Vermont has been pummeled by rain, affecting the level of the lake everywhere, so unfortunately the beach was hard to access, but not impossible. Kayaks were great, and paddles/vests was easily accessible. The owner was easy to reach. In fact at one point a smoke detector was beeping low battery and she came by to replace it within about 15 minutes! We enjoyed restaurants in St. Albans, Burlington, a bakery/cafe in Alburgh and even Shaggy's snack shack in Swanton. The pizza shop in Swanton is also quite good. Sand Bar and Alburgh Dunes state parks were great swimming spots. Next time we would love to venture over the border into Montreal."

Property has 100 feet of lake frontage. We have a new seawall and a sloping stone ramp to access the water and get to the dock. Lake access for a motor boat is just minutes from the cottage and you are welcome to tie off to the dock. We have a couple of kayaks that you may use. Make sure you arew wearing life jackets. You will also need to wear hard soled beach shoes as the shore is shale and rock. If your children like to fish, my kids have caught numerous fish right off the end of the dock, some pumpkin seeds, but then there are the 2-3 pounders every once in a while that makes it very exciting. Fishing licenses are required in Vermont. Love to hang up pictures of your catches!

St. Albans is minutes away where you will find grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants and other services. Burlington International Airport is a 25 minute drive and Montreal is approximately an hour from the cottage.

floor plan, 2 bedrooms with a queen in one and 2 twins in the other. Altogether, the cottage sleeps four comfortably. For anyone who camped as a youngster, you'll appreciate the specialness of this property. A camp with all the amenities, extremely private, with breathtaking sunsets, no two ever alike. A fisherman's delight with direct access to the lake and your own mooring. LCI Derby anyone? Crystal clear waters for swimming and plenty of beach for combing. Definitely something for everyone, and you don't have to cross a road to get there!

Wildlife abounds! We have resident herons, osprey, and even a bald eagle has landed on our railing! It is not uncommon to see a family of deer in the field or hear an owl at night. But that's all you'll hear. This is an extremely secluded piece of property, yet you are just a half mile from the main road.

There are plenty of destinations for day trips, Montreal is 1 hour north, Burlington VT is 1 hour south, the Alburgh Dunes State Park is an easy walk 1 mile away. It's a perfect area for biking and exploring. The Lake Champlain Islands are home to many festivals, attractions, and summer concerts.

Bring nothing but your clothes and food, this cottage comes fully equipped with dishes, linens and towels as well as two kayaks, a canoe, gas grill, fire pit, and large lawn for fun and games. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed. But everyone's favorite are the twin beds on the porch. Or pitch a tent in the yard -- a child's delight.

Cozy one bedroom cottage located on the shores of Lake Champlain. Nestled in tall cedars on McNeil's Bay, across from the Charlotte-Essex Ferry. You can rent a sailboat from the Charlotte Sailing Center across the bay or you can moor your shallow-draft motor boat or sailboat in a protected spot steps from the house (trailered boats can be launched at the nearby Converse Bay Fishing Access).

This house is the perfect getaway for one person or a couple. The kitchen is small but functional. You can sit inside in the living area or on the small porch reading and/or enjoying the water, look for fossils on the rocky beach, or walk or bike on the private dirt roads. 20 minutes from the Shelburne Museum, 30 minutes from Burlington, easy access to the Green Mountains or the Adirondacks via the ferry. A favorite activity of ours is to park at the ferry dock, walk on to the ferry, ride to Essex while enjoying the breeze on the lake and the views of the High Peaks of the Adirondacks, get dinner and/or ice cream, and ride home looking at Mt. Mansfield, Camels Hump, and the rest of the Green Mountains.

The Tree Tops Cottages is a small family friendly resort located on the Southern end of South Hero on a private 7+ acre property with over 920 feet of direct frontage on Lake Champlain. Originally built in the 1920's, there are only 4 privately sited cottages on the whole 7.5 acre property. Multiple generational families have been coming to Tree Tops Cottages for decades. It may be possible to rent 2, 3 or 4 cottages at the same time for a family reunion. Each unique cottage is restored in the rustic Vermont Camp style, and offers great lake views. This is not a luxury resort, rather a down home, friendly, relaxing place only 20 minutes to Burlington.
The gradual shale beach is weed free and is rare (for Lake Champlain) due to the fact that it is south facing, which affords all day sunshine and protection from cool northerly breezes. The 'Outer Malletts Bay' lake location offers warmer and calmer water than the 'Broad Lake'.
We will allow 1 pet per cottage with a surcharge.

