Decor is mid-century modern with a grey and white color scheme. There was a turntable and LPs to play in the room. They supplied delicious coffee with the coffee maker. The keyless entry was very easy. Check in is on your phone, which confused us at first, but the manager was there and he was very helpful. Bed was very comfortable. It was an easy walk to the waterfront in one direction and to the Portland Museum of Art in the other. If we had a complaint, it was only that at night we could hear the hum of some HVAC unit, which was probably not even associated with the hotel and not under their control. At first we were bothered but then it became "white noise." It was a pleasure for us to stay at The Weldon Hotel."

The proprietor was a friendly source of information about things to do in the area and even got on his computer to show us details of how to find a hidden gem and drew a map for us on how to get to another recommended hike. If I ever come back to the area, I would definitely stay here again. It was our favorite stay of the whole trip."

This is a quaint farm house in a rural setting but not far from many attractions in the mid coast area. It's comfortable, warm, cozy and quiet. Close by Wiscasset, Damariscotta Lake State Park and Damariscotta village. Great restaurants and pubs, Pemaquid Point, Rockland, Camden & Augusta as well.

This is an 1825 original Homestead in the process of being brought back to life. Great location being close to many area attractions. The space
Our house is an old farmstead in the works of coming back to life. We are organic farmers who love the earth and enjoy meeting new people. We are on the main route to the ferry and cruise tours out of Port Clyde. Located on some major bike routes on the st george river. Also next door to Fort Point attraction and hiking trail. Lots of activities in a short distance.

This house is in no way handicap accessible, sorry. If you have limited mobility, this room is not for you. It is located on the second floor with a steep old set of stairs for access.
We ask that you Please not roll any suitcase up the stairs. Antique runner is easily caught in wheels
The house is heated with a wood burning stove and no ac in any room. Yet heat rises for a warm room on cold nights and the breeze is great for a summer breeze. We provide small space heaters and a fan for use.

Remember, an old farmstead with old fixtures and only two old souls doing the handyman work on her. So, she is in no way a luxury resort, and
anything can go wrong at anytime. We no longer provide WiFi access, due to very poor service. The local library is a few miles away with 24/7 powerful wifi signal.

This bedroom has a double bed and a roll out single bed underneath. Suitable for two adults and one child for a cramped space, but workable. Please be sure to schedule the Pull Out bed for the extra set up. There is an extra fee for the usage on site, as well. This bed must be reserved prior to arrival, due to the need of rearranging furniture to allow for set up.

There is an extra set up fee for requesting this slide out bed. Bed is comfortable for an adult, if needed, but not suggested.

There is a fridge, hot plates and supplies for your use. Cups and supplies for that morning rush of fluids. Coffee, tea, cream, sugar, tea kettle, coffee pot and supplies. Please be sure to clean up after yourself to allow other guests use.

Our space is the downstairs so it will be off limits. We ask that you refrained from keeping late hours or if do so, please be respectful. This is an old farmhouse and our living space is underneath your walking. So remove shoes at the door and walk softly.

Retro Maine-ia is a very unique little apartment with a retro flare to it. It is right on the road to Roque Bluffs state park, sandy ocean beach and hiking trails. It is about a mile from town. It's tucked into a quiet neighborhood with a lovely landscaped yard with sitting areas to enjoy the summer sunshine.

We have a 1 month minimum stay. The $60 per night is for a 3 month stay, a stay of anything less is $70 per night.

The space
Our units are perfect for Traveling Nurses, Doctors, Technicians, and Physical therapists. We have had many traveling professionals stay with us and they have all loved our units and have commented on how beautiful and comfortable they are. Our unit locations have also been ideal for their work needs. We've discounted our price to $60 per night to accommodate the traveling professionals during their 3 month stays. Our regular price for shorter stays is $70 per night.
We offer more than just a bed and a chair; and a kitchen to cook in.
We work very hard to make our units lovely and comfortable and a delight to stay in; a place where it will uplift your spirit to come home after a long day (or night) at work. We also put 100% into making our guests happy and to make sure they have everything they need. That's why we come in weekly to do light housekeeping and to wash towels and sheets, replace paper goods (toilet paper/paper towels) to provide a fresh, clean, bright environment to settle into and relax.
We currently have 8 exquisite units for short term leasing, and several more underway. All fully furnished with unique, stylish, homey furnishings and everything perfect for a several month stay.
Don't just tolerate any place that you think you can stand to stay in for three months, book a place that feeds your soul and makes our wonderful little town one of your best assignments.

Other things to note
Due to the very high heating cost during Maine's winters, there is a heating surcharge. The surcharge is $200 per month from Oct-April. This is just a fraction of the heating cost, but I have to charge it to help offset the higher cost of all the utilities in the winter months.

I also require a full security deposit, which will need to be paid directly to me before you can take occupancy. Even though Airbnb says they insure you, they don't really cover everything so I do require a security deposit. Of course, if there is no damage to the unit, or fees incurred, the security deposit is refundable.

I have just shy of 18 acres to roam and enjoy the wildlife! The driveway has a sign for "WilderBabe Land" once you've reached the property. The cabin will be unlocked, feel free to come on in and make it your home for your stay.

