We are very sorry for this inconvenience. THE HOME: This home is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The property is not isolated but it is in a rural location and it makes for the perfect vacation remedy for those seeking peace, quiet, and an opportunity to get away from busy city life. Up to 6* guests can comfortably sleep, dine, and play in this home. There is one large TV, located in the living room, and it comes equipped with AppleTV. All your favorite entertainment apps can be accessed through the AppleTV, but please note that we do not have cable. The large primary bedroom has lots of extra space for things like baby cribs/pack-n-plays, etc. Both the queen bed, and double bed in the secondary bedroom, have a memory foam mattress topper for maximum comfort. We keep the kitchen well-stocked with essentials like salt, pepper, oil, coffee, creamer, tea, and sugar - along with other things like paper towels, cooking and eating utensils, pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, and wine glasses. The bathroom is also stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and of course toilet paper, towels, and wash rags. There is also a hair dryer located in one of the vanity drawers. THE YARD: The large backyard is a fun highlight of the property and has a fire pit, hammock chairs, a grill, a large folding table with chairs, a corn hole set, life-size “beer pong”, and strands of string lights to light up the night. It’s such a relaxing spot for family and friends to enjoy time together. You may also get to see deer on the property and some breathtaking sunsets from the backyard! NOTE: For a party of 6, one guest would have to sleep on the sofa, but don’t worry - the sofa is super soft and comfortable. The pillow cushions can be moved and we keep extra blankets and pillows around the house just for our sofa campers. IMPORTANT INFO: Some important things to note about this property: 1) This house does not have central cooling/heating. There are two wall units that blow cool air (the one in the primary bedroom also blows warm air but the unit in the dining/living area does not), one window unit that blows cool air (located in secondary bedroom), and an electric fireplace and portable heaters to warm the home. 2) Pets are NOT allowed. Evidence of pets will incur a $200 fee. 3) There is a small section of the yard that has a 6-foot drop-off due to a retaining wall that can be very dangerous if not acknowledged upon arrival. None of our guests have ever experienced any accidents with this. However, we still ask that you thoroughly examine this feature of the property upon arrival to help avoid any accidents. 4) The home does not come equipped with a dishwasher, so dishes would require hand-washing during your stay. - "We had a wonderful time during our stay. We enjoyed the scenery and pool. It was a great spot to relax and spend time with extended family. Also, HEB and Walmart where about 20 minutes away. The griddle was perfect for cooking outside burgers and fajitas." - "Plenty of space for our family - the 4 upstairs rooms all have good sized walk-in closets as well. Ping pong table was good entertainment, and I liked that it was completely separate from the rest of the living area. The deck overlooks the hill country and is a great spot to watch the sunrise as you sip your morning coffee. Pantry and kitchen are well stocked with most things you'll need, with a HEB about 10 minutes away, IIRC. The pool is good sized with lots of space around for lounging. The house has a pack-n-play if you have a little one, but the stairs are a bit steep, so maybe bring a way to block them off? There's a stair gate in the pantry, but it didn't really fit even at maximum width. I also really liked that the TV had a chromecast already - a simple, inexpensive thing to have, not sure why more VRBOs don't have one instead of cable. Only potential downside is not much yard space - not a big deal if you just want to swim and sit in the AC, but something to be aware of if you're looking to do more outdoor games."

The house is professionally cleaned between each stay to include high touch points, like light switches and door knobs. Also, check-in procedure is contactless. (The lake is only approximately 20% full currently. Boating to the lake house is not an option currently. Water can still be accessed down the cove closer to the main body of the lake.)

A peaceful getaway on the edge of the Hill Country near Medina Lake. Enjoy a little slice of heaven in our studio style Cabin. This unit is a stand alone building (~ 600 sq ft.), located about 150 feet from the main Log House. It has a large full bathroom, a main area that features 2 beds, kitchen and table. Our cabin is located behind an electric gate & is a quick 5 min. drive to Sunset Resort & Marina to access Medina Lake or 10 mins to Paradise Canyon on Medina River.

One room cabin at Sunset Ranch is a stand alone building and is approx 600 sq ft located about 150 feet from the main Log House. This cabin features a front porch with a porch swing and table and a back porch as well with a table.

-kitchen with cooktop, microwave, toaster oven and a small refrigerator/freezer combo, a Keurig coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes

We read about the sticker burrs and prepared our dog with shoes so he was fine. That stickers were the only caveat, but they’re probably mostly unavoidable anywhere in the area. The owner was extremely communicative as I had many questions leading up to our stay. Overall a great place to stay."

Come enjoy our absolutely stunning and peaceful property. Not a detail was spared when preparing this home for guests. The perfect mix of fun, classy and spacious. Spend time in nature with beautiful vistas from the hot tub, peaceful walks, or go on a hunt for treasure in the lakebed with our metal detector. If it’s fun you’re looking for, we have a pool table, juke box, a jumbo chess set and even a top notch playscape for the kids.

Please note, as of summer 2024 the draught has caused the lake outside our house to be COMPLETELY dry. Some of the pictures in our listing are from last summer where levels were low but not dry yet.

Medina Vista is divided up into two large living spaces. The upstairs has a living room, kitchen, formal dining room, a master bedroom with an ensuite bath. Additionally it has a bedroom with another king sized bed with a bathroom connected to it. This bathroom is also shared with one additionally bedroom across the hall with a day bed and trundle bed.
The downstairs has a pool table room, a bar, a master bedroom with an ensuite bath and two additional bedrooms. One bunk room with two sets of bunks (one full over queen and a twin over twin). The last bedroom has a queen sized bed with an additional ensuite bathroom.
The two areas are absolutely perfect to have one floor for kids and one for adults.

Because the water level at Lake Medina changes, the access to the water is subject to change as well. As of June 2023, the lake is about 5-6% full or about 75-80’ low. You can drive an off-road rated vehicle from the house to the waterline but you are doing so AT YOUR OWN RISK!

The lake was 46' low, but the owners mentioned it in the description. The livingroom/diningroom/kitchen was very spacious and the furniture is very comfortable. We used the Bunkbed room as our closet. The master bedroom would have been very tight for our luggage/stuff if we didn't have use of the second room. The weather was very cold so we didn't get to use the outside facilities or the firepit. Scenery was very nice, and the neighborhood was quiet. The first night was a little chilly because the thermostat adjusted after we set it. The owners responded and adjusted it on his app. The second night was better. Check out the area's restuarants ahead of time as some have closed permanently that was on the owner's list."
