You will have a private studio apartment with two private entrances and a private patio and zen garden.

We love hosting guests and want to help you have a great time. However, we both work full time jobs and sometimes, we are not available for immediate assistance. For the quickest response, please message us via the Airbnb app. Since we both manage that inbox we will respond as quickly as possible. A text or phone call to our personal phones is highly discouraged (unknown callers are frequently screened via voicemail) and will result in a slower response time.

Answer: The TV is equipped with Roku. You can access any of the streaming platforms, but you will need to login with your own account credentials. If you want to watch a sporting event we suggest Old Princeton Landing, Ketch Joanne, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, Jersey Joes, or Cameron’s Pub.

Answer:
The Airbnb unit is a completely private apartment. There is only one Airbnb rental on the property, so there aren’t other guests that you would need to worry about.

However, the backyard lawn area is shared with us (my family) in the main house and available to guests from 10 am until 8 pm each evening.

Answer: No, the backyard lawn area is a shared space and is located adjacent to the AirBnB, separated by a gate. You are more than welcome to use this space, in fact, we encourage it!

FAQ: How far is your house from the beach?

Answer: We are 0.4 miles to Surfer's Beach. It is an easy walk or bike ride away.

FAQ: Is there a kitchen in the unit?

Answer: Yes, there is a full kitchen including sink, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (coffee not included), etc. Please note, there is no dishwasher.

FAQ: I have a small, well behaved dog. Will you make an exception?

Answer: I'm sorry but we do not allow pet guests. We have two dogs on the property and having guests bring their pets creates a level of complexity and liability that we cannot manage. We do not make exceptions for the reasons noted above.

Beautiful Half Moon Bay has many highly rated restaurants for dining out. We highly recommend that you try them, especially (our favorite!) Barbara's Fish Trap at the Harbor if you love fresh fish! And Pasta Moon on Main Street is very good and so close many Guests walk there. Our tiny kitchen’s four burner cook top and oven does a great job too. Also, the full sized microwave will cook a meal in a third the time of normal cooking. Pyrex dishes available in the kitchen for the microwave.

They were a respectful bunch so generally there weren’t any problems, but they were up talking/working past 11:30 and we could literally hear everything. I can see how for some people it would have been a big problem. - we did not expect a full kitchen so we had no problem with the absence of a dishwasher or a stove. However, it would have been nice to have slightly more functional items in the mini-kitchen. The door on the little refrigerator didn’t close, resulting in condensation and everything getting wet, and the coffee maker was SUPER cheap. At that price point it would have been nice to have a functioning mini-fridge and maybe a nespresso machine or something? Just a thought. Again, it was overall an amazing stay and we were very happy."

With two bedrooms, including a comfy queen bed, and two bathrooms, one with a shower (en suite) and the second with a shower/bathtub, this place is quiet, private and convenient. One bedroom has no bed, it is used for a workout and yoga room, and an office. In the second bedroom is also a new Peloton bike that you may use if you have an account. The rent is discounted for one person, but if two people, the rent will increase $500, but no additional bed will be provided (I pay $3,895/ month). The apartment owner (https://www.mavericksapartments.com) refers to this as a luxury apartment, but I would not go that far, but it is secure and clean; it has a chill vibe. Guest must provide landlord the application; this is a sublet and the stay will be subject to the landlord/ apartment building owners acceptance as well as the leaseholder. I really like living here, it is about 1/2 mile to the trails of Quarry Park and to Rancho Corral de Tierra regional park. The building occupants are all respectful and kind. There is no TV but very good Wi Fi (Xfinity).

**Disclosure**: My family lives in this house and we love it! As such, we occasionally have home renovation projects going on to keep our home looking its best. FAQ: Do you have cable or live sports access?

Answer: The TV is equipped with Roku. You can access any of the streaming platforms, but you will need to login with your own account credentials. If you want to watch a sporting event we suggest Old Princeton Landing, Ketch Joanne, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, Jersey Joes, or Cameron’s Pub.

FAQ: Is the backyard lawn area private or shared?

Answer:
The Airbnb unit is a completely private apartment. There is only one Airbnb rental on the property, so there aren’t other guests that you would need to worry about.

However, the backyard lawn area is shared with us (my family) in the main house and available to guests from 10 am until 8 pm each evening.

FAQ: Is the backyard lawn area attached to the Airbnb?

Answer: No, the backyard lawn area is a shared space and is located adjacent to the AirBnB, separated by a gate. You are more than welcome to use this space, in fact, we encourage it!

FAQ: How far is your house from the beach?

Answer: We are 0.4 miles to Surfer's Beach. It is an easy walk or bike ride away.

FAQ: Is there a kitchen in the unit?

Answer: Yes, there is a full kitchen including sink, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (coffee not included), etc. Please note, there is no dishwasher.

FAQ: I have a small, well behaved dog. Will you make an exception?

Answer: I'm sorry but we do not allow pet guests. We have two dogs on the property and having guests bring their pets creates a level of complexity and liability that we cannot manage. We do not make exceptions for the reasons noted above.

