- "Falling asleep to the bubbling water flowing behind the chalet was awesome. Very clean, too, my only recommendation would be to take care of the cobwebs above the sofa and in the crevasses. The kitchen was well-equipped but could use maybe some Tupperware for food storage / packing lunches for day trips for those that fly in with only carryons. Camp Road Getaway is a great place for the outdoor enthusiast.... and when it is time to come indoors, you will find all the comforts of home. The spacious kitchen is open to the living room area with cathedral ceilings and plenty of windows to enjoy the view. A large deck off the kitchen with a picnic table and grills. The loft Master bedroom suite has a queen bed and a full bath. A second bedroom on the main floor features a queen bed. Additional full bath is conveniently located near the bedroom and living area. Lower level family room features cozy, radiant heated tile floors, and a queen-size futon.. Ground-level easy access to enter/exit via double doors. There is a TV on each of the three floors.

Relax with the family or families at our peaceful Chalet Getaway. Located just 4 miles from Jay Peak Resort & Golf Course. Enjoy our beautiful well maintained Vacation Home that has 5 bedrooms, 3 baths and a large open social area. There is a separate game room with TV & foosball for the kids. In the summer there is a pool, disc golf course, a park and a tennis/pickle ball court in our plan for your use. The Jay Peak/Montgomery Center, Vermont area has incredible restaurants & something for All.
The space
There is a large area for guests to socialize including a beautiful gas fireplace, if adults & children want to enjoy separate areas it is easy to do as there is an area for the children to play foosball, watch TV or hook up their video games. We are located just 4 miles from Jay Peak Resort & Golf Course that includes an incredible indoor water park. There are several unique restaurants within 4 to 5 miles that all have a variety of foods and all are delicious. There are trails everywhere for the hikers or the novice walker. Included in our housing development is a play ground, disc golf, tennis court & shared pool, they are located centrally in our plan for easy access.

Guests are welcome to use our entire Vacation Home, we do have a couple cabinets that are secured with our personal property inside. Guests have full access to the Pool, Tennis court, Disc Golf, Play ground & all trails.
Other things to note
There is an abundance of books and DVD movies available. If you want to enjoy a cocktail or your favorite wine, there are all the glasses & tools available to do so. We have 2 fridges so there is plenty of room to keep beverages cold.

- "Dean communicated very well throughout our stay. Prior to our arrival he sent information about how to get into the rental, heating instructions, house rules, garbage, and wifi. I found this information to be very useful. The house has a smaller kitchen, but larger bedrooms and living room. Bathrooms were clean, hot water, and fireplaces worked great. Wifi was a little spotty at times, but could have been our devices or the high number of devices on the network. Very close to Jay and there are a few small restaurants nearby. It snowed 8-10 inches when we were there which made the roads around the house and driveway difficult if you did not have AWD/4WD. I would recommend this house to anyone going to Jay Peak. "

- Leash Policy: Pets must be kept on a leash at all times when outside the house and within common areas of the property.
- Waste Disposal: Owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up after their pets, both indoors and outdoors. Please dispose of waste in the designated outdoor trash bins.
- Furniture & Bedding: Please do not allow pets on furniture or beds. If your pet typically uses furniture, please bring protective covers or blankets to place over our furnishings.
- Noise Control: Please ensure your pet's barking or noise is kept to a minimum, especially during quiet hours (e.g 10 PM - 8 AM) to respect our neighbors.
- No Unattended Pets: Pets should not be left unattended in the house unless they are crated. If you leave the property, your pet must accompany you or be safely crated.
- Damage Responsibility: Pet owners are fully responsible for any and all damages caused by their pet(s) to the property, furnishings, or landscaping. Any additional cleaning required beyond normal wear and tear will be charged to the guest.
- Flea & Tick Prevention: For the health and comfort of all, please ensure your pet is up-to-date on flea and tick prevention treatments.
- Designated Pet Areas: Please keep pets off any areas not designated for guest use (e.g specific garden beds, neighbor's yards).
- No Pets in Bathrooms: For hygiene reasons, please keep pets out of bathrooms.
- Excessive Hair/Odor: While we expect some pet hair, excessive amounts or strong odors that require special cleaning may incur an additional cleaning fee.

