● We strongly recommend that you travel in an AWD/4WD vehicle. We are located in the mountains. Roads tend to be dirt or loose gravel, and they can be very icy or snow covered.

● We are here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. We are only a phone call or message away. You and your party will be able to self-check-in upon arrival.

The rooms are all spacious and beds/sheets were excellent - everyone commented on the comfort of the beds! Only one set of sheets seemed to smell a bit like chlorine. Trash/recycling center at the welcome center was surprisingly easy - just take your trash into the drive-thru, and they will grab it from your trunk. Welcome to our exquisite 3 bedroom lakefront home in the mountains! We call this a home because it’s a place we spend time making memories with family and friends. The benefit to you, our potential guest, is that you will be staying in a well-cared for house that truly feels like a home... not a rental. We rent to responsible couples/adults and families who will treat our home with care. We do not allow events, large parties or prom groups.

Our home is located in a very private setting within the amenity-filled community of Locust Lake Village. It is a true LAKEFRONT – with private dock, private lake access, private beach and gorgeous views from the house and spacious decks.

The upper level features a large, open-concept living space, with living room, dining room and kitchen. Vaulted pine ceilings & propane fireplace give the living area a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Two large leather sofas, combined with a massive dining table with seating for 10, and 5 bar stools in the kitchen, allow ample space for everyone to gather. The living room has a 58” flat screen Smart TV. The fully updated kitchen features granite counters, updated appliances, a wine cooler and a large island. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need! Two oversized sliding glass doors provide gorgeous lake views, and open up to a huge upper deck overlooking the lake. On the deck you'll find two dining tables, chaise lounges and a propane grill for your use.

Also on the upper level is a full bath that is open to the living area and a bedroom with a twin-over-twin bunk bed and full bed. Across the hall is the large master bedroom with king bed. The master bath features updated tile and new vanity & mirror.

The lower level includes a family room with a 46” Smart TV, an electric fireplace & an electronic dartboard. It has pocket doors so it can be closed off from the rest of the house, providing privacy if desired.

Two spacious rooms down the hall have queen beds and sliding glass doors, which provide stunning lake views and open onto the large lower-level deck. This deck has a 6 person HOT TUB – enjoy gorgeous lake views from the hot tub!

There is a bonus room on the lower level with a 2-person sauna, a full bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed. The laundry room is also accessed through this room.

The lower level has a full bath that has been completely renovated.

And, the best part of the property truly is… the lakefront. Step off the lower-level deck into the gorgeous wooded yard, which allows for beautiful lake views, but maintains privacy at the same time. Follow the lighted, level, rock path down to the lake. Sit at the lake’s edge and enjoy total privacy. Relax on your own private beach and dock; swim in the crystal-clear, shallow water or sail away on the kayaks, canoe, row boat or paddle board available for your use. The lake is extremely quiet as it is limited to electric motors only. It has GREAT fishing. Delight in the majestic sight of bald eagles and blue heron flying over the lake. And on top of all this, our home has SUNSET views! End your day by watching spectacular sunsets as they reflect off the lake! After the sun sets, start a fire up in the lakeside FIRE PIT and enjoy the amazing, glass-like lake at night, and the sight of countless stars above.

We are very family friendly. There is a playset on the property with swings, glider and slide, as well as toys and books, a pack & play, and a booster seat with tray. Beach and water toys are provided in the boathouse by the lake.

Our home is located in Locust Lake Village. This community includes 3 lakes with white sandy beaches, lifeguards, snack bar, playgrounds and picnic areas in the summer. Skiing can be enjoyed at our association slope; it has a T-bar operation and skiers can warm themselves in the adjacent Chalet. Ice-skating and ice fishing are available at designated lakes, and there is a designated sledding hill. Other recreational facilities in the community include: basketball, shuffleboard, bocce ball, volleyball, horseshoes, and 4 tennis courts. Theater Room - Guests can connect to their streaming service accounts to view TV or Movies on the 100-inch screen. Theater snacks provided!

Laundry room – Washer and dryer for guest use. There are also a few detergent pods and dryer sheets available.

