There was a nearby summer camp using the property’s dock to take kids out in boats, but all our interactions with them were great, everyone was very friendly…and our pups enjoyed the extra pets!"

The weather was rotten for mid-march and the reason for the trip didn’t help either but the condo alleviated so much stress and burden. The view was exceptional. The bunk room was perfect for our kids. The ease of having the elevator right outside the unit to move in and out was heavenly. We were very comfortable and had plenty of space to spread out when we needed. The unit has all of the essentials plus a grocery store, Starbucks,Sonic, CVS, and several other places near by were so convenient. The property manager Mr. Wallace was so kind and helpful and responded immediately to a late in the evening technical user error!"

About this space
You will make lifetime memories at this wonderful gathering location nestled in the beautiful Texas Hill Country on the northern shores of Lake Travis. The home is built to entertain and host, with ample room and a rich variety of entertainment. The lake is at your disposal nearby with parks, boat ramps, and water activities. Also, it is less than 40 miles to downtown Austin, so a night out in the city is well within reach, and you will have a cozy and secluded house in the hills to return to.
The space
The city motto of Lago Vista is, “live like you’re on vacation,” and your group will understand why after spending time here. The home, with its fine wood flooring and stone wall stylings, has 6 bedrooms with three king size beds, and four full bathrooms available as well as large living and dining rooms. A full kitchen will be at the ready for meal preparation with stainless steel appliances, plenty of countertop space, an open floor area for maneuvering, and a bar top section into the dining room with three barstools. The outside area is expansive and hosts only the beginning of the entertainment available with seating around a smokeless fire pit for lounging and smores, a BBQ pit, corn hole, ring toss, and more. Inside continues the options for fun with more games such as pool, ping pong, shuffle board, and many DVDs of movies spanning all genres and options for all ages. If any work must be done while there, the two master bedrooms have desks in them for working with additional privacy, as well as one desk near the living area.
Guest access
Guests have access to all areas of the home. Four bedrooms will be on the top level, and the other two are on the lower level.
Other things to note
There are several places to launch boats nearby, but many are only operational at certain lake levels. We encourage you to check ahead of time with them to see what the closest active option will be during your stay.

In the city of Lago Vista just a few miles away there are grocery stores you can visit to get any provisions you will need for your stay.

Parties and events are prohibited by Airbnb as a platform and property management. Smoking is not allowed. Pets are also not allowed, but there is a fantastic boarding option nearby at The Lago Vista Pet Retreat, which is only a quarter mile down the road.

The space:
Whether you are here for a work retreat or an executive getaway, “The Lake House” has several quiet areas for you to escape and recharge. In the morning, you will enjoy coffee from the Jura coffee machine as you watch fish jump across the surface of the lake. Feel free to relax in one of three outdoor patios or down on the private dock. If you feel productive, you can start the day with a workout in the CrossFit inspired full gym, which features a squat rack, free weights, Universal machine, and a Peloton.

When you feel inspired to get some work done, head up the spiral staircase for a view of the entire lake area. There you will feel inspired to write, create, and brainstorm, or you can use it as a recording area with a view.

On the main floor you will find the living room, fully stocked kitchen, and dining area, as well as a balcony. There are two bedrooms (one with a full bed and one with 2 twin beds), a full bathroom, and a half bath/laundry room combo. The main floor also has a dedicated office space with plenty of desk space, including an adjustable standing desk, a printer, 2 monitors, and access to your typical office supplies. Of course, there is wifi available throughout the house.

The primary suite has its own floor, and the bedroom has a queen bed and a chaise lounge. You will enjoy lake views from your bedroom, or you can escape to the small balcony for a full outdoor view. The crown jewel of the house is the master bathroom, which features a luxurious tub and a large shower with three showerheads.

If your co-workers or clients come to visit, you can surprise them by opening the secret doorway that leads to the conference area. There you will find a wall of whiteboards and a conference table to work together, with a mini bar, small fridge, and lounge area ready to support a full work day.

Should you choose to bring children, you can send them away to the kids playroom room, which is stocked full of art supplies, books, and toys, as well as a wall of white boards for fun doodling. If they like it there too much to leave, they can sleep on the futon that folds out into a single bed.

When you feel ready to end the day, you will discover the hammock in the backyard, and you can put a signature on the day by the fire pit and private dock. The lake temperature is always inviting, and there is a swim ladder to make it easier to get on and off the dock when you go swimming in the lake.

At night you can turn on the string lights in the backyard trees as well as on the decks off the main floor living room and the basement living room. They make for a magical experience once the sun has set.

Whether you stay at the house all day or escape to one of the many wonderful restaurants in the area, “The Lake House” offers a perfect place for a quiet escape for you, your family, or your clients.

Guest access:
The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood on a narrow road so parking along the street is discouraged because it's so narrow. But the garage will hold 2 cars and is available for your use, including the EV charger, and the driveway can park 6 cars. You have full use of the house, the yard, and the dock (except the 2 jet skis).

Other things to note - EVENTS:
The house is available for events, gatherings, and some types of parties. We've done several workshops and retreats at the house, which are a perfect fit for the space. The house accommodates a group of 15-20 daytime guests very well. We might consider allowing 25-30 people depending on the event, but 30 would be the maximum number allowed. (Please reach out and let us know your needs and we can discuss your options.)

We have some supplies on hand that help manage a workshop or retreat with ease. And we'd be happy to share information on how we've handled events successfully in the past.

If you're interested in doing any kind of event, you will need to be approved first. Please reach out to me before booking with the details so we can discuss what's possible. Without approval, any kind of event is prohibited and the house rule of a 10 guest maximum remains in effect.