- "We had such a great time staying in Kylie and Cody’s home on Mallets. What a fantastic location. We were happy to find a grocery store, pharmacy, and hardware store near by for anything we needed. There were plenty of sheets and towels. Kylie and Cody were excellent hosts and were really accommodating to my group. The hot tub was everyone’s favorite. Swimming was my favorite even though there were lots of clams in the water and you have to walk out to the boat moorings because it’s shallow. But the good thing about the shallow part of the lake is that it’s warm! Sunsets and stars were beautiful. The house is right off the road so there was a little noise from the cars going by but luckily it’s set down below the road which helped a little. I do wish the ad had disclosed that the reason shoes were recommended on the beach is because there is glass in the sand (not in the water, on the sand). But overall my friends, their two young kids, and me all agreed that we’d definitely stay there again. Great location, great amenities, and great hosts!!!! Thanks Kylie and Cody!"

The Queen room has a ceiling fan, 1 queen bed (linens provided) with table side lamp, wireless charging for your phone, EarPods and watch. Includes a dresser to place all your belongings and a closet with hangers to hang any outfit if needed. Also in the bedroom is a foldable portable mini crib (sheets provided). You will also find in this room the baby monitor and charger. The camera for the monitor is located in the twin room, but can be moved anywhere for your needs. The camera is connected only through Bluetooth between the monitor and camera, there is no wifi so it is a secure stream of video. Monitor can be taken outside with antenna up and out of any pockets to be able to view video of child inside the cottage.

The Twin room has a ceiling fan, dresser, closet, two twin beds (linens provided), one with a removable rail. Usually move it to the wall side of the bed. This rail is helpful for keeping young toddlers in bed who still need that crib feel but are too big for the mini crib. In the closet you will find a pack and play. On top of the dresser is a night light with remote, that casts twirling colorful stars and crescent moon on the ceiling and has music. You will also find two of the classic Berenstain Bears books. These books each have 6 books in 1!

The front living room has a ceiling fan, two reclining chairs and one full size futon (will need to bring own linens for the futon). This room also has a smart TV with streaming apps for you to sign in to your favorite streaming services. Also equipped with a DVD player and a few movies to pick from. Once sitting in the living room you will be looking directly out the three windows towards the water. Watch wildlife and beautiful sunsets most nights.

The middle living room has one full size futon (will need to bring own linens for the futon).
There are two wall lamps that are perfect for reading a book or you can simply watch out the windows towards the water.
On the wall, right outside of the twin room is hooks where you’ll find life jackets for littles. (30lbs to 50lbs)
On the same wall you will find an additional table and stools. On the opposite wall there are two windows and right above those is the heat and A/C pump provided with a remote to heat and cool down the cottage. Directly below the windows is a Rinnai heater if needed, but we find that the pump unit does an efficient job.

The Dining room has a table that seats 6 people. High chair is also provided for those little ones. Placemats provided and a hanging “chandelier” above the table.
To make this space useful in between meals there are several Board games located in the Queen room closet.

The Kitchen is completely stocked with plates, bowls, silverware, glasses, utensils, bakeware, you name it!
Directly across from the stove is our coffee bar! Equipped with a Keurig that has three cup size modes. K-cups provided (Breakfast blend and dark roast).
Full size fridge and freezer. Inside the fridge you will find a brita filter, although the water is perfectly fine to drink from the tap, we understand some desires for that additional filtration. Inside the freezer are ice cube trays and a bin to hold ice cubes.
Above the stove you will find various spices to cook with.
The Microwave is to the right of the stove.
Plenty of storage for your food you wish to bring with you. The deep double sink is situated looking out towards the big back yard. Most mornings you can find wildlife (some to included, deer and rabbits).

