Good fish and chips place beside us and they were very helpful for us. However there were some things lacking. There is no information for you when you enter. We had no hot water until our friendly Chipbuddy neighbours showed us how to turn it on. Yes you can have 12 people stay but some of the beds were NOT comfortable and so those should be thrown out as I felt the springs the entire night. The large holiday home comes with stunning views of Strangford Lough and Castle Ward (Winterfel Castle in Games of Thrones) from upper windows. DUFF HOUSE – HOUSE RULES

We will do our utmost to make your stay as memorable and exceptional as possible. There are a few rules of the house in place for your guidance.

It is important for you to be aware we live in a quiet, residential neighbourhood, and it is critical for our vacation rental not to interfere with the neighbour’s rights of quiet enjoyment.

1. NOISE. No noise outside and no excessive noise inside after 10.00PM, Please close all windows, doors, and curtains.

2. PARTIES/EVENTS. Parties and events are not permitted at the house, without pre-approval. If approval is granted guests agree to abide by noise and other restrictions. An event charge may be levied to cover extra waste/cleaning. These events are for the people staying in the house and extra guests are not permitted, as we have limited parking.

3. SOUND EQUIPMENT: We supply a Bluetooth speaker in the pool room and a soundbar in the cinema room. Guests are not permitted to bring additional sound equipment without owner’s consent.

4. WASTE. Recycling waste must be sorted by guests into separate bins/bags provided by hosts. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.

5. HEATING. Heating is set to come on automatically in morning, afternoon and evening. There is a boost button if it get cold. Please do not switch the settings to All Day or 24 hour as it will result in wasted oil, which may result in extra charges.

6. HOT TUB. The Hot Tub turns off at 9.30PM and resumes at 9.00AM. The cost is £150 for the first night and £50 per night thereafter. No glassware or bottles are allowed in the hot tub area, and plastic and aluminium cups have been provided. Children under 12 should not enter hot tub, unless temperature less than 35 degrees, and are supervised at all times.

7. SMOKING. Smoking is not permitted inside the house. It is permitted outside the back door, as long as noise restrictions not breached. E cigarettes can be smoked in the pool room only.

8. PETS. Pets are permitted, but there will be a pet cleaning charge if there is a need for any extra cleaning.

9. POOL TABLE. Please keep pool table covered at all times, when not in use.

10. LIGHTS. Please turn off all lights and plug boxes before leaving the house.

11. KEYS. Please leave keys on the kitchen counter when departing, and close all doors behind you.
