- "Welcoming, beautifully decorated, clean home near lots of activities." - "House was perfect home base for our family (2 parents, 2 grandparents, 2 kids ages 8 &12). Plenty of room for everyone and located with easy access to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and quietside of MDI. We had bikes with us and were very comfortable leaving them outside of the house. Home itself is in very good conditon, adorably decorated, private, well stocked, and was very well cleaned in advance of our stay. Plenty of towels, toiletries, and paper goods which were very much appreciated. Internet kept up with 6+ devices on our rainy day. For the home cooks: We generally choose to cook and grill a lot when traveling. We opted not to use the onsite grill in this case. It did work, but is on the smaller side and has only 2 burners. We also travel with a nonstick pan, chef's knife, and silicone spatula.... we were happy to have brought all of these with us. Finally, we did opt to purchase a few bags of ice to have on hand."

Beautifully decorated and comfortable as well. We only used one bedroom during this stay and were grateful for a firm mattress. They have thought of everything in their amenities; fully equipped kitchen, binoculars, outdoor seat cushions, market umbrellas, Adirondack chairs, lawn chairs, a picnic table and grill and even a luggage rack (so grateful!) Their welcome/info binder was literally the most up-to-date, detailed one that I’ve seen and filled with recommendations and a sprinkling of delightful humor. The kitchen is cozy yet efficient and we cooked most every night using the gas stovetop and outdoor grill. A private beach is directly in front of the chalet. By coastal Maine standards, it is wonderfully accessible in terms launching kayaks (which we didn’t bring this trip, but you can rent.) A midweek storm left us without power for only a couple hours and we didn’t even realize it (until Lewis popped over to check on us) because of their backup battery and generator systems. They even shared their garden onions and lettuce with us! Highly recommend!"

The lower level has the room with bunk beds (twin and full mattress), love seat and four tall windows that provide for a great view of the lake. Heat/cooling pumps on main floor and lower level keep the house comfortable in cold and hot weather. The home is modernized with free WiFi, two new 4K smart TV’s and roku devices to enable you to login to your streaming subscriptions. For your safety and security, we have an electronic keypad for entry and front door camera. If you desire to explore more of Maine, we are a relatively short drive to some GREAT coastal towns: 16 miles to Belfast, 20 miles to Camden/Rockport, 73 to Acadia National Park & 79 miles to Portland. PLEASE NOTE: there are roughly 20 gradual steps to get from the parking area down to the house. From the house to the lake there are stairs down from the deck and then a very gradual walk across the lawn to the lake.

Spruce is a comfy and cozy chalet perched on a bluff overlooking Frenchman Bay. Steps take you to 650 feet of private shore front. It has large picture windows facing the bay and sliders to the deck. With two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other had one twin and two bunks. It sleeps 5 and it has a fold out futon, as well. It has an open concept living/dining/kitchen area, two private bedrooms, and one bath with a shower, but no tub. There is also an outdoor shower. 934 sq ft

- "Loved the cabin - it was perfect for our family. We were happy to be out of town and on the water, beds were comfy and the cabin clean. Had enough pots and pans, utensils to cook meals." - "This was the first time we visited Maine, and Maine did not disappoint. Spruce met all our needs and Peter was the perfect host. He was quick to answer all my questions/ texts as well as fix the outside deck light. The house had everything we needed to make our own meals and hang out at night playing cards. Also having a house on the beach was a great way to spend time fishing or walking or just sitting Spruce is in the perfect location to Bar Harbor, Acadia, National Park, as well as the surrounding areas. We loved our dinners from Mainely barbecue, as well as Sweet Peas. C-Rays lobster was the best around. I highly recommend Spruce to anybody visiting the Bar Harbor area and wanting to wake up every morning to hear the ocean waves on the beach. - "We thoroughly our stay. The house is a short drive to the smaller part of the national park. We hiked, biked, fished and kayaked and enjoyed seeing some of the nearby small towns. The house is about an hour from Bar Harbor and we went to the larger section of the park one day. That said, by staying at the house, we avoided the crush of tourists and traffic. One night we had family Olympics with foosball, darts, PacMan and other games in the house. The kitchen was well supplied and the house was big enough that when we wanted alone time, people could choose their spots in the house, on the deck or by the water."

Rocky Haven is a charming private cottage situated among evergreens just 100 feet from the Toddy Pond shore with 242 feet of frontage. It’s just 7/10 of a mile off Acadia Highway heading to Bar Harbor. We are 30 miles from Acadia national Park (31 miles from Bar Harbor), 8 miles from Bucksport,16 miles to Blue Hill, 19 miles from Castine,28 miles to Belfast, and 27 miles to Bangor (International Airport). So we are strategically located for youto discover the wonders of the Maine coast.

Enjoy cooking fresh Maine lobster and blueberry pie in a full kitchen, or grill steaks in the open air on a gas grill. Guests for our 3Havens cottages all share access to the dock and swim platform. We recommend that guests use water shoes while wading in the lake. Each unit has its own fire pit area and free use of 2 kayaks and a canoe, (a waiver of liability must be signed for usage). We provide approved life-preservers in the bin by the kayaks. Wood for the fire pits may be purchased at Hannaford Supermarket or various roadside stands. Prices run from $5-7 per bundle.