Main level:
Dining Room - The dining room seats 8. There is a leaf in the great room closet should you want to extend the table further. The bar seats 4 and the screened in patio area can seat 6. A child seat is provided and can be found in the great room closet.
Kitchen – Kitchen is fully stocked. Scan the QR code to look at the welcome binder for all items found in the kitchen. Spices and tea are provided. Shelves are labeled for ease of returning items after use. Small appliances include a coffee maker, a stock pot, a large capacity crock pot, rice cooker, a waffle iron and a toaster. Additionally, there is a blender, a hand mixer and an electric kettle.
Master bedroom – King bed
Great room – Gathering place, blankets, games, fireplace, patio access and additional entrance to the outside.
Screened patio - This area is wonderful to relax in and to play games. Here you will also find an electric heater during the cold months.
Hot Tub – Hot tub is rated for 8 adults. Hot tub towels are located in the laundry room

Fire pit - Wood is provided for the outdoor fire pit. Roast marshmallows or tell amazing stories of the day’s adventures. (Roasting sticks and a fire poker are located in the patio area)

Guest Access:
Please check in with Locust Lake Village office upon arrival. Here you will pick up your 6 free wrist bracelets that will allow you to attend community events to use the amenities such as the beach, basketball court, bocce ball, tennis court, ski hill, tubing hill ect. areas. Children under age 12 are not required to wear these. If you would like any additional bracelets the cost is $9 per day per guest. Do not register guests that will not use the community amenities.
Registration for each car is $5 and you must display a community tag. This tag also allows you to take trash to the compactor.
We want to remind you that the speed limit within our community is 25 mph. This is to ensure the safety of all residents and guests within the area. Please drive responsibly and obey all traffic signs and signals. Any tickets issued by the community will be the guests responsibility.

Minimum age to rent is age 25.

Locust Lake Village is a private residential community situated in the heart of the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. The village is located in Monroe County and is just a short drive away from popular destinations such as Lake Harmony, Jim Thorpe, and Camelback Mountain Resort.

The area is known for its natural beauty, offering visitors and residents year-round recreational activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, boating, and swimming. The community also features amenities such as tennis courts, a beach, a playground, and a clubhouse, making it a great place to vacation or live.

To get to Locust Lake Village, you can take various routes depending on your starting location. If you're coming from New York City, you can take I-80 W to PA-940 W in Kidder Township, then take PA-940 W to Locust Lake Village. If you're coming from Philadelphia, you can take the PA Turnpike Northeast Extension to Exit 95, then take PA-940 W to Locust Lake Village.

Alternatively, you can also fly into Lehigh Valley International Airport, which is approximately an hour and a half drive away from Locust Lake Village. Rental cars and shuttle services are available at the airport to take you to your destination.

We have plenty of parking in our long driveway up to the Chalet. Please use caution in snowy weather as community roads can get slick and ice in the drive way accumulates quickly. A $5 fee per car is required. This parking pass will be used to enter the trash compactor.

You'll enter into the main level climbing 5 stairs thru front door, on this level is a living room with vault ceilings, oversized windows, new AC and heat units, wood burning fireplace, recliner chair and most comforting couch, cozy hang out place to read books or play games, one open bedroom with queen bed, full bathroom, kitchen and dinning room. The kitchen features everything you'd need to cook a gourmet family meal with plenty of counter space. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms and one full bathroom. One having twin-over-full bunk bed and one sofa bed for the kids or singles in your group and the other bedroom has a queen bed.

Each bedroom features thick plush memory foam mattress.

This chalet is only a short walk away from the Island pool, playgrounds, tennis courts, and Recreation Equipment Rental (“Rental Shack”).

To maintain the beauty, safety, and security of the community, ALL renters and visitors of age 6 and up are required to be registered and pay community fees BEFORE the check-in date to have access to any ALCA facility, amenity and events. We cover most of the community fees for your stay, please read below for details:

1. Registration fee is $35 which we INCLUDE if your booking is processed at least 3 days before check-in.
LATE Registration fee (per community requirement): $75 NOT INCLUDED - if your booking is processed within 3 days before check-in.

2. Vehicle gate pass: Reservation INCLUDES ONE FREE vehicle gate pass.
For 3 nights+ stay, you will get up to 2 free vehicle gate passes.
For long stay (4 nights+), you will get up to 3 free vehicle gate passes.

- There are 2 lakes and 4 beaches available, (swimming is at your own risk). Each beach is equipped with a playground, picnic tables, charcoal grills, boating/fishing docks, and roped-off swimming areas.
- Three outdoor heated pools (Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting).
- The Lodge is the focal point for a long list of events throughout the year including live music, cookouts, karaoke, movies, educational programs, numerous activities, fitness center, adult billiards room and library, etc.
- A "Family Game Room" is available at the Welcome Center Lower Level and features ping pong, air hockey, pool tables and kids games.

This cozy cabin is the perfect setting for a weekend getaway, a family vacation week or a holiday celebration with family and friends. Our air-conditioned 3 bedroom, 2 bath Pet-Friendly Home offers so much more than your typical hotel stay. The Happy Hideaway is your home away from home! So leave your hectic daily grind behind and come enjoy the quiet tranquility of our home in the private community of Locust Lake Village.

