Marlboro Beach Road Cottage is a quaint little cottage lovingly cared for by the owners. The property features amazing ocean views, as well as views of Mount Desert Island, and is just a short 5 minute walk to beautiful Marlboro Beach in the coastal town of Lamoine, Maine. Featuring two bedrooms and one full bath, this cottage has everything you need to enjoy summer in Maine! The cottage is within minutes to two beautiful beaches and a 25-minute drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

- "Check in process was smooth and seamless. Cute older house. It was very neat and tidy when we got there. The kitchen was well stocked if you want to do your own cooking. You may want to. There are only a couple of places to go eat and they are 15-20 minutes away. There were plenty of towels. The toiletries offered weren’t enough for 2 people for 3 days. Just one travel size each of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The travel size bath bar got us through the last day. The couch is older and uncomfortable to sit on as the padding was gone. They had some tourist pamphlets there for our convenience which was nice. I found the master bedroom mattress uncomfortable. Very hard and I don’t mind a firm mattress. My husband didn’t mind it because he has a bad back. We enjoyed watching he deer eat apples from the tree out front. Marlboro beach around the corner was beautiful to visit. Communication was easy with our host. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

Completely redone in 2016, this house comfortably accommodates 9 people and can sleep 10 with a role away bed and is equipped with three full bathrooms. Here you can enjoy easy mornings and cozy nights while maintaining a comfortable inviting living space for you, your friends and loved ones to share.

The newly added second story master bedroom contains a walk-in closet leading to the private bathroom and has a more spectacular views. There is a lovely dining room attached to the kitchen and living room and the other bedrooms are set just down the hall with the other two restrooms. This property has amenities such as the use of two kayaks, a large gas grill and a wide long deck that lets you relax and enjoy the sunset and sunrise over Cadillac Mountain, or watch the cruise ships as they sail into Bar Harbor for the day. Take a walk down the beach where there is an old boat landing on a public beach, or take a short walk up the road to Lamoine State Park to enjoy the activity there, as boaters and fishermen enter and exit the waters of Frenchman's Bay and children play on the play ground.

The property is also available for those special events in the spring and fall if you are looking for million dollar views on a quite 3-acre lot right on the ocean with a walkable beach.

Welcome to Seabrook - secluded ocean front cabin with an open floor plan. Rough cut timbers and pine wood floors provide a very cozy feel. The cabin has a covered screened in porch with a southern view of Racoon Cove. Outside the property has an outstanding vista of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. Cabin sits near the shore and provides water access for kayaking, and exploring Raccon Cove. Relax by a beautiful babbling brook in the back yard. The property is also centrally located in Lamione and is close to all of its amenities, just 1 1/2 miles from Marboro Beach, 1/2 mile from freshwater swimming at Bloomfield Park on Blunt's Pond, and 3 miles from Lamoine State Park, and Lamoine Beach. All saltwater sites provide boat access to Frenchman's Bay. Both portions of Acadia, (Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Pennisula), and Bar Harbor are within a 15-20 minute drive. Ellsworth is within 10 mins for easy access to groceries, gift shops, restaurants, movies, and even LL. Bean.

An open floor plan, rough cut timbers and hardwood floors provide a very cozy cabin feel. Outside the property has a large open deck with a southern view of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. A short walk down to the shore provides water access for kayaking, and exploring Raccon Cove. Rent both properties and save $100.00 on each rental.

- "This was such a Maine Camp getaway. Incredibly quiet, creek out back, SCREENED PORCH, comfy beds. The wifi was good. We did use the air conditioning a few times but it was never hot. Being familiar with the area, we only ventured to Bar Harbor 1 day and made sure to be in the queue to leave the island by 4pm. We did not use the little Seaside cabin but looked at it and it was absolutely adorable. Being in the woods as it is, we would recommend bringing some additional lights or battery lanterns to brighten the house's dark corners after dark. The washer and dryer work great and the shower has good pressure. We visited Reny's, Bean outlet and Blueberry Hill in Ellsworth/Bangor, went to Timber Tina's lumberjack show, Marlintini's in Blue Hill for turkey dinner on Tuesdays and Blunts Pond. Other than that, it was just the spot to recharge before returning home. Thank you Nate and Becky"

The house is well appointed with comfortable beds and beautifully decorated in a coastal theme. The view from the main bedroom upstairs is breathtaking in the morning, you do not have to get out of bed to enjoy it. It's equally dramatic on the first level and there are plenty of spots in the house to sit and read and still enjoy the view of the water. The screened in area would be a huge bonus when the bugs are out, fortunately the rain and cool temperatures kept them at bay for our visit. The waterfront/beach area can be accessed by a long set of stairs down to the water. It is very private and while there are a few neighbors, you don't really see the homes through the foliage. It really is a beautiful location."

