A peaceful getaway on the edge of the Hill Country near Medina Lake. Enjoy a little slice of heaven in our studio style Cabin. This unit is a stand alone building (~ 600 sq ft.), located about 150 feet from the main Log House. It has a large full bathroom, a main area that features 2 beds, kitchen and table. Our cabin is located behind an electric gate & is a quick 5 min. drive to Sunset Resort & Marina to access Medina Lake or 10 mins to Paradise Canyon on Medina River.

The space
One room cabin at Sunset Ranch is a stand alone building and is approx 600 sq ft located about 150 feet from the main Log House. This cabin features a front porch with a porch swing and table and a back porch as well with a table.
The main room features:
-2 full/double size bed (all bed linens provided and all have memory foam toppers!)
-kitchen with cooktop, microwave, toaster oven and a small refrigerator/freezer combo, a Keurig coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes
-a high bar top with 2 bar stools, and a dining table with 4 chairs.
-a small tv with local channels and DVD player, no internet or cable, but cellphones work great!
-closet with a hanging area and drawers

A full-size bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The bathroom is stocked with plenty of shampoo/conditioner/soap, hair dryer and towels!

Enjoy the views from the porch swing on the front porch! Our back porch features a charcoal grill for your use. Please bring your own charcoal.

You have an outdoor fire pit just out front of the cabin and is a great way to enjoy a relaxing evening under the stars! Please bring your own firewood.

Pet friendly, please keep them on a leash when others are around, off the furniture and pickup after them.

Non-smoking of any type in the house

No hunting or shooting of any kind of firearms or bow and arrows allowed.

While we are not located on the water of Medina Lake, we are only a 5 min drive to Sunset Resort & Marina or Wally’s Watersports (kayak rental and ski or wakeboard lessons). Don't have a boat but will looking to get on the water? Enjoy a day of swimming or floating at Paradise Canyon or Riverside Park on the Medina River just 10 mins from the ranch. There is room for 1 vehicle for parking.

Enjoy the entire log cabin during your stay! 2 bedrooms (1 king & 1 queen, both with memory foam toppers and extra pillows) with a full bathroom (tub/shower combo), full kitchen (full-size fridge/freezer combo...no ice maker, 4 burner stove with oven, microwave and Keurig coffee maker...no dishwasher) and laundry room (please provide your own laundry soap). All linens and towels are provided as well as plenty of shampoo/conditioner and body wash. The front porch faces the fire pit with a table and chairs and a bench. Our back porch has a BBQ grill (please bring your own charcoal), patio table with seating for 6 and views for miles! Outside you can also enjoy a game of cornhole or horseshoes. Pets are welcome, we just ask that you pick up after them outside and keep them off the furniture.

Enjoy over 4 acres of hiking and exploring on foot! We are located off of a paved County road, but our driveway is approximately a 1/4 mile -1/2 mile of rock road and hills that leads to quietness! We are located behind an automatic gate.

A peaceful getaway near Medina Lake! Our 5 bedroom, 3000 sf+ house is only a 7 min drive to 2 boat launches on Medina Lake w/room to park a boat trailer! Enjoy 55+ acres of rugged terrain to hike or explore on foot during the day & in evening enjoy a campfire or the view of the bright stars from the dark night sky! Enjoy dinner from our patio overlooking Medina Lake Dam. Our Ranch house has everything you will need except groceries! A fully stocked kitchen, just bring your groceries!
The space
Our Ranch house is located behind an electric gate and features 5 full bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 2 living areas. Plenty of room for the entire family or share it with another family! Plenty of parking and yard to play in!

You will enter the Ranch house via a code on the side door lock into the game room. The game room has a smart TV, sofa and 2 chairs. This TV has a Xbox 360, so bring your games! We also have a shuffleboard and 14 in 1 game table along with board games and books to entertain everyone!
The game room also leads to 2 bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen) and a full bathroom.

Down the hallway you will pass by a full laundry room (please bring your own supplies) and into the open concept kitchen/dining/living area.

The kitchen is an open layout and is open to the family room. We have 6 high bar stools and a table that seats 4+ chairs. Our kitchen is stocked with an electric oven/stove, side by side fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, dishes etc. We have a full size coffee maker and a Keurig machine, please bring your favorite coffee supplies. In the closet you will find an Instapot, blender, mixer, and a tea kettle. Our kitchen sink features a reverse osmosis system for drinking water! The kitchen also has a dishwasher and dish soap. Just bring your food!

The main family room features 2 couches, recliner and a sofa chair along with an oversized flat screen smart TV with dvd player and Dish Network. The living area opens up to 2 bedrooms (1 queen each), the master bedroom/bath and a full size bathroom (tub/shower combo).

