This house has one of the best views in Patonga. Sit back and relax and enjoy sensational 180 degree, ever changing views of Patonga's bay, no matter what the weather. A wall of folding doors fully opens the living space to the verandah where you are surrounded by the views of the bay, the creek and the bush. You enjoy complete privacy and the space to relax and unwind. Your only visitors will be the native birds.

Two living areas ensures there is room for all. Ideal for a weekend away with friends or family. Open plan living includes a recently renovated kitchen, large dining and living areas with a contemporary gas fire and see through blinds to draw in those winter months. In summer air con and ceiling fans are there to keep you cool.

The main bedroom has an ensuite with spa bath. The bedroom features tall windows with views of bush, creek and beach. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom has two single beds which can, if required, lock together to form a queen bed. There are also two double bed sofa beds. One is situated on the mezzanine level and has a latex topper. The other sofa bed can be found downstairs in the second living area.

You are assured of a happy, relaxing time at Patonga with NBN if you wish to work from Patonga Views. There are two TVs , one is a smart TV in the upstairs living area. The other is downstairs and operates using Google Chrome.

We have a two night minimum stay and three night minimum during peak times !

Parking :

Off street parking is available for approximately two to three cars if you are happy to use the driveway - be warned it is on the steep side. Alternatively park at the bottom of the driveway or opposite the house. And look out for the bush turkeys who visit !

Patonga :

Patonga is a delightful fishing village which provides the starting point for several wonderful bush walks into the National Park. The creek is also an ideal area for both adults and children to explore. You can also come prepared to play tennis at the local courts found at the end of the beach while the children have fun in the playground situated next to the courts. These courts can be booked at the local shop. Bring your kayak too if you have one, for a wonderful paddle up the creek.
A daily ferry offers a trip across the bay to Palm Beach. A water taxi service is available if you need it.
For fine dining try the Box at Ettalong , situated on the bay. Check reviews however as quality may change!
Alternatively grab a quick dinner of fish and chips at the local shop or relax with casual dining at the Boat House opposite the wharf at Patonga. The Boat House is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner during holidays and weekends and provides a great view of the bay.
Feel like a drive? Drive over the hill to Pearl Beach or a little further to Ettalong for fine dining options.

Green Cottage is a gorgeous, original Patonga Cottage beautifully kitted out with all the comforts of home and everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. Cool and breezy in summer (with pedestal fans) and warm and cozy in winter (with child-safe wood burning stove and electric blankets). It is located right on the creek (with road access) and has its own private jetty.

Sit on the wide verandah and watch the pelicans on the jetty, enjoy a paddle up the creek into the pristine national park, hunt for soldier crabs on the sand by the creek, close your eyes and listen to the parrots in the trees, stroll down to the beautiful Patonga beach and float on your back through the river mouth, beach comb on the deserted beach, fish from the jetty, hike along the large number of trails in the area, dine at the popular Boathouse, play cricket in the reserve out front, read a book or play a boardgame, have a barbeque and watch the sun go down over the mangroves...

Green Cottage facilities
The main cottage sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms (1 with queen bed, other with bunk and trundle). It has a renovated bathroom (2014), well equipped modernised kitchen plus dining room and lounge furnished with great retro gems. The cottage is surrounded on 2 sides by a broad, well shaded verandah with couches, chairs, barbeque and outdoor dining table. Please note that the pizza oven visible in the property photographs is not available for guest use.

In addition there is a renovated (2011) sleep-out for 2 additional people (queen bed) plus an outside toilet and basic bathroom/laundry (with shower and bath).

The cottage is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, and smart TV. The cottage has broadband internet and WiFi making it suitable for remote working.

Green Cottage is a paradise both indoors and outdoors for children. It is stocked with children's toys, books and boardgames. The securely fenced garden has a tyre swing. To make the most of the beach location there are kayaks and life jackets (child and adult sizes) available plus boogie boards. Please note that the trampoline shown in the photos is no longer on site.

Sit out on the large deck with a glass of wine or a beer and relax with a good book. Cook a BBQ or turn your hand to creating a pizza masterpiece or two in the well appointed kitchen. The pizza oven on the deck is large enough to cook 3 family sized pizzas at one time. Don't want to cook then The Boathouse Hotel Patonga serves a great meal and is located at the end of the street at 6-8 Patonga Drive. Fish and chips or coffee and cake can also be ordered to take away. Umina shopping village is 15 minutes drive for supplies and includes an Aldi, Coles and Woolworths, good coffee shops and boutiques for your other holiday needs.

Go kayaking or paddle-boarding on the Creek or throw in a line and catch a fish or two. Swim in the clear waters beachside or venture across the Creek to explore the shoreline on the other side. Bring along your own push bikes to ride around the wide streets of this small fishing village of only 220 houses.

