This recently renovated, quiet getaway is nestled on a secluded, wooded lot in the Sky Valley Community, which features shared swimming platforms, a fishing pond, and a basketball court. At Camp Will, you'll also enjoy a private hot tub, a stone gas fireplace, an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, a wrap-around deck with a Weber grill, and firepit table. Take in the beautiful views of the natural surroundings and wildlife! There's even a Ping-Pong table and a foosball table.

This home was recently and thoughtfully updated: the entire home was repainted, new plank flooring was installed in the living and dining room along with a new gas fireplace and area rugs, and new modern and comfortable living room/basement furniture and decor purchased. Other updates include new stainless steel appliances, a new central air system, a propane heat system, a new generator and dehumidifier, new lighting, and new fixtures and grab bars in the bathrooms.

The home is located a short walk - about half a mile - from Deep Creek Lake for boating, tubing, waterskiing, and swimming. Enjoy hiking and biking around Maryland's largest lake. Thousand Acres Golf Club is less than a mile and a half away. Wisp Resort is just a short drive away, where you can ski, snowboard, ride the Mountain Coaster, and try out the ropes courses. Test your skills on the white water rafting course at Adventure Sports Center International on the mountaintop. Plus, enjoy many dining options, shops, cinemas, and miniature golf - all within a short drive.

(A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

'LAKE EFFECT' is our lakefront vacation home at Deep Creek. Our family vacationed at the lake for 20 years. We loved it so much we bought our own lakefront home.
Just a short boat or car ride to the main areas of the lake while keeping a quiet family friendly vibe in the lakefront lot and community. Everything you need for a great visit to the lake is available onsite.

The space
'LAKE EFFECT' is a cedar sided three level lakefront chalet. Formally listed as 3 bedroom, 2 bath -- but we also have a loft with twin sleeper and a lower level with 'sleeping nook' (we can't call it a bedroom by lake rules). The nook has a queen and a full with its own HD TV and en suite full bath.
The upper level has two bedrooms, one queen, one king and a full bath separating the two bedrooms. Queen bedroom has a 32' HD TV; King has a 36" unit and a separate walkout to private deck facing the lake - a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee, read a book or stare at the stars over the lake. Separate ductless a/c units ensure individual comfort in each bedroom.
The main Level includes one bedroom with a King, 36" TV and a separate walkout to the main deck. Another full bath on this level plus fully outfitted kitchen - just bring your spices, condiments and beverages, everything else for food prep is provided. The dining area separates the kitchen and great room and flows nicely between all of the spaces on this floor.
The adjacent Great room is a massive open space featuring cathedral ceiling bounded by all glass from floor to ceiling that opens to the main deck and the lake! Oversized sectional with 55' HD Smart TV situated nearby the toasty wood-burning fireplace - for those sundays in the fall/winter when a football game on the big screen is in order.
The lower level also includes separate walkout deck area plus a newly-finished family room with another flat panel LED, DVD, music dock and game room with professional pool table.
Around the corner from the game room/family room is the sleeping nock highlighted previously. Separate from each is the newly finished laundry room that includes a wash sink and ample space for hanging your clothes and sporting gear after a day on the lake or slopes.
Walkout from the family room and you'll experience the true 'Lake Effect' when you take five steps into the top of the line Hot Springs hot tub overlooking the lake front and fire-pit.
Main level deck features all high-end Kingston outdoor furnishings and seating for 12 and a gas grill for your outdoor bbq pleasure!
Lakefront is gently sloping with a mix of just enough white oaks to add some shade and ample light to let you work on your tan in the lakefront seating areas or enjoy smores in the fire-pit!
Quiet neighborhood with safe no-traffic wooded roads for walking, biking or taking your favorite pup for a stroll. Picnic table with private dock just a few steps away highlights the waterfront features and completes the 'Lake Effect' at our home!

Bracken Lodge is a custom-built log home with over 4,000 sq ft of finished living and entertaining space. The logs were dead standing timber that were repurposed as part of a salvage program from Yellowstone National Park in Montana. Every spruce log was transported east and then hand-hewn and set to create this luxurious unique vacation retreat. Named for the ferns that abound in the adjacent wildflower meadow and forest understory, Bracken lodge is truly one-of-a-kind.
The space
Bracken Lodge sits on 30 acres of forest, meadow, and amazing open space – with mile-long views to the peaks of Meadow Mountain. Privacy abounds and luxury awaits. The private and secluded outdoor space marries to a superbly appointed interior for a wonderful place to lay your head, lift your feet and enjoy the beauty of Deep Creek!
The interior features five bedrooms, including four en-suite baths and a luxurious jetted tub on the main floor. The 5th bedroom features four singles - two in bunk form. Additional beds available in two pullout sofas (one on lower level and one in the loft). The living space is open, bright & perfect for family gatherings – with all the essentials for gourmet meal prep and entertaining.
A three-zone gas heat and central air conditioning system ensures comfort to each living and sleeping area and a tankless gas water heater provides endless hot water throughout the home. A wood burning fireplace warms the main floor and a gas hearth adds heat and ambience to the game room and walkout basement. The lower level game room includes a tournament style pool table, foosball and easy access to the remarkable stamped patio with a top of the line Hot Springs hot tub!
The upper deck features a Weber gas grill and comfortable deck chairs to enjoy the views in the meadow or the remarkable skyline. Smart TV’s throughout the entire home are supported by high speed internet and a separate loft work space provides a luxurious and comfortable ‘telework zone’. In addition to the wireless tech, all of the living spaces and outdoor deck areas are linked to a wired home speaker system that allows guests to synch their Bluetooth device and enjoy their favorite music in any of the living spaces in or out of the home.
Guests are also afforded use of a dock slip for those who bring their own power boat or the common lake access area just a few hundred yards downhill from the home. Launch your kayak, canoe or paddleboard in the serene no-wake cove on Deep Creek Lake. Enjoy birding or fishing in the cove then have a lake shore picnic at the adjacent picnic area. Miles of traffic-free trails and gravel roads make for great biking and hiking for those who are looking to stay active on vacation and the photographers in the group will find the light and wildlife surrounding this mountain retreat irresistible.
Although you’re only 15 minutes to the main lake area, this home is in a remote location on several steep roads and with a steep entrance drive so 4WD or AWD is required anytime snow is a potential factor. But if you are looking for a one-of-a-kind home in a uniquely private and secluded location, Bracken Lodge is for you!
Other things to note
You will have the entire home to yourself. Detached garage is not available to guests but the home and the 30 acre forest and trail system are private and exclusive to our guests.
Dock slip is available Memorial Day to Labor Day - it is slip number 12 at the community slip area. If you plan to use the slip please alert us in advance so we can offer 'tips' and instructions on accessing the slip and parking area.
