It’s worth noting that the château isn’t close to central Nantes, so we ended up spending quite a bit on taxis — but we were aware of this going in. Moreover, on my third day I had an accident where i was struck by a bicyclist on the street and, as it turned out, broke my arm. I did not know where to go for care, but the woman on duty at the time (I redact her name for privacy) put me in a chair in the lobby, brought me water, and called the paramedics and police on my behalf, keeping me apprised of where they were and what to expect when they arrived. She went well above and beyond just a duty of care, and I cannot say enough about my gratitude. I recommend this hotel unreservedly, and if i am ever able to return to Nantes, this is where I will stay. "
