The only change i would make is i would have liked a softer bed, it was very firm, and maybe adding a small gym to the property. The hotel is close to the seashore trail ( i can't recall the exact name of it but you can walk right to it from the hotel and it's a beautiful ocean front trail. Adorable 140 year old home has 2 adjoining light & airy bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Perfect for a quiet get away! It is centrally located to all that Old Orchard Beach has to offer.

The 2nd room is an adjoining bedroom with a full bed, please let me know if you will need to use it.

Shared kitchen and shared bathroom on the main level. The only resident is myself. You are welcome to use the microwave in the kitchen and store perishables in the refrigerator as long as you clean up after yourself. There is a coffee machine and hot water kettle and I do have coffee and tea (and hot chocolate) available.

Parking is on the street, on either side of my driveway. Please don't park in front of my neighbor’s house, there's plenty of room on my side :)

During the winter months, if there are large snow piles on the street, you may park in the driveway. Please remember that while the driveway will accommodate three vehicles, we will need to park smart so that we all fit :)

There’s no guest bathroom upstairs. THE WATER CLOSET UPSTAIRS IS PRIVATE. The washer and dryer are not available for guest use.

During your stay
I will meet you with a key when you arrive, unless other arrangements are made. I work full time, but I am available by text and anything you may need, I will do my best to accommodate while you are my guest. I look forward to meeting new people and helping them enjoy our fabulous town.

There are three security cameras on the exterior of the property. Two on the garage and one on the deck. The one on the deck faces the front steps. The cameras have microphones and can be used to communicate if needed.

Other things to note
Other noteworthy features include a hammock, pumpkin chair and large backyard. There is a large deck with table and chairs on the side of the house, as well as a small deck in the front flower garden with Adirondacks to relax in. There is an outdoor shower just off the back deck stairs so that rinsing off after a day at the beach is a snap. It has both hot and cold water. I have beach towels hanging on the far side of the refrigerator in the foyer for guest use. You can hang them over the deck railings to dry when you return from your adventures. These amenities are available for bookings from late May to early September.

Conveniently located between Kennebunkport's seaside communities, Cape Porpoise and Goose Rocks Beach, this charming property offers an open, inviting layout with tons of character. Our home features 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, laundry, and a newly renovated kitchen, great for cooking with the family. The cottage is tucked away on a private dirt road with plenty of outdoor space, including lounge chairs, a dining area and an outdoor shower.

The space
This private home is ideal for couples or a family. The primary bedroom features a queen bed and the secondary has two twin beds that can be made into a king, upon your request. The space boasts a comfortable living room, screened in porch, front deck, garden, and outdoor shower.

The kitchen has the essentials: a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, coffee pot, utensils, plates, pots, and pans. The perfect setup for family meals! There is also a propane gas grill should you choose to BBQ.

Southern Maine has so much to offer in every season. From beaches and lobster rolls in the summer, to skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Birding, fishing and hiking year round! The cottage is located across the road from a beautiful nature preserve with tons of hiking trails and streams running throughout.

The space
This cottage has its own parking, entry way, outdoor sitting area and faces away from the main house - giving lots of privacy in a very peaceful and clean setting. It also comes with all the amenities like center heating and cooling, washer and dryer, Wifi and Cable TV.

Parking is located behind the main house and garage facing the tree line. Spaces are marked. A short path leads from the parking area to the entry way of the cottage. Outdoor seating by the entry way is for guest use including the fire pit.

Please note this cottage is on a new well. It has a high iron content as most rural wells do in this area. One water jug will be provided. There is a gas grill with propane provided. There is a fire ring, you will need to provide your own firewood, which can be purchased in Milbridge. There is a shared driveway with the neighbors home that sits on the road. The neighbors have children, please be mindful when entering or exiting the property. This part of Maine is truly a very well kept secret. An hour away from Acadia and Bar Harbor. And an hour away from the boarder of Canada. Please see the manual of all the amazing things that are close by this precious little town. Thank you for your consideration.

Cottage in the Lane is a quiet complex of 10 cottages along the tidal marsh, just under 1 mile from Drakes Island Beach. This one-bedroom cottage has a queen bed, full kitchen, bathroom with shower, living/dining room and screened porch. Solar-heated pool (mid-June to mid-Sept.), WiFi and laundry. Each cottage has a picnic table and grill.
The property is in a tranquil setting neighboring Laudholm Farm and Rachel Carson preserves. Cottages and grounds are well-maintained, clean and comfortable.

The space
Many cottage complexes are located on the busy route 1 strip. We are off the beaten path. We offer a solar heated pool and far more green space than most. We are just under one mile to Drakes Island Beach.

The cottage is brand new on 27 acres of land 3 min to Blue Hill Mountain and 5 min to Blue Hill downtown which is right on the water of Blue Hill Bay. This is an edge wood retreat perfect for two to hear birds, squirrels and porcupines. Remember to pick some blueberries when it is in season before the black baby bears down the road eat them all. 3D nature is unfolding right in front of your eyes and Acadia National Park is a 50 min drive from here. Oh man, you are free!

A lovely comfortable cottage specially designed to call back the internal peace you have lost. A space you are inspired to redirect yourself to somewhere you supposed to be; someone you supposed to be.

Relax and enjoy island life at Red Ledge Cabin. Find serenity on our 3-acre waterfront retreat. Unplug from stress at this cozy, rustic, well-equipped summer cabin with picturesque views of the ocean harbor and coastal Maine wildlife. Buy fresh lobster at T.I.M.S. (island market). Great Wi-Fi is available at our cabin! However, we hope you go outdoors to hike, visit our library & lighthouse & museums, swim at the quarry, sit on our granite bench & deck, play buoy golf & explore island beaches.

The space
On the main level of our cabin is the living/eating area, wood stove, kitchen, bathroom and utility room. There's a large picture window facing the ocean and a pair of binoculars available for birdwatching. There is a common sleeping loft (with two queen beds and one twin bed) accessed by a sturdy ladder with handrails. There is also a queen-sized pullout couch in the main room. There are books, playing cards, board games, CD's, DVD's, and puzzles, plus you can play buoy golf, a family favorite--position buoys around the property and use putting irons and whiffle golf balls to chip your ball to hit each buoy. There's also a low deck at ground level and a high deck, which is ideal for fantastic views down harbor plus watching shooting stars at night. Go down to the pink granite ledge at water's edge, sit on our granite bench, and enjoy the ocean breezes and marine wildlife. We're just 1 block to the Odd Fellows Hall and only 3 blocks to the island market (T.I.M.S.).

Swans Island is accessible daily by a State of Maine Ferry from Bass Harbor (near Bar Harbor). Please search for the Swan's Island Ferry (Maine Department of Transportation) for the schedule and ticket pricing. This is a car and passenger ferry--a 40 minute ride. Four reservations are sold for each ferry. Otherwise, it's first come, first serve. If you miss a ferry, just relax as you'll make the next one.

Other things to note
Swans Island is dry--there is no alcohol sold on the island. Please bring any alcoholic drinks if you wish to partake. There is one store (T.I.M.S.) on the island, and it's very well stocked, but it's more affordable to bring your own groceries and drinks onto the island. T.I.M.S. is open everyday and sells fresh lobster at the lowest price, fresh pizza 2 days each week, and sticky buns and cinnamon rolls every Saturday morning. There's also a new fresh bread bakery on the island.
