It had a nice chair for reading, a spacious closet, and two nice windows to add lots of natural light. Both my room and the shared bathroom across the hall were very clean and uncluttered. Downstairs, the shared kitchen was also extremely clean and well-supplied. There is a Kurig coffee machine available in the kitchen 24/7, a full-sized refrigerator dedicated to use by guests, an extra den for guests to lounge in and watch the large TV, and an extra half-bath downstairs in case the upstairs bath is in use. The owner, Gary, is super nice and pays attention to details to make his guests comfortable. Stillwater is very close to the Schoodic pensula and other very scenic coastal areas that provided excellent photography opportunities. I plan to return with my friends and family to enjoy this beautiful area of Maine."

The space:

This historic home was built in the early 1800s and has served many purposes. What started as a single family home turned into an antique store, then converted to a rooming house, morphed into a bed and breakfast in the 1980's, and dropped the breakfast to serve VRBO guests near and far.

The location of the Inn at Park Spring cannot be beat. We are located downtown, just a half mile walk to the center of the Old Port. Our neighborhood offers you a central spot located in the heart of the arts district, on the edge of the tranquil west end neighborhood, and just a stones throw to museums, art galleries, theaters, restaurants, shops, and bars.

With just six guest rooms, our inn offers a peaceful stay, satisfying social guests or those seeking solace. Each private room, with private ensuite bath, is furnished with a queen sized bed, white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), and a mini fridge.

A Smart TV is provided should guests have their own streaming services. *no cable or streaming service is provided by the host*

Other things to note:
While the room has its own private entrance, the fenced in gravel courtyard is used as a passthrough by the resident innkeeper. You may see them in passing as they make their way to their entrance.

The Black Elephant Hostel is a very vibrant and comfortable space with unique decor. We pride ourselves on being super clean, affordable and friendly. Our LOCATION CANNOT BE BEAT! We are one block outside of Old Port and nestled among some of the finest eateries, shopping, and entertainment in Portland.

Zissou consists of two twin bunk beds. Sleeps up to 4. It is ideal for a group of friends. This is a private room with access to 2 private-style hall baths.

The space
Our hostel is a home away from home where you can kick your shoes off and relax on the couch after a long day. Our funky decor and fun vibes will leave you feeling energized and inspired. Don't forget to peruse our guestbook and add your drawing to our chalk wall before you leave!