There are a number of bush walks but probably the best one is to Pearl Beach through the Brisbane Water National Park. Find the walk at the North end of Patonga Beach. Follow the signs into the national park up and over the hill to the spectacular Warrah lookout with views of the Hawkesbury River and Pacific Ocean. Then walk along the fire trail, following the signs to Pearl Beach. Be sure to keep an eye out for bush turkeys and an ear open for kookaburras. Don’t forget to wear good walking shoes and take plenty of water and a snack.

A well behaved dog is welcome. This means a dog that does not bark uncontrollably when left alone and is completely toilet trained. Your dog is not permitted to sleep on beds or lounges so please remember to take along its bedding.

Patonga is a 90 minute drive north from Sydney. Drive to Patonga or drive to Palm Beach and come into Patonga by ferry. The ferry jetty docks just across from the Boathouse Hotel which is a hive of activity for visitors and pelicans alike. The ferry leaves and returns to Palm Beach at least twice a day.

A limited ferry service operates daily with trips across to Palm Beach. Regular trains operate from Woy Woy station (a 15 minute drive from Patonga) with the centre of Sydney only an hour away.

You will find major supermarkets, petrol stations, cafes, restaurants and other activities within a 10 minute drive to the nearby towns of Umina and Ettalong Beach. The central coast's largest shopping centre, Erina Fair, is also located nearby. Gosford Racecourse and Central Coast Stadium, home to the Central Coast Mariners are also a 20 minute drive away.

Please note that Patonga is a quiet, peaceful fishing village with permanent residents. We value our friendships with our neighbours & therefore our home is not available to rent as a party house.

Boat House overlooks Patonga Creek and provides a delightful location for you and your family or friends to enjoy all that the area has to offer.

The house sleeps 10, although we have a limit of 6 adults, and is ideally suited to a group of friends or two families.

For weekend stays, we give a check-out time of 3pm on the Sunday to allow you to make the most of your weekend. For longer stays, check-out is at 10am.

The quoted price does not include linen and towels. You are welcome to bring your own linen or, if you would like it to be provided, please let us know when booking and the additional charge will be based on the number of beds to be used.
We provide pillows, doonas and additional blankets.

There are 5 bedrooms in total - there are 2 queen bedrooms and a twin upstairs, while downstairs there is one twin bedroom and one with a set of single bunks. Upstairs there is a bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet, and there is also a downstairs toilet.

The well-equipped kitchen looks out over the deck towards the creek. It leads into a dining room with ample room at the table for all guests.

The large living room has windows overlooking the creek and grassy reserve and there is also a small separate sitting/entrance room leading off the dining room.

There is a wood fire stove for heating in the main living room and one reverse cycle air conditioning unit for the entry room/dining area. The two queen bedrooms upstairs have ceiling fans.

A large deck overlooks the creek-side reserve, and a small grassed yard with BBQ. The other side of the house there is a small courtyard which can be a lovely sheltered spot to sit in the cooler months. On one side of the courtyard there is a small building housing a laundry and toilet.

The house is equipped with a variety of books and DVDs, jigsaws and games. There are also 3 kayaks available for the use of guests.

Unfortunately we do not accept pets at this property and parties and functions are not permitted.

Patonga is something of a hidden treasure and Boat House is well situated to allow you to enjoy all there is to offer.

The deck is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy watching activity on the reserve and the creek. You will also see (and hear) a wide variety of bird life.

The creek is a great spot for kayaking, paddle-boarding, and fishing. A short stroll takes you to Patonga beach and its gorgeous outlook over Broken Bay and the mouth of the Hawkesbury River.

Go for a walk along the creek-side track, or join the Great North Walk and climb up to see fabulous views across to Lion Island, Palm Beach and beyond.

Quiet streets for cycling, tennis courts, kids playground - all are available within the village of Patonga.

And on a practical note

Patonga is about an hour and 10 minutes from Sydney's northern suburbs via the M1 motorway from Wahroonga to Gosford.

The Boathouse Hotel Patonga (no relation) sits across from the main beach and is a great place to enjoy a drink or a meal outside overlooking the bay. There is also a kiosk with takeaway food and coffee.

For food shopping, there are supermarkets only 10 minutes' drive away in Umina.

There is a limited ferry service between Palm Beach and Patonga and a likewise limited bus service from Woy Woy. The nearest train is also at Woy Woy which is 20 minutes' drive from Patonga.

Patonga Beach House provides a wonderful escape destination. The house is on the beach, and faces north for all day sun. Immediately behind the house is the lovely Brisbane Waters National Park. The house has fabulous views down Patonga Creek and on the ocean side across to Lion Island and Barrenjoey lighthouse. A large north facing deck overlooks a beautiful swimming beach. Living and bedrooms all have stunning water views.

