- "This home nicely provides space for about 6 people very comfortably (although my husband and I enjoyed it as a getaway for the two of us). It’s an absolutely charming hundred year old home, updated for modern comfort. The area is beautiful to explore (state parks and covered bridges). A few things the owner could do (but didn’t take away from the enjoyment of our stay): see if the sink in the full bathroom could drain better, add some rugs and wall decor to add warmth and coziness. Overall this was a great place to stay!"

This beautiful lakefront A-Frame has been totally remodeled from head to toe with new appliances and amenities for rentals. Beautiful view in a protected cove on the North side of the lake. There are 2 bedrooms plus 1 loft and 2 full bathrooms. There are 2 spacious outdoor deck areas, 1 off the main floor and 1 outside the completely finished lower level.
Everything in this house is brand new in 2017. Raccoon Lake is a reservoir managed by the Army Core of Engineers. As a result the water levels tend to fluctuate in the early and later parts of summer. The lake begins to drain around the covered bridge festival (Mid October) and our cove has no water in it after the lake is drained below summer pool. Nevertheless, this area is stunning in the fall and winter time. In the early season, the dock can be under water. We have mooring posts for the boat on shore (also available for rental) when this is the situation.
During the summer season, we do minimum 4 day rentals. Contact me directly if you are interested, otherwise, choose from available dates on the calendar for a 2 night minimum stay!
Pontoon Rental Available for $195/day or $745/week. Pontoon is a 21ft crestliner
- "My teen/young adult kids and I stayed here with my parents for my daughter’s graduation weekend at DePauw. It was perfect! We had beautiful weather and spent time on the decks and out in the pontoon. Lower lever was great for the teens w comfy furniture and a big TV. We prepared meals at the house almost every time, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The decor is top notch as well. Our only small complaints were that the grill was really dirty and we had to burn a ton of grease off of it to use it (it worked fine after we did that) and the deck furniture was really dirty and we had to hose it off before sitting on it. That being said, we’d stay here again! Highly recommend."

- "What a great little historic house! I love Indiana's historic little towns and Rockville is one of them. The house is beautiful, and I love that it's been decorated to match the time period. Beautiful. And so close to everything. The neighborhood was so wonderfully quiet and seemed extremely safe! We were able to walk to dinner and then do a little shopping in the square. We loved the little additions like k cups for coffee and popcorn. The linens were sparkling fresh and the house smelled really nice. - "We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. The house was perfect. Super clean, relaxing, and everything we needed. The host was very helpful. We will definitely be back again." - "Great location for Turkey Run State Park on Raccoon Lake. Good value for money. Responsive host. Would stay again." - "Cabin was nice. We had wifi which was very nice and we used the Roku TV. Kitchen had pots pans and plenty to cook with. No dishwasher, but that’s okay! Bathroom is on the first floor with bedrooms upstairs, so a little less convenient for bathroom use in the middle of the night and showering/ dressing in your bedroom, but overall everything was nicely updated and decorated. Stairs were steep. Cabin was close to turkey run and Rockville shops. The lake entrance is a little hard to get to, down lots of steps, not great to swim at that spot. The cabin is not as secluded as you would think from the photos - the neighbors are very close by and there are no curtains in almost any of the windows (master bedroom is the only one with curtains). Not a whole lot of privacy. We were still able to have a campfire and enjoy the outdoors. "

This lovely farm house has been in our family for over 100 years. We saved the original hardwood plank flooring, molding and old farmhouse charm. The farm house has three upstairs bedrooms: The Rose Room, which has a day bed and a queen size bed, The Railroad Room with a full size bed, and The Red Barn Room with a king size bed with an adjoined bonus room that holds a twin and a trundle bed. There are also two futons if extra sleeping space is needed, a large gathering room, family room, kitchen, laundry room, and covered back porch. We recently had to take down some of the surrounding tress and are in the process of replanting. Turkey Run State Park is 5 miles away and also 10 miles away from the town square of Rockville.
Wake up, enjoy your morning coffee (from our in house coffee bar) on the screened in porch as the sun glistens across the lake water. It is truly a beautiful sight!
Our two bedroom, two and a half bath cottage is a great retreat away from your busy life. Whether you come in the summer and enjoy the screened in porch or in the winter and snuggle up near the gas fireplace, you are sure to enjoy yourself immensely.
Our cottage sits on the water, five minutes drive time from Raccoon Lake SRA, twenty minutes from Turkey Run State Park, and twenty five minutes from Shades State Park.
