About The CREW Cabin

The CREW cabin is a pet free cottage that is located on Stones Lake which is only a short drive to the village of Calabogie, Ontario.

Main Floor

You will walk into an open concept kitchen and living area with vaulted ceilings and large windows overlooking the lake. We offer a fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities to help you feel right at home (a full list of the kitchen supplies is below). Appliances include a fridge/ freezer, stove, toaster, drip coffee maker, blender, kettle, microwave and dishwasher. The dining area looks out over the lake and seats 6 people comfortably. Both the kitchen and living room have glass doors that lead to the deck that spans the length of the entire cottage. Enjoy the large comfy couch in the main living room that allows for the perfect Netflix and Chill night as you cozy in to watch TV on the 55' TV. Right off the main living room is the main floor bathroom and master bedroom.

Bedrooms

The CREW cabin has three bedrooms, each bedroom has a queen size bed in it. Our cabin has a maximum capacity of 6 occupants. The master bedroom is located on the main floor, it has sliding glass doors leading to the porch, a queen size bed, bedside tables, and a dresser to store your belongings.

Bedroom 2 and 3 are located downstairs.

Lower Level - Entertainment Section

The walkout lower level has two bedrooms, a full bathroom and a second living room for the kids to escape to. In the living room, there is a second comfy couch, another 55" TV with Netflix, books, games. It is surely a space the kids can call their own! For those who need to work while staying at the CREW cabin, there is a desk set up for you as well.

Bathrooms

Both levels of the cottage have a full bathroom. Each bathroom has a toilet, sink, vanity and shower. Bath towels (one per guest) are provided. We ask that you bring your own beach towels.

Waterfront

We recommend entering the water from the end of the dock ONLY.

The lake has excellent fishing, especially if you're looking to catch some bass or pike. These can be caught right off the dock, make sure you have a fishing license! Remember to check out when the free family fishing weekends are! There is one kayak for your use, but remember to bring your own lifejackets!

Our Farm house sits on 135 acres of land. Some pasture and some bush. The farmhouse bungalow has two bedrooms, open kitchen and Livingroom and a 3 piece bathroom. A large front porch to enjoy your morning coffee or BBQ Dinner.

Relax and watch the cows pasture in the farm field out front. Or take a stroll thru the fields or trails.

If you are looking for a getaway either to binge watch tv or read a great novel, or even catch up on some office work, this is your place.

Wood stove is ready for the winter nights and the master bed overlooks the farm field for those lazy morning should you decide to remain in bed.

Not everything was perfect but our hosts Jose and Steve were available at a moments notice. They remedied the issues and let us know what needed to be addressed. Guests enjoy being steps away from White Lake. It is a shallow bay (4-6ft) in this area. Head through the narrows for deeper water. This rustic cottage has all your basic needs to enjoy a comfortable stay. Guests comment on beautiful sunsets and sun rises if they are early birds. Try Kayaking, canoeing. Kids love the freedom of exploring in the pedal boats. We have had nice catches right off the dock cat fish, small mouth bass and kids squeal when they catch sun fish and baby perch . There is a boat launch, museum and gardens (The Waba Museum) approximately 500 ft. from our property which is great for a nice scenic stroll. The Ottawa Valley has something for everyone: restaurants, corner store/LCBO with gas bar, a park, public beaches and a church all within 5 minutes of the property. Visit the White Lake Park in the summer for some baseball or fun on the play structure; in the Winter for an outdoor skate or some hockey. For your skiing enjoyment, Mount Pakenham and Calabogie Peaks are approximately 23 minutes away. There is a private beach, play structure, fishing, pedal boat, canoe, 2 kayaks and dock located on our property for your enjoyment. These items are shared between our cottages. Our cottage rentals are on the north end of White Lake and are conveniently located approximately 45 minutes west of Kanata / Ottawa. We are also situated between the towns of Renfrew and Arnprior. Both towns are 15 minutes in either direction if you require shopping at large box stores.

It offers exceptional fishing all year round where the bite is always on. Enjoy locking on to rod bending bass during the summer, or if you prefer winter fishing, the lake has plenty of pickeral/walleye and pike.
If it's exercise you seek, strap on your cross country skis or snowshoes and enjoy the peace and serenity of cottage country.
The snowmobile trail is 500 meters away from the cottage (Route 108), allowing you hours of trail riding.

Driving to it is not a problem in the summer months. During the winter you may require 4 wheel drive or most of our guests just walk in as it’s only a minute walk from behind our Log home.