Guests are responsible for any excessive pet related cleaning or damages. If we discover that your fur family came and is not on the reservation, there will be an additional charge of 50% more than the original pet fee. This is in effect because our cleaning crew comes prepared for the reservation and does not pack their kits for animal stays if they are not on the reservation, creating extra time and travel to get the unit ready for the next guest. Thank you for your understanding!

Close to some of the best skiing, hiking, and biking in the state. Just 15 minutes to Mad River Glen ski area. 25 minutes to Sugarbush Resort and the Mad River Valley. The Long Trail is a 6 mile drive to the top of the Appalachian Gap. Close to Middlebury (30 mins) and Burlington (40 mins). The quaint town of Bristol is only a 10 minute drive. Located among the trees on a quiet, dead-end country road. Sweeping views of Camels Hump and Sugarbush mountains are a short walk down the road.

Cozy and comfortable. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath classic a-frame has been fully renovated with all new appliances (including a dishwasher), new hardwood flooring, updated bathroom, and new beds and linens. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare delicious meals. New heat and air conditioning systems will keep you comfortable in any temperature.

The 1st floor bedroom has a new queen bed. The upstairs enclosed loft has 2 new single beds that can be converted to a king bed upon request. (Steep ladder stairs leading to the loft make it unsuitable for young children and people with mobility concerns).

The A-frame is perfect for a romantic getaway, as a base to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities, or an escape to the woods for rest and relaxation.

The first stop of this tour is directly in the living room. Of course, you won't want to stay inside when you see what's offered outside, but if you do, you can enjoy a peaceful night in the comfortable living space watching Game Of Thrones, The Bachelor, or whatever you prefer. And right behind you is the kitchen for your late-night snack or early pancake breakfast; we'll leave that one up to you.

Next are the 7 bedrooms you get to choose from, and whichever one you choose, know you are going to be comfortable. Alone, with your kids, and even with your partner, you will have space for what you need, and if not, throw them in a different bedroom because we have plenty to share with you!

After you're done being lazy in bed, you have many options to choose from. First, I would recommend going for a little stroll to the stream in the backyard, which is the most calming atmosphere you can find in the US. It might sound crazy that there is more to offer, but there are Bar & Grills, bakeries, and coffee places within a couple of miles of this place, so you won't run out of places to go if you decide to leave the fortress.

Who doesn't love s'mores? I know I do, and would you look at that we have a firepit for you and the friends/family right off the patio stairs. Personally, I prefer to put Reeses in my s'mores, but you can buy Hershey's in there too. I'm just telling you what's better.

Also, if you forgot your shampoo and conditioner, we got some extras. We also have individually wrapped toothbrushes, razors and qtips in the even you forgot to pack them! You can use these right after you get out of the sauna because we all know that's what you need to end the adventurous day. And to do so, all you have to do is hit that reserve button.

- "Even before we left for our vacation, our Host Heather was amazing. She would contact me to make sure we had everything we needed beforehand to make sure our week went flawless. She was so quick to respond to any questions I had. When we pulled into the private driveway, we were greeted with a forest of beautiful evergreen trees that surrounded the property. Then, we opened the door and found this amazing beautiful pristine house. This is one of the cleanest homes I have ever stayed at. Heather thought of everything and we lacked for nothing. Just listening to the little babbling brook on the property and looking at the trees was the most peace and relaxation anyone could hope for. There were two fire pits on the property and we used the one nearest to the house, there was plenty of cut wood available for our use. The other fire pit was down a cleared path thru the woods and right by the water and although we did not make a fire, we sat around it just to listen to the water or go wading. We were private and secluded but not isolated, there were some great restaurants in the area and some antique shops, and we took many walks and saw some horses down the road on a farm. Our dogs loved this house and their outside time and our family couldn’t have asked for anything better. It was such a pleasure staying here and we were so sad to leave. Here you will experience a full sensory immersion in nature while simultaneously enjoying all the comforts of a custom built luxury home. The SY House derives its name from the Japanese expression Shinrin-yoku, which directly translates to "forest bathing... A practice of therapeutic relaxation where one spends time in a forest or natural atmosphere, focusing on sensory engagement to connect with nature." The essence of this house is nature.

