, each January there is a ceremony to mark the opening of the salmon fishing season and a firework display at New Year. Aberfeldy is only a 20-minute drive and has many local independent shops, a supermarket, galleries, eating places, a cinema, a whisky distillery and an award-winning book shop.

Take a Highland safari, a great way to explore the mountains, and spot local wildlife including deer, peregrine falcons, ospreys and golden eagles. This area has many historic buildings, castles and gardens which you can visit and discover the rich history of the area. There are ample opportunities for walking and routes for all abilities, with the Ben Lawers 7 Munro circuit within 10 miles. We were a party of 3 couples and had the best stay! Ellis and his fiancée were perfect hosts, absolutely loved the fresh bread they delivered. But the cottage was the star, lots of good size bedrooms with plenty of toilets and showers. The big kitchen dining area was where we spent most of our time. Having fun playing pool, and soaking up the stunning views. We even dared to have a dip in the natural plunge pool. Thank you for allowing us to make such fantastic memories."
