We are very sorry for this inconvenience. THE HOME: This home is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The property is not isolated but it is in a rural location and it makes for the perfect vacation remedy for those seeking peace, quiet, and an opportunity to get away from busy city life. Up to 6* guests can comfortably sleep, dine, and play in this home. There is one large TV, located in the living room, and it comes equipped with AppleTV. All your favorite entertainment apps can be accessed through the AppleTV, but please note that we do not have cable. The large primary bedroom has lots of extra space for things like baby cribs/pack-n-plays, etc. Both the queen bed, and double bed in the secondary bedroom, have a memory foam mattress topper for maximum comfort. We keep the kitchen well-stocked with essentials like salt, pepper, oil, coffee, creamer, tea, and sugar - along with other things like paper towels, cooking and eating utensils, pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, and wine glasses. The bathroom is also stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and of course toilet paper, towels, and wash rags. There is also a hair dryer located in one of the vanity drawers. THE YARD: The large backyard is a fun highlight of the property and has a fire pit, hammock chairs, a grill, a large folding table with chairs, a corn hole set, life-size “beer pong”, and strands of string lights to light up the night. It’s such a relaxing spot for family and friends to enjoy time together. You may also get to see deer on the property and some breathtaking sunsets from the backyard! NOTE: For a party of 6, one guest would have to sleep on the sofa, but don’t worry - the sofa is super soft and comfortable. The pillow cushions can be moved and we keep extra blankets and pillows around the house just for our sofa campers. IMPORTANT INFO: Some important things to note about this property: 1) This house does not have central cooling/heating. There are two wall units that blow cool air (the one in the primary bedroom also blows warm air but the unit in the dining/living area does not), one window unit that blows cool air (located in secondary bedroom), and an electric fireplace and portable heaters to warm the home. 2) Pets are NOT allowed. Evidence of pets will incur a $200 fee. 3) There is a small section of the yard that has a 6-foot drop-off due to a retaining wall that can be very dangerous if not acknowledged upon arrival. None of our guests have ever experienced any accidents with this. However, we still ask that you thoroughly examine this feature of the property upon arrival to help avoid any accidents. 4) The home does not come equipped with a dishwasher, so dishes would require hand-washing during your stay. - "We had a wonderful time during our stay. We enjoyed the scenery and pool. It was a great spot to relax and spend time with extended family. Also, HEB and Walmart where about 20 minutes away. The griddle was perfect for cooking outside burgers and fajitas." - "Plenty of space for our family - the 4 upstairs rooms all have good sized walk-in closets as well. Ping pong table was good entertainment, and I liked that it was completely separate from the rest of the living area. The deck overlooks the hill country and is a great spot to watch the sunrise as you sip your morning coffee. Pantry and kitchen are well stocked with most things you'll need, with a HEB about 10 minutes away, IIRC. The pool is good sized with lots of space around for lounging. The house has a pack-n-play if you have a little one, but the stairs are a bit steep, so maybe bring a way to block them off? There's a stair gate in the pantry, but it didn't really fit even at maximum width. I also really liked that the TV had a chromecast already - a simple, inexpensive thing to have, not sure why more VRBOs don't have one instead of cable. Only potential downside is not much yard space - not a big deal if you just want to swim and sit in the AC, but something to be aware of if you're looking to do more outdoor games."

The house is professionally cleaned between each stay to include high touch points, like light switches and door knobs. Also, check-in procedure is contactless. A peaceful getaway on the edge of the Hill Country near Medina Lake. Enjoy a little slice of heaven in our studio style Cabin. One room cabin at Sunset Ranch is a stand alone building and is approx 600 sq ft located about 150 feet from the main Log House. This cabin features a front porch with a porch swing and table and a back porch as well with a table.

-kitchen with cooktop, microwave, toaster oven and a small refrigerator/freezer combo, a Keurig coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes

- "The grounds are beautiful. Easy river access. Enjoyed swimming and fishing. Quiet and peaceful. The house was well stocked. Lots of spaces for teens to hang out. We read about the sticker burrs and prepared our dog with shoes so he was fine. That stickers were the only caveat, but they’re probably mostly unavoidable anywhere in the area. The owner was extremely communicative as I had many questions leading up to our stay. Overall a great place to stay."