Hodgkins' House is located on beautiful Frenchman Bay overlooking the mountains of Acadia. A 25 minute drive could have you on a whale watch boat, golf at Kebo, or on your way up Cadillac Mountain to be the first to see the sun rise. Ten minutes to go cart rides, water park, mini golf, movies and Bird's Acre. For the shopper in every family there is an LL Bean outlet,Reny's Marden's Atlantic Art Glass and lots of little antique shops and home made ice cream places. Relax on the lush lawns with a game of badminton, croquet or make s'mores over your firepit as the sun sets on the bay. Families can have quality time together or have the space to spread out and enjoy alone time. Play games on the screened in sun porch or relax on the day bed with a good read. This home is within 5 minutes of 3 beaches, Lamoine State Park and Lamoine Beach and fresh water Blunt's Pond. Air Conditioned in the living room.

Enjoy this beautiful 1990 constructed post and beam home nestled in the woods on a private five acre retreat. This home has cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors throughout, an open floor plan with lots of windows. The first floor bedroom has a queen-size bed and views through the woods to the water. There is a half-bath on the first floor. Walk upstairs to a private, spacious loft with two twin beds and a full bathroom. Watch the change of the water on this tidal cove (11 ft tidal change). Swim at high tide off granite ledges and enjoy low tide walks along the shoreline. Your stay includes all bed linens and bath towels.

It is important to arrive at your vacation rental without any huge surprises, so let me tell you a bit more about the place.

The house is 1200 square feet, located 1/2 mile down a dirt road. You cannot see another house from our house. There is a washer/dryer but not a dishwasher. There is a DVD/VHS player but no regular television stations. There is wifi internet connection at the house. There is a forced hot air Rinnai heater, as well as a woodstove. The water is only 120 feet away from the deck. At high tide there is 11 feet of water, and at low tide there are mudflats. The town of Ellsworth is 6 miles away and has 2 large grocery stores, shopping, movies, and restaurants.

Our rentals run Saturday to Saturday.

We have a limit of 4 people sleeping at the house, and we do not allow pets.

Acadia National Park is a treasure to explore. The Schoodic Peninsula area of Acadia is more remote, less traveled, yet equally as spectacular as the Mount Desert Island area. This rental house is a 30 minute drive from each of these Acadia National Park locations.

The Space.
The house was designed with adventure seeking travelers in mind. On the first floor guests have access to two queen bedrooms and two full bathrooms. A new second floor bedroom with a king size bed is a welcome expansion to accommodate larger groups. Our oversized family room is a perfect space to relax, read, watch some television on a big screen, or play a board game with the family! The full kitchen, with many upgraded amenities, stone countertops, gas range, and dishwasher, gives you the perfect space to cook or visit some of our favorite restaurants less than 15 minutes away. A large well-lit deck gives you a tranquil spot to sip your morning coffee and hopefully catch a peek at some woodland visitors. Our washer and dryer are neatly tucked away in the entryway and are essential for washing up after your many outdoor adventures.

Area Adventures.
Are you a swimmer? Great! You'll find that the Lamoine Public Beach and State Park are only 4 miles away and offer expansive beach, for swimming, sea glass combing, or kayaking! More of a Lake swimmer? No problem, there are several ponds and lakes situated about 18 miles away to the Hulls Cove Visitor Entrance at Acadia National Park, or check out one of our local favorites, Donnell Pond, for a quiet sandy lake swim and convenient mountain hiking. Need a quick morning walk. The Frenchmen Bay Conservatory's Simon Trail is situated right across the road and offers a 1 mile loop with an abundance of ferns and mushrooms to view.