The bathroom has a single stand up shower (no tub) with a shower head/wand. The wand has a pause feature on it so it is simple to wash up the kiddos. Also located in this bathroom is a stacked washer and dryer. Laundry pods and dryer sheets provided.
Directly underneath the sink is a first aid kit, extra toiletry supplies and a hair dryer.
Towels and washcloths are located in the linen closet right outside of the bathroom to the left.

The back deck can be accessed directly out from the kitchen, you can find a patio set that seats 6 people, several umbrellas to provide shade and two sun loungers.
There is a propane grill provided for all your grilling needs! Grilling utensils are located in the kitchen.
The back deck also has two exits down to the side yards.

The front yard has a gradual slope down to the water. No cliffs or stairs!! 115ft of water frontage and a 60ft aluminum dock for your fishing pleasures! Four fishing poles and a simply stocked tackle box located inside the cottage.
There is also a peddle boat that can seat up to 4 people, available for use (upon request). Also in the front yard to the left of the boat launch is a fire pit. You may use the fire pit when it’s not too windy and I please ask that you do not create large bonfires, please put the flames out when going in for the night.
The dock is for small boats. There is usually 4.5-5ft of water towards the end of the dock. Depending on the height of the lake level the dock may be on the higher end out of the water. The lake level can vary from day to day and sometimes can be challenging when docking a boat. There is a boat launch on the property just to the right of the fire pit. If having troubles launching onsite there is a public launch approximately 1/2 mile up the road on Bridge Road.

One small issue is there in no wifi, we didnt care about the tv but it is hard to keep track of business while staying here. I can not understand why there is no wifi, we have stayed at places that offered alot less than this location, but they still offered wifi. They need to put in lamps or lights in the living room it is hard to read when you do not have adequate lighting. All in all we will stay there again and stay longer next time. We loved this place."

A huge dining room seats 10 for big family events. The family room has won the award for the largest sectional sofa in town.

A stroll down a grass path and over a dirt road and you will be at the lakefront. There is a small boathouse to keep your food and drinks, a huge dock, and a place to tie up your boat. The lake allows motor boats, but no annoying jet skis. There is a nice family of loons that hang out at the dock to keep you entertained.

The front deck is being torn out and a new stone patio is being built in front of the home which should be completed by July 1.

Come and experience the peace and tranquility of our West Rupert cottage set on the grounds of Oronacah equestrian. Oronacah offers equestrian short term stabling as well if you would like to bring your own horse to accompany. We are tucked away off a well maintained dirt road but still just 20 minutes from Dorset with its inns, restaurants, theatre (seasonal) and annual horse show; and 25 minutes from Manchester with a wide range of designer shopping outlets, restaurants, skiing, and cultural events. We are at a 1500' elevation so from about mid November through March a 4WD would be a very good idea.

4-Stall Barn – Spacious, well-ventilated stalls, and easy access.
2 Paddocks – Secure turnout options for your horses.
Equine Facilities include large outdoor arena, indoor arena 80'By 180', round pen, x-c fields and extensive trails.

Our house is set up for a maximum of six guest. A guest is considered any person beyond age two. In a very rare circumstance if more than 6 stay in the house the extra charge of $40 per person, per night will be charged.

Located on Lake Champlain, this cottage has spectacular partial lake and sunset views. Perfect for relaxing, reading a good book, fishing, water sports, golfing, and also to use as a home base for fun day trips. Enjoy the beautiful lake, the Alburgh Sand Dunes State Park, the Alburgh Golf Links and St. Anne's Shrine and the ancient coral reefs.

Dogs are welcome, but require Owner approval and payment of a $85 per dog per trip fee, maximum of 2 dogs.

The space
The cottage is newly renovated, clean, and bright. It is on the back row of cottages, so the lake view is between the cottages on the front row. There is a sunset photo included in this listing that shows the view towards the lake. We also manage the rental cottages on the front, so if you are interested in one of those they are also listed here on AirBnB.