Features that make this house a super rare find:

The black siding on the exterior of the house is called Sho Sugi Ban… It is a Japanese cedar sourced from Forrests right outside Kyoto that has been charred and then hand brushed to achieve the burnt look. It is an excellently durable siding that can last 80 years- that’s why seaside houses in Japan regularly use it.

The floors: The floors are made from an 80ft maple tree that was standing right behind the house- you can see the giant stump from the door by the driveway. The owner and 4 local people handmade the floors. The tree was dying and had to be taken down so it was used for the floors. The whole process was upwards of 75 labor hours.

The Beams on the ceiling in the kitchen: The owner handmade those from a dying ash tree that stood where the building currently is.

The counters: the owner handmade them from a local VT black walnut.

The bed frame: Handmade by the owner from local VT Oak.

The Bathroom: over 100 hours to complete. Made from a substance called tadelakt which originates from Morocco. Basically a lime plaster that must be layered over and over. All done by the owner and a friend.

The Sauna: fully handmade and custom design. All the rafters were individually curved to achieve the curved pagoda style roof. All the cedar that comprises the sauna was sourced from Japan.

The coffee table was handmade by the owner from oak beams that once held up a local barn that was built in 1820.

Take over the Inn! The Birch Ridge is available for your group or family to rent as one entire ski lodge. We can sleep up to 28 people in our 11 rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms (some with gas fireplaces & jacuzzi tubs). Most rooms feature a king or queen bed, but we have two family rooms with queen beds & twin over full bunk beds, and one two-floor loft suite with queen bed, sofa bed & kitchenette. In addition to the rooms, you'll have full run of the house which includes an amazing renovated A-frame Great Room with lounge & bar, dining room with pool table, large entryway & sitting area with games & flat screen TV. One additional half bathroom completes the property. The commercial kitchen is available for guests, or you may hire a private chef for your stay & they can takeover the kitchen & dining room too! Located right on the main road in Killington, you're 1.6 miles to the base & can walk to the Sunup bakery for breakfast or The Wobbly Barn for dinner & nightlife. You can even catch the shuttle to the mountain on the main road! The charming covered carriageway makes this a true Vermont experience & doubles as a place to park your cars in the event of a snowstorm! Two large outdoor hot tubs are available for soaking your sore muscles after a day on the slopes. Our event space next to the property is a tented area with tables and chairs and available to rent separately during the spring, summer and fall. The outdoor patio in front of the Great Room is a great place to relax in front of one of our fire tables. You will not forget your stay at The Birch Ridge!

The Birch Ridge common areas were renovated in Winter 2023 and feature an amazing A-frame Great Room with full bar area, 12' shuffleboard table, coffee station with Keurig machines, microwave, water cooler, beautiful gas fireplace, streaming TV, receiver with surround speakers, high-top tables, comfy sofas, swivel chairs and bar stools. There's plenty of room for your entire group to gather together after a day on the slopes and create your own bar scene! The entryway is the perfect place to take off your boots and hang your coats, while our outside ski storage provides a safe spot to store your gear. The sitting area provides another small gathering place with streaming TV and games, plus a half bathroom. An elevator provides accessible access to the second floor should you need it (key required). Behind the bar, you have a True bar back refrigerator with lots of room for beverages or snacks, second beverage cooler, dishwasher (coming soon), bar sink, wash basin and glassware. You can also get all the ice you need from our commercial ice machine. Outside is our new patio complete with lots of outdoor seating, fire tables and gorgeous mountain views.

The dining room in the second A-frame structure features tables and chairs with seating for 20, plus a pool table, 75' smart TV and sofa. Head out the door to the front patio, and you'll find one of the two hot tubs along with a gas barbecue grill. The full commercial kitchen at the back of the dining room is available to guests. Due to the commercial setup of the kitchen we request that guests confirm use of that area with us before booking and sign a waiver for its use.

