- "gorgeous view and yard. so spacious." - "We are a group of 15 cousins and family members ranging from mid 50’s to low 70’s. We had just spent the weekend together in the city and were looking forward to a couple days where we could just hang out and catch up. This property was the perfect location. We entered the property and the first this week noticed was the spectacular view of the Fox River. As we walked through we were delighted by how immaculate the house was. The kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance and utensil we might need. There is also plenty of room for everyone to hangout as meals are prepared and eaten. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of full bathrooms. The outside areas did not disappoint! The multilevel decks allowed us to be together and to spread out. The fire pit was nice as well. Bring a pole to dish off the dock. The only thing that might have been nice to have would have been some kayaks, but I don’t know if we would have used them. We got a lot of use from the hot tub and had no problems with it. Unlike some rental properties, there were no crazy rules posted around the house. All expectations were provided up front and none were odd or asking too much. Everyone raved about how perfect the utensil was all weekend. I would definitely rebook if the opportunity arises. Limit is 5⭐️ but I’ll give them 10."

The house is minutes away from downtown Yorkville, Raging Waves Waterpark and right next to beautiful Silver Springs park. There are ton of fun activities and places to explore around! The nearby towns offer great restaurants and events.

- "Overall it was a nice place to stay" - "It wasn’t an ideal location for sitting on a deck, being next to the water treatment plant and above a rather trashed shoreline of the river, but it was great for sleeping! The place has new surfaces but the cleaning could have been more thorough. Lots of cobwebs in high corners. The front door leaked during a rainstorm. The beds were very comfortable. I was charged for late checkout despite indicating I would be leaving on time - the charge is still on my account."

They really thought of the smallest details like had extension plugs next to every bedside table, which was so handy at night. We expressed our displeasure with Ernesto and he told us to leave his property and that we would not give us access to go inside. He refused to refund our money even though he denied us access. The pictures on this listing are completely inaccurate. The property was disgusting. There was trash everywhere, rats and other rodents roaming the property. 10 out of 10, I do not recommend!!!"

The photos are heavily edited and don’t reflect the reality—shaky toilets, torn blinds, uncomfortable beds, and a serious bug problem made the stay unpleasant. The stairs are steep and unsafe, and the home is hard to access. The water behind the house is stagnant and only adds to the mosquito issue. Not worth the high price—would not recommend."

- "We were disappointed in this unit. This is a very old building that needs a lot of work. The windows are filthy. The front door mats are bunched up in a pile on the front stoop. The ‘movie themed’ decor was chinsy at best. The parking area is filled with garbage, broken cinder blocks, a tire, and a junked car. There weee old shoes on balcony. The ‘landscaping’ was filled with garbage and debris. The check-in rules and regulations are extensive (requiring expensive insurance or $5,000 cash deposit for a 48 hour stay) - especially for such a janky place. Overall a very low budget old and unkept place. Not a fan. "
