I had a 2nd-floor corner room. It was QUIET. The window faces the highway but the sound insulation seems well made. The sound of the cars were minimized. The room has a heat pump instead of a window air conditioner. The heat pump was much more quieter in my opinion. Plus they provide earplugs, which worked really well. The road had few traffic at night. With the earplugs on I had a very good sleep. Other things, the room is spacious. The bedding was very good. Bathroom was very clean. Power outlets on both sides of the beds. Very convenient. By the way there is no elevator but just stairs. But it is a two-story building."

Travelers visiting Seaside Retreat will have access to a completely private, self-contained ground-floor unit of a duplex. Fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, golfing, surfing, whale watching, biking, hiking, wine tasting, shopping, an elephant seal sanctuary, redwood groves, and even scenic flights from the local airport are all just minutes away. It is a short drive to historic Half Moon Bay with its friendly Main Street lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Further down the coast, you will find the Ritz Carlton Hotel for a luxury cocktail or dinner.

There is a local bus that has limited service with a stop just around the corner from Seaside Retreat, however, for the greatest flexibility, Seaside Retreat is best reached by private car. In addition, there are Uber drivers and local tax services available. There is off-street parking available for one vehicle and plenty of street parking as well.

Adorable, small but very efficient cottage with loft and completely private yard and patio. This historic cottage converted from a Speakeasy, sleeps 4 close friends or family members comfortably. This space works for a party of close and intimate relations. The main space is a studio-type layout with kitchenette, toilet, shower and queen bed. The loft also has a queen size bed. Large patio, outdoor swing and fireplace make this cottage an ideal place to relax. Beach is about 500 yards through the neighborhood.
One thing to note is this place doesn’t have much privacy. Please scrutinize our pictures closely to make sure this space is right for you.

Welcome to this beautiful bungalow located right on Miramar Beach, steps away from the beach and with magnificent 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, Pillar Point and the Princeton Harbor. The home is also a few doors down from the Miramar Beach Restaurant as well as being located on Mirada Road, which is part of the Coastside trail leading as far north as the harbor and all the way south into the charming town of Half Moon Bay. Detour onto HWY 1. Miramar Beach is a destination spot for travelers all over the bay area.

The oceanfront bungalow is located underneath the world renowned jazz club established in 1964, and an Event Center. We do not rent the bungalow when other events are occurring so rest assured that you will have privacy and quiet. There is also a cottage on the property where the caretaker resides and another vacation rental.

Ideal amount of renters would be up to 4 adults and 2 additional children. Minimum age is 25 years old to rent. No pets and no smoking.

There are 2 bedrooms both with queen beds and 1 full bathroom with a shower. There is also a pullout couch.

IMPORTANT: The house has one FULL bathroom with a shower which is only accessible through the master bedroom. So if you are a close friends or family and do not mind this then it is a perfect place for you. You will also have access to two additional restrooms (no shower or bath) located right outside your entry door inside the main building inner hallway but please be aware they are occasionally used by the property manager & staff.

Grocery stores & markets: In Half Moon Bay there is New Leaf & Safeway. In El Granada there is Spangler's Market.

There is plenty to do in the coastal area. The Princeton Harbor is just a 5 minute drive north where you can walk the pier, shop, dine (Ketch Joanne, Barbara’s Fishtrap, and Mezza Luna (Zagat Rated), Half Moon Bay Brewery, Old Princeton Landing Public House & Grill, Breakwater Barbecue, Sam's Chowder House) kayak, surf, take charter fishing and whale watching trips and partake in local nightlife. There is walking/biking along the Coastside Trail that runs right in front of our home. The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is a 10 minute drive north in Moss Beach. There is plenty of hiking including at Pillar Point where the famous Mavericks surf competition is held and Montara Mountain which has sweeping 360 degree views of the bay area and is about a 15 mile drive north....in addition to hiking the beach!

The charming town of Half Moon Bay is just a 10 minute coastal drive south with unique shopping and dining (Pasta Moon, The Barn, Cantina at San Benito House, Dad's Luncheonette). There is golf at one of the two world famous Ocean Colony Golf Courses and a driving range at Ocean View Driving Range. As mentioned above, the home is attached to a jazz venue called the Bach Dancing & Dynamite which hosts world class jazz on Sundays.

This home is just 30 minutes from San Francisco and the SF Airport. Therefore within minutes you can be in the world class restaurants, museums, shopping, Broadway shows, and music venues. The San Francisco Zoo is only 35 minutes away. One can also head South and be at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk in an hour or inland to Silicon Valley to visit the Tech Museum or 1.5 hours to Monterey and the famous Monterey Aquarium.

There are 2 separated cottages on this property. These two cottages were built in 1906, visited by Jack London. They both have been designed to take full advantage of the Ocean Views , you're able to view the ocean from every living space inside each cottage, including each comfy king bed. The luxurious king bed is a white leather pillow top king bed with an added memory foam for an unbelievable nights sleep. Our guests repeat each other , how visiting this close to the ocean is Relaxing, Rejuvinating for the body and soul. You cannot be closer to the ocean, unless you were camping on the beach below. This location is quiet, peaceful and a lovely surprise to all upon opening the gate.