Other things to note
No Electricity and No Running Water!

• The wall does lift up and down so you can be closed in if it rains but I leave it open most of the time to allow air flow.

• There is a fire pit and two chairs available at the cabin for you to cozy up or cook your food. If you would like a wheel barrow full of firewood provided there is some available on site for a small donation.

• There is a hammock with a shade cover at the cabin for you to use.

• There is a bug net provided in the cabin if you're in need of some extra protection indoors.

• Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is a short drive with a few hiking trails.

• Baxter State Park & Acadia National Park are each an hour and a half away (just in opposite directions).

• A composting toilet is on site, with a scoop and bucket of sawdust to cover waste. If you need to pee, find a tree! If it's number two, use the loo!

• No electricity at the cabin or on the property

• No running or potable drinking water. Must bring in water.

• The cabin is quite cozy for 1-2 people and/or 1-2 fur babies. The cabin itself has an 8x10’ floor plan with a full size futon. The deck gives another 3’ to enjoy your inside/outside stay.

• The property DOES get full sun so be aware of finding shade throughout the day! I like to enjoy the river(s) and explore the area during the peak heat hours!

• Mosquitos like to come out at dusk. I do have some citronella candles but it would be best if you came prepared with bug repellent!

• There are two stores nine miles from camp, The Handy Stop and Dollar General. Howland also has a laundromat.

• There is a New tiny cabin construction on site!

• This cabin is NOT private - one dwelling is visible but it is also NOT a rental.

Seasonal Details:
WINTER CAMPING: I have bedding but I suggest you bring sleeping bags rated for sub-zero temps as the cabin is NOT insulated. You are welcome to bring a small buddy-heater with you, or, one can be available to rent. The clear panels do act as a greenhouse and the cabin can retain warmth during daylight hours.

SPRING CAMPING: We like to call this mud season. Along with that comes the emergence of blood-sucking vermin (aka mosquitos and black flies). This is Maine. Please bring repellent. There is a bug net in the cabin to put over the futon.

SUMMER CAMPING: Please see Spring Camping and then remember that there may be a total of 10 days that the temperatures may be unbearable (but the garden loves it).

Surrounded by charming cottages in the idyllic seaside community of Ocean Park, this historic 1880’s guest house sits on the town square, one block from the beach and steps away from the soda fountain, bakery, restaurant, shuffleboard, tennis courts, and library.

Accommodations are clean and comfortable yet modest, and so are the prices. Step back in time in this lovely house that has been offering an ideal location along with a unique communal living experience for generations.

The space
The Curtis is a large guesthouse with 20 bedrooms located on the second and third floors. The bedroom floors each have a sitting room with cable TV in the second floor sitting room. These floors also have shared bathroom facilities with lavatories being gender designated. One the main floor, there is a large country kitchen, two dining rooms, a large parlor and two large wraparound porches with one of them being screened.

This bedroom is on the second floor, has a twin bed, a mirrored bureau, a chair and ceiling fan. It is a corner room on the northeast side of the building, closest to the bathrooms and has one window facing the rear of the building and one facing east.

Guest access
All common spaces are shared with me and other guests. There is plenty of space for everyone.

All guests have designated space in one of three large refrigerators and access to a microwave oven, toasters, toaster oven and free morning coffee or tea, regardless of how many nights they stay.

Guests who stay 4 nights or longer also have access to the gas cooktop and an outdoor gas grill.

Washer and dryer is for STAFF USE ONLY. Laundry facilities are available 1/2 mile away. There is a Backyard Clothesline for wet towels and bathing suits.

** Guests are encouraged to use the Outdoor shower and Rear Stairway after the beach. Please do not use the front stairs when returning from the beach.

Originally my toddler son's room, but now a calm getaway for one solo adult for short trips OR monthly or weekly stays, such as travelling nurses. This room has plenty of empty shelf, wall and dresser space and I would not mind renting it monthly or even as a winter rental.

Disconnect and Reconnect in our Hidden Gem tiny house on the Back 40 Acres farm. Tucked away our houses are surrounded on a family organic farm. The property is complete with Farm Stand and blossoming flowers. A perfect sanctuary for an artist or writer, or a couple. The tiny house is a great place to get away from it all- take time away from wifi, and noise of urban life, truly connect and relax. Come enjoy and refresh in our nature haven.

The space
The hidden Gem Tiny home is A frame sleeping nook amongst the woods. Stunning views of the property and hills beyond. Wake up gazing out into the trees of the forest behind the tiny house. The bath house is located about 30 feet from the tiny house, and is equipped with a composting toilet and full (warm!) shower lined with pebbles and a window out into the forest. Fire pit, outdoor chairs and hammocks are also set up next to the cabin. Walking trails out behind cabin into the woods to the ravine, can wander gardens on property (just no picking!) No overnights from un-booked guests, and no parties please. Friends of guests are welcome to hang out during the daytime.

During the warmest summer months, the pool up at the owner's house will be available for use. The Back 40 Acres Farm is located 1 mile from Mount Vernon's town center, which sits along Lake Minnehonk, and offers a public swimming area and docks.