Wood stove will keep you warm during the winter months and large screened windows will keep you cool in the summer.

Two newly built bunkies right on a quiet, private lake sleeps 6 people total. One cabin with a loft (2 twin beds upstairs and a queen bed downstairs) and second cabin with kitchen (queen bed). Kitchen is fully stocked with full sized fridge, hot plate, microwave, table and chairs. Full bathroom with flush toilet, vanity, and shower is accessible by boardwalk just steps from your cabin door.

Private screened in gazebo for outdoor dining with large table and seating for 6 people. Gas BBQ and private fire pit right outside your door! Bunkies are accessed from your own private driveway with room for 2-3 vehicles.

Enjoy the beautiful, serene lake with 2 kayaks, 1 paddle board and small fishing boat with electric motor available for your use at no extra cost. Sit by the fire in the evening and enjoy the beautiful sunsets! Peace and tranquility in a private setting.

You are only 15 minutes from the town of Renfrew where you will find great restaurants, grocery stores, and local shopping. Bonnechere Caves, museums, Mennonite vegetable stands and other Renfrew County towns all within close driving distance. All of this only 1 hr from Ottawa!

Our farm cottage at the Gulleyfarm dairy is rented out to guests who are looking for a getaway on the country site. The farm is beautifully located at the forestry shore of the Bonnechère River. Astonishing hike possibilities on our property, creeks, forest and river shore. Wide views, lots of wildlife. Where ice cream comes from? Ask for a farm tour. Cabin and camper located on a nice lake with small beach area. Sitting areas, firepit, BBQ, 2 kayaks. Cabin includes kitchen, table, and wood stove. No cooking stove. Non-potable lake water is used in the cabin and camper. Drinking water from well is provided. Outhouse used for #1 & 2's (a portable loo is available in the camper for night time #1's). Downtown Renfrew 15mins, box stores 20min, Parliament Hill Ottawa 1h30mins drive. Local friendly dog visits likely. Note lake has zebra mussels therefore water shoes are recommended if walking out in the water. A floating pontoon (no motor) is used to pull yourself out to deeper waters. Rental is weekly only. Security/Safety

Our fully equipped yurt is located 10 minutes from Arnprior along the Madawaska River. The yurt provides almost 700sqft of open space with 14 foot ceiling in the centre. Beautiful wide plank pine floors make for a warm rustic feel. The tinted dome provides ample light and a lovely glimpse of the sky. The yurt has 8 large windows and the dome opens as well for great airflow and a camping feel. We also have a pellet stove for chilly nights/mornings. The kitchen is equipped with toaster oven, 2 burner induction plate, Cuisinart panini, and a plethora of other amenities. The night time toilet closet has a camp toilet and there is a nearby outhouse and outdoor shower. A 200m walk will get you down to the river edge where you'll find an upper and lower deck with ample seating and a large floating dock nestled in a picturesque setting. You find this part of the river to be exceptionally quiet. Paddle boards and amateur fishing gear are available for your use. Feel free to bring your own water toys.

Other amenities include badminton/volleyball set, outdoor dart board, bbq, large picnic table, fire pit, extra outdoor chairs.

A very important feature is that our beds and all of our furniture are very comfortable! You will be drawn outside to experience the upper deck, complete with covered outdoor kitchen, bbq and sitting areas, under a cooling canopy of towering pine trees and overlooking picturesque Jeffrey Lake. Take the gradual stairway down to the sprawling lower deck, outfitted with multiple shaded seating options, a fire table, a tiki hut with its own propane grill and of course, the legendary water slide! You will be delighted to learn that the water is 10 feet deep off the dock, perfect for mom’s graceful dives and dad’s cannonballs! Enjoy access to the stand up paddle boards that you can take out to explore the lake. Lounge, swim, paddle, fish (fantastic fishing!) and more, under full days of sunshine, and gorgeous evening sunsets. Come make some lifelong memories at the lake with your people. You’ll be glad you did!

Cozy and quiet cottage on Stones Lake, Calabogie. Have a swim and then suntan on our beautiful sandy beach or read a book in our shaded seating area under a cluster of maple trees. Fish off our dock then have a BBQ dinner on our deck overlooking the water before sitting around a roaring campfire into the night. Cottage is completely renovated with new appliances and furnished beautifully. It’s air conditioned to keep you nice and cool in the summer and there is a brand new wood stove to keep you comfy warm in the winter. Our guests love how quiet our cottage is with no visible neighbours on either side of us and no cottages across the lake. We look forward to hosting you!