Come enjoy our absolutely stunning and peaceful property. Not a detail was spared when preparing this home for guests. The perfect mix of fun, classy and spacious. Spend time in nature with beautiful vistas from the hot tub, peaceful walks, or go on a hunt for treasure in the lakebed with our metal detector. If it’s fun you’re looking for, we have a pool table, juke box, a jumbo chess set and even a top notch playscape for the kids.

Please note, as of summer 2024 the draught has caused the lake outside our house to be COMPLETELY dry. Some of the pictures in our listing are from last summer where levels were low but not dry yet.

Medina Vista is divided up into two large living spaces. The upstairs has a living room, kitchen, formal dining room, a master bedroom with an ensuite bath. Additionally it has a bedroom with another king sized bed with a bathroom connected to it. This bathroom is also shared with one additionally bedroom across the hall with a day bed and trundle bed.
The downstairs has a pool table room, a bar, a master bedroom with an ensuite bath and two additional bedrooms. One bunk room with two sets of bunks (one full over queen and a twin over twin). The last bedroom has a queen sized bed with an additional ensuite bathroom.
The two areas are absolutely perfect to have one floor for kids and one for adults.

Because the water level at Lake Medina changes, the access to the water is subject to change as well. As of June 2023, the lake is about 5-6% full or about 75-80’ low. You can drive an off-road rated vehicle from the house to the waterline but you are doing so AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Welcome to Medina Lake Getaway. A newly renovated extensive waterfront home ideally situated in a quiet cove of Medina Lake. Just 45 minutes from San Antonio this is the ideal place for adventure or relaxation. Create magical memories with your family & friends in this modern, luxurious and spacious resort style home.

Important Notice: Medina Lake Level is very low, but our lovely swimming pool and views are still incredible!

This spectacular estate comprises of three main structures: Main House (sleeps 12), Barndominium (sleeps 4) and Guesthouse (sleeps 4). All three structures are joined together with covered well-lit walkways. Luxury appointments throughout the home with an open plan design and multiple entertainment spaces makes this the perfect family getaway.

The main house downstairs boasts a large fully appointed kitchen with a lovely, bright & airy, open plan design. Luxury appointments in the kitchen include granite counter tops, under counter lighting, soft-close draws, extendable taps, double sink, seated breakfast bar, stainless appliances, range, microwave, French door fridge with bottom freezer, water-maker & dishwasher. Kitchen windows have views of the yard and play areas. Amenities include crockpot, toaster, mixer, blender, BBQ cooking kit, pots, pans, skillets, 2xdrip coffee pots, knife block, cutlery and a dinner setting for 24 people. There is also a generous supply of other useful & common kitchen items & glassware. A half-bathroom is conveniently located at the rear house entrance by the kitchen.

From the kitchen walk down a few steps into the library space, maybe take a nap in the oversized comfy reading chair by the window. Continue through the house to the impressive Great Room and enjoy fantastic uninterrupted views through oversized windows overlooking the lake & pool. This space is incredibly large and designed for dining, games, rest &/or relaxation. The dining table seats 12 people. The extra-large lounge suite and beanbags offer the perfect environment for watching a movie or playing games on the large wall-mounted smart TV. The TV is also connected to an excellent sound system with sub-woofer.

Also downstairs is the sunken master bedroom (queenbed) with a lit walk-in robe (hidden behind the bedroom door), study nook, storage cupboard & large comfortable lounge chair, ceiling fan and dedicated A/C. Just beyond the main master bedroom door is the full bathroom which is effectively the ensuite (however technically it can be accessed by others in the house if they know where to find it). This bathroom has a massive shower, toilet, large sink, granite counter tops and a lot of counter space.

There is an internal spiral staircase from the library taking you to the second level of the main house. There is also an external set of stairs to access upstairs too (so there is no need to attempt to carry luggage via the spiral staircase).