Boy, we were we wrong! This property has a PERFECT location, especially during the summer when tourists take over the park. You are close enough (30 minutes or less depending on traffic) to the park but far enough away to escape the madness that is Bar Harbor. Likewise, you are close to Ellsworth, which has great restaurants with no waits. And the property? Gorgeous. It is probably the first VRBO we ever stayed at that looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Clean, modern, perfect for families. I am a self-avowed VRBO snob and I absolutely loved this place. Yeah, a half bath upstairs would be nice but it's really a small quibble. Paige and Katie are super accessible and really have all your travel bases covered. Brava!"

- "This welcoming home was private, spacious and impeccably clean. Our family of 10 enjoyed the private beach in front of the home, the beautiful views, beach combing , kayaking and much more. The immediate area offered plenty to do and supermarkets and restaurants were nearby. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor were awesome and they were about a half hour away. The kids loved all the toys and the piano in the house. Our hostess was extremely helpful and well informed about the area. Highly recommended."

There are two bedrooms upstairs (One has queen sized bed and the other has full sized bed) , along with a partially finished basement which has a big bedroom with a queen sized bed and big closet. There are beautiful gardens and a private backyard.

- "My family of four used the house mostly as a base for visiting Acadia. It was an easy 25 minute drive to get to the park. We loved the setting of the house-it was nice to come back to the quiet, secluded setting after the crowds at Acadia. As the mom, I appreciated all the basic amenities that were included, such as bedding , towels, soap, shampoos, lotion, coffee, sugar, and etc. All of us wished we could have just hung out more, but our time was too short. Thanks for sharing this lovely house!"

The entire house is run on electricity and uses an eco-friendly geothermal heating system, which is not only better for the environment but creates the perfect temperature and humidity controlled interior climate. So whether it's a chilly Maine day or hot and sunny, you're sure to be comfortable! The system recirculates filtered air every 15 minutes, which is beneficial for those who suffer from allergies.

This home is located in the center of Lamoine, Maine. It's 3 miles from Lamoine beach, 2 miles from Marlboro beach and 1.5 miles to Lamoine State Park. 25 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. 40 minute drive in the other direction to Schoodic. Shopping and dining in Ellsworth, Bangor, Blue Hill, Hancock and Mount Desert Island. The home is located on a quiet wooded road.

Dogs are welcome (two dogs maximum). A medium- or large-sized wire inside crate is available upon request and large outside fenced in area. Plenty of space for your pup to run! Great road for walking and the area/Acadia is generally very dog friendly. It's a quiet road so please be courteous to the neighbors.

- "We loved the house and location. The property was incredibly clean and everything was ready for occupancy when we arrived. The fire pit area was peaceful and the kitchen was stocked with necessary tools. Be prepared to purchase/provide basic spices & seasonings for cooking, if you love to cook like we do. It’s not a problem, but just good to know. The location was perfect for exploring Acadia NP, Bar Harbor and Bangor. And if you’re interested in a more extensive road trip (we chased the sun on a rainy day), the proximity to New Brunswick is also convenient. Multiple board games and cards are available to entertain during a stormy night in. There isn’t a lot of space for walking/running right out the door, but there is a short trail just up the road and Lamoine Beach is a short drive away too. I highly recommend this place!"

A unique and tranquil getaway, the top two floors of this charming Maine farm house built in 1890. We are adjacent to Lamoine State Park and 1 mile from Lamoine Beach on Frenchman Bay. Located in the heart of Downeast Maine, you will be equidistant to Mount Desert Island (& Bar Harbor) and the Schoodic Peninsula for all of your explorations. And you are only 15 minutes away from all retail services in the county hub of Ellsworth.

The space
This property is surrounded on three sides by the Lamoine State Park. You can walk straight from my backyard into the Park and down to the waterfront where you will find both working fishermen and vacationers.

The kitchen has everything you need for cooking at home, prepping for picnics in the Lamoine State Park and your outings in Acadia National Park.

The bedrooms are very comfortable with ample space for storage, the livingroom faces south and overlooks a verdant backyard. Full bathroom with a washer and dryer.

Kids love the third floor with it's matching twin beds and relative privacy to parents.

Guests enter the first floor vestibule through the front door and ascend a staircase to the apartment (2nd and 3rd floors). There is a picnic table in the backyard that is available for use by guests.