We have gigabit Wifi through the property with a mesh network that provides a strong signal everywhere. The common ares also feature Synexis devices which fights viruses, bacteria, mold and odors using an innovative dry hydrogen peroxide technology. Our parking lot is large and will accommodate around 20 cars. The carriageway (covered bridge) up to the property may be used to park cars inside during snowstorms to keep them snow free. We also have a side road up to the property for larger vehicles. We have two EV chargers onsite.

The property is not staffed. We will clean prior to your arrival and after your departure. Access codes to our smart locks for contactless check in and check out will be provided.

Next to the property is our large tented event space with tables and chairs. This area is available in the spring, summer and fall for an additional rental fee. Please note that a separate event fee applies for any events to be held on property - whether in the event tent or inside the property. Any such events must be disclosed and agreed upon in advance of booking.

• Our minimum rental age is 25.
• An event fee will apply to any special events held at the property and must be disclosed and agreed upon prior to booking. The tented event space is available for a separate rental fee in the spring, summer and fall.
• We will provide you with door codes for our smart locks for contactless check in and out. There are smart locks on the main door and all room doors.
• We have some flexibility around our standard check in and check out times depending on other bookings. Guaranteed early check in or late check out may be available for an additional charge.
• Our entire property is non-smoking (e-cigs included). You may only smoke outside and 75-feet away from the building. There is a $1500 fine for smoking in the property.

The lower-level has 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom, as well as a mud room where you can stash your gear. Each bedroom has pine tongue-and-groove ceilings and space to store your things. The first bedroom has a queen bed and lots of windows, the second has a king bed (split-king) and wrap-around windows, and the third has a bunk bed (two twin beds). The bathroom is roomy with a large shower and a brand-new washer and dryer.

Outside you'll find multiple areas to sit and take in Vermont's beauty. Off of the main level is a large wrap-around cedar deck, one side is tucked in among the trees, which makes it a great place to hide out in the shade, while the other side gets full sun. There is a ground-level deck where you can grill and a fire pit where you can roast marshmallows. During winter months, after the leaves have fallen, you can get a sneak peek of Mount Snow from the side of the house.

The driveway has ample parking (4 cars) and a 50-amp (14-50 style -- see photos) plug is ready to charge up your electric vehicle for your next adventure down Vermont's winding dirt roads.

The house is officially situated on one acre but we back up to national park land so feel free to roam the backwoods for as long as your legs can sustain you. The home and grounds are available for your enjoyment!

Ski Resorts • Mt Snow ski resort is a 1 mile drive or The Moover is Dover’s free shuttle service (weekends and holidays) that brings you directly to and from the mountain during the winter season. Additionally, there is a private groomed ski-home trail from Mt Snow that comes to Bears Crossing. Stratton ski resort is a 25 minute drive from the house.

Hiking • The Green Mountain National Forest is a great place to hike around and explore Haystack Mountain Trail. The Harriman Reservoir is a short 30 minute drive and is a great place to enjoy kayaking and lakeshore hiking.

The Club House • The community features a heated outdoor pool (summer season only) to enjoy those great Vermont summers as well as a BBQ area and fire pit on the upper deck.

The Woodward Haus is an architectural dream, framed with wood, glass and stone. The floor to ceiling slate fireplace is the centerpiece of the home. The new propane heating keeps the place more than comfortable, so the fireplace is really just for ambiance. We offer an impressive record album collection to satisfy any mood your in. Plenty of board games and books stock the shelves.

One king sized bedroom, one queen bedroom and on the lower floor, 9 bunks in 2 bedrooms. This is great for families, friend reunions and your own personal retreat. We matched the 1971 style of the house with vintage original and modern classic furniture.

Enjoy our unique spacious open Mountain House. We love it and I'm sure you will too. Spectacular views from all windows, especially the master bedroom.
Take in Chuck's artistic craftsman ship, a combination of function and form. Snowflake photos taken at the house as well as many wooden items, several from trees on our property.

In the interest of keeping our home nice we do require prior positive reviews, we don't accept pets, we do not allow parties or uncontrolled behvior.
No shoes in the house and food and beverages is to stay in the kitchen, dining living room area.