On the second level of the main house are three bedrooms: two queen bedrooms and one bunk room. There is a full bathroom and a half-bath too (so two toilets upstairs). Also on this level is the Sky Bar which has a wet bar area with mini fridge that leads via French doors to the stunning roof top Sky Deck. This is a spectacular space to enjoy a quiet morning coffee, sunset drinks or simply a mindful escape.

The Barndominium boasts a very large entertainment area, bedroom, full bathroom with large shower, laundry (washer & dryer) & separate toilet. In the entertainment space is a wet bar compete with neon lights, pool & fuseball tables, massive lounge suite, TV, fridge & sound system. The bedroom has a queen bed with a bunk bed (sleeps 4 people) and has a dedicated A/C and ceiling fan.

The Guesthouse is a third separate building on the estate. This fully self-contained private space is perfect for a family with young kids. It has a large bedroom with a queenbed and bunk bed, so it sleeps 4 people. It also has a 3 seater lounge chair, A/C & ceiling fan. The private full bathroom consists of a shower, toilet and pedestal handbasin with a third adjoining room containing ample storage, large granite countertop with inset sink & a lot of space – perfect to spread out a little more.

For the mobility challenged the Guesthouse is suitable for walkers and wheelchair access via a ramp, as is the kitchen to the main house. All other areas of the estate have steps or stairs. All showers throughout the property have step-up entry and are not suitable for roll-in wheelchair access.

Each of the three structures (main house, guesthouse & barndominium) each have their own dedicated hot water systems for fast delivery of hot water. All bedrooms and main living spaces throughout the estate are air conditioned, most with ceiling fans too. Wifi is also provided and is accessible throughout the three separate buildings.

The private outdoor pool is a highlight of property with amazing uninterrupted lake views, underwater seats, shallow swim area especially for the kids and fun underwater mood lighting. Next to the pool is a large stone deck area for pool side seating, BBQ & fully shaded dining area. Beyond the pool are wooden stairs leading down to the lake.

With the luxury of the lake at your doorstep you can fish, swim, water-ski, canoe, kayak, enjoy boating, stand-up paddle boarding, or simply sit relax and enjoy the serenity & views.

Low Lake Level Notice: Medina Lake is not a constant level lake. The lake level is currently very low and unfortunately our cove is now dry. Given the amazing pool & other amenities on the property we feel you will most likely not want to leave the premises. However if you do want a small adventure there are now walking tracks on the lake bed that are fun to explore – if you look closely you’ll find old fossils & artifacts. The views from the property are still lovely even when the lake is low.

Upstairs bedrooms had plenty of beds. The pool in the backyard was beautiful. The kids were in it most of the time. The owners and manager were very helpful with things that came up. The location would be perfect if they hadnt been working on the dam , so no water in the cove."

Enjoy the entire log cabin during your stay! 2 bedrooms (1 king & 1 queen, both with memory foam toppers and extra pillows) with a full bathroom (tub/shower combo), full kitchen (full-size fridge/freezer combo...no ice maker, 4 burner stove with oven, microwave and Keurig coffee maker...no dishwasher) and laundry room (please provide your own laundry soap). All linens and towels are provided as well as plenty of shampoo/conditioner and body wash. The front porch faces the fire pit with a table and chairs and a bench. Our back porch has a BBQ grill (please bring your own charcoal), patio table with seating for 6 and views for miles! Outside you can also enjoy a game of cornhole or horseshoes. Pets are welcome, we just ask that you pick up after them outside and keep them off the furniture.

Welcome to Medina Lake Villa. A fantastic waterfront home ideally situated in a quiet cove of Medina Lake. Just 45 minutes from San Antonio this is the ideal place for adventure, relaxation or a corporate retreat. With more sunny days than parts of Florida it is also the best choice for year-round getaways. Indulge yourself in this modern, luxurious and spacious resort style home.

Important Notice: Medina Lake Level is very low, but our amazing private swimming pool and views are still awesome!

