Unlike other lake fronts which place you up hills and long walking distances to the lake, we are Right On the lake....you will wake up and look out your windows to a beautiful close-up view of the lake. The door is literally steps to the dock and not down steep hills either! Unlike being on the 'big' lake (Wallenpaupack) which allows powerboats and jet skis, our lake is a non-power boating lake which means No waking up to noisy boat motors and the ZZZZ of jet skis!!

Renter Requirements: Renters must be 30 years of age or older and we will require photocopies of drivers licenses to ensure compliance with this rule. Families with children are the only exceptions to this rule. There is NO smoking in the house. NO CATS are allowed, EVER.

Community: For summer renters, there are two outdoor pools....There is a nice lodge at the nearby pool which offers games for kids & teens. There are tennis / pickle ball courts at this pool area which must be reserved in advance at the main office. There is also an indoor pool which is about 5 minutes drive and there is schedule of times that it is open. All community amenities require badges which we will provide to renters. Fishing: there is ample opportunity to do so and the fishing is great in all three lakes (Lake Wallenpaupack is the BIG lake, and the two smaller lakes in our community are called Deer Lake & Beaver Lake, which are both NON-power-boating lakes). If you wish to fish, you MUST get fishing licenses to do so (adults). It is a simple process and it is very inexpensive, but it could cost a lot of money if you fail to have one and get caught fishing without it! - "This is a lovely, large house right on the water. Plenty of space and a well-equipped kitchen. Our family of six enjoyed the gorgeous view, the peace and quiet, and the sounds of birds. We even saw a heron! The five-year-old had a wonderful first experience fishing.The only downside is that you can't swim in front of the house because the water is shallow and muddy. The nearby beach is nice, but you have to walk there with all your stuff (towels, chairs, etc.)."

Baby/facial wipes and feminine products will clog the drain and cause a huge mess -- please don’t flush.Use only single ply toilet paper (like scott 1000).If the power goes out: DO NOT RUN ANY WATER UNTIL THE ELECTRIC COMES BACK ON. The septic system runs on electricity and will back up into the house if water is used during this time. If you hear the alarm downstairs, immediately stop using any water (sinks, toilets, showers, etc...) and contact us immediately.

- "Everything was great during our stay at ThreeLittleBirds! It was so nice to get up in the morning and walk a few steps to the lake, jump in the kayaks and have a nice morning paddle. The lake was quiet since no motorboats are allowed but it was perfect for us. The house itself is very nicely appointed including a hot tub and fire pit for S'Mores. Shawn was very responsive with any questions we had. I have no complaints at all!" - "The location is great. The house is located in a neighborhood with lots of great amenities like the pool, game room, and large field for playing family games. It was also great that we did not feel like we were in a neighborhood when sitting on the quiet back deck. Although not huge, the house felt like there was plenty of room to spread out and the larger kitchen was a big plus for us! The only downfall was the gaming system in the basement wasn’t working properly, which we mentioned to Shawn and he was going to tend to that. We also listened to chainsaws and wood chippers from across the lake for a few days, but no one could have predicted that. Plenty of hiking and biking nearby and quiet streets to walk on around the lake. Definitely a place we’d like to return to."

Our lakefront home is custom-built, light-drenched, and focuses on quality materials and high-end finishes. The home offers an open floor plan and 3 separate floors. The Main Floor includes an open kitchen with Viking gas stove/oven (plus a second oven), heated radiant floors, 75-inch 4K Smart TV, in-ceiling SONOS connected speakers, large windows overlooking the lake, and wrap-around deck. The basement includes a pool table, 1992 Vintage SKEE-BALL machine, 85-inch 4K Smart TV, SONOS surround sound, and wet bar with a 2nd fridge & mini fridge.

We aim to provide an impeccably functioning home that is superbly clean and well amenitized with everything you should need to unwind and relax. ULTIMATE COMFORT

Edgewater Escape has central A/C, radiant flooring in the kitchen and Master Bathroom, and central Heat with several separate temperature zones throughout the house. Wake up feeling well-rested in one of our king/queen beds which all have high-end mattresses and microfiber sheets. We are fastidiously clean and neat and so is the house.

