We used the house as a base to explore the nearby towns and surfing beaches. Our favorite town and beach of the whole region was San Vicente itself. In San Vicente there are breathtaking views at every turn. The local beach is spectacular and has great surfing and a good selection of surf shops providing board rentals. And Oyambre beach is also just 10 minutes drive along a coastal road with spectacular views. We found the restaurants in the town to be great - and very reasonably priced. The house itself is perfect. It is exactly as pictured except that the views are even more stunning in person. There are 180 degree views over the surfing beach, the harbor, the town and the mountains. The view is so spectacular it seems unreal. It was wonderful to sit on the terrace with a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening and take in the view. Encarna and her husband were wonderful hosts - very warm and welcoming and very responsive to texts etc. All in all a fantastic stay! I would definitely come back."
