A magnificent sunrise every morning, a surfing beach with shallow water all the way out so safe for little kids in the water, looking over the beach from the patio and a 100 yard walk down on to the beach. We drove 20 minutes to kayak on the river cena one day, we headed into the picos and did a 5 hour walk from the fuente de cable car in a day, and if you run out of basics, the campsite nearby has a small but useful supermarket. LAS GARZAS DE OYAMBRE are 4 charming rural flats, called Águila Pescadora (I), Martín Pescador (2), Ánade Real (3) and Garza Real (4), with capacity for 4, 4, 3 and 5 people, respectively, opened in August 2020.

They are located in the Oyambre Natural Park, in a rustic and remote area, opposite the mouth of the Gandarilla River, in the Pombo marsh, where you can enjoy the peace and nature in a protected environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the population centres, but barely five minutes by car from San Vicente de La Barquera.

- "We stayed 4 nights with our labrador dog and had a perfect stay. The appartement is new and clean. The terras is big and had nice chairs and also relax chairs. Our dog had a great time; there is also à nice medow where dogs can play and where you can sit. Martin is very helpfull with all information you need. The place is very quiet and we enjoyed the nature very much. You can make beautiful walks. We also recomend to go to the beach where they do allow dogs and where they have nice drinks and food at the El pajaro amarillo."
