The staff are excellent and compensated for the state of the building. If you intend staying there in the next year, I'd suggest you find out first of all whether the building works have been completed. A new restaurant is due to open later in the year so all in all, the hotel is in a state of flux. This time we were assigned the ‘Kingfisher’ room which is nice, but the ‘Sparrow’ was much nicer. No problem at all to get my room back for a night. Useful tips: Get a deluxe or family room so you have a kitchen to cook. Not many restaurants in town. My unit had a French press for coffee, ZA has a tea culture, so instant coffee is usually the only option. The bed is super comfortable and the pillow selection good. There's a nice down comforter. Kitchen is well equipped, there's even a cork screw for those of us who love South African wine. There are barbecue grille, they are Weber charcoal grills and you just have to supply your own charcoal. For those from outside South Africa, the tap water is very good, no issues at all. The property is safe and in a very nice area of town. "

The space
The space has an interior African feel to it with African Art deco all round, once you enter, you can feel you are in an extended African lodge in the Township 😂. The house is situated in the quiet area of the township surrounded mostly by professionals.

The host is a very social person but, we always feel our Guests need their personal space.

Breakfast is charged at R90 per person/serving and it is booked before arrival.
