- "See above" - "Family stayed for two nights. Staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Alberto the "Captain" of Hotel Poseidon whose hospitality was excellent. The Hotel is just steps from the beach. The breakfast was very good (overlooking the outdoor pool). We had a maintenance issue with the stove in our unit and it was promptly fixed. Air conditioning was excellent. The building and facilities are older, but clean and well-maintained. There is a 24-hour grocery store a few minutes' walk from the hotel. My suggestion to management regarding the breakfast plates and glasses — when they are washed in a dishwasher along with dishes that have eggs on them an unpleasant smell is transferred to other dishes especially glasses and cups. It would be best if you wash items that served eggs separately. Thank you."

Owing to the time of year (early May), we didn't swim but did enjoy a stroll along the sandy beach. The room was clean with plenty of room and a comfortable bed. Sadly, the restaurant was closed for evening meals (out of season) but the continental breakfast was excellent. Terracina is a pleasant seaside resort in the south of the Lazio region, between Rome and Naples. It was an important port on the Roman Appian Way, and the site of a major temple to Jupiter. Nowadays the modern town spreads out on the plain below the hills, along a wide sandy beach which attracts many summer visitors.
The modern part of Terracina is pleasant, with wide tree-lined boulevards leading to the beach west of the port. The sea and the sand are the town's main attraction for many of its Italian summer visitors. Ferries depart from the port for the Pontine Islands. A boat-lined canal leads to the harbour from the old bus station area, passing the fish-hall where crates are loaded with fresh fish, and wizened old salts sit and chat on a terrace.
For more charm and historical interest, however, head for the Centro Storico, the old part of town. The heart of historical Terracina is Piazza del Municipio, a pretty piazza containing paving stones from the Roman Forum, a crumbling archway, the town cathedral, the headquarters of the town council and the archaeological museum. Terracina is reachable from Rome or from Naples and can be managed as a day trip from either city.The town does have its own railway station on a branch line, but it's only served by a couple of train services every day. If you are relying on public transport, you will find the frequent Cotral bus services more useful. For a speedier and more comfortable journey, however, the best method is to combine rail and bus travel. First you should take a train to Monte S. Biagio/Terracina Mare station on the Rome - Naples railway line. Only the slower train services - approximately hourly - stop at the station. Cotral buses to Terracina stop outside Monte S. Biagio/Terracina Mare station (generally on the far side of the road). Bus tickets cost €1,30 and can be bought at the bar inside the station (as can rail tickets). Cotri Buses are often available at €1,00 only and they sell tickets on board. The bus journey takes fifteen minutes - look out of the window to see interesting ruins dotted along this section of the Appian Way.

- "What a wonderful place! What a lovely and marvelous house! It's a fairy tale. Really. This fantastic and splendid villa is like a little fairy palace between admirable hills. In this house we have had everything we needed. Fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, iron, Internet (Wi-Fi), barbecue in the garden... We have spent two absolutely unbelievable and unforgettable weeks. Great garden with olive trees, large terrace. Exciting sunsets and sunrises. Fresh and clean mountain air. Pleasant coolness in summer heat. It takes only 20-30 minutes to get to the sea by car. Sandy beaches of Terracina, Sperlonga, Sabaudia are miraculous. From villa it's easy (also by car) to get to a lot of places of interest: Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Vesuvio, Sermoneta, Alatri, Arpino, Anagni, Fiuggi, abbeys of Fossanova, Montecassino, Casamari, Trisulti. Not far from the house is a remarkable trattoria-pizzeria "Camposoriano". The whole huge garden of the villa is fenced. So our dog (Irish setter) was happy to run and to play free there. Ideal place if you want visit Terracina and stay in the center, reach beaches in 10 min or go for shopping in Via Roma and Viale Vittoria main two streets, going to beaches only 700mt, everything is walking distance Fish and Fruit/vegetables market only 3 min walk, same for the Supermarket, 300mt to Bus Station to get direct train to Monte San Biagio station then train to Rome and visit the old city or even get to Naples. The detached house is located in the middle of a large garden on the hill (Monte Giove) in a quiet location above the old town of Terracina overlooking the sea. A romantic natural garden with olive trees, oleander, bougainvillea, rosemary hedge, agave and brick hearth for barbecuing surround the house.
The own lemons as well as spices (laurel, rosemary, sage) can be used gladly. There is a rooftop dining area, which is great for dinner in the sunset. Many terraces (partly covered) surround the house to find the perfect sun / shade at all times. The bungalow offers many places to relax and feel good with views of the sea and the bay of Circeo.
A very special place: the view-protected outdoor shower with hot water and side sea view!

- "We stayed at the villa for 10 days and enjoyed every minute! We were four adults and two children and the villa and its venue offered something for everyone. It was very clean and had all the facilities for a longer-term stay (kitchen, washing machine, safe, t.v., dining/sitting room, etc.). On entering the house and opening the terrace doors, our first reaction was: What a fantastic view! But, what we ended up liking the most during our stay was the wonderful ambiance (“gemuetlichkeit”) of the house, its décor, the individualized rooms, the terrace, and the garden with its flowers and lemon trees. Of course, Terracina and its surroundings are fabulous: lots of beaches, interesting towns within cycling distance (two of us were with bicycles…the hill made for great exercise) or by car, and nice shops, restaurants and pizzerias both in the main town and in the historic village. - "Fantastic apartment in a wonderful location across the road from the beach with a bus stop right outside to get into town and a huge supermarket just 10 mins walk away. The pool area, with covered seating and sunbeds was great during the hottest part of the day when it felt too hot to be on the beach. Interhome were easy to deal with and very efficient and the local agent, Antonio, was available on WhatsApp if we needed anything. All in all we had a lovely week and hope to return soon!"