We like to leave our guests to themselves but try to be available when needed. However, should you need us for anything, we live in the upper condo over Toddy Haven.

Our other 2 vacation rentals are Toddy Haven, a brand new first floor condo with a full kitchen, 1 full bath, sleeping up to 5; and Cozy Haven, a private cottage with 1 1/2 baths, and a full kitchen, sleeps up to 7. They enjoy a shared new laundry facility with 2 washers and 2 dryers (Rocky has it own laundry facility).You can find each of them on our website, www.3Havens.com.

Each of our Cottages come with additional essentials and amenities that may not be listed in certain platforms. Some of these are:

We knew the place was going to be nice, but we weren't prepared for how amazing everything was. The view was beautiful, the house is phenomenal! So many little details made everything so special. Mark was so helpful and full of knowledge, and we couldn't stop talking about his amazing craftsmanship building the cabins himself! Plenty of room for all 4 adults and 2 kids, too! The amenities were perfect, plenty of pots and pans and all the things we needed to have the perfect stay. We took the kayaks out which was a blast and I'm so grateful for them being available to guests. There was even toys for the littlest kid in the cabin and by the lake, which he really loved. The fire pit was cozy and made for the best evening we had our whole trip! So much laughter and memories made, we all agreed we hoped it becomes a tradition to visit Rock Haven!"

The spacious 852-square-foot wrap-around deck features a dining area for six, complete with a Blackstone grill, pizza oven, and propane grill (propane provided).
It’s a wonderful spot to enjoy al fresco meals under the stars while gazing at the Big and Little Dipper.
A bistro table for two offers scenic views of the pasture, while a nearby swing set and sandbox keep little ones entertained.

For those who love to explore, our dirt road is perfect for peaceful walks or bike rides. Just a half-mile down, you’ll find a protected brook where you can fish or catch frogs. Along the way, you might encounter neighbors walking their dogs and exchanging friendly hellos.

Seasonally, guests can enjoy our vegetable garden and treat it as their own during their stay.

Our free-range hens and mini donkey roam the property, adding charm and life, while our draft horses graze peacefully in the pasture.

While this is a working farm, it’s also our sanctuary. Guests must respect our animals and safety rules:

You may occasionally see the farm owners or our friendly farmhands tending to the horses or maintaining the property. Rest assured, we respect your privacy and are here to ensure you enjoy the retreat on your own terms. We’re always happy to answer questions or assist if needed, but otherwise, we’ll leave you to relax and unwind.

There is a seperate road for the barn and property out back which is a shared enterance at the very end of the driveway. We have a farmhand who lives on the seperate property beyond the barn, out of sight, you may see her on the barn road as she travels to and from work, she is a local lobster fisherman!

Please note that as this is a working farm, you may experience some farm smells—something we cherish as part of the life we love here. It’s a way of living that we’ve worked hard to build and take great pride in. We’re thrilled to share this beautiful experience with other respectful families who appreciate the charm of farm life.

Dogs: All dogs must be well-mannered, leashed, and supervised. For pet-sitting needs, a trusted neighbor doggy daycare is directly across the street.

This is such a wonderful unit located directly on Pleasant Mountain (Shawnee Peak) located on the East Slope trail and can be seen on Pleasants website showing its superb location that is seconds to MOOSE POND! 3 Floors of living, with 2 Full bathrooms and one half bathroom. This townhouse is newer construction within. the last 15 years and offers modern features.
Totally updated TRI LEVEL 2/3 Bedroom Ski House on Shawnee Peak. We are pet friendly on a case by case basis.

Location cannot be beat, the townhouse is an end unit so natural light on 3 sides, 2 parking spaces directly outside and plenty more in the lower parking lot.

Upon Entering into the space, you come into what functions as the first of the 3 bedrooms but also functions as an office space, playroom, tv room, lounge area. There is a full bathroom on this level with a large closet, the room is not split up so this bedroom is open to the entire floor.

Going up the Hardwood stairs you enter into a fully applianced kitchen that is open to the living space and has a breakfast peninsula bar attached to it. Great space to make meals after a day on the slopes. The large living space has an abundance of natural light as well as a walk out patio/porch that leads to the EAST SLOPE. Large 8 person dining table for your formal dinners.

Top floor has the two main bedrooms that share a full bathroom, master is very large with a good sized closet for use, the 2nd bedroom is also a generous size with another large closet of same size. Both bedrooms have a dresser in them. Both have a TV although the 2nd bedroom may or may not have one at the time of your rental. Lots of windows and light abound with top to bottom shades in the master bedroom. Washer and dryer is on this level and brand new machines are on order and expected by early Jan.

The master has a walk out porch for 2 people max. The living room side has a large walkout porch that will lead to the ski slope and mountain and a. Gas grill on this side.

The fireplace has has been turned off for rentals out of an abundance of caution and will not be for short term rental usage.