Open plan kitchen with stainless appliances & seated breakfast bar. Two bedrooms upstairs with full & half bath, three bedrooms downstairs with full bath. Large dining area with serving bar. Four patio doors give access to multi levels of decks all with dreamy lake views, designed for great entertaining. Walk down to the lakeside covered pavilion complete with bar or after a day on the lake relax in the beautiful zero edge pool surrounded by lovely landscaping.

Concrete gated covered parking for 2 vehicles, plus off-road parking for 3 more cars. Lower hammock deck leads to the only cove with a boardwalk. Concrete path to the covered boat-dock.

The open plan living area comprises of a fully equipped modern kitchen with stainless appliances including dishwasher, oven, induction cook top, microwave, coffee machine and a generous supply of cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware. Dine at the large breakfast bar, or on one of the decks and enjoy the truly spectacular lake views. The great room living area is very spacious with high cathedral ceilings, wooden floors, reverse cycle air conditioning, surround sound music, large screen TV useful for corporate power presentations as well as footy, movies and computer games. There is also a DVD player and connections for game consoles. Enjoy some creative time in the nook often used for arts & crafts, a buffet area or as an office space if some work needs to be done. All these spaces open-up to the large deck via multiple French doors and oversized glass windows to spectacular lake views. On the main upper deck is a large hardwood outdoor dining table, BBQ, sofa, lounge chairs and outdoor heater so you can sit outside even during those slightly cooler seasons.

On the roof top enjoy some quiet time on the Eagles Nest deck, great for watching 4th July fireworks over the lake. The perfect spot for a quiet morning coffee, sunset drinks or simply a mindful escape.

The master bedroom upstairs has its own en-suite with separate shower, toilet and a full bath. A concertina partial-wall allows the master bedroom to open-up to the living space for lake views or close them for privacy. There are four more bedrooms: two bunk rooms downstairs each room having bunk beds (4 beds per bunk room). The other two bedrooms are set-up with a queen bed, one upstairs and one downstairs. All bedrooms downstairs have French doors that open-up to outside areas. The two bunk rooms open-up to another large deck with gorgeous lake views. Linen is provided. There is a full bathroom downstairs with washing machine and dryer. The toilet downstairs is a separate room to the bathroom. There is another half-bathroom upstairs.

Further down the outdoor stairs towards the lake you will find several other excellent entertainment areas to sit and enjoy a meal or just relax together while the kids play in the lake, pool or on the lawn. There is also an outdoor shaded bar overlooking Medina Lake which is complete with refrigerator, TV, stereo & bar stools.

The private outdoor pool is a highlight of property, with zero edge lake views, underwater seats, massive cantilever umbrella for ample shade and underwater mood lighting. Next to the pool is a large stone deck area for pool side seating. It’s the ideal area for relaxing around a fire pit during the evenings too!

The private undercover boat dock is perfectly nestled into the quiet cove for easy access (lake-level permitting). Put your boat and jet-skis in the water using the public boat-ramp at the start of your stay, store them in the boat dock on property throughout your stay, then pull them out of the water again at the end of your stay. Or if you don’t have a boat, use the dock as a lovely place to sit atop the water in the shade to watch the world go by.

With the luxury of the lake at your doorstep you can fish, swim, water-ski , canoe, kayak, enjoy boating, stand-up paddle boarding, or simply sit relax and enjoy the serenity & views . Tip: the sunset views over the lake are truly incredible to watch!

Far from your usual holiday home, this property is better described as a resort. You are sure to enjoy the easy, relaxed and tranquil atmosphere that such a well-appointed property creates. This is a one-of-a-kind property!

Shops and gas is located only a few minutes from the accommodation.

Low Lake Level Notice: Medina Lake is not a constant level lake. The lake level is currently very low and unfortunately our cove is now dry. Given the amazing pool & other amenities on the property we feel you will most likely not want to leave the premises. However if you do want a small adventure there are now walking tracks on the lake bed that are fun to explore – if you look closely you’ll find old fossils & artifacts. The views from the property are still lovely even when the lake is low.

