- "This is a cute little two room cabin, set amidst several beautiful small garden areas. Although over all on the small side, the rooms were completely adequate in space to effortlessly move around. Owners were there part of the time and were very helpful. Sitting in the garden with a champagne breakfast was heavenly." - "Loved our stay! We used this as a home base to move my daughter into her dorm - it's very conveniently located close to campus. Though it's in a quiet neighborhood, many amenities are nearby - a Safeway, many restaurants, and Stanford Shopping Center. The cottage itself is tucked behind the owner's home, but access is easy, and includes an adorable (very friendly) canine welcoming committee. If dogs aren't your thing, don't worry, these dogs won't bother you at all, but are happy to receive a tummy rub if you wish. The cottage itself was spotless, with a modern, well-supplied kitchen and bathroom. The queen-sized bed was very comfy, and nights were wonderfully quiet and peaceful, with lovely gardens and outside sitting areas around you. Though we didn't need it, there is A/C, as well as a washer and dryer, and TV with cable. The owners are super friendly if you need them, but the cottage feels very private if you don't. Ample street parking is available with little street traffic. Would stay again! "

Less than 10 minutes away is the Redwood City Caltrain Station that connects you to the entire Bay Area including SFO, San Francisco and Bart if you wish to cross the Bay. There is a bus line a 15 minute walk away, and buses in the area easily connect you to neighboring locations such as Menlo Park and Palo Alto.

This guest house is like a tree house with modern open floor plan. It has huge 16 foot panoramic sliding doors that perfectly integrates the interior spaces with the outdoors.
A very fun spot in the middle of nature with very soothing environment. Lots of deers, birds, horses and rabbits around the guest house.

Spacious, modern shower-only bathroom with a wonderful bidet, a beautiful copper vessel sink and waterfall faucet along with oil-rubbed bronze fixtures. There is a lovely foldable teak shower bench for physical assistance for our/your parents (or shaving your legs!).

CHEF'S GOURMET KITCHEN
There is oodles of natural sunlight in our new home and you can gaze out any of the large windows to admire the fruit trees and enjoy the company of our beautiful, free-range chickens. The enviable chef's dream kitchen boasts brand new appliances and phenomenal fixtures: 6-burner gas stove, Wifi-enabled 4-door refrigerator, dishwasher with timer, microwave, and a super efficient toaster oven. The exquisite farmhouse copper kitchen sink, bronze faucet with pull-out handle, garbage disposal are surrounded by the cool intergalactic black and white granite countertops with a azure backsplash for pop.

Finally, the expansive sliding patio doors lead you out to the large beautifully paved patio, perfect for BBQs and small gatherings. Enjoy meals at the large kitchen island or the dining table, looking out to the peach/nectarine/pomegranate/lemon trees. As foodies and organic gardeners, we have virtually every kitchen gadget you could need so don’t buy one—just ask. Chances are, we have it.

1) Absolutely NO wearing shoes inside the house. NONE. So please bring your house slippers or we can provide them.
2) Absolutely NO wearing your white coat or scrubs that you wore in the hospital/clinic which harbor all kinds of MDR-organisms like MRSA, C dif enterococcus, etc. (This may seem weird but we host MDs and we cross post on CL)
3) Absolutely NO SMOKING or BURNING of any kind (tobacco, vaping, marijuana (even MMJ)), illicit substances, or candles anywhere inside the house or on the premises.

-Pls let us know your fur baby’s age, weight, and how s/he is potty trained
-Weight limit to 20lb (exception may be made--reach out and tell us. We love our babies and take them with us everywhere, or we just don't go (which means we do a lot of staycations).
-Cannot be left alone (or in a crate) for more than 2 hours w/o prior arrangements (we have fur babies and may be able to help).
Exceptions to any of these criteria on an individual basis.

NEIGHBORHOOD

Great walking score, hospital-centric (for our fellow medicine folks), friendly, clean, safe neighborhood. Off-leash dog park at Stulsaft is just one mile away. Lots of dining, shopping, and sightseeing within walking distance! If you want to hop in your car, you'll be just two miles from the 101 and 280 highways to get to the coast/beach at Half Moon Bay, south to Palo Alto, Mountain View, San Jose, Monterey Bay. Or go north to San Francisco, Napa Valley.
