Beautiful lakefront chalet-style vacation home with spectacular views, fireplace and indoor personal jacuzzi within a community with two outdoor pools and one indoor pool; it is located in the Wallenpaupack Lake area in beautiful Lake Ariel, PA which is about 2 hours from New York City. Unlike other lake fronts which place you up hills and long walking distances to the lake, we are Right On the lake....you will wake up and look out your windows to a beautiful close-up view of the lake. The door is literally steps to the dock and not down steep hills either! Unlike being on the 'big' lake (Wallenpaupack) which allows powerboats and jet skis, our lake is a non-power boating lake which means No waking up to noisy boat motors and the ZZZZ of jet skis!!

Renter Requirements: Renters must be 30 years of age or older and we will require photocopies of drivers licenses to ensure compliance with this rule. Families with children are the only exceptions to this rule. There is NO smoking in the house. NO CATS are allowed, EVER.

Community: For summer renters, there are two outdoor pools....There is a nice lodge at the nearby pool which offers games for kids & teens. There are tennis / pickle ball courts at this pool area which must be reserved in advance at the main office. There is also an indoor pool which is about 5 minutes drive and there is schedule of times that it is open. All community amenities require badges which we will provide to renters. Fishing: there is ample opportunity to do so and the fishing is great in all three lakes (Lake Wallenpaupack is the BIG lake, and the two smaller lakes in our community are called Deer Lake & Beaver Lake, which are both NON-power-boating lakes). If you wish to fish, you MUST get fishing licenses to do so (adults). It is a simple process and it is very inexpensive, but it could cost a lot of money if you fail to have one and get caught fishing without it! Please contact owner for website where you can purchase your fishing license.

- "This is a lovely, large house right on the water. Plenty of space and a well-equipped kitchen. Our family of six enjoyed the gorgeous view, the peace and quiet, and the sounds of birds. We even saw a heron! The five-year-old had a wonderful first experience fishing.The only downside is that you can't swim in front of the house because the water is shallow and muddy. The nearby beach is nice, but you have to walk there with all your stuff (towels, chairs, etc.)."

Our Mountain Chalet is the perfect place for you to relax with your family and enjoy making memories at the lake. Fill your days with fun-in-the-sun activities like fishing, tubing, swimming, boating, jet skiing and just plain relaxing! Spend the day on the lake then come home to BBQ on the large lake view deck. Or just keep swimming and drop anchor at one of the many lakeside restaurants. There's always room to park at their docks!

THE SPACE
This beautiful lakeside chalet has a 3rd floor loft area with two queen size beds and a fully remodeled bathroom. The main floor holds two bedrooms, one with a queen, one with 2 sets of bunk beds. You'll also find an open living room, dining room, and newly remodeled kitchen with lakeview sight lines throughout, and another bathroom as well. This spacious room allows wonderful views of the lake everywhere you look! Lake Wallenpaupack's signature sunrises will never fail to take your breath away!

Our lower level has another bedroom with 2 single beds and a queen, a bathroom, laundry room, bar area, and great room with enough sectional seating for the whole group. Can't forget the game room! Put your table tennis skills to the test on our ping-pong table!

Outside the home you'll discover a spacious deck overlooking the sparkling lake. What beach day would be complete without a BBQ or a fire pit for roasting the perfect s'mores? You'll find it all here waiting for you in this rustic chalet! Through the lower level's outdoor access, you'll find a comfy hammock for ultimate relaxation or sit in the hot tub while watching the sun rise. Trekking to the lake is an easy few steps down our stone walkway leading straight to the edge of Wallenpaupack's lapping shoreline.

PARKING is available for up to 6 cars including boat trailers.

5 DAY GUESTS are allowed and strictly enforced. This will make a total of 15 guests during the day (if you have 10 guests staying overnight). All guests including day guests will need to be listed on the Reservation Form when completed.

Guests have access to the whole house. Locked closets/areas are as follows: linen closet in main floor bathroom, one closet in loft bedroom and one closet on the lower level.