One of the attractions of the house is that while close to Sydney, the location has a feel of being away from everything. Access to the house is via a short row (about 250 meters) across the Patonga Creek in our dinghy. Water only access means no roads, no traffic and the beach at your doorstep. If your rowing skills are a bit rusty, then we can arrange for our caretaker Hans to met you on arrival and show you the ropes. Just let us know if you need this service when you book.

Once there you can choose from a variety of activities such as swimming, fishing from the supplied dinghy, beach cricket and ball games, kite flying, exploring the creek with the supplied kayaks, mucking around at the mouth of the creek on the surf ski, and enjoying the local bush walks. Or, you can just relax outside on the sheltered, sunny deck with a book or magazine from the house and watch the day go by. The deck looks over the beach, perfect for watching children while they play.

The house comes supplied with TV/DVD and Bose stereo with CD & iPOD compatibility. Linen is provided.

Patonga Village and Brisbane Waters National Park

Patonga is a small fishing village - fabulous for an idyllic getaway. Surrounded on all sides by the beach, the creek and National Park, the village has an untouched atmosphere that is quite unique so close to Sydney. The village has a tavern, a general store and bottle shop, tennis courts, playgrounds and quiet streets for wandering down.

Patonga Beach House has the National Park at its back fence. In fact, the Brisbane Waters National Park surrounds the entire village and there are many beautiful walks you can take. The scenery is magnificent, the bird life is spectacular and koalas can sometimes be seen in the local trees.

This quaint historic building was once the Patonga School House and has also been a general store. We have chosen to nickname the house, POSH (Patonga’s Old School House) because it’s easier to say than the lengthy name.

POSH is an historic building but was sympathetically renovated creating an open, airy, ambient atmosphere inside whilst retaining the quaint, ‘old school’ appearance. POSH is now a comfortable, open plan, casual beach house.
POSH is within a few moments easy level stroll to all amenities that Patonga has to offer which includes the Coffee Shop, Renowned Fish and Chip Shop as well as the Patonga Boathouse Hotel which serves great meals.

Of course there is also the beach, creek and Patonga Wharf across the road from the coffee shop, great to wander out on to the wharf to sip your coffee enjoying the views, the sunshine and waterside activities.

This house has a light and airy ambience. It offers open plan, casual living, a well equipped galley kitchen, with 2 actual bedrooms, a sleeping space as per mud map/house plan and 2 modern bathrooms. The living space opens onto a private courtyard which nestles beneath a stunning cliff highlighted by the spotlights at night.

PLEASE NOTE: One of the rooms at POSH is private, used for storage. The house will sleep four in total, a Double bed, Queen bed. Will sleep five or six as a sofa bed and a portacot is available if required.

Ceiling fans - throughout the house add to the sea breeze in summer and in winter there is a R/C air conditioning to keep the house cosy. Go to sleep to the sound of the waves.

Sleeping Arrangements -There are two actual bedrooms;

Bedroom One (queen size bed).
Sleeping area - Sofa Bed
Bedroom Two (Double bed).
All the beds have electric blankets, bedside lamps as well as ceiling fans and remote controlled lights.

Cot- There is a portable cot, linen, towels, highchair and a potty also available if needed.

Linen - Linen and towels are provided for guests noted on the details form.

Towels – are provided, Beach Towels are not supplied.

Living Areas – there is a living/lounge areas, with a large screen, wall mounted TV and DVD/Multi Media player. A selection of DVD movies is also available as well as some books. The dining table seats 8 persons comfortably, great for a family get together and under the pergola is an area where a quiet moment can be enjoyed with a good book and a cup of tea or coffee.

BBQ- is available on the deck under the pergola.

Tea. Coffee, Sugar, Condiments,Paper towel, Hand soap, Toilet Paper, Wash Powder,
Kitchen Detergent, Dishwasher Tablets, cloths, Fly Spray etc all provided.

Pets – Metal bowls provided.This property is Pet Friendly but only upon negotiation with owners as there are hygiene and cleanliness requirements to adhere to if you wish to bring a pet ie, no animals are permitted in the house, checking the yard for dog waste and disposing of accordingly.

The premises is fully fenced however due to recent heavy storms etc we have ‘decommissioned’ the back yard so that water mitigation works and subsequent landscaping can be undertaken so it is not accessible.

Internet connection is available but will require a password, please request the password.

Purpose of Visit
Patonga is a quiet fishing village, a very special place not very far from Sydney, where a you can relax, do as much as you wish or as little as you wish, cook as much as you like or not at all, go on long walks or short walks or not at all. It is quiet and we’d like to keep it that way by asking that the rights of neighbours and the community is respected.

POSH is a place where families get together, relax, enjoy the ambience, enjoy the beach, watch the stars, watch the birds, watch a movie, take the kids on a walk, to the playground, play a game of hit and giggle at the tennis courts, fish, swim, paddle, sunbake or just let the world rush on by.