You enter our home through the screened porch. This porch is a perfect place to relax, spend some quiet time and appreciate the beautiful wooded setting. An electric fireplace and fairy lights add character to the porch.
Stepping inside you find an open concept first floor that includes a kitchen, dining area, living area, Master Bedroom and full bathroom. A coffee bar is set up to greet you after the trip to the Poconos. The fully stocked kitchen includes electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and many small appliances. We’ve got everything you need to cook and serve a great meal.
The dining area has a traditional wood table and chairs set for six, but it can be expanded using a leaf stored in the washer/dryer closet off the kitchen. Sliding doors off the dining area open onto the deck which has a gas grill with Propane tanks which we supply.
The living room has a vaulted ceiling with two brand new skylights, and this gives an open view of the second floor. Living room seating including a sofa, loveseat and two recliners and allows for a fun movie night or board game play. An antique style popcorn machine stands in the living room for a perfect snack during movies and games!! The flat-screen tv is mounted above the wood-burning stove. All televisions in our home are outfitted with Roku Systems. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
Completing the first floor are a cozy Queen Size bedroom and a full bath with stall shower.
Up the stairs to the second floor and you step into the loft area which is set up as a den/game room. A Wii System with games (both adult and child friendly) are provided along with a Roku enabled TV. Also, a bookshelf is filled with a variety of books and board games.
Upstairs we also have two additional bedrooms each with two double beds. A full bath with tub/shower combo completes the second floor.
For your enjoyment we have a fire pit with Adirondack Chair seating and fairy lights surrounding the area. Two kayaks are available for use within the village only. We also have bicycles, a variety of outdoor game equipment, and a gas golf cart (upon request-extra charges apply).
Locust Lake Village offers three main lakes, swimming areas, beaches, two separate designated areas for dogs to swim, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball nets, horseshoe pits, turkey trot golf, playgrounds, picnic and cooking areas by the lakes, and two of the lakes are stocked for fishing. The Chalet hosts events which in the past have included; BBQs, Trivia Games, Paint and Sip Evenings and a Chili Cook-off. Guests are invited to take part in these events-so make sure to check the calendar for details!
We are approximately a 15 minute drive to two great ski areas; Jack Frost and Big Boulder. Drive 15 minutes from the house and go to Kalahari Resort. Kalahari provides entertainment all year round for adults and kids with their indoor waterpark, 7-D movie theater, virtual reality action game, spa and much more. Drive approximately 30 minutes and you will find Camelback Resorts, the Crossings Shopping Outlets, Pocono Raceway, a casino and the town of Jim Thorpe for a old fashion train ride and strolling through quaint streets with many shops and restaurants. In our area there are Wineries, Breweries, and national hiking trails for you to soak in nature.

- "We only. Live about an hour away, but this was a nice getaway. No too far and not stress coming home with the short drive. Jim was very responsive. House was clean and had everything that was listed. It's not too far from activities like camelback/each and other water parks. Skytop adventures is not too far. The whole area is not really walking friendly, so had to drive to Beach 2 event if it was only about a 10 mins walk. We went to Beach 2, had some food from the mediterranean food truck, everyone enjoyed the paddle board. We tried to rent kayaks, but it turns out I think you have to go to the "island" to rent those. That is about a 10-15 mins drive. We went to the lodge to watch the fireworks for the 4th celebration. Overall it was a good stay and everyone had a great time."

THE HOME
Our spacious home provides ample common areas to accommodate large groups coupled with plenty of space for privacy.
It is a perfect space for families or an adults only getaway. The expansive interior (over 2,300 square feet) is stylishly furnished to comfortably host up to 12 guests.

LIVING ROOM
The vast great room boasts soaring cathedral ceilings and a double side, adobe style fireplace. The room has a large smart TV with 200+ cable channels, TiVo and internet access to connect to your favorite streaming apps. The large sectional, second full size sofa and loads of additional chairs provide comfortable seating for groups of any size.

The great room is perfect for enjoying your favorite movie, relaxing by the fire, playing board games (check under the TV!) and more. Need more space? Retreat to the loft to enjoy brilliant lake views while reading a book or watch your favorite movie on the second TV.

KITCHEN
The newly remodeled kitchen is stocked with essentials for enjoying a home cooked meal with your family and friends. The kitchen opens up to the dining room which boasts cathedral ceilings, a large dining table and a second fireplace. Enjoy a cozy dinner by the fire with a view of the sunset over the lake.

BEDROOMS
Each of the bedrooms is equipped with fresh linens and both bath and pool towels are provided for each guest. The primary suite is situated at the far end of the great room downstairs and includes a king size bed, a large bathroom with jacuzzi tub as well as french doors that lead directly to the deck. The upstairs suite includes a king size and twin bed along with a full en suite bathroom. Off the kitchen are the remaining two bedrooms and the third full bathroom. Each bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer, dispensers for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, and paper products.

