There is so much hiking, boating, fishing, etc nearby it is impossible to list it all. Enjoy the rural setting with gorgeous sunrises/sunsets along with the amazing night sky! All are welcome we can't wait to meet you!

The guest cottage/tiny home are yours to enjoy. Please also feel free to wander around the property which is mostly fenced.

Please note we do live on site and run a small hobby farm. There are chickens, peafowl, honey bees, goats, and dogs on the property along with whatever other animals wander this way. We are not responsible for any accidents involving wandering the yard. This may include tripping, running into a thorn bush or poisonous plant, seeing a cute animal you fall in love with, having a dog run up to you to say hello, finding an egg the chickens have stowed away, being followed by Apollo the peacock, getting a little too close the hive and being stung, etc.

For anyone with a bee or bird fear please let me know ahead of time. I cannot control the bees but they are kept tucked far away from the cottage and beyond possibly seeing one on a flower they are not a bother to guests in any way. The peacock does have a tendency of not respecting personal space and sometimes mistaking shoes/toes for food. He's friendly but not exactly the brightest. If you are not comfortable with him following you around the yard or possibly pecking you out of curiosity give me a heads up and I will keep him tucked away in his pen.

The chickens are free range. If you have such a fear of birds that this bothers you then our cottage may not be the best fit for your stay.

We are open to as much or as little interaction as you prefer. We live on site but come and go frequently. You may see us hanging around or we might be out having an adventure (or just working). Regardless we are always available by phone or email.

Generally speaking we allow self check in and check out. If you would like us to greet you please let me know and I will do my best to make that possible.

Within an hour you can be in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Tellico Plains, Ocoee etc. Within 1.5 hours you can be in the Smoky mountain national park or nearby in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for any tourist activity you can imagine. Sweetwater itself is home to a beautiful downtown! We are minutes away from Watt's bar along with SO many outdoor activities! Just a lovely country setting to relax and recharge.

It was my husband daughter and I as well as my best friend, her husband and their daughter, we all wanted a break from the reality of the hustle and bustle of Florida in a quiet, relaxing, peaceful mountain cabin Best choice. This cabin is one to two hours away from the touristy attractions that all of Tennessee has to offer, but it was tucked away in the mountains with nothing but peacefulness and quietness. We spent our evenings cooking in the kitchen and eating next to the camp fire, the girls loved the hot tub and camp fire at the same time. The driveway is a little steep but it brings you up to your own little piece of mountain paradise. I would most definitely recommend this vacation rental to anyone. It’s got hi speed internet too in case you can’t unplug

Everything was as described on VRBO. The drive is extremely steep. We were pulling a 16' enclosed trailer with a Harley in it and I was worried. But we went up like champs! This cabin is small yet laid out in a completely functional way. The decor was soo cute!! Whirlpool appliances, a nice grill and fire pit outside which we used, and the hot tub. Im assuming the tub is emptied and refilled between each guest but due to hard water there was iron/rust floating a bit. There are window air-conditioners which kept up just fine during our stay. We only turned on the bedroom one at night when we slept. Now let's talk about the master bedroom! For me the king size bed slept FANTASTIC!! It was a little on softer side for my husband but he still slept well. The smoke detector is pretty sensitive. On first day it went off when I was making an english muffin. Just a muffin! We soon figured out that if we took a small fan we found under an end table, put it on the top of dining room hutch and aimed it toward it, no issues. Oh and we kept front door open when I cooked. Thrre is a screen on it. My husband and I, during our week long stay, bought 21 acres of property just 5 miles from this cabin! We definitely would recommend this cabin and will be back over the next few years to stay if able so we can check in on property developments as they occur!! We are located less than a mile from the Lost Sea attraction, and within an hour from beautiful Bald River Falls and Cherohala Skyway Scenic Parkway, with Lots of other waterfalls, hiking trails and scenic views around the area, & the best roads around for motorcycling and so much more. We are 2 hours from Pigeon Forge and Sevierville TN, the home place of our favorite celebrity Dolly Parton!!! Come sit a while & relax and breathe in the Mountain Air!

We were reluctantly relocated to the area due to COVID impacts on the economy, and were dealing with not only the emotional stress of the move but the burden of all the logistics the move entailed. We arrived to find a nice, quiet, well kept, cottage that seemed to bring us peace through all the chaos. Given the uncertainty of our situation with the ability to sell our prior home and find a new one, the property manager, Dawn, has been instrumental in our transition. She has worked with us every step of the way, from offering us extra storage to being flexible with our duration of tenancy, and method of payment. She has also been very helpful with providing local information, and her son and daughter in law that live across the street have also been very kind. I would highly recommend this place not only for the beauty of the property, but because of the people who manage it. All I can say is thank you, we will never forget this."

The first bedroom has a super comfortable king sized hybrid mattress, on a sturdy, supportive bed frame. Extra blankets and pillows are provided.
The second bedroom is outfitted with two twin beds with hybrid mattresses, plus a comfortable trundle with thick memory foam mattress. Extra blankets and pillows are provided for your comfort.

Guests have access to the entire home, with the exception of one locked kitchen cabinet and a locked cabinet in the twin bedroom closet.

There is a Ring security camera doorbell at the front facing entrance. This device can be used in the unusual event of a lock malfunction. Simply ring and it notifies me, whereby I can answer live and help with any difficulties entering.

- "This property was exactly what I was looking for. However it might not suit everyone. It was very clean and recently updated. It is very rural, sits on a large grassed empty lot on the water with a nice dock. There is no washer/dryer, the kitchen is in a separate room but is very well done and stocked, it has an additional separate bathroom in addition to the one bedroom area. The bedroom is small with no hanging closet and a very small dresser. The bathroom is well laid out with a huge shower. The bed was not to my liking. It is a pull out with a foam top that I found super uncomfortable. I felt like I was sleeping on a pile of bread dough. My biggest complaint we’re the cameras. I’ve stayed a multiple rentals and never encountered these before. I never truly felt comfortable or relaxed thinking I was always being watched. I never saw this explained or listed on the property details. If it was an oversight that’s my fault. I understand the need for the security but there has to be a solution. Maybe give the renter the control when and if the cameras are on. It definitely was not something I enjoyed."
