- "The location of the hotel is at the slope and the lift. Perfect for ones who don't want to walk with the skis. Food is great with variety of dishes. The car park the hotel recommends is a multi storey on the edge of town but a member of staff travelled up with me following him and then he gave me a lift back - and even helped with buying the correct (and best value) parking ticket. The room was warm and had radiators that were easy to contraplano rather than those electric heaters found in many ski hotels that can dehydrate you so badly overnight. The breakfast was good and the half board option was a real bargain. The evening meals all have a home-cooked feel and are tasty but nothing fancy - so I would recommend getting out to other restaurants too (but as the half board option really is so very reasonable we didn’t mind missing the meal the one night we went elsewhere). The staff do stand out best being really goody. The bar man in the hotel bar was charming as was the maitre’d in the restaurant. We would be very likely to stay here again. The skiing is as great. We got lucky with the wether that was sunny and clear most of the week. All round, a very happy week."

- " " - "TOP" - "We got in really late at night and were lost and they were so nice staying on the phone till they figured out we were lost and came and got us (not a standard service but it shows how nice they were. The apartment was basic but functional. We were on the top floor and had a stunning view of the snow capped mountains. Had to make own bed and buy own shampoo and loo roll but liked the location at the top of the hill (if you take the bus from the airport like we did, you have to walk up the main street and take a right before sporting hotel and keep zig zagging up till you get there). About 150 meters away is the olympiades hotel - and access to the pistes. I blew out my knee on the first day and a word of caution - they got me to the 'medic' which was a bit of a joke. THey charged 350 Euro for a ten minute exam to tell me that i tore a ligament - which I pretty much already knew. Hope this doesnt happen to you but if so ask for an estimate first. The hotel and the ski rental place in the lobby were really nice - they refunded my skis for the remaining days which they didn't have to do. All in all I probably would opt for higher quality furnishings but it was fine if you, like we did, just needed a place to crash while out skiing all day. Elo at front desk gets special mention - she is a doll and so helpful."

Dinner was again lovely, basic but filling and wholesome food that was different everyday so great to see and also fresh meats and fish cooked to how you like it from a chef on a hot plate so very impressed for the ££. Location wise it’s a very short (2-3 min) walk in ski boots and your on piste with boot room etc on the same floor as street level, so good to see. All in all great clean and friendly hotel! "

- "The apartment overall was nice and clean enough, however the service we received from the group managing the hotel was appalling. They don't speak a word of English, the drive to pick up the keys is 25 minutes, When we reported that there was water leaking on the floor, the washing machine not even plumbed I , and the pillowcases FAR too small for the pillows provided, we received no response to our three emails , even though we emailed within their specified 48 hr time frame. When someone eventually did turn up to fix the washing machine (after hotels.com got involved ) we were given no notice, he turned up at 9in the morning, left and came back at 7pm at night. We still have not received our refund of our 150 deposit either. Extremely disappointed."

- "Overall the apartment was good. Decent size and enough amenities for a self catering appt. Close to the slopes which was a bonus however being so close ment being close to some bars and the main nightclub was situated next door so if you are wanting a good nights sleep be aware this is not likely to happen. Noise continued until the early hours. If you are young and looking for a ski filled, booze filled holiday then this is perfect. My only dissapointment was against the instructions given for checking in. I was told on my email confirmation to call the number provided 24 hrs before. I did this and was instructed to call a number once we arrived. When we arrived we headed to what we thought was Appartment Lake Placid going from the image on google maps but it wasn't it was lake placid 80. The receptionist was very unhelpful and just said sorry i'm closed this isn't lake placid 3000 but read the sign. We did which was not clear at all. Lake Placid is not one building with aparts but a company that have multiple appts all round Pas. I tried to call the number provided the day before and it just rang and rang. Only by asking a group of people (luckily) we found we had to go to an office to pick up the keys. Very bad instructions from the confirmation email so please be aware. At one point from lack of instruction we were unsure whether we had a bed for the night. However once we were finally in the place was good. We stayed in the Sky Appartment."

Also the Pictures were not at all like the actual apartment. The pictures were very nice of the nicest units they had, and the actual apartment was a dump, run down, old, and extremely meager. There was also no wifi and upon complaining they told me to read the fine print next time!!! They came to try to fix the smell, but they couldn't do anything, nor would they change my apartment. I wanted to leave from the second day but they told me they weren't going to give me my money back if I left early. In the end it was so horrible that I left a day early since I couldn't stand that smell anymore. It was the most horrible stay I have ever had to endure in my life and they didn't offer anything about it. It seems horrible to me that until now they have not offered me a refund. Aren't they going to do anything about it?"

Lift or stairs to rooms above, the rooms are adequate, warm and clean with a reasonable shower, each level has lockers for ski equipment. What really makes this establishment shine is the staff, Julio and his team are fantastic, courteous and friendly and extremely friendly with younger families, they made our holiday!!! We are definitely returning next year, February 2023, and will be staying at the wonderful Hotel Merino, thank you everyone at this establishment, you are the best!! "

The whole buildong would do well from a renovation (as much of Pas de la Casa). Skiing is great. Apartment all new and very cozy located opposite the lifts with balcony to the ski slopes, 50 m. just to cross the street already have lifts and ski runs. They are also located in front of the lockers for ski pass sales offices and ski school. You have all the services, shops and restaurants next to the apartment.