LAUNDRY
A front Loading Washer/Dryer is available for use, so you can pack lighter and keep all your clothes clean. For those traveling with little ones, two pack and plays are located in the closet of the master suite.

The private swimming pool is opened at the end of May and closed at the end of September weather permitting. A signed pool waiver is required for all rentals.

If you wish to have the pool heated during your stay, please let us know. There is a $75/day heating fee. We will help you set it up.

COMMUNITY
Our home is part of the Arrowhead Lake Association which requires that all rentals are registered. There is a $20 per vehicle after the 3rd vehicle.

PETS
We allow up to 3 dogs of 50lb each, for $75 per pet per stay.
At the moment of booking, if you add you bring pets, Airbnb will add the first charge to the booking total, and we will request any additional ones.
If you want to bring more than 3 dogs or any over 50lb, please send us an inquiry, and we will approve on a case-to-case basis, at $150 per pet.

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: GUEST must accurately disclose occupancy including the number of adults, children and animals that will occupy said rented premises in the booking data provided through the online platform. That determines the maximum occupancy at all times and applies to day visitors and children as well. Unless otherwise approved by your HOST, occupancy over the indicated capacity may result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of amounts paid.
2. NO SMOKING or Vaping or illegal drugs of any kind will take place in or on the premises. Violation of this will result in a $500 charge. Vaping or smoking outside with windows and doors closed is accepted. GUEST is liable for the full cost to remove any odor from the home in the case that it exceeds the above charge.
3. NO ANIMALS of any description will be kept in or on premises without prior approval by HOST. * Animal Addendum is required with this contract for approval of pets, emotional support or service animals.

- For added security and peace of mind, we have installed two security cameras on the premises—one in the front and one in the back of the house. These cameras are positioned solely for security purposes and are not placed in private areas or inside the house; they are only in common areas. Please rest assured that the cameras are intended to safeguard the property when it is unoccupied and are not intended to monitor our guests' activities during their stay. Your privacy and comfort are of the utmost importance to us.

You can enter our home securely via a keypad, eliminating concerns about flight or travel delays, or arriving later than expected for check-in. However, please keep us informed of any changes to your arrival time. You and your guests will enjoy full access to the entire house, with the exception of locked areas such as the owner’s pantry and storage room on the first loor, the owner’s closet in the Master bedroom and attic.

- Please provide us with all car and guests information at least 5 days prior to the rental date. We will be sending you a registration link after the booking. Kindly note that no refunds will be issued for registrations submitted after the deadline. A late registration fee of $100 will be incurred for registrations made less than three days before the scheduled arrival date, as mandated by the community. Please be aware that same-day registrations are not permitted (cut-off time is 11:59 PM the day before arrival).

- For stays exceeding 28 days, you'll need to complete a lease agreement and provide a copy of an ID. Only individuals listed on the lease agreement and community forms are permitted at the property.

- Details regarding registration forms and lease agreements will be sent to you within 24 hours of providing your email address.

- Please be aware: A guest pass is required for entry into the gated community. The rental center will issue the guest pass, equipped with a QR code granting access to all community amenities, once all drivers provide valid, unexpired driver's licenses and vehicle registrations.

- To access any public amenities, guests must present QR codes obtained upon registration at the rental office located at 906 Route 940, Suite #101, Pocono Lake, PA 18347.

Fireworks are strictly prohibited within the Arrowhead Lake Community, and a zero-tolerance policy is enforced. Guests found violating this rule will be subject to a $500 fine.

- "We recently returned from a 3 day weekend, and all I can say is wow! I thought maybe the pictures online were too good to be true- but the house was even better! We had a group of 13 people ages 1 to 75 and the house was perfect for all of them. The hosts thought of everything- welcome baskets with snacks and things you may have forgotten, towel warmers, toys for little ones, a fully stocked coffee station, baby gates and more. The family loved the large dining room table where we could all eat together. The movie theater and game room were huge hits. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. I corresponded with Barbara and she was polite, helpful, and very responsive. The community was wonderful- several pools, playgrounds, and lake beaches within 10 minutes. I cannot recommend this house enough!"

Temporary Membership Fee is a mandatory fee that is assessed to all rentals for occupants age 6 and up. This covers usage of all the amenities, pools, (3), beach, lake, clubhouse, tennis courts, gym, game room, etc. CHILDREN UNDER 6 ARE FREE.

TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIP: $6 per person per day - daily fee

VEHICLE GATE/ ACCESS CARD: $20 per vehicle - 1 time fee
