A former Laird's House, Morenish is ideal for large family/ friends gatherings, as well as walkers, fishing and cycling groups. Set back from the banks of Loch Tay, within 50 acres of its own gardens/ grounds, guests can enjoy a gentle stroll down to the loch.
The house is well equipped, one of the key features being the central "hub" - this includes a large space incorporating kitchen (with aga), dining area and living room (with wood-burning stove) - the open plan layout means no-one is left out, and is a great area for get-togethers at the end of a long day!
Immediately outside the house is the central courtyard, safe for young children, large lawn (croquet anyone?), as well as woods and streams - there's even a waterfall! On the doorstep are numerous activities, including - salmon fishing, hill walks, canoeing, watersports, golf, bird watching. Also within easy driving distance are various historic sites and places of interest, including the famous Falls of Dochart at Killin.
- "A beautiful home, with plenty of things to do, with tons of space inside and out for all ages. We had a fabulous family holiday and would love to return. Highly recommended x" - "This property is so unassuming but truly excellent. The house is akin to a tardis and is just a gift that keeps on giving! We had an excellent time not least because John (the caretaker) was such a genuinely nice person. The area is lovely with lots to do including a wee swim in the Tay. Aside from the horse-flies this was a perfect weekend away for a large group"

- "The positioning of this property is beyond superb. To wake every morning to the views across the loch was amazing. To be invigorated in the dammed up waterfall before lounging in the sauna completely new experience. Why would you ever leave?" - "Chapelburn is an absolute gem of a place. The cottage is stunning. We were a party of 3 couples and had the best stay! Ellis and his fiancée were perfect hosts, absolutely loved the fresh bread they delivered. But the cottage was the star, lots of good size bedrooms with plenty of toilets and showers. The big kitchen dining area was where we spent most of our time. Having fun playing pool, and soaking up the stunning views. We even dared to have a dip in the natural plunge pool. Thank you for allowing us to make such fantastic memories."

Town: The 16th-century town of Kenmore is located at the eastern extremity of Loch Tay, where the River Tay emerges from the loch. The village, which was initially built on the north side of the river, was relocated in the middle of the sixteenth century to make room for a castle being constructed on the north shore. The village was rebuilt, and as a result, received its current name, Kenmore, which means "big head" in Gaelic. Loch Tay, with its abundance of opportunities for watersports, fishing, hillwalking, and cycling, is what makes Kenmore such a well-liked tourist destination today. Visit the Scottish Crannog Center to see a recreated thatched cottage on stilts and learn about an ancient way of living. These dwellings, which were constructed on the loch and protected from danger by a retractable gangway, offer a fascinating look into past civilizations. The community has shops, a few hotels, and a restaurant, and the tourist is well-served by the adjacent charming towns of Aberfeldy, Pitlochry, and Dunkeld. The region is well known for its genuinely breathtaking landscape, and Kenmore can offer a lovely backdrop to a very relaxing holiday whether you are on the water, in the hills, or in the shops.

- "We all had a fab time, just what we needed, we have a girls weekend every year and this is by far the best place we have stayed in, we cycled, hot tubbed, walked, ate, drank and totally relaxed. We loved the view and the peace, the area was perfect for us too, places to go for coffee and lunch. Thanks so much, we will be back I’m sure." - "Cannot find enough great things to say about this holiday home. There is everything you need to have a great break away. I brought my three children (17, 14 & 9) to Scotland from Southern England, a long drive but well worth it. We arrived and everything was perfect from the moment we turned the key. The decoration is simple and very tasteful, with some lovely, subtle pieces of artwork here and there. Wonderful kitchen with everything you could want, comfy beds and bedlinen, and the views...... just perfect. We were unlucky with the weather, very cold for August - 9 degrees some days! But the hot tub and games were enough to keep all of mine contented for the whole week, which was a wonderful surprise! We found we chatted and laughed together more than we get the chance to in our busy lives 'down south'. There was only one supermarket/grocery store, in nearby Killin, but it actually had everything we needed. We ate out at a couple of local pubs, both of which offered plenty of local produce and at good value prices. We got great use out of the hot tub (several times each day!!) and enjoyed open fires in the evenings. I heartily recommend Ardeonaig Lodge. I know you will enjoy your stay as much as we did!!"

- "Lovely property - well appointed and equipped. Beautiful views and perfect access for the hills and Loch. " - "The location is a little out of the way, but for a peaceful and active vacation this was a perfect location. Miles of hill-walking available, right out the door. The house was spotlessly clean, and all the fixtures, beds, and appliances were quality and seemingly new. I appreciated Olive's responsiveness throughout."

This attractive holiday cottage dates back to the 1800s. It is located with wonderful views of Glen Lyon, one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland. The area around the cottage is particularly enchanting as some of the photographs show, including dramatic hills, open fields, mature trees and the River Lyon. There is a wood fired hot tub in the private garden.
The cottage is both a perfect base from which to enjoy the surrounding countryside, and somewhere to enjoy a little quiet time away from the hectic hustle and bustle of life.

Town: The village of Kenmore sits at the eastern end of Loch Tay where the River Tay flows out of the loch and dates from the 16th century. Originally built on the north side of the river, the village was moved in mid-sixteenth century to accommodate a castle being built on the north shore. The relocation gave the village its current name reflecting its position on a large headland: Kenmore – ‘large head’ in Gaelic. It is Loch Tay that makes Kenmore such a popular tourist draw today with the many watersports, fishing, hillwalking and cycling activities on and around the loch. Why not visit the Scottish Crannog Centre and discover an ancient way of life in a reconstructed thatched house on stilts? Built on the loch and able to repel danger with the aid of a retractable gangway, these houses provide a fascinating insight into ancient civilisations. The village has shops, a couple of hotels and a restaurant and with the attractive towns of Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and Dunkeld nearby, the tourist is very well provided for.