The house is very private with a bedroom on each floor as well as extra space for sleeping on futons or air mattresses.
There is an extra room behind the master bedroom, to use as an extra bedroom or to have younger children stay close to their parents while maintaining some privacy.
There is a game room in the basement, a converted ping pong table, air-hockey, bin of Legos, a cupboard of games and puzzles, as well as books.

In the main room there is a stereo with a record player and a plethora of records - You may need to teach the younger folks what it its!
The house is nestled up against the ski slope allowing for ski in and ski out for both downhill -to the lower lift and Cross Country, as well as snowshoeing and sledding. There is usually great snow at Bolton due to its higher elevation compared to other resorts in Vermont, the In bounds, and backcountry are great!

The non snow months abound with hiking, biking, disc golf and exploration or just sitting next to one of our 2 streams.
Down the mountain is public acces to the Bolton Pot Holes, a much loved local gem for swimming on a hot day or just hanging out to whatch others cliff jump, or wade into the shallows.

The Bolton Valley All Access Lift Ticket not only gives the ticket holder access to the lifts for the day but it also includes access to 100km of Nordic and backcountry terrain and the Sports Center with pool, hot tub, sauna and games for the kids. All of which can be accessed separately for a fee. Now offering indoor tennis and pickleball.

The house is close to The Ponds a perfect wedding venue.

We are well situated for those that come for the beer. In the middle to Stowe, Waterbury and Burlington all with great microbreweries

The Botlon Access road and our driveway are steep and difficult in the winter, although we have a lower flat parking area as a back up, awheel and snow tires make the drive much easier. There is a bucket and shovel with a gravel/salt mixture in the garage. If there has been 6 inches of snow or more we will either snow blow or arrange for a plow. A shovel will be by the front door and in the garage so that guests can shovel the front porch. It is the guest's responcabiltity to keep the furnace vent and emergency egresses free of snow.

Experience nature at this peaceful mountain retreat. World class skiing at Mt Snow is just 14 minutes away. After a day of outdoor activities enjoy a relaxing time in front of the fireplace. This cozy chalet boasts exposed wood beams and wood paneling all throughout the house. You will wake up in the master bedroom with views of the woods. Rooms are heated by individual baseboard heaters. An efficient pellet stove is in the living room. “Coolidge Retreat” 5 bedroom secluded Chalet on a 5 acres of hilly forest land with a Hot tub (w/ a separate service fee). Located in Historical Plymouth VT, between both resorts 20 min. in either direction (10 min. to Killington Skyship Gondola). 5 min. to Snowmobile tours, 9 min. to Long Trial Brewery, 2 min. to Plymouth Artesian Cheese factory & Calvin Coolidge Homestead Historic site. Also lots of lakes in the area with swimming, boating, and fishing. Canoe available for a $60 fee.

3 floor Chalet w/ large wrap around deck. Each floor has a full bathroom. Kitchen is setup with all major appliences (fridge, dishwasher, gas range and oven), including Nespresso VertuoLine Machine (pods not included) & milk frother, drip coffee machine, toaster oven, toaster and hot water boiler. We never leave left overs or items that will spoil and it is up to each tenant to decide if they want to share these items or not. Ecobee smart thermostats with Alexa command through out the house. Please be aware that any state-specific travel restrictions and quarantines are the responsibility of the tenant/guest and refunds will not be issued due to these guidelines except for the standard Airbnb cancelation policies they have and put in due to the pandemic.

Skiing and Snowboarding at 2 of Vermonts best ski areas (Killington and Okemo) both with 10-15 minutes in either direction.

In the summer both mountains have lots of fun activities set up as well as many other fun and amazing things to do in the area.

5 min. away at Amherst Lake I have a canoe stationed which guests can use for a $60 fee.

After Booking I will sending you a Guide Book on all activities and recommendations, along with the house manual, info and door keypad access code as well as the hot tub lock code if booked.

Other things to note
All guests please read the the house rules, especially with the mandatory check out chores. Your cooperation helps ensure the cleaning person can complete the clean in time for the next guests arrival and not risking extra cleaning fee.