The garden area is shared between the two cottages. There is a lounge seating area around the Gas fire pit also recliner lounge chairs. For your privacy they both have their own private decking with beautiful outdoor furniture. Its all about your comfort your privacy with views of the Ocean.

Within a minute from the front door your able to walk to the beach below. Exploring the tide pools at low tide is another activity, bring sturdy shoes. You may take an easy 5 minute hike through a magical 100 Year old Cypress Forest above the Marine Refuge. This 5 min. hike leads to another beautiful calm sandy beach to explore. Another 5 minute walk to the Distillery Restaurant situated on a cliff overlooking the Ocean, with the Legend of the Blue Lady.

The proximity of our cottage to Hiking, Beaches, Harbor and Restaurants is within 3 miles. There is a paved Bike / Walking trail from the Princeton Harbor to Half Moon Bay along the Beautiful Beaches on the coast (about 10mi long). Our proximity to San Francisco, the Wine Country or Monterey makes it easy for a day trip in any direction in the San Francisco Bay Area.

After a day of activity, it is Amazing to sit in the comfortable lounge chairs and watch the Sun sizzle into the Pacific Ocean with your favorite beverage in hand, a warm cozy blanket and toast, to another day at the Beach!

We were able to park just outside the fence and plug in our car to an exterior outlet. The neighbourhood is quiet and exceptionally friendly, which we discovered during daily dog walks. I am a clean freak and thoroughly felt comfortable walking around without shoes and I was very comfortable sitting on the furniture and sleeping in the master bed, which had the most comfortable mattresses and pillows. The property is in great condition, well stocked, well appointed, and has a nice layout. My family of four felt very comfortable here. Regarding location, you truly have the best of both worlds by staying in the downtown area while remaining in walking distance to the beach. The hostess, Pam, was responsive and put forth the effort to make sure we had a great stay. Do yourself a favor a book this property, you will not be disappointed!"

We love hosting guests and want to help you have a great time. However, we both work full time jobs and sometimes, we are not available for immediate assistance. Answer: The TV is equipped with Roku. You can access any of the streaming platforms, but you will need to login with your own account credentials. If you want to watch a sporting event we suggest Old Princeton Landing, Ketch Joanne, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, Jersey Joes, or Cameron’s Pub.

FAQ: Is the backyard lawn area private or shared?

Answer:
The Airbnb unit is a completely private apartment. There is only one Airbnb rental on the property, so there aren’t other guests that you would need to worry about.

However, the backyard lawn area is shared with us (my family) in the main house and available to guests from 10 am until 8 pm each evening.

Answer: No, the backyard lawn area is a shared space and is located adjacent to the AirBnB, separated by a gate. You are more than welcome to use this space, in fact, we encourage it!

FAQ: Is there a kitchen in the unit?

Answer: Yes, there is a full kitchen including sink, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (coffee not included), etc. Please note, there is no dishwasher.

FAQ: I have a small, well behaved dog. Will you make an exception?

Answer: I'm sorry but we do not allow pet guests. We have two dogs on the property and having guests bring their pets creates a level of complexity and liability that we cannot manage. We do not make exceptions for the reasons noted above.

About 300 yards away from Poplar beach, you'll be able to drift off to sleep to the sound of waves. You'll have your own kitchenette for cooking light meals and an ultra-comfy Queen-sized bed to rest your head in. Outside, you'll have full access to the private fenced-off yard that the home sits on, with a fire pit and seating. Small but mighty.

It is located in a quiet neighborhood in the first block off the ocean and is just a 5 minute walk or bike ride from the historic downtown. It has versatile appeal: enjoy a romantic week or weekend for two or invite another friend or another couple.

Bright dinning room with beautiful DWR glass table opens to a large deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee, a great book with tea or an evening glass of wine.

The kitchen is very well appointed. If you can't find it you don't need it:). Bar/table with two stools where one can talk to the cook or hang out while making a nice dinner.

Green Leaf grocery store with organic produce a short ride or a walk away. You can buy fresh fish or crab at the fish market at the port or buy directly off the boat. Beautiful farmers market on Saturday also very close by.

Master bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and a small deck leading to a private side yard .

If you get there early enough, you can also get, during the stone fruit season, a tart that this expert Swiss owner makes herself and that are absolutely to die for and in limited supply.

Restaurants: Flying fish, Pasta Moon, Mesa Luna in Half Moon Bay and La Costanera in Princeton, and of course, the Ritz Carlton.

Nestled in the quaint fishing village of Princeton by the Sea, just a mile north of Half Moon Bay, this stunning property is the perfect destination for your next coastal retreat. The two-bedroom, one sofa bed, two-bathroom beautiful space sleeps up to 5-6 people and features spectacular views of Pillar Point Harbor and Half Moon Bay throughout the common areas and bedrooms. This is the ultimate coastal luxury, featuring modern appliances and an open floor through all the common areas.

Each of the two bedrooms is on the same floor and has 1 King bed per room. In the common area, there is a sofa that turns into a bed. The property sleeps a maximum of six people.

There is no elevator, and the living areas are up one or two levels from the ground level. In some of the photos, a decorative ladder is visible. However, the ladder is not accessible to guests and is blocked off. We have regular staircases between the first, second, and third levels.

Like many properties on the Half Moon Bay coast and SF area, the house does not have air conditioning.