The deck is a great place to enjoy a drink and food while taking in the beautiful western lake view, sunsets and birds. We have seen bald eagles, osprey, hummingbirds, red tail hawks, and numerous other birds. On a clear night, star gazing is amazing. There are shared BBQ Grill stations on the site; each has a gas grill and picnic table for grilling and eating. We also have a fire pit on the beach and kayaks for guests to use.

Guest access
You will have access to the shared waterfront that is a short walk (about 300 feet) down the road to the path or stairs that lead down to the water. There you will find a shale waterfront with a dock that you can use for swimming, sunning (we have a couple of lounge chairs down there) or fishing (some nice fish have been caught from our dock). There is a boat mooring ball available upon request (no tying up boats to dock). Some of our guests have hunted for fossils in the rocks on the beach and had great luck.

You also can explore the 35 acres of meadows that are part of the property. We have walking trails cut in the grass when it gets too tall, before it is mowed for hay in July or August, so you can take a nice walk in this meadow and enjoy the wildlife and field views.

You will have access to a shared gas grill and picnic table near your cottage and a common lawn area with usually 4 Adirondack chairs and a hammock. It is a beautiful place to sit in the summer under a shade tree and enjoy the scenery.

The Cottage is located in historic East Poultney next to the old Poultney schoolhouse (now historical society). Just over 1 mile to the town of Poultney. The sidewalk starts (or ends how you look at it) in front of the cottage which leads to town. Great for a walk or bike ride. Pico, Killington and Bromley Mountains all less than an hour drive. Plentiful fishing and boating opportunities. 3 miles to Lake St Catherine, under 10 miles to Lake Bomoseen. Slate Valley bike trails surround the area.

The space
2 bedroom, 1 bath lakefront cottage. The cozy living room looks out onto the lake with TV and WIFI. It sleeps up to 7. It has a very nice screened in porch sitting area. It has a nice yard and bugs are minimal.

We offer Stage 1 electric vehicle charging for an extra charge. We also offer kayak rentals for an extra charge. Ask for details.

Guest access
Upon renting you will have the whole cottage, parking, use of the yard, use of the beach (depending on water height) and use of the dock.

The shed and mechanical door are not accessible.

Other things to note
Cottage is very accessible for handicap and elders. Parking is very close to the entrance. Entrance contains only two small steps into cottage. Cottage is one level. Previous elderly guests have been very happy. Check out our reviews.

The historic “Smithy" at Consider Bardwell Farm is the original building used for blacksmithing by Consider Bardwell, himself, in the 1800s. Complete with brand-new, architect-designed kitchen and bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, and stone patio for outdoor grilling and dining, the Smithy is beautiful inside and out. Enjoy meeting our goats and all the local goodies and products that we can stock in your cottage.

The space
Consider Bardwell Farm was the first cheese making co-op in Vermont and at one time The Smithy was described as the "cheese storage" house! View the original stenciled initials CSB on the interior wall that was painted by Consider Stebbins Bardwell himself.

Guest access
Guests will be able to roam the farm and surrounding rural trails and roads. For your safety, guests are not permitted to enter the barns.

Other things to note
We can prepare a "welcome" cheese plate with three local cheeses, local crackers or bread, jams for dipping cheese, berries, nuts, and salami -- all for $65, if ordered in advance. Also, you can let us know if you'd like us to have some local goodies in The Smithy fridge when you arrive.

Finally, great news, we had water that smelled of sulfur due to the rocky ledge under our soil, and now it has been cleared of all sulfur odor!

The space
This historic post-and-beam home offers three cozy bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, perfect for a relaxing retreat.

On the first floor, you'll find a convenient double bedroom and half bath—ideal for anyone who prefers to avoid stairs. Drop your things in the roomy closet, then head into the spacious kitchen, which features plenty of counter space and an island. The kitchen flows seamlessly into a dining room with comfortable seating for six, and the cozy living room with its stone fireplace is the perfect spot to curl up after a day on the slopes.

Upstairs, you’ll find a newly updated full bathroom with a jetted soaking tub and shower, plus a full-size washer and dryer. The queen-sized primary bedroom lets you drift off to the soothing sound of the river, while the front bedroom with two memory foam twin beds offers a lovely view of the trees.