Note: With event approval, you could be allowed to have up to 30 people at the house, but only during the daytime. Overnight guests at the house are limited to 10 people.

Three adults used this place as a base of operations for a fly fishing trip. The deck was great and the outside tub spout on the ramp came in handy for washing gear and boots. This 3 bedroom/2 bath villa is very spacious at over 1440 sq. ft with a fully equipped kitchen and two dining areas, one indoor and one on the patio with a beautiful lake view. Bedding includes a king, queen, two twins, and sleeps 6. The master bedroom has a private bath and private access to a porch sitting area. The second guest bedroom also has a private bath.
Relax on the oversized back covered porch that includes three comfortable seating areas as well as a barbecue grill and large table that seats six for your outdoor living area/dining needs.

The Hollows Resort is the only master planned community on Lake Travis and is the most scenic location on the lake with 1,500 acres of beautiful Texas Hill Country surrounded by the clear waters of the premier recreational lake. From Edgewood Way Drive you can access the lake through a beautiful nature trail that leads to a Lake Travis cove next to the Beach Club. Also, on Edgewood Way Drive at the highest point of the resort is the Hilltop Smokehouse. This is a great place for family gatherings and has covered seating, a large fire pit, grill, smoker, restrooms, and is a wonderful place to watch the sunset.

The Beach Club includes a Grill/Bar, an infinity pool, children's pool, spa pools/hot tub, large smokehouse, fitness center, hammocks, grills, a sand volleyball court, and access to the lake. And there are 15 miles of hiking trails throughout the resort and meander among the hills and wooded forests down to the lake.

You can launch your boat or personal watercraft at our private boat ramp and store your trailer in a secure area. The full-service Hollows Marina has slips for overnight rental, a fuel dock, and a ships store for your convenience. You can also rent ski or pontoon boats at nearby locations. Lake Travis is a 65-mile-long lake and has many beautiful coves for swimming as well as numerous restaurants, marinas, and services for your days on the water.

- "Enjoyed our stay over the July 4 weekend. When we arrived, the check in process was easy and the property was very clean. It had everything you needed for a great stay and had starter items which gave you time to run to the store. From the welcome basket to area restaurant recommendations to detailed instructions. The kitchen had everything you needed (pots/pans, basic spices, lots of cooking utensils), the beds were very comfortable and the views from the balcony were relaxing. We sat on the balcony with our coffee every morning watching the hummingbirds and had a glass of wine in the evening. The air conditioner worked great after being at the beach club. We would definitely rent this property again."

Perfectly situated in the heart of Jonestown, our property allows you to experience the charm of a small town while being just a short drive away from the vibrant energy of Austin.

- "Up until the night before we were to arrive communication was good. The night before I asked about check-in instructions, got nothing until the next morning. I got zero information about a door code. It was not until I texted the property manager that were 20 mins away that we were told where the key was because the front keypad lock was running through batteries. We get to the house but had to go down a sketchy street. We pull up to discover there is another house on the property that looks to be rented long term. There was not an issue it was just unexpected. I contacted the manager because it looked like the two were actually attached. This is when we find out this is actually a family compound. We find the key and go in, only to be created by a stale smell and all the typical bugs one finds inside usual lake houses. As stated the house is old and refinished. It is pier and beam and literally every step one takes results in a creak of the floor that echoes all over the house. The red bedroom has a brick hard bed, the lower bunk bed is okay, the master bed is somewhat comfy as is the other queen bed. By far the brown couches are the best sleeping spot. The master shower is good, but the bathtub, not so much. We had four towels for 5 people and ended up buying towels because they smelled bad. We actually found towels in the dryer, but they also smelled mildewy. Finally the microwave works but then has to cool down before it can be used again. The pool and the view are great."

Incredible private lake front property!! Picture perfect sunset views. This property is located in a large, quiet cove on Lake Travis. It has a private dock with picnic tables for guest use! Bring your boat or jet ski and park it over night! There is a public boat ramp (Mansfield Dam - cash or check only) 10 minutes from the house and several boat rental businesses nearby to take advantage of a true lake vacation!

Inside the cozy cabin is the master bedroom: it is light and airy and has a queen size bed. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room for additional sleeping space. The main home has a fully equipped kitchen and large bathroom with double sinks and a large shower. The washer/dryer is also available for your use. The main house sleeps 4.

For additional sleeping space, this property has 2 unique bunk houses. The larger of the 2 has a kitchenette and 2 futons that open into twin beds.

The second bunk house is the perfect place for tweens & teens to hang out in the loft area or on the twin futon and stream their favorite shows. Both bunk houses have A/C to give guests a quiet, cool sleeping space (no heat).

Enjoy a little piece of lake front living while having the conveniences of grocery stores, fabulous restaurants, and live music 10 to 15 minutes away. If downtown Austin is on your list it's just a 35 minute drive through the hills of our beautiful city. This property is pet friendly so (at your own risk) bring your pups & let them run around in the fenced backyard. There is a grill on the property to enjoy cookouts. There is also a fire pit in the backyard to roast marshmallows and make s’mores! Yum! A dock that you can fish or a boat slip if you have a boat. The cabin is nicely furnished with some cookware and dishes. We brought our 2 small dogs and I loved the fact the backyard is fenced in. I would recommend only a small group (party of 4 or less) to stay here since it is a 1 bedroom with a fold out couch and 1 bathroom. There are extra cabins available on the property for an extra fee. So if you looking for a cabin with country charm and being away from noise from the city this is for you!"
