As you can see in the photos, there are a few steps up to the studio that are a bit uneven -- "landscaped" style stairs. For our elderly guests, be advised that there is no railing. The pathway is lit at night.

The studio/office entrance is through the office door, on the right of the back building. Enter the studio from the office.

The lock box will provide you a key to the front door. Please remember to leave the key when you depart at the end of your stay.

The unit was very clean and well appointed in terms of household items for your every need away from home. The closet is a very generous size with plenty of hangers, drawers, suitcase stands etc. The bed is very comfy, kitchen is well stocked. (dishes, pans, glasses- more than enough of everything!) Freeway entrances are close by ( via car) . Very quiet neighborhood. I particularly liked that the unit smelled (and was) very clean, all the bedding, towels etc were not laundered with detergents that carried a harsh or strong smell of any kind. The owners were very response and available. As former Oakland residents on vacation, my husband and I found this rental to be everything we hoped and wanted it to be."

- "Extremely clean and had everything. Only spent time basically sleeping in location but it was fine. Only complaints (if you want to call them that) were the following: 1. Requirement to not wear shoes in place. Seems to be very California like (request to not wear shoes). Little annoying but OK. 2. Bed was a bit on the smaller side. Not sure the size but definitely not king. Room size might have something to do with this. Honestly, we should have looked at bed size before booking if necessary. We were OK with bed size. 3. Nest HVAC was a little confusing. But was cool enough for our stay. On a positive note, the place had a washer and dryer which was awesome. Might want to consider putting a stool to get into top dryer (for someone shorter). The number of towels and sheets was huge. They were great! Very quiet area. Seemed newly renovated and nice place! There are 2 possible sleeping options 2 queen beds. To ensure a good night sleep we use quality Sheets, Blankets and Down Pillows. Both bedrooms have 40” smart TV”S set up with Netflex.

The fully equipped Kitchen is designed for cooks and those who just like to eat. We supply a variety of Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Sweeteners and perhaps a few small treats! - "ALL the comforts of home. Great communications. Lots of great books of all genres to read. Selection of board games. Joanne thought of everything. Fully stocked kitchen, and I mean fully. From dishes to coffee to sugar and creamer and even some spices and oil. Beds & pillows great, shower great. Very spacious and exactly as shown. Outside there are 3 steps to get in. I believe this is a three unit property but we never heard anything through the walls, not even running water, nor did we see anyone (except Joanne). We felt extremely safe-no hesitation whatsoever. Walk to many restaurants 0.9 miles away or less. Would definitely stay again!"