This cabin #Berrymaine is located approx. 10 mi./20 min. from Mt. Desert Island. Close enough to access Acadia Nat'l Park, Bar Harbor, and Schoodic, but secluded enough to enjoy a quiet respite from the day’s activities. Best for couples/sm families.

The space
This is a camp. For many families in Maine, having a camp (cabin) is a family tradition. Camps are often passed down through generations. This camp is on the one hand rustic, but it is comfortable with modern conveniences such as indoor heat and high speed internet. It has 2 bedrooms, one with a new comfy queen bed, and the other with a new bunk bed. A full kitchen (mini-refrigerator), a full bathroom, and a small heater for cool evenings makes your stay comfortable. The bedrooms do not have doors, however we have curtains for privacy between the bedrooms and kitchen/living area. There is also a mud room/entryway that provides additional room for your gear.
The camp is far enough away from neighbors that you can leave the windows open at night, hearing the wind high in the trees. You will have solitude, quiet and be surrounded by the aroma of white pine and fir needles on a sunny day.

Guest access
Guests have full use of the camp, lawn, private driveway, and private parking. The large lawn is perfect for hanging out in the sun in the afternoon, grilling out for dinner, and stargazing late-night. There is also a nice hammock. Previous renters and guests always remark about the wildlife sightings and quiet surroundings. We even had a moose sighting in the driveway in 2023! Also, from the camp, you can take a short 5 minute drive to Lamoine Beach (free) or Lamoine State Park (fee). Both locations offer a quiet, sandy ocean beach with amazing views of Mount Desert Island where you can take a walk, put your toes in the water, skip rocks, or go clamming.

The space
Make Acadia Four Seasons your home away from home. This home features 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 well-appointed bathrooms. There are 3 queen beds and 2 twin trundles providing ample space to accommodate 10 people. There is a bathroom on each floor for easy access.

When you walk in you will be greeted with panoramic views of the coast. You will want to kick off your shoes and run straight to your private deck. You will see an outdoor dining and seating area that is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Nothing beats watching the sunset over the coast while enjoying the company of your friends and family. Don’t let me forget the fire-pit and games!

Inside you will find a spacious living room with floor to ceiling windows, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, designated work space, smart TV, washer & dryer, and everything you need for your next family vacation.

While the house has amazing views of the water, there is no water access. Please do not walk to the water as that is not part of the property.

There are stairs on the property. All guests will need to be able to climb stairs. There are 3 steps to the entrance, stairs to the living room, and stairs to the lower level. Please watch your step.

The house does not have AC. We provide portable fans, and you are welcome to open the windows. There are screens. Maine does not get super hot in the summertime, and at night, it cools down.

We provide a crib, high chair, baby gates, children’s dinnerware, children toys, and room darkening shades. Please note that there are various sets of stairs in the home. We provide extra baby gates for the stairs connecting the living room to the kitchen if needed.

This is a pet-friendly home. However, the yard is not fenced. Pets must be kept on leash. We provide dog waste bags, bowls, and a crate. Please note that no pets are allowed on the furniture. In addition, guests are responsible for picking up after their pets. There is a fee for not picking up pet droppings in the yard. Lastly, pets are not allowed to be loose in the house when left alone. Please keep your pet in a crate.

The laundry room is not kid friendly. The boiler is in the room and can be hot. Therefore, we provided a baby gate sectioning off the room from the rest of the house. Please be careful.

Lamoine is a quiet community just outside of Ellsworth ... 20 miles from Bar Harbor/Acadia Park. My home is the ideal location for anyone wanting to be accessible to all that's going on, yet be Off- the- Beaten Path on 2 wooded acres, down a 1/2 mile dirt driveway. You must drive slow to avoid wildlife!

I'm just past Lamoine Park and within walking distance of the Beach, a great place to watch the sunrise. I'm secluded yet available to all amenities and breakfast is provided. Welcome.

The space
My guests have the use of the downstairs level of my home. The living room and kitchen are shared occasionally by me. The private bedroom and private bath are on this level.

Guest access
Parking is in front of 41 Linden and the deck. The guest entrance door to the house is up some stairs to the side door on the ground level.

During your stay
I am upstairs and available by telephone or Airbnb email, which I check regularly during the day. I like my guests to let me know ASAP if there are any difficulties, problems or needs so that I may address them, rather than finding out after they've left. I want you to be as comfortable as possible and will do whatever I can to insure you have a pleasant stay.

