It’s a 4 star that would struggle to get a 3 star rating in any other country. Staff on reception were so aloof, least friendly we’d come across. Property has no pool service, all courts are dirty, just not up to its 4/5 star billing. I’m sure the new annex is better but I would not pay €900 a night to stay in this hotel. It doesn’t deserve 5 stars. "

- "First, I want to say we had a great experience staying here. Not many Americans visit this area. We got to meet travelers from all over Europe. My good and bad notes; Sunbeds are not free. Bring bug spray, lots of mosquitoes at dusk. Ocean water was very warm, perfect temperature. Breakfast was free and pretty good. Place is beautiful at night. Lots of restaurants and shops near by. We did not eat dinner at the hotel so I cant say if its good or not. Seemed to be clean and well kept. If your budget allows, I recommend it."

- "Everything was excellent " - "Front desk staff amazing very accommodating and helpful. Thank you " - "Great location, right on the beachfront. We had a Comfort Room, which was very comfortable, spacious and had perfect view from the 6th floor over the beach. Highly recommendable. Very extensive breakfast buffet. On the negative side, check-in was slow with no additional information, like where breakfast would be, or discounted pricing for the beaches, or information about the facilities (we realized only after a few days that the hotel has a big swimming pool area at the back). Breakfast was trying at times - coffee machines placed so that people getting coffee blocked getting to the buffet, often no cups, staff didn't notice the machines needed refilling. Check-in and breakfast were both not the sort of service one would expect in a 4-star hotel. We were completely ignored on our 2nd day at lunch at one of the hotel's beach restaurants, eventually we simply left and lunched for the rest of our stay at another restaurant. "

The staff were very nice and helpful, we never discovered the tennis court or why the hotel had golf in its name and had no relation to this sports. The building required urgent updating and decoration. The plug socket also required attention. It is advertised as a 4 star but at best more like a 2 star. "

Free bikes to use to ride into town. The breakfast was continental, as expected. Site had it’s own reserved beach area where you could rent an umbrella and beach chair. It normally was 5 euro a person but since we didn’t know, they gave it to us for free :) Well worth the cost. "