Our master suite features a king cedar bed, double cedar rocker, smart tv, and a full closet to store your belongings. Our newly remodeled master bathroom features an oversized walk in shower, soaker tub and a double vanity.

Our house is stocked with all linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner and body wash.

Our covered back patio faces Medina Lake and gives a wonderful view of the lake and dam! We have a charcoal BBQ grill (please bring your own charcoal). The back patio has a 6 person outdoor table, 4 person outdoor table, fire pit with 4 Adirondack style chairs, and miscellaneous other chairs.

We do not have lake access but we are only a short 7 minute drive to Red’s Cove or Joe’s Marina for boat launch (fee). Looking to rent kayaks or learn to Water Ski or Wake Board? Wallys Watersports is a great place to rent them or take a lesson and has a private dock for your enjoyment during your rental. Book early as Wallys' books up. Don't have a boat? You can still enjoy a day on the waters of the Medina River at either Paradise Canyon or Riverside park located about 10 mins from Sunset Ranch.

Pet Policy: while we do love furry animals, we just finished a complete remodel and ask for your help in keeping it new. We do not allow animals of any type at the Ranch house. If your interested in bringing your pet, please inquire about our other 2 smaller houses. Violation of this will result in loss of deposit.

- "It is a nice place. Very clean. Secluded but easy to get to. Just a couple of qualms: The loft has very little headroom, if you know what I mean. Our fridge didnt ever get cold but we bought a bag of ice, kept it sealed, and used that to get it to temp. The water/septic system has a sulfuric smell and was a little much to tolerate. Other than that, it’s a nice place."

The Log house and the Cabin are side by side and the Ranch house is about a 1/3 mile away on the same driveway. The space The houses, largest to smallest: 1. Ranch house - The first house inside our electric gate is the Ranch house, which has an amazing view of Medina Lake Dam from the back patio! This house features 5 full bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 2 living areas. Plenty of room for the entire family or share it with another family! Plenty of parking and yard to play in! You will enter the Ranch house via a code on the side door lock into the game room. The game room has a smart TV plus a sleeper sofa and a 2 chairs. This TV has a Xbox 360, so bring your games! We also have a shuffle board and 14 in 1 game table along with board games and books to entertain everyone! The game room also leads to 2 bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen) and a full bathroom. This listing also includes the studio style cabin that is about 150 ft to the west of the Log House. The Cabin features a main room with 2 full-size beds, a small dining table for 4, TV/DVD player, kitchenette (full size cooktop, toaster oven, mini fridge/freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee pot, dishes/pots/pans), and a full bathroom (tub/shower combo). The space
Pull through the private and gated entrance down a gravel road to arrive to a beautiful and secluded river house on 4 fenced acres! Greeted by a classic Texas-Sized porch this house is a thoughtfully updated 3/3 with full kitchen, comfy beds and cozy living room. The home is set up perfectly to spend quality time with friends and family. A large kitchen will be a great place to gather for meals and games, have a drink at The Lucky Dip bar which is stocked with spirits for adult-relaxation. The living room is large enough for the entire crew but cozy. Including plenty of seating for a movie night, a wood burning fireplace and a piano perfect for sing alongs. Each bedroom includes a private bathroom and cozy quilts to keep warm. No detail was missed outdoors within the setting as you enjoy the beautiful landscaped beds and shady spots to sit and relax. Sit on the swing on a large covered front porch with a constant breeze to watch the deer and wildlife in the pasture or retire to the back deck which overlooks your own private park-like setting with river access showcasing a huge pecan tree and crystal clear Medina River. Access your private riverbank, located 150 yards from your back door by taking the staircase immediately off the backdeck and a short walk through the grassy field or pack the car and drive down the private gravel drive which leads directly to the rivers edge. Once in the water, sit and relax under towering Cypress Trees as the water gently rolls on. A short walk up river leads to a private park where the water runs swiftly over pebbled river beds and fish swim along side your feet. After a day on the water enjoy a sunset behind the rolling hills before roasting marshmallows in the firepit under the stars.

Guest access
4 fenced private acres on the Medina River. Parking for everyone inside the lockable front gate, including RV and trailer. Fenceline adjacent to a private neighborhood park, with direct access. Pull through the front gate and park directly in front of house. Private drive to the right will lead you to the Medina River. River is behind the house and easily accessible with a short walk as well.

Other things to note
This home is very secluded and is behind a locked gate. 45 minutes from San Antonio and 15 minutes to Bandera. The river bottom is solid rock which can make it slippery, we always suggest water shoes when taking a dip!