- "Perfection! And our Hostess couldnt have been more wonderful!" - "The Chalet - We had a wonderful stay at The Chalet. It slept our family plus in laws comfortably and was an excellent home base to explore Deer Isle and Stonington. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook (minus the food). There were some puzzles and indoor/outdoor games to play with also. Having a washer/dryer made the 2 week stay much easier. There’s a walking path to the shore/dock right from the Chalet (maybe 5 min walking downhill). We loved how private and wooded the property is. Overall the house and property were even better than pictured. Just a note that the house is not insulated or heated, it does have a working fireplace though. The area - We visited almost every preserve the island had to offer and they were all great — better than great, 10 out of 10. It was enough to keep us busy for 2 weeks with a few repeats. Visiting Barred Island Preserve was top of the list and others like Shore Acres and Scott’s Landing were great because their meadow trails were easier for kids/grandparents to walk on. Sand Beach was a family favorite too, be brave and swim. The area is not well-suited for bicycles, shoulders on roads are small or non-existent. There is no “major” grocery store on Deer Isle but there are several seafood and regular food markets. The seafood was very delicious! We intended to take a drive to a larger grocery store but never did and were completely fine. We visited in mid-September and by then most places were operating with “Fall” hours, which we had to be mindful of. A few things we didn’t do but you could - take the ferry to Isle Ah Haut from Stonington, drive 1.5 hrs to Acadia National Park. We really enjoyed this trip!"

Welcome to our beautiful lakeside property with a serene and private setting. This Lindal style home is elevated a bit on a small incline and across a dirt road from the lake. The 99 feet of lakefront allows for easy access for both the younger members of your family and those young at heart. Our home is on the quieter side of the lake and you can hear the loons calling during the morning and evening hours. We have a perfect spot to relax, unwind and enjoy all the lake and surrounding forest has to offer. The dock and stairs to the water make it easy to launch our kayaks, canoes, row boat or simply go for a swim. The lake has great year-round fishing and there are nearby trails in the winter to snowmobile. There is a sand bar near the middle of the lake where a volleyball court has been set up for you and your friends to play! Also, just a short walk from the house is a beach area with a designated space for swimming. Down by the lake you have a large screened in room to enjoy the lake and be protected from the elements. Take long walks or hikes or enjoy the stars while sitting at your outside fire pit.

The house has a large generator which will keep all the lights and outlets working if the power goes out. We also have wall air conditioning units in the bedrooms and the second story family room/bedroom on those occasional hot summer night.

The other thing we had an issue with was finding tons of 3-4" construction screws on boat dock and in the water. we ended up diving to be sure we got them all. One child had stepped on one. we ended up with at least 10 screws. Other than that we had an amazing time and relaxed and had fun with family. We rented this cottage for my dad who is 83 and my brother from Chicago so we could all spend time together. The rental did not disappoint."

This is a beautiful home built in 2005 over looking Harmon Harbour Maine. Just 1 1/2 miles to Reid State Park which has two main beaches, tide pools, river, and lagoon. It is one of the most beautiful parks in Maine. you can find baby lobsters, crabs, starfish, hermit crabs, and fish in the tidepools (my kids love it). There are also many cookout areas at Reid state park. The home comes with a beach pass for one car. Five Islands Harbour just 1 mile from home. One of Maine's prettiest working fishing villages that has ice cream and a lobster pound. We have WiFi but because of our location it is very slow and spotty.

We are located right off of RT 201. There are two other cabins on our property so this is not a secluded camp deep in the woods.
The chalet is closest to the road (which is busy) so you should expect to hear road noise during your stay.

You can be the bartender for everyone! In the Great Room there is a gas fireplace which makes a great place to sit and relax after a day on the slopes or out and about. The updated kitchen features a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, basic drip coffee maker, toaster oven and all the essential cooking tools you need. The living room is furnished with a wrap around leather couch, Smart TV with streaming capabilities, DVD player, movies and games. Also located on the first floor is the updated full bathroom with new washer and dryer available for your use.

The master bedroom, located on the second floor, has a King bed and full sized futon with a private porch and beautiful views of the pond. The full bathroom and two more bedrooms are located upstairs with a queen bed in one room and a queen and twin bed in another. Lastly the fourth bedroom can be found on the first floor off the kitchen, it has two twin beds.

The large deck offers views of the pond and the fire pit is a major highlight, along with the privacy on the property. We have a propane BBQ grill, an outdoor table and chairs for your enjoyment! The brand NEW hot tub is also located off the deck and is the perfect spot for stargazing.

Guest access
You have access to the entire home, except for two locked closets labeled accordingly in the kitchen and master bedroom. In addition, guests do not have access to the detached barn/garage at the entrance of the property.

Other things to note
This property is relatively remote, located about 25 minutes from the town of Kingfield with a small grocery store, gas stations and a few restaurants. The home is 45 minutes from Sugarloaf Mountain Resort.

Limited cell service at this property. Reliable internet, as well as a land line is available for guests.

The fireplace is to be used by experienced individuals, we provide a reasonable amount of firewood. Please do you not use it if you are not familiar.

The small pond is primarily used for kayaking/canoeing. We do not recommend swimming. Ice skate on it in the winter at your own risk!