Other things to note
Because of the rural setting where I built my home, it is Very Important to drive slowly on Linden Lane. There are wild animals, hikers and domestic animals that use my dirt driveway.

Enjoy our cozy, well equipped cabin nestled in the woods of Maine. Make s’mores around the firepit on the patio, cook Maine lobsters, (fresh from the Captain), in the well stocked kitchen or just relax in the swing on the covered porch. Private, yet close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor (30 minutes) as well as L.L. Bean Outlet (10 minutes) Schoodic Point and Down East Maine. This place is a must stay...

The space
The camper is set up on a nicely cleared lot with plenty of room. There is a picnic table, fire pit, and chairs for your use. You have access to a Grill, as well as parking for your vehicle. Sleeps 4 comfy.

We are pet and 420 friendly. We also have 2 dogs and a cat and ask that you remain in control of your animals.

When booking with pets, we ask that you let us know ahead of time if you are bringing your beloved pup, so we are aware. Dogs MUST be well adjusted and friendly with other dogs. Pets cannot be left unattended in the camper, please plan accordingly.

The location is nestled in the woods but easy to get to. There are wild animals that wander the woods, so please be aware. We also ask that all smoking be done outside the camper.

Whether you are looking for hiking, biking, swimming, or other water activities, or if you just want to plant yourself and read, this location is prime for either the adventurer or the relaxer. The Sunrise ATV Trail is less than 1/4 mile away, or trout fishing in Archer Brook. Come visit!

The space
I built this building as my guest cottage, but never built my house. The cottage is on 8 acres and tucked into the woods. U can’t see the neighbors and they can’t see you.
Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and restaurants are all within 10-15 miles. When u wake up in the morning you will see deer or Rabbits somewhere grazing on the property. Enjoy Maine at it’s finest!

The space
Located on the head of Frenchmans Bay overlooking Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Enjoy evenings on the rocky beach as the sun sets behind you and the red light of Egg Rock lighthouse shines in the bay. Enjoy a cookout on the lawn or feast on local favorite lobster! Wander through the gardens enjoying the smell of the flowers, and the sounds of the songbirds. Enjoy the shorefront, sunning, reading or taking a dip in the cool waters of the bay.

Located on 10 acres on the shore, you have the access to the gardens, beach and lawns. Barbecue and relax having lunch or dinner beside your accommodations located above the three car garage. After a short walk there is a public beach with beautiful views.

Other things to note
Often guest love to get up early and catch the sunrise from the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. This is the place where the sun first rays touch the USA. Starting this year during the summer months you need reservations to observations for the sunrise as ther is limited space on the top of the mountain. Please visit the Acadia National Park web site before you arrive to secure your reservation. Problem could be uncooperative weather! There are many activities in the area and there is a map of the hiking trails should you wish to do some hiking. There is also public free shuttle service in the park. It is a 10 minute ride by car to the pick up for this free service.

Welcome to Yiannis Cove, midway between Acadia National Park and Schoodic Point, 7 miles east of Ellsworth, Maine. This waterfront retreat on 15 acres offers a private 2nd floor suite in a home with stunning water views. We offer the perfect balance of seclusion and proximity, allowing you to unwind while remaining conveniently close to all Acadia's Park attractions. This tranquil setting earns its name as the Land of Tranquility, providing a serene escape within reach of everything nearby.

The space
The Private Suite is located on the 2nd floor. It contains a separate room with a King size bed and a fully enclosed outdoor sitting room overlooking the water.
The main room consists of a queen size bed with water views (with privacy curtain). The overall suite contains a full bathroom an indoor sitting area with refrigerator, table, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Guest highspeed fiber optic internet access is also included. If you desire to have additional guests beyond 4 guests there are an additional two bedrooms and a full bathroom also available on the 2nd floor to accommodate your needs. Maximum capacity for entire 2nd floor is 8 persons (@$85 per person).

Cozy, peaceful B&B near Bar Harbor, ME and Acadia National Park. We are a half mile from Lamoine beach on a quiet country road. Our property has a pond and 6 acres with an array of wildlife. Local quaint shopping areas and restaurants in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor which is from 15-30 minutes from our B&B.

