It was perfect for us with multiple bedrooms and full bathrooms, family room with Smart TV, well-equipped kitchen (although we mostly ordered takeout from local restaurants), and great outdoor space right on the tee box of the 4th hole. Even though the patio didn’t get a lot of sun, we had fun spending time out there first thing in the morning with our coffee watching and chatting with the golfers, and at the end of the day with our wine watching the sunset. The community pools (one on every corner), were well-kept and not crowded. We had a WiFi issue, but Scott was quick to assist. Along with reverse osmosis filtered drinking water at the kitchen sink and refrigerator. The wet bar with seating for three offers a spot to sip a glass of wine and chat with the chef. The adjacent dining room has a round table seating up to eight people. Or head out to the six-person table for a poolside al fresco meal.

A den just off the kitchen looks out over the pool/spa and firepit, and features a sofa with pull-out temperpedic queen bed and a hightop table for two — great for meals or enjoying a cup of coffee — and a 32 inch Roku TV that swivels for entertainment while you’re cooking, eating or relaxing.

In the evening, settle into the living room for music and conversation. On cool nights, the wraparound gas fireplace adds a warm ambience. Choose a book from the collection — or opt for a movie from the extensive DVD library on the 65-inch flat screen Smart TV and find a comfortable spot on the all-reclining leather sofa set.

The resort style, completely private backyard is sure to be your favorite spot. Chat around the fire pit, grill dinner on the barbecue, lounge in several seating areas or use the outdoor stone countertop to eat or drink near the pool. The beautiful new desert landscaping surrounding the house also offers walking paths, a front yard lounge with firepit and oversized umbrella if you need shade. Sit and have coffee and watch the humming birds or enjoy the mountain views and amazing sunsets. The yards are made completely private by surrounding walls of ficus trees — feel free to sunbathe and relax in complete privacy — and lit up at night by landscape lighting throughout.

The master suite sits alone on one side of the home and features a four-poster king bed, workout equipment including a NordicTrack Elliptical, desk to set up office, a 43 inch flat screen Roku TV & DVD, and black-out curtains for those who want to sleep the days away. A sliding glass door leads to the backyard and pool. The en-suite bathroom has a dual-sink vanity, walk-in shower, and an oversized soaking tub with views to the garden, another sliding glass door also leads to the pool.

The second en-suite bedroom has an attached bathroom and features a luxury queen bed and 55 inch flat screen Roku TV & DVD. The attached guest bathroom has a spacious vanity and a tub/shower combination.

Through French doors off the living room, you’ll find the third bedroom, featuring a queen-sized upholstered bed, oversized windows overlooking the landscaped courtyard and a 32-inch Roku TV.

There is also a half bathroom located off the living area.

Guest amenities include complimentary high-speed WI-FI, cable TV, and a washer/dryer. Up to three cars can park in the driveway. No garage access.

The pool can be heated for additional charge. There is a $400 allowance for utilities which will not cover pool heat in cooler months but will normally cover spa heating. If you don't want pool heat, let Megan know and the Pool Fee will be taken off.

There is a refundable $1500 utility deposit (listed as Electricity Fee) for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays. Renters are allowed $400 in utility credit, anything above that is taken from the deposit.

The home is tucked in a quiet, upscale neighborhood in the heart of the Rancho Mirage in the Tamarisk County Club neighborhood. Get your groceries at Gelsons, three minutes away, and enjoy the shops at The River, a nearby shopping mall. The Rancho Mirage Library/Observatory and the Children's Discovery Museum are just a few minutes away.

You are just twenty minutes from downtown Palm Springs, where you can enjoy museums, shopping, and first-class dining. For a hip, modern breakfast and lunch spot, try Cheekys Palm Springs -- the bacon flights are not to be missed. Or for a romantic dinner in a nostalgic setting, check out Copleys on Palm Canyon, part of the former Cary Grant Estate.

For nature lovers, the nearby Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will whisk you to the top of Mt. San Jacinto, and Joshua Tree National Park is only a 40-minute drive. Play a round of golf at a course or try your luck at the casino.