Spring – Lake levels will be high. The docks do not start getting installed until late April. We do not GUARANTEE any dock in the water before Memorial Day.
Summer – High Water Mark is June 1st. Depending on the weather, the lake levels may come up higher than that making the docks hard to access as their walkways will be underwater. We do our best to make sure they are accessible, but we cannot always get to them on demand.
Fall – Water levels will be lowest, and docks will start to be removed from the lake until the spring. Boats can still be docked, water levels at the end of the docks are still acceptable for boat docking.
Winter – Lake usually freezes, and ice fishing is popular. Any access to the frozen lake is “at your own risk”.

If you prefer a sandy beach with swim area and lifeguards, the Palmyra Township Public Beach is a sandy beach. You do have to pay for entry.
- is located on the northeast section of the lake and is home to numerous picnic spaces and pretty waterfront views, and it’s the perfect family-friendly destination. Beachgoers can swim in this lake’s tranquil waters from the park’s access points while enjoying the sun on its sandy shores. Lifeguards on duty, snack bar, volleyball, picnic tables, charcoal grills, and bathroom/changing facilities.

ABOUT THE SPACE
Welcome to our lakefront home on Lake Wallenpaupack. Our unique layout lets you look out onto the lake from almost every area of the house. Our grand entrance allows you to see down into the living area as well as right out to the lake. Stay cool all summer with new Central AC on both levels.

THE SPACE
There are three bedrooms on the entry level with a full bath that have two twins in two of the rooms and a king bed in the master which looks out over the lake with it's own balcony. Down the steps to the main level you enter the living room and a fully equipped kitchen and one more bedroom with a queen and bathroom with shower. The 2nd living room doubles as extra sleeping space and has a pull-out couch also overlooking the deck to the water below.
The 2nd living room has a large flatscreen smart TV with streaming options and cable. The other living room has a smaller TV with cable and there is a Game Box for more entertainment in one of the upstairs twin bedrooms.
The ultimate blockbuster feature of this property is the expansive decks that surround two sides of the house and overlook the lake and is canopied by trees. The propane BBQ grill also sits on the deck along with table and chairs for dining. Other seating is available on different parts of the deck and can be moved for the best view you can have. A small firepit is located on a small deck midway down to the lakefront. At the lakefront we have a large dock that can accommodate up to two boats and/or jet ski's. We have two stand up paddle boards for your enjoyment. as well.

Our home is a short walk to the water in a beautiful lake community. There are nature walks and a lake view from our home. We have our own dock to use. The house comfortably sleeps10 and there is plenty of room for your things. Kitchen opens to the living room which has a wood burning stove. There is also a fire pit out in the front where our kids love to sit at night and eat their home made smores. The home has a/c in the 3 bedrooms and living room, ceiling fans in all rooms. This is a wonderful home for a wonderful family vacation. Our home has WIFI where the kids can use their electronic devices and use can get a little work in away from the office. There are great places to eat, Kundla's Barbeque in Hamlin open Fri- Sun 11am to 8 pm. The Boat House in Hawley, Erhardt's Waterfront Inn, both these restaurants are accessible by car or boat. The Boat House offers entertainment every Fri. night @ 10 pm. There is also Settler's Inn which is a place for a very nice dinner. Settler's Inn is a fantastic restaurant to us best in the area. The property is lovely and well-appointed with everything you would need for a weekend at the lake. As we were occupied most of the weekend with family things at a different part of the lake - we didn't use a lot of the amenities, but I was sorry that we didn't get a chance to, because the lake and pools looked great, and there is a ton to do around the property. The house itself is really nice, comfortable (especially the couches in the living room) and has a bunch of fun things for kids on the bottom floor. It is quiet, yet close enough to several nice restaurants and breakfast places if you want to go out for a bite. The host was super helpful and accommodating and responded right away to all of my inquiries. We will (hopefully) continue to stay here every year as we really like this property."