The space
The Serengeti room is upstairs and is our smallest bedroom. It has a private bathroom, full size bed, overhead fan, internet/wifi, as well as TV with Roku in room. There is a small fridge upstairs in shared foyer for guests. The library and breakfast room as well as the foyer outside of the bedrooms are all shared spaces and filled with chairs, tables, games, and books for guests to relax and enjoy themselves. A different full homemade breakfast entree each morning Is served which may include belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, baked french toast, an egg strata, chocolate chip pancakes, or a variety of other hot dishes. Along with breakfast there are usually either fresh baked muffins, scones, or yogurt and fruit. There is always access to hot coffee, tea, or hot cocoa and snacks. Chocolate chip cookies are put in rooms at night. We have no pets and we do not allow guests to bring pets since there are family allergies as well as many friends and guests who come that have certain severe allergies.

Welcome to our charming country farmhouse located in the quiet town of Lamoine adjacent to our 38-acre horse farm. Our home has 3 porches to relax and enjoy the country views on. We are a short 30-minute drive to Acadia National Park, 45 minutes to the Schoodic Peninsula, a short drive to points "Downeast", 5 minutes to Ellsworth, 15 minutes to the Bar Harbor Airport and 45 minutes to the Bangor International Airport.

The space
The newly restored farmhouse is the perfect atmosphere for either a family vacation or a quiet, relaxing getaway. The farmhouse has 3 porches, all with serene country views. If you like to be busy, you could drive to Acadia for the day and then enjoy your evening on one of our porches listening to the peepers, hearing the horses munching grass in the fields and gazing at the stars. Abundant wildlife within and near our property. We have a BBQ grill, picnic table, fire pit and a relaxing hammock available for our guests to use. New to 2023, a completely remodeled bathroom with a walk-in tile shower. Pictures will be available and posted online in April 2023.

Life Jackets: Guest(s) is solely responsible for providing and wearing U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets at all times when engaging in water activities.

The Host is not responsible for any fines, citations, or legal action resulting from noncompliance.

Our unique and rustic post & beam cabin sits up a staircase atop a ledge on seven forested acres. The small cabin makes great use of space with modern-day conveniences. A private retreat (no neighbors in sight) yet close to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and Schoodic Peninsula.

The space
This 700-square-foot cabin has one bedroom with a full bed with extra sleeping space on the fold-out futon couch in the loft. A well-equipped kitchen (no dishwasher) and full bathroom provide an out-of-the-ordinary but comfortable stay in a rustic setting. If needed, a high-efficiency electric heat pump serves as a heater and air conditioner. A screened porch and treetop roof deck are perfect peaceful spots to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. A wood stove, outdoor fire pit, and tiki bar are added touches to make your stay fun. This is a place for people who don't need or expect luxury, but enjoy quiet simplicity.

Other things to note
The only access to the cabin is a stairway up from the driveway that is lit with only solar lights. This home was built to minimize its carbon footprint therefore there is no dishwasher or washer/dryer. It is the ideal space for a couple who don't require long hot showers or baths (small water heater). Also, no cable but there is a TV and DVD player in the loft, along with a selection of DVD movies, and there is WiFi for your devices. Cell service can be spotty here depending on your service provider. Bedding and towels are included. The well has naturally occurring sulfur and sometimes the water has a sulfur smell. It's safe for drinking, but we do have an electric water cooler for drinking water.

Upstairs, a small, sunny room with charming blue-painted vintage plank wood floors serves as the perfect office for focusing online, or for painting and writing.

Fully Equipped Kitchen:
Equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven, drip coffee maker, Keurig, and an abundance of plates, dishes, and linens, you'll find everything you need for a great stay.

There's a washer and dryer with soap, too.

Adventure Gear:
You'll find emergency umbrellas, blaze orange bandanas (for visibility on streets and trails), a few beach towels, and portable camping chairs for visits to nearby Lamoine Beach, Lamoine State Park, Marlboro Beach and beyond.

Comfort and Security:
Enjoy central heat and and a/c in the summah. For your peace of mind, a Ring security camera is installed on the roof facing the driveway.

Cozy, peaceful B&B near Bar Harbor, ME and Acadia National Park. We are a half mile from Lamoine beach on a quiet country road. Our property has a pond and 6 acres with an array of wildlife. Local quaint shopping areas and restaurants in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor which is from 15-30 minutes from our B&B.