We rarely book back to back so that allows us to be flexible with arrival and departure times.

The house is two bedrooms, one sleeping area which is not a seperate room, two bathrooms, sleeping six, a cot and a roll out trundle is (please ask us if required as they are stored) available as well as amenities including bath towels and bed linen.

NB- The total number of guests staying MUST be nominated at the time of booking.

One room has been closed off for maintenance and private use. There will no persons utilising that room during any guest stays.

The house is also walking distance to the Patonga Hotel who offer a courtesy bus as well as other facilities.

Patonga Schoolhouse is NOT available for parties or other occasions that create noise or disturbance to others. Patonga Schoolhouse is therefore NOT available for bucks' weekends, "schoolies week" etc.

Every room was immaculate, clean and fully equipped. There were even sharp knives. working appliances and everything in the kitchen you could want for. Our grandchildren greatly appreciated all the thoughtful touches. Our dog loved the place and the beach. We had a lovely ferry trip to Palm Beach for lunch. The Boat House restaurant was a bit pricing, but justified by the high quality food and service. The kids lovely the park, gentle beach and shell collecting. The Patonga Cottage offers accommodations in Patonga, 28 miles from Memorial Park. With garden views, this accommodation features a terrace. Outdoor seating is also available at the vacation home. The air-conditioned vacation home consists of 4 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a coffee machine, and 1 bathroom with a hot tub and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are offered in the vacation home. There's also a seating area and a fireplace. Dining options are available close to The Patonga Cottage. Getting in and Parking
There are plenty of car parking space at the house frontage including car port/rock area at Bay street (7 cars). Boat can be parked in the car port as it is a big space. Steps from the street leads to the house ,not suitable for people with disability or limited mobility
There are 2 more car parking at house level.
2 cars only can be parking at house level at any time. The access to the house parking is trough an easement, which is a bit steep and suitable best for 4WD and AWD and confident drivers . Parking on an easement or turning point is not allowed. Map will be provided with the arrival information

THE HOUSE

This house offers relaxed and luxurious atmosphere with quality furnishing, beds and linen. The enormous front deck is an outdoor room with comfortable sitting areas and big dining area overlooking the water. It is fully fenced and safe for kid and dogs, perfect for long diners or relaxation.
This 3 level house is perfect for families or friends getting together.
All rooms are designed with fresh beach/Hampton style so even on a rainy day you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere warmed by the fire place, overlooking the ocean.The bathrooms are modern and stylish.
French doors open the main living area to sun-filled courtyards on either side, or an expansive undercover front terrace with panoramic water views. The first floor provides 4 spacious bedrooms; one with king size bed, two with queen size beds and three bathrooms.
The middle floor is where everybody gets together in the large open space living/dining and entertaining deck. On the main level, big fully equiped kitchen and day bed, captures gorgeous afternoon sun. Dining and living area and big undercover entertains deck.

Located in the Brisbane water reserve, Central Coast, next to Pearl Beach, just over an hour drive from Sydney or 20 minutes by ferry from Palm beach its the ultimate destination away from Sydney busy life without the hassle of traveling. In a short distance you will find cafes, restaurants and shops, variety of beaches and national parks. If you are after fishing or kayaking the place is perfect and the fish and chips shop is at you steps too with the best fresh seafood. Kayak, bikes,play-station, games are at the house for your convenience.
Explore the great bush walks in he reserve just a short distance from the house or drive around the ocean roads and enjoy the numerous little towns, shops, beaches and places to eat. Short drive to Umina beach or Kilcare beach for great surfing and just around the corner you will find great caffes and restaurants, play grounds and park in Pearl beach and Umina.
Great for families with kids as the main deck is fully fenced and the beach next to the house is very quite.

Patonga is a small fishing village - fabulous for an idyllic getaway. Surrounded on all sides by the beach, the creek and National Park, the village has an untouched atmosphere that is quite unique so close to Sydney. The Boat house is just across the street, providing a pub, coffee shop and lunch/dinning. There is a tennis courts, playgrounds and quiet streets for wandering down. The Brisbane Waters National Park surrounds the entire village and there are many beautiful walks you can take. The scenery is magnificent, the bird life is spectacular and koalas can sometimes be seen in the local trees.

- "Excellent accomodation with beautiful views of the Hawksbury River. Comfortable bedrooms with views and adequate number of bathrooms. Kitchen was roomy and supplied with all the essentials. Driveway down to the property is very steep and uneven and does require à confident driver as there is not a big turning area at the bottom. Also could be some lighting on the steps down to the street." - "The house was beautiful decorated and had everything you need for a very enjoyable weekend away. Everything you need is there and the view and furnishing make if such a relaxing place to spend a weekend. So much room and it easily accommodated 11 of us. Only issue is stairs into the property might be an issue for some. Driveway a bit steep and better in day light getting up it but if stairs are an issue driving up would help.