Three of the five bedrooms are downstairs, but only one AC downstairs (four upstairs) so that got a little warm but not horrible. Welcome to our beautiful and spacious 1800 sq ft home with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Bedrooms have a king and 2 queen beds, along with king size trundle bed in the living room. Come enjoy our 2nd story covered patio with an amazing view of Medina Lake! Our upper and lower covered patios have tables, chairs, and a gas grill. We also provide a fire pit to enjoy with your family or friends. Our home is a 5 minute walk to the water. Plenty of parking available for your boat and a few cars!

House is furnished with full size refrigerator, stove, washer, dryer, and microwave and everything else to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We provide 2 Smart TV's and a wii gaming system as well as free wifi, fresh towels and linens, gourmet coffee beans, assorted sweeteners and creamer. We also provide a high chair, pack-n-play, ironing board, iron and hairdryer. Shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent and washer and dryer provided. We also provide a king size trundle bed that is available in the upstairs living room.

Outdoor activities include walking/hiking, fishing, swimming, and boating. Boat rentals are available at several nearby locations. Within an hour's drive, consider horse-back riding, antiquing, wineries, or check out the town of Bandera, the "Cowboy Capital of the World," as well as theme parks and the National Shooting Complex.

The lakehouse is located on a quiet street and most neighbors are permanent residents. Loud music and voices carry so if partying is what you have in mind, it's best to consider another property.

There is no boat launch available in the neighborhood. Options for launching are Red Cove Marina, Joe's Place Marina (each about 6 1/2 miles away), or Medina Lake County Park, 8 miles away.

Enjoy dinner from our patio overlooking Medina Lake Dam. Our Ranch house has everything you will need except groceries! A fully stocked kitchen, just bring your groceries!
The space
Our Ranch house is located behind an electric gate and features 5 full bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 2 living areas. Plenty of room for the entire family or share it with another family! Plenty of parking and yard to play in!

You will enter the Ranch house via a code on the side door lock into the game room. The game room has a smart TV, sofa and 2 chairs. This TV has a Xbox 360, so bring your games! We also have a shuffleboard and 14 in 1 game table along with board games and books to entertain everyone!
The game room also leads to 2 bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen) and a full bathroom.

Down the hallway you will pass by a full laundry room (please bring your own supplies) and into the open concept kitchen/dining/living area.

The kitchen is an open layout and is open to the family room. We have 6 high bar stools and a table that seats 4+ chairs. Our kitchen is stocked with an electric oven/stove, side by side fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, dishes etc. We have a full size coffee maker and a Keurig machine, please bring your favorite coffee supplies. In the closet you will find an Instapot, blender, mixer, and a tea kettle. Our kitchen sink features a reverse osmosis system for drinking water! The kitchen also has a dishwasher and dish soap. Just bring your food!

The main family room features 2 couches, recliner and a sofa chair along with an oversized flat screen smart TV with dvd player and Dish Network. The living area opens up to 2 bedrooms (1 queen each), the master bedroom/bath and a full size bathroom (tub/shower combo).

Our master suite features a king cedar bed, double cedar rocker, smart tv, and a full closet to store your belongings. Our newly remodeled master bathroom features an oversized walk in shower, soaker tub and a double vanity.

Our house is stocked with all linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner and body wash.

Our covered back patio faces Medina Lake and gives a wonderful view of the lake and dam! We have a charcoal BBQ grill (please bring your own charcoal). The back patio has a 6 person outdoor table, 4 person outdoor table, fire pit with 4 Adirondack style chairs, and miscellaneous other chairs.

We do not have lake access but we are only a short 7 minute drive to Red’s Cove or Joe’s Marina for boat launch (fee). Looking to rent kayaks or learn to Water Ski or Wake Board? Wallys Watersports is a great place to rent them or take a lesson and has a private dock for your enjoyment during your rental. Book early as Wallys' books up. Don't have a boat? You can still enjoy a day on the waters of the Medina River at either Paradise Canyon or Riverside park located about 10 mins from Sunset Ranch.