Quaint Half Moon Bay is a couple of miles south, San Francisco is 20 miles north.

The space
The studio is airy and spacious. It includes a full kitchen in an open plan. Beach towels provided. It is an easy walk to Princeton Harbor. If you use this as a home base to see San Francisco- you will be there in 30 minutes by car. We do have a queen size airbed if you have more than 2 in your party (see above, $15 per guest over 2). Children are welcome, and count as guests :)

This unit is the bottom portion of our home, with its own private entrance and patio area. There is a dedicated driveway parking spot for our guests. We have friendly indoor/outdoor kitties who may want to meet you, but aren't allowed into your space (though they may try) We also have a border collie. Our kids and pets do make use of the backyard, which is screened off from the BNB patio.

Studio G is located on a lovely street in El Granada, a quiet cul-de-sac,(dead-end street), with no through traffic. Walk to "The Press" for breakfast and/or lunch or to the harbor for more dining options.

The studio is situated in a very quiet, respected neighborhood where our neighbors are our friends.

Private secluded deck with patio nestled in the hills of El Granada on a quiet residential street, a short ten minute walk from beach, park, restaurants, coffee shops, bus stop, bars, locally sourced, family run grocery store and even a microbrewery...

The space
Spacious separate bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed with newer mattress fits two people. There is also a futon in the living room area. Total number of guests allowed is 2. One friendly dog and 2 cats also live on the property and you might encounter them outside.

Private entrance involves flagstone and wooden railroad trestle steps down to the apartment with a queen size bed complete with new linens. Full kitchen with all new appliances including fridge and freezer, induction cook top stove, microwave/oven and full size sink. Other provided amenities include: coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, cookware and dinning ware. Enjoy ample natural light through multiple windows during the day, and free Wifi and premium Cable TV with various streaming options. There is a lovely private sitting deck area off the space surrounded by wisteria and fragrant jasmine. The back patio is also exclusively for your private use during your stay. There is a large wooden enclosure in the backyard containing chickens, which I may need to attend to during your stay, although I try to do this while you're out. :) Please let me know if you would like fresh eggs in your fridge upon your arrival. :)

In the front yard there is a shared patio with an ornamental pond for you to enjoy.

Owner lives upstairs and can greet you upon your arrival and help orient you with the area and answer any questions etc....

I enjoy sharing this quiet and beautiful neighborhood just 4 miles north of Half Moon Bay with so much to offer, including hiking trails along the coast, bluffs, mountains or parks. Just a few blocks from the picturesque coastal highway 1 ... San Francisco is a breathtaking drive north along the coastline with mountain and tree lined views, roughly 30 minutes or so north depending on traffic (aside from stopping for photo ops along the way)! Basically we are close enough to San Francisco for day/evening trips, but still far enough away to enjoy this relaxed and peaceful coastal town.
Santa Cruz is about a 45 minute drive south (aside from stopping for more photo ops and exploring the many quaint coastal towns on route.)

Free parking is available on the street. Please do not block the driveway as we park in the garage. Public transit bus connects the coastal towns to each other and beyond and is a short ten minute walk..

Sorry pets are not allowed.

Unfortunately the space is not childproof so not suitable for toddlers. Please book with the correct number of guests. Bedding for the futon is available if requested in advance.

The private entrance to the apartment is along the right hand side of the garage around the BACK of the house, purple door. Code to enter. Please be respectful of the neighbors and keep noise to a minimum along the pathway to the apartment.

Basics are provided for you — sheets, towels, beach towels, shampoo, soap, pots, pans, utensils, coffee, sugar etc.

On the table you will find the welcome letter that describes the house rules, what we suggest in terms of restaurants, emergency contacts as well as the wifi codes. Please read them attentively.

The easiest way down to the beach is going to the end of our street then heading a little bit north on the paved path until you see the trail down to the beach.

This beautiful second story condominium, completed in 2015, is located in Princeton-By-The-Sea on beautiful Pillar Point Harbor in lovely Half Moon Bay, California, 25 miles south of San Francisco, CA and 54 miles north of Santa Cruz, CA just off of scenic Highway 1.

This executive style lodging is appointed with a comfortable master suite (california king-sized bed), walk-in closet, loft that can sleep 3-6 people (3 twin beds that convert to king-sized beds), lovely living space with sky-high cathedral ceilings, modern chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances, laundry facilities, breathtaking dining and entertainment area with fireplace and deck. The Captain's Quarters is located at 334 Princeton Avenue, Princeton-By-The-Sea, Half Moon Bay, CA, 94019. Parking is located under the building on the ground floor. The condominium is located on the second floor (2 flights of stairs). Pillar Point Harbor and El Granada are just steps away where restaurants, water sports (paddle boarding, surfing, boating, fishing), hiking, sight-seeing abound in a beautiful natural setting.

Other things to note
Please note, the condominium is not baby or toddler-safe. Stairs, fireplace, etc. may present risks to small children. Also, guests must be able to scale stairs to access the condominium. The second restroom is made available in the office space.