During peak season (winter ski months December through March), all weekends and Holidays there is a 7 guest minimum. This is the way the house makes most of its income because it’s primarily meant for larger groups. If you still want the place but are less than 7, I would have to apply the extra guest rate of $35 per person per night after the booking is confirmed to meet the minimum for peak months.

If any groups wish to add more people to stay after the booking was made, please inform the owner so he can send you a payment request as there is an additional fee per person per night of $35. The base price is based on 4 guests. This information is better know sooner than later as the cleaner needs to know what to expect as the work load increases, especially on days that have same day check ins.

No pets allowed during peak season (winter ski months December through March), all weekends and Holidays. If you have a service animal, the certification must be provided and cleared before hand.

Hot Tub use requires a one time amenity service fee of $250. This lets you use the hot tub during your whole stay. I have the hot tub fully emptied, cleaned and refilled with fresh water as well as adding the necessary chemicals between each group of guests to ensure that the hot tub is perfectly clean and sanitary for them. I do not profit from this fee at all. The other option is Killington which has 2 spas with hot tubs but they charge around $30 or more for each guest per day.

Also dish cleaning is done by guests checking out with the dishwasher, that being said the cleaners job is to take everything out of the dishwasher and put back in place, therefore there is no guarantee how well clean the appearance will be as some guest maybe have not rinsed the items well enough before placing them in the dish washer and we can’t be held responsible for that. The same goes with the barbecue grill outside as guests are responsible for that the cleaner does not go through the steps of checking the grill either. Lastly we can’t guarantee how clean the outdoor furniture is as we can’t control the outside elements at all time. Please be considerate with these facts when putting in your review.

Lastly as mentioned house being in the middle of nature please understand that you may come across little critters and insects and as much as we strive to have pests under control there is no perfect way of dealing with this. If you have any issues during your stay please contact the owner or property manager so we can address the issue in timely matter and not mention this after your stay.

Welcome to our Sanctuary. Where peace and tranquillity awaits you. Our idyllic Vermont house is in the middle of 39 acres of pine forests offering great privacy. The supersized kitchen allows for multiple cooks to share on culinary pleasures. Relax after a long day of skiing in front of the large fireplace in the cozy living room or read a book in the library/TV room. Enjoy the sounds of the year round stream while you walk the grounds sipping a cup of coffee. Come and enjoy Vermont at its best!

The space
In our 5000+ square feet home, your family and friends will have plenty of space to relax, and enjoy without feeling crowded. Our eat in kitchen is huge! Tons of storage, every small appliance imaginable as well as free use of our well stocked spice rack. The dinning room comfortably accommodates 12 people. The cozy living room seats 7-8 people. In the same floor the family room has a huge book collection that we are happy to share with you during your stay. We have the fastest WiFi available in Vermont. The 65 inch TV in the library will keep every body entertained with every movie and sports channel imaginable. If your family is into board games we can offer you puzzles, trivia games, poker table etc, etc. We recently added a game room with a 82 inch tv. Perfect for a big group that includes children. The adults can watch tv in one room while the kids watch in the other. We also have an outdoor hot tub.
We are dog people so we are happy to welcome your well behave four legged friend.
For those with mobility issues the master bedroom is in the main floor, the master bathtub has handles and we can offer a shower stool if needed. The hallways are extra wide and could easily accommodate a scooter or a wheelchair.

Guest access
Our house is conveniently located 12 minutes from the killington Skyeship gondola, 18 minutes from Okemo ski resort in ludlow and only 10 minutes from the quintessential Vermont town of Woodstock.

Other things to note
No more than 10 guest allowed per stay.
Our house is equipped with a backup / standby generator that kicks in automatically when there is a power outage.

This house is not a dedicated rental home. It is our family vacation home and we are happy to share with others. We have decorated and outfit it according to our family needs and taste.We love to cook, read, play games, ski, golf and watch sports but most of all we enjoy spending time together. We hope that you find it as cozy and relaxing as we do and that you look after it as if it was your own.
