We found the underground parking a great plus as parking can be difficult in Sao Martinho do Porto. An elevator leads from underground parking to your door. Balcony is bigger than it looks on the photos, you can easily dry laundry and beach stuff. The area is quiet and you walk under ten minutes to the beach. The property is perfectly maintained and has a wonderful atmosphere. The interior is luxuriously furnished and in excellent condition. There’s a big sun terrace/patio and private pool and a garden for your own use and convenience. Plenty of garden furniture is provided. Most bedrooms have private bathrooms and TV with satellite reception. Hairdryer, towels - everything available. All rooms have WiFi . Beach towels you'll find in the pavilon together with beach parasols, and beach toys. At night you can relax at the fireplace in the living room or you can have an outside candlelight dinner at the spacious dinner table in the beautiful patio. - "We had a wonderful stay at Casa Estrella. We were two families with 4 children ranging from 1-5 years old and we stayed for a month. In my opinion, the house is better than it shows in the pictures. Lot of really unique pieces of art (most of which we had to put out of reach of little hands). It is really well equipped. It literally had everything we needed- lots of living space, a fully equipped kitchen and Felicia provided high chair and 2 cots. We were worried about the property not having air con but actually it wasn't really a problem. It got hot in the attic but we didn't really sleep up there. There are a couple of windows/sky lights that dont have black out blinds. If you have a Gro blind, take it and it should work fine. The pool was perfect for our kids. The fact that its heated, is a game changer. It meant that they could spend the morning/ afternoon playing in there. Felicia is a wonderful host. Communication was excellent before and throughout our stay. Anytime we a problem we contacted her or Andre. Andre and his family help with the maintainence of the property and they couldn't be more lovely or helpful. His son even took my parents back to the airport, and charge less than a taxi. It's about a 20-25 minute walk into the town/ beach and there's a really lovely coffee shop/ bakery about 15 minutes, with good coffee, nice treats and really reasonable prices. Sao Martinho is a really lovely town. If we were to return, we would love to stay with Felicia."