- Commercial vehicles and recreational vehicles (motor homes, campers, converted trucks, etc.) are not allowed to be parked, stored, kept, constructed, repaired or maintained anywhere on the property except for loading and unloading and must be removed within 24 hours per HOA rules. Boats and/or boat trailers are not allowed on the property.

- Post stay housekeeping is for four hours. Any additional time needed will be charged to the guest in half hour increments at $90hr. Guest paid mid-cleanings are available if you would like cleaning performed during your stay.

- A vacation rental agreement must be completed before arrival and guests are required to provide a copy of their driver’s license at check-in.

The bar area is located between the great room and the dining area with seating for five. No spices, condiments, or oils are provided. The game area features a 65-inch Samsung Smart television, seating for eight, and a shuffleboard table. The office is located across from the game area and features a desk, seating for four, and built-in shelves with board games in front of a natural gas fireplace.

- "We booked this property for a month in March 2024 for our family of 4. The best part of this property by far was the backyard pool and lounging area. Amazing! The home was a new build and was comfortable for 4 people. My complaint would be with communicating with Louisa and her staff. She responded quickly when we were booking but once we got to the property it took days to get a response from her team. I have been home for 2 1/2 months and still don’t have my damage deposit back. I would have definitely rented this property again but will not because of the lack of or slow communication throughout our stay and frustration of not getting the money that Louisa said we are owed. I held back on submitting this review for a reasonable amount of time to give Louisa a chance to make this right. Unfortunately I am still waiting."

BACKYARD

The Desert Sun Estate is truly a luxury resort - everything you need is right here. You will feel like you are at your own private 5-star hotel at a fraction of the price!

This property is over 1/2 an acre; you have incredible sun all day long and amazing sunsets! We relocated the old pool and installed a large 15x35 ft. salt-water pool with a 13x8 ft spa. Spend the day lounging in the pool on one of our Frontgate pool floats or have a drink (acrylic drink-ware only!) on one of the 8 chaise chairs. The tanning shelf in the pool is only 12-inches deep - perfect for letting little ones splash around or for cooling off while getting a great tan! Imagine reading a book on one of 8 Restoration Hardware iron chaise lounges while the kids play in the pool! After you go for a hike in the nearby Santa Rosa Mountains, come back and have a relaxing spa to soothe your muscles! The heating of the pool is an extra charge.

You can sit around the outdoor fireplace and sip your favorite cocktail! The professional landscape lighting provides the perfect ambiance for spending your evening outdoors!

Family game night is a favorite at our homes, Monopoly, Scrabble or Foosball keeps everyone engaged.

OUTDOOR KITCHEN/DINING

You will love the enormous outdoor kitchen with a natural gas barbecue and searing grill. Dine outdoors 365 days/year as the outdoor dining area and kitchen is covered. The extra-large dining table seats 10.

The main living area of the house is an open concept; it's exactly the configuration you want for a vacation home. Once you walk through the front door the panoramic view through the 3 -16’ slider windows will take your breath away. The living room has the most comfortable Restoration Hardware deep-seat sofas! You can relax, turn on the gas fireplace and watch a movie on the 75” HDTV.

The Restoration Hardware extended Dining Table and French linen chairs seats 8.

KITCHEN

The Kitchen has all new cabinetry, a 10-foot island and new quartz white counter tops with a suite of Viking appliances. This is a chefs kitchen. The whole family can cook a meal together! It is fully stocked with every small appliance and utensil you could ever need to cook a large family meal.

BEDROOMS/BATHROOMS

There are 4 king bedrooms all with very large attached bathrooms. Two of the king bedrooms have soaker tubs, double sinks and have direct access to the outdoor pool area. All 4 bedrooms have pillow-top extra plush mattresses, large closets, flat-screen HDTVs, luxury European linens and beautiful furnishings and décor.

UTILITIES:
Utilities are charged upon consumption. A utilities deposit of $3,000 will be held on guests credit card. Consumption charges are billed at the per diem rate from the current utilities cost, without mark-up. Owners will provide utilities bill to guest showing total guest consumption and rates to be paid. With advance written notification, the pool can be heated upon the request of Renter, hot tub heat is controlled via a remote at the property.