The space
Mrs Muir's room is upstairs and has 3 different views overlooking the property, a private bathroom, queen size bed, internet/wifi, as well as TV with Roku in room. There is a small fridge upstairs in shared foyer for guests. The library and breakfast room as well as the foyer outside of the bedrooms are all shared spaces and filled with chairs, tables, games, and books for guests to relax and enjoy themselves. A different full homemade breakfast entree each morning Is served which may include belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, baked french toast, an egg strata, chocolate chip pancakes, or a variety of other hot dishes. Along with breakfast there are usually either fresh baked muffins, scones, or yogurt and fruit. There is always access to hot coffee, tea, or hot cocoa and snacks. Chocolate chip cookies are put in rooms at night. We have no pets and we do not allow guests to bring pets since there are family allergies as well as many friends and guests who come that have certain severe allergies.

Our family is excited to share our tiny house with you! Located on our artist collective farm, this is our favorite place on earth. It’s off grid, cottage core, and has a beautiful & fragrant cedar sauna. We are 27 minutes from Acadia National Park and surrounded by truly gorgeous local beaches. We offer super comfy beds, an outdoor shower, twinkle lights, summer nights filled with fireflies, bright maples in the fall, and cozy winter movie nights in a bed alcove like on a boat.

The space
We built this tiny house (called Rosehip Sauna) in 2024 with all our love and are BEYOND excited to share it with you.

Off-grid

It is all electric but has off-grid plumbing with a composting toilet and gray water disposal system. Our indoor hot shower has a 10 gallon water heater that is ideal for a nice and hot 10 minute shower. The water heater only takes around 30 minutes to reheat. This runs on an RV pump so there's the pulsing hum of it pumping that you'll hear. During the warmer months, we also have an outdoor shower that has unlimited hot water. Your cabin uses a composting, diverter toilet called a Separette, which may require a little learning curve! There is a slight scoot involved when you do your business, but that’s it! The composting takes care of itself and any maintenance happens after you leave.

Bedrooms

We have a two bed bunk, our full bed mattress is up a set of steep steps, so may not be accessible for some folks or suitable for all kids. We installed a safety gate that can slide across the second floor alcove opening. The downstairs bunk has a very comfy queen mattress and a small Roku TV. Upstairs is a plush full bed.

Kitchenette

Our kitchenette has a toaster oven, electric burner, mini fridge, kitchen essentials like cutting boards, bowls, pans and condiments, a water cooler, electric kettle and a large French press.

Sauna

We have an Almost Heaven cedar barrel sauna with an electric Harvia heater which heats to 180 to 200 degrees .The heater is water compatible and so it's possible to pour water on the rocks and create steam. The cedar smells so good! We offer robes and slippers and the outdoor shower in the warmer months as a refresher afterward.

Outdoor area

In your patio/deck area there is a breakfast table, hammock, a propane bbq, an outdoor fire pit, and sitting area.

Heat/AC

We have a heat pump that is super efficient in our tiny space.

Pups

At our art farm, dogs are more than welcome! We love them! We provide a bed, bowls, and treats. We love dogs and have a pack, so we ask that you keep yours on a leash when outside.

Guest access
Our cabin is located on the front parcel of our artist collective and farm. You’ll stay off a small forested path that's 200 feet from our main road and 70 feet from our neighbor's road. You'll be nestled between another small cabin (the Bambi) and our home and studios up the private drive, you may see us bopping around! You will likely hear quiet talking, see us using our tractor, or smell bait from the lobster traps and skiffs going by as we’re neighbors with many fishermen. Overhead, there’s seagulls and osprey and falcons and an occasional eagle, and lots of deer and rabbits and porcupines in our woods.

Beaches

The tiny house is a few minutes down the street from both Lamoine State Beach and Lamoine Beach Park and less than ten minutes from the truly stunning Marlboro Beach.

Shopping

You’re near a main road and about 10 minutes from any local basic staples/big box store shopping/Dunkin and 18 minutes from Historic Downtown Ellsworth with really wonderful shopping and restaurants that we love.

Acadia!

