Alameda is a charming island town filled with old Victorian summer homes. Large sunny beach. Windsurfing, Kite-boarding, Sailing, Sun Bathing. The town has many local pubs and restaurants.
The apartment unit has a floating dock in front of a large outside deck. It's a great place to to BBQ or just sitting on our dock enjoying San Francisco Bay, the one-bedroom unit has an attached bath and shower and a small side room with a small refrigerator, toaster, coffer maker some other amenities. The bed room can accommodate two people in the comfortable queen-size bed.
There is a large outside deck overlooking our boat dock. There seems to be a constant parade of kayaks, paddle-boarders, and boater passing up the canal.

It has an air conditioner unit for the few days in summer when you may need it. This unique living room has 2 large windows which looks out to the redwood deck, the view of the trees and down to the beach 3 blocks away. It also has a 46' HDTV with AT&T INTERNET 1000 (FIBER 1 GIG) high speed.

The kitchen has new kitchen cabinets installed. It is fully equipped for cooking. All stainless steel appliances with dishwasher, microwave oven, gas stove/oven, refrigerator/ice. All utensils, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, coffee cups, coffee maker, toaster and everything you would need.

The master bedroom has 1 queen size bed, dresser and night stand. It also has a 46' HDTV attached to the wall with a mounting bracket so that you can move it around. Large closet and a small reading room, an office desk and chair for the business executive. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed and large closet. The 3rd bedroom has 2 twin size beds. All the mattresses are comfort mattresses to provide a good night sleep.

The private deck is made of solid redwood and has a large redwood table where you can sit and eat while enjoying the view. There is a large avocado tree hanging near the deck with lots of avocados. The deck is private and is fenced around to provide the privacy you need. Many guest spend time having dinner on the deck when the weather is beautiful.

The bathrooms are totally remodeled. Bathroom #1 is a full bath with tub and shower. and new sink. The floor is white marble tile. Bathroom #2 is a 1/2 bath with a new toilet and sink and cherry vanity. Both bathrooms are stock with towels, toiletries, soap, shampoos, hair conditioner and a hair dryer.

There are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers in the laundry room downstairs on the 1st floor of the building.

The penthouse is just 2 blocks to downtown Alameda's historic Park Street which has around 40 different kind of restaurants, shops, museum, a movie multiplex, fresh produce market and live theater. Grocery stores like Safeway, Nob Hill foods and Trader Joe's, 7 local winery tasting rooms at the former Alameda Naval Air station.

San Francisco is just 20 minutes drive away over the Bay Bridge or via BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and the Alameda/Oakland ferry to San Francisco. The Oakland Airport is just about 3 miles away.

It’s a tight squeeze and untenable if you have a large or tall vehicle. Our Audi SUV and Denali fit just fine, but it was close! Overall, we had a wonderful experience. So good in fact, I felt a bit conflicted writing the review, wanted to keep it all for ourselves."

Along "Spirit's Alley",in the same area ,are many brew pubs, a couple of wineries, Hangar 1 Vodka, St. George Spirits Distillery, most with a back drop of the SF sky line. The first Sunday of each month Michaan's Auction house hosts a large antiques fair on the old tarmac. This area of Alameda is constantly changing as the redevelopment continues.

Bright and well appointed 2BR apartment (1200 sq ft) in garden level of a charming 1890s Victorian. First bedroom has a queen bed. The other (larger) bedroom contains a twin which converts into a king bed as well as a sofa. Extra mattress can also be placed on the floor to create a 2 twin bed room. (See photos for configuration options) Living room contains a large sofa and room for a queen air mattress (provided upon request) for additional sleeping options.

Great East End Alameda location - quiet and residential, but just a few blocks to Park St and 1/2 mile to the beach and South Shore center. Chochenyo Park is two blocks away. The AC transit O/OX bus stops 1 block away and takes you directly into Downtown SF (Salesforce Transit center). Downtown Oakland is just a few miles away and also easily accessible. Oakland Airport is just 10 minutes away by car.

Please note that we live in the main house directly above the apartment and have two small children. Therefore, we have to ask our guests to respect quiet hours after 8PM.

Our apartment is within 2 blocks of downtown Alameda with over 50 shops, trendy restaurants, and coffee/tea shops nearby. Unit is recently renovated with bamboo floors, a beautiful kitchen, dining area, living room, and beds complete with high thread count sheets and a Eurotop mattress in the master. Amenities include complimentary use of laundry and game room with a pool table and classic arcade console. Our place is great for couples, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.

This ground floor unit is 1200 square feet and will comfortably fit up to 4 guests. In addition to the 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, dining room and kitchen, there is a living room with a large sofa, large LCD TV with a Wii game console and Satellite with premium and sport channels for the enjoyment of our guests.

The bathrooms are supplied with a set of towels for each guest and complimentary personal sized shampoo, body wash, bar soap as well as toilet paper.

The beds are made up with fresh linens and extra blankets are available for each bed. The queen has a Eurotop mattress and is complete with high thread count sheets.

We constantly upgrade the unit for the comfort of our guests and recently installed air conditioning units in all the bedrooms and the family room.

You'll be 2 blocks away from Crab Cove beach and visitor's center, and only 1 block away from Webster Street with easy bus access (AC Transit), many nice restaurants, a small market, hardware store, farmer's market and post office. The Alameda Ferry Terminal is also nearby for hops over to San Francisco or Oakland's Jack London Square. This apartment is great for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with or without kids).

The space
**For everyone’s safety, we have in place a 2-day buffer between guests during which time we thoroughly clean and sanitize!**

This 900-square-foot Victorian in-law apartment has many original moldings and built-ins, plus a lovely claw-foot tub for long soaks. The large eat-in kitchen has full-sized appliances, and there is a washer and dryer in the bathroom. In addition to the flat-screen TV, we've stocked the living room with games and books for relaxing times indoors. You'll notice that the apartment stays wonderfully cool in the summer, and has its own central heat in the wintertime.

Guest access
Each bedroom has one comfy queen bed, and there is also a couch/daybed in the larger bedroom if needed for an extra person.

Other things to note
Since we live right upstairs with regular work schedules and 2 big, friendly dogs, and neighboring houses are quite close, there will be noises during the day. Also, I am a professional pianist, so you may hear me practicing or teaching. We all try to be courteous with our noise and ask that you will be too.

Please note, there ARE steps in the apartment -- there are 2 steps down from street level, as well as 2 steps up again into the bathroom, so it's not an ideal situation for guests who use wheelchairs. These steps have not been an issue for the many wonderful families who have stayed with us.