Outside, the large back deck is perfect for grilling or relaxing, rain or shine, thanks to the screened-in porch. The spacious lawn provides plenty of room for games, or simply relaxing around the fire pit and soaking in the tranquility.

The property adjoins Big Falls State Park, giving you direct access to swimming, canoeing, kayaking, or paddleboarding. Just 15 minutes from Jay Peak, you’re close to some of the best skiing in the East, as well as a water park, movie theater, hiking trails, golf, and a climbing wall. The Canadian border is only 7 minutes away, and you're just 35 minutes from the scenic Abbaye de Saint-Benoît-du-Lac and other landmarks featured in the "Three Pines" novels. Newport's lakefront downtown and Walmart are less than 30 minutes away.

This cute, country cottage offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bath with a treehouse loft in the bunk room. The floors are wood, kitchen is custom built with stainless steel appliances, bathroom vanity is custom built using the original kitchen sink from the home, and the twin size bunks are built in as well. There is a very large yard. There are 4 ski resorts within 20 minutes, the Weston Country Store and play house are 5 minutes up the road, and you can walk to the local farmers market every Saturday.

The space
The cottage is ideal for a couple or small family. It is close to town, has a large yard, and sits back about 300 feet from Route 100. There is a large yard with an outdoor fire pit for relaxing at night.

We are not a Airbnb corporation, but we live down the road, and the home you are renting was our first home. We were raising our 3 children (family of 5) there up until 3 years ago. It may blow your mind when you see the 850 sq.ft. of space that 5 of us were living there. I joke we started the tiny house trend, but it was what we could afford. We remodel it ourselves and have many fond memories there so we don't want to part with it, and sharing our home with others through airbnb seems like the best avenue.

Located on Lake Champlain, this cottage has spectacular lake and sunset views. Perfect for relaxing, fishing, water sports, golfing, and also to use as a home base for fun day trips. Enjoy the sunroom which overlooks the beautiful lake, the nearby Alburgh Sand Dunes State Park and Alburgh Golf Links, and St. Anne's Shrine and the ancient coral reefs on Isle LaMotte.

Dogs are welcome, but require Owner approval and payment of a pet fee per dog per trip fee, maximum of 2 dogs.

The space
You will have complete use of the entire cottage. It is a stand-alone residence and will be yours for your entire stay. This cottage includes a sunny living room with six large windows which allow a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. There is a tile shower that is very spacious, kitchen appliances, including a dishwasher, cabinets and countertops. The kitchen has basic necessities and includes some spices and other items needed for cooking a delicious meal. There is a washer and dryer in your cottage.

There are Adirondack-style chairs on the deck outside for sitting and enjoying the sun, breeze and view. The deck is a great place to enjoy a drink and food while taking in the beautiful western lake view, sunsets and birds. We have seen bald eagles, osprey, hummingbirds, red tail hawks, and numerous other birds. On a clear night, star gazing is amazing. There are shared BBQ Grill stations on the site; each has a gas grill and picnic table for grilling and eating. We also have a fire pit on the beach and kayaks for guests to use.

Guest access
You will have access to the shared waterfront that is a short walk (about 300 feet) down the road to the path or stairs that lead down to the water. There you will find a shale waterfront with a dock that you can use for swimming, sunning (we have a couple of lounge chairs down there) or fishing (some nice fish have been caught from our dock). There is a boat mooring ball available upon request (no tying up boats to dock). Some of our guests have hunted for fossils in the rocks on the beach and had great luck.

You also can explore the 35 acres of meadows that are part of the property. We have walking trails cut in the grass when it gets too tall, before it is mowed for hay in July or August, so you can take a nice walk in this meadow and enjoy the wildlife and field views.

You will have access to a shared gas grill and picnic table near your cottage and a common lawn area with usually 4 Adirondack chairs and a hammock. It is a beautiful place to sit in the summer under a shade tree and enjoy the scenery.

The cottage is on a well, the water could have a strong smell and taste. We recommend to bring water bottles.

This is a pet friendly cottage and the backyard is fully fenced for your peace of mind! We only ask that you be respectful and not let your dogs on the furniture (beds, couch etc)