LAKEFRONT

The house has 150 feet of private lake frontage. A 3-boat dock is all yours to use during your stay. The house is situated in Martin's Cove - the largest Cove on the lake! PLEASE NOTE: You must cross a road to get from the house to the lake. The lake is also 100-200 feet of elevation below the house, therefore there are many (~50 "stairs") needed to get to the lake.

Currently, the lakefront has 2, 2-person kayaks, 1, 1-person kayak, and two small boats.

HOT TUB

The Escape is equipped with a large, 7-person 120-jet hot tub. The hot tub is drained and refilled every week to ensure a sanitary condition for all of our guests.

The Escape is a high-end home and meticulously maintained. We are geared towards families that make it a point to care for the homes they vacation in.

ALL INCLUSIVE - LINENS

We provide hotel-quality towels, sheets, pillows and basic necessities at no additional charge. We aim to keep a lightly stocked kitchen with Keurig pods, coffee, salt/pepper, and a handful of different seasonings. Pack n Play plus high chair at the house for traveling families!

Enjoy our free 1992 Vintage skee-ball machine – the same model you’ve played at the Arcade!

Please note there are neighbors around the house and sound travels far. We are trying to create a serene getaway for our guests as well as be respectful to our neighbors. So we ask that outside noise be kept to reasonable levels. To ensure this environment we have outdoor noise monitors.

Well behaved dogs allowed on a case-by-case basis for an additional $75 per pet fee. AirBnb only collects pet fees for the first pet, additional approved dogs will be an additional $75/pet charged post booking.

- "Very nice place, lots to do, Norbert is very supportive and responsive" - "Owner was very friendly and accommodating. Only comment would be the beautiful accessories in the house needed to be moved as they weren’t in child friendly places." - "Beautiful home and very well equipped with everything you may need. We had an issue with heat in one of the bedrooms but Norbert was able to resolve it. We were disappointed that the indoor pool at the community center next door was closed for maintenance during our stay but I guess they have to do it sometime. We did enjoy the hot tub and the fire pit."

Welcome to our family Lakehouse! The home has everything you need for a family get away at Lake Wallenpaupack. Lakeview from the porch, hot tub, two fire pits, and short walk to swim and lake access. The house has 4 beds and 4 baths. The master is on the main floor off the kitchen and has a queen bed and lovely bathroom attached. There are two bedrooms upstairs with bunks - each bunk has a full bed on bottom and a twin on the top and one of the rooms has an extra twin. There is a queen bedroom on the bottom floor as well as a full size pull out couch in the main area of the bottom floor. The kitchen is stunning with a very large island for gathering. The deck has clear lakeviews enhanced by clear plexiglass see through railings as well as drop down tarps for a 4 season outdoor area. The jewel of the property is the patio area complete with a decked in 6-8 person hot tub as well as a wood burning firepit and a gas one as well. The home is ring monitored along with wifi controlled entry. There is ample parking for 4-5 cars or space if someone wants to trailer a boat to the lake. The home has A/C and propane heating in addition to some electric baseboard heating for additional comfort. The home sites in Capri Estates part of the Capri Marina which is a short walk down the road. Also only about 200ft from the home is the lake access and community dock for swimming and duck feeding. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby in Hawley and Honesdale including the fantastic Wallenpaupack Brewery. Big Bear at Masthope only 20min away and Montage Mountain only about 30-40min drive. You will love this home year round as much as we do and we hope to see you enjoy it with your family!

Disclosure: There are two exterior cameras for security - one in the driveway facing the street and another under the deck facing the back entry door. The hot tub is in the coverage area of the back entry camera and should be noticeable.

Towels and Linens: Towels, hand towels, wash clothes as well as linens and blankets provided for main beds. Extra linens for blow up beds or pull out couch need to be provided by renters or requested for additional charge. Hot tub/lake towels are not provided and bath towels cannot be used outside the home.

- "It was a bad week to go to the lake overall, but this house came through. The house was very clean and had nice clean linens (not old ones like many renters typically do). The house is about 10 mins from Claws n Paws, which had a wide array of interesting animals and reptiles. There are multiple options for boat rentals nearby as well. Any issues that were brought up in previous reviews could be overcome with the responsiveness of the owner."
