Come stay in our spacious & beautiful home, FULLY FURNISHED, newly renovated open floor plan with cooks kitchen. Beautiful light all day, large living spaces, two brand new tiled bathrooms. And a huge yard with three vegetable beds, pear, plum, fig, lemon and orange trees ...and a cedar barrel sauna. I have tenants in the downstairs apartment and they share the yard. Please respect the quiet time from 1030pm to 8am - and the no shoes policy.

There is central heat but no AC. The temperatures almost never get uncomfortably hot year round. We keep windows open most days. The central heat is controlled by a thermostat in the living room. If you use it please turn it off when you go.

If you look at my reviews, all reviews prior to July 2018 are from either this home before the renovation or from my sailboat. They are mostly very positive reviews with some complaints about cleanliness. The home prior to renovation was very old and hard to keep clean. We have a very high standard for cleanliness since the renovation.

This modern guestroom is set in our beautiful little backyard with lemon, peach, and plum trees, sunny zen garden, hot tub, large wood farm table for eating meals, and a cozy space to rest at the end of your travels.

You'll have your own private entrance from the gated backyard. Inside the casita, there is a kitchenette with mini-fridge, tea/coffee bar, microwave, toaster oven, and hot plate. It has a modern, luxurious bathroom with a bidet toilet seat.

It's an excellent location: quick access to BART & the F bus which goes into Downtown SF, a neighborhood full of restaurants, cafes, and shops. It's right by two trendy Oakland neighborhoods: Rockridge and Temescal, full of some of the highest-quality foodie establishments in the world. We are far enough away from the crowds and traffic because our house is on a quiet residential street.

We have a nice backyard where you can enjoy your morning coffee, pick some fresh lemons or lavender, soak in the hot tub, or just sit and lounge in the sun.
