Located within 1,200 acres of privately owned forest and adjacent to Cardigan Mountain State Park, Cardigan Lodge is operated by the Appalachian Mountain Club, the country’s oldest recreation and conservation organization. Staying at Cardigan Lodge will provide opportunities to hike, ski, and swim out your front door. Your stay supports the AMC’s ongoing conservation efforts.

This 6-person private room holds three bunkbeds. A shared bathroom with showers is located down the hall. Bedding and towels are provided. A number of trails of varying degrees of difficulty depart from Cardigan Lodge such as the Manning Trail, Woodland Trail, Back 80 Trail and Lower Manning Trail. In the winter these trails are often tracked out and can be travelled with snowshoes. Cardigan Lodge offers tremendous backcountry skiing opportunities from the front door including the Duke Trail which was cut by the CCC in the 1930’s. Newfound Lake and Wellington State Park are a 20-minute drive away for swimming and paddling adventures. Additionally, Cardigan is a 20-minute drive from Ragged Mountain and Tenney Mountain Resorts for groomed skiing adventures in the winter.

Our staff is knowledgeable about local recreation opportunities and can point you in the right direction for hiking trips, fishing spots, ski tours and great locations to spot local flora and fauna on land and on the water. Natural history presentations are often offered on site as well.

This is a new room with two single beds and a locking door. Bath, kitchen, and living room are shared spaces. Some people will love this community arrangement while others will not. Friendly singles and couples love this arrangement. Easy self-check-in and out for late arrival with a lockbox or a host may greet you. Non-smoking & no firearms or illegal drugs allowed. The space
Attached to Air Gallery, this is within the live-in artist apartment behind the gallery. This room is an window which open to the driveway but does allow a view to the street. Uses of all common space with other guests. Street parking is available in front of the building. Ask about limited on-property parking and winter parking restriction for snow removal — additional parking across the street from the residence. The owner has an amiable cat. This place is suitable for a pleasant guest.
My place is for people looking for clean and friendly on a thrifty budget, and the beds are comfortable. I have located in the old downtown district. If you have any questions, text me first before you book.
College students and young professional single enjoy staying here as well as older folks looking for thrifty accommodations.

The place is a hostel, which means during the busy time, some guests may use the common area overnight.

There is to be no food preparation in the kitchen or the use of laundry after 8:00 pm. If you use these complementary features, you will be expected to leave them clean and tidy as you found them.

I may greet you on arrival or you may be asked to do a self-check-in to this space with a lock box. The final check will be updated via the Airbnb app. If you don't have the App on your smartphone, please consider downloading it so we can stay in touch. Others will need to request advance notice when booking so you can print instructions on your printer. Advance notice instructions will only be sent if requested.

The owner gives plenty of privacy to the guest. You'll have full access to your room 24/7 come and go as you like. I will normally greet you and show you around on check-in, but on rare occasion allow self-check-in with a lock box.
Full use of the common living area; however, there is to be no meal preparation after 7:45 PM and frying food is discouraged.
Guest booking more than one week will get linens changed weekly.