Pet Policy: while we do love furry animals, we just finished a complete remodel and ask for your help in keeping it new. We do not allow animals of any type at the Ranch house. If your interested in bringing your pet, please inquire about our other 2 smaller houses. Violation of this will result in loss of deposit.

Enjoy over 55 acres of hiking and exploring on foot! Our house is located behind automatic gate for added security. Please obey all posted signs and do not go beyond the no trespassing signs as this is not part of Sunset Ranch.

All houses are behind an electric gate to ensure your privacy and safety during your stay. For an easier way to view each house separately, please visit the three individual houses on the prior page. The Log house and the Cabin are side by side and the Ranch house is about a 1/3 mile away on the same driveway. The space The houses, largest to smallest: 1. Ranch house - The first house inside our electric gate is the Ranch house, which has an amazing view of Medina Lake Dam from the back patio! This house features 5 full bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 2 living areas. Plenty of room for the entire family or share it with another family! Plenty of parking and yard to play in! You will enter the Ranch house via a code on the side door lock into the game room. The game room has a smart TV plus a sleeper sofa and a 2 chairs. This TV has a Xbox 360, so bring your games! We also have a shuffle board and 14 in 1 game table along with board games and books to entertain everyone! The game room also leads to 2 bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen) and a full bathroom. Down the hallway you will pass by a full laundry room (please bring your own supplies) and into the kitchen/dining/living area. The kitchen is an open layout and is open to the family room. We have 6 high bar stools and a table that seats 6+ chairs. Our kitchen is stocked with an electric oven/stove, side by side fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, dishes etc. We have a full size coffee maker and a Keurig machine, please bring your favorite coffee supplies. In the closet you will find an Instapot, blender, mixer, and a tea kettle. Our kitchen sink features a reverse osmosis filter! The kitchen also has a dishwasher and dish soap. Just bring your food! The main family room features 2 couches and sofa chair along with an oversized flat screen smart TV with dvd player and Dish Network. The living area opens up to 2 bedrooms (1 queen each), the master bedroom/bath and a fullsize bathroom (tub/shower combo). Our newly remodeled master bathroom features an oversized walk in shower, soaker tub and a double vanity. Our house is stocked with all linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Our covered back patio faces Medina Lake and gives a wonderful view of the lake and dam! We have a charcoal BBQ grill (please bring your own charcoal) and a second refrigerator on the back patio available to use as well. The back patio has a 6 person outdoor table, 4 person outdoor table, fire pit with 4 Adirondack style chairs, miscellaneous other chairs, corn hole, and horseshoes. This house has WiFi but pets are not allowed. 2.. The next two houses are about 1/3 mile down the rock driveway from the Ranch house. The first house at the top of the hill is the Log Cabin, which is a 2 bedroom (1 queen & 1 king) authentic log house with a full bathroom (tub/shower combo), kitchen (everything but a dishwasher), dining area (table for 6), living area (smart tv/dish network with 2 futons) and laundry room for your use during stay (please bring your own detergent). The front porch faces the fire pit and our back porch has a charcoal BBQ grill (please provide your own), patio table seating for 6 and views for miles! This listing is pet friendly and has WiFi. 3. This listing also includes the studio style cabin that is about 150 ft to the west of the Log House. The Cabin features a main room with 2 full-size beds, a small dining table for 4, TV/DVD player, kitchenette (full size cooktop, toaster oven, mini fridge/freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee pot, dishes/pots/pans), and a full bathroom (tub/shower combo). This cabin does not have WIFI. We do not have lake access from the Ranch but we are only a short 5 minute drive to Sunset Resort or Red’s Cove boat launch (fee). Looking to rent kayaks or learn to Water Ski or Wake Board? Wallys Watersports is a great place to rent them or take a lesson and operates out of Sunset Resort for enjoyment during your rental. Book early as Wallys' books up. Don't have a boat? You can still enjoy a day on the waters of the Medina River at either Paradise Canyon or Riverside park located about 10 mins from Sunset Ranch. Pet Policy: while we do love furry animals, we just finished a complete remodel of our Ranch house and ask for your help in keeping it new. We do not allow animals of any type at the Ranch house.