We're 27 minutes to the Acadia National Park Entrance, 36 minutes to Bar Harbor, a scenic 45 minutes to Sand Beach and 40 minutes to Scoodic. We're out of the fray and on our own peninsula off of Mount Desert Island. This is a great spot for those who are happy to be out of the traffic and the tourist action, but still near enough to venture into Acadia often and also to explore other Downeast spots off island. Locals love this location and we're a three generation family from the area who will be happy to help you with local recs and suggestions.

Accessibility/Parking

There's parking just in front of the trail to your tiny house that's big enough for two cars. The trail is gravel and around 200 feet. There are 3 small steps leading up to the tiny house.

Fall/winter

For our fall and winter guests, sauna will be running year round. Your heat pump will keep it cozy too! We think this is a fabulous time to visit our area, so come on ovah for our cozy fall/ winter touches—we live here year round and are excited to share our favorite time of year with you! We can also recommend lots of off-season activities like XC skiing and where to rent those as well as our favorite pumpkin patches and haunted houses nearby.

Quiet Hours

We have strict 10 pm quiet hours in Lamoine and ask that there are no parties or any loud gatherings out of respect for our neighbors. We ask that there is no music playing outdoors, as we adore and cherish the sounds of nature !

Minutes from Acadia, Bar Harbor, Ellsworth and other DownEast destinations. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful home in the heart of Vacationland. We are nearing the end of a long renovation, so you will find some projects unfinished (mostly exterior). But, we hope that won't stop you from having a great time exploring the area. New floors, kitchen, lighting, and hot water heat pump - we've poured a lot of love and energy into making this a great spot for our family, and yours!

The space
The house is a one story ranch on a quarter acre lot, on a quiet, residential street. It includes a dine-in kitchen (everyone's favorite room in the house!), a comfortable living room (Roku TV. wi-fi, standing desk), two bedrooms (one with a queen bed, and one with a double and bunk beds), and bathroom (with laundry). We have done a lot to the house including new appliances, refinishing floors, upgrading the hot water system and more. There are still a few unfinished pieces: the landscaping and some drywall work around the bathroom skylight.

Guest access
You will have access to the first floor of the house and the entire yard, including grill, deck and firepit. The shed and basement are not accessible to guests.

Outdoor grill propane refill is the responsibility of the guest.
Please do not bring firewood from outside of Maine.

You'll have a great time at this comfortable place to stay. My home is just 19 miles to Barharbor and 23 miles to the Schoodic Peninsula. Lamoine State Park is just down the road as well, along with beautiful views at Marlboro Beach. No cleaning fee!

You have the first floor of my farmhouse completely to yourselves. There is an apartment up above you on my second floor. There is spacious parking as well.

Alvah's Park Ranger Cabin, a 480 square foot post and beam cabin cut from the heart of the Maine woods.

The cabin features a very comfortable loft bedroom with king sized bed. A queen-sized futon converts into additional sleep space on the first floor.

The cabin has it's own private back yard with deck and fire pit.

An RV rental spot with its own yard and fire pit is separated by a 9x16 foot fence.

The space
A studio style kitchen, with refrigerator and counter top stove greets you when you walk into Alvah's Park Ranger Cabin. The ships ladder leads to the master suite in the loft where a king size bed awaits tired hikers, travelers/sightseers. On the first floor, a full-sized futon is a couch by day and folds into a very comfortable bed for night use. The bathroom features a shower, lavatory and head. The smell of the Maine woods surrounds you as you relax and get ready for a day hiking in Acadia or plying the waters of Frenchman's Bay.

Alvah's location allows easy access to both the Mount Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula section of Acadia National Park. Explore both!

While Alvah's Park Ranger Cabin doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast.

Campfires are allowed in the fire pit when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. All fires must be drowned before going to sleep or leaving the site for daily adventures.

Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Alvah's Park Ranger Cabin. In 2021, just shy of 4 million people visited the Acadia area. 2023 was jammed with visitors, more than ever before, be patient in 2024 as we expect the same.

Summer 2024 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mtn. are now required due to overcrowding.

Guests will have access to the cabin itself and a private back yard with fire pit and free fire wood. The driveway is shared with our RV spot which is separated by a 9 x 16 foot wooden fence. The RV site has its own private yard and fire pit.

Other things to note
Smoking or vaping of any sort is NOT allowed anywhere on the property/site, including outside, due to the nature of this unique structure. A $500 cleaning fee will apply if evidence of smoking is found. Cigarette smoke detectors have been installed.
