Our first floor guest suite is approximately 500 square feet with a large bedroom and newly redone bathroom. The bathroom has a shower and is equipped with all of the necessary supplies that travelers need. We supply a hair dryer, organic shampoo and conditioner and soap. The bedroom has a walk in closet with a supply of hangers and a small chest to put your folded items. The bed is a queen size bed and we supply the linens and towels. We like high count sheets for a comfortable sleep. Added blankets and pillows are also provided.
There is a sitting room off of the bedroom that also a joins a kitchenette that is fully supplied with a small fridge, hotplate, microwave and toaster oven as well as a convection oven.
There is a coffee maker and electric kettle for tea or cocoa. If it is one cup you want, we have a Keurig coffee maker as well. Plates and cutlery are supplied as well plus bowls for preparation of your meals.
There are staples such as spices, sugar, salt and pepper as well as coffee and filters and a good assortment of teas
We have an ironing board and iron in the closet and in the bedroom we have a smart television for streaming your favorite shows.
Outside, we have a lovely fountain if you so choose to have it on. Our garden is for you to enjoy sitting and reading or just having your morning coffee.
Since we live near to the areas of Glenwood, Loch Lomand, and Peacock Gap, we have hosted many family members that are visiting their children and grandchildren. They enjoy the proximity to their family members and to these neighborhoods but yet return and recuperate from all the family gatherings. A plus for us is the many returning guests. We always look forward to seeing our guests again and again. We also like to think of our rental as a quiet get away for couples as well.
If you enjoy the wine country, we are within an hour away and also if the city is a draw, we are less than an hour away. The town of San Rafael is about three miles west of us and it has an amazing art movie house as well as a great supply of restaurants with various cuisines.
Our area is quiet, and next to a marsh where you can see many different types of sea birds. It is an easy walk to Loch Lomond yacht harbor where you can just sit and view Mt. Tam or the bay and its boats and sea birds.

The Fairhills neighborhood is one of the nicest in Marin county and one of the first. It was used for vacation homes for the wealthy families from San Francisco in the turn of the century era.
Usually great weather, about 10 degrees warmer than southern Marin and almost 20 degrees warmer then San Fran. This newly remodeled home opens up to huge private patio w bay and Mt Tam views. The pool is saltwater and usually warmer in the spring-fall, since its solar heated it depends on the weather.
Just down the street is trail head to miles of ridge top hiking and biking, also bay access within 15-20 minutes to beach, wine country, San Francisco.

We live in a quiet and safe neighborhood with lots of trees and walking trails nearby. The road to our house is narrow and winds around a bit, but it's only 1/3 of a mile from Lincoln Avenue, one of the main streets running through San Rafael. Downtown San Rafael is about a 15-minute walk (downhill going there, uphill coming back).

San Rafael is a convenient and central Bay Area location, only a 30-minute drive to Napa, San Francisco, Berkeley/Oakland, and about 20 minutes to the beach and Muir Woods. Downtown San Rafael and the transit station are about 1 mile away, as is the freeway entrance (101 north and south). The downtown area is charming, with artist studios, shops, restaurants, and a wonderful art house cinema. Sol Food Restaurant, less than a mile away, has been written up in the New York Times (36 Hours in Marin County); it has delicious and inexpensive Puerto Rican food. We're also near Dominican College, and the Terrapin Crossroads, a great new music venue owned by Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead.

We love hosting people and can guarantee you'll feel comfortable and well cared for. We have a small standard poodle who is very sweet and friendly. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Pristine studio in the heart of Marin, walking distance to the north end of San Francisco Bay as well as China Camp State Park. Perfect jumping-off spot for exploring San Francisco, Marin, and the wine country of Sonoma and Napa. The kitchenette includes a convection microwave, portable cooktop, and air fryer, so you can prepare almost anything you could make with a regular oven and stovetop (yes, you can even bake a cake!).

Absolutely clean and pristine, with air conditioning and a TV you can swivel to watch from the couch or the queen-size bed.

Tesla charger available, with adapter for any type of electric car.

The studio is in the lower part of a two-story home on a gated, wooded lot very close to hiking and biking trails. There is another, separate guest house on the property that we have been hosting as a vacation rental for 15 years. We live on the upper floor of the main home and will do our best to keep sounds to a minimum during your stay. (Please note: This studio probably isn’t for you if you couldn’t bear to hear footsteps once in a while.)

You can be in San Francisco in 30 minutes, Sonoma (45 minutes), Napa (60 to 90 minutes), Stinson Beach (45 minutes), Sausalito (20 minutes).

This is a lower studio unit in a two-story, two-unit building; there may be guests staying in the unit above. There was modern, heavy-duty sound-proofing added between the two units so that the only sound that may travel between is if someone wears hard shoes (we ask everyone to remove shoes).

Eli and Adam were very responsive to my texts and went out of their way to make sure the pool was good to go after all the rain storms we have had in California. The place is clean but small, perfect for a quick trip for one or two people. The bed was very comfortable and there were complimentary snacks and coffee. Dinners at locally recommended Vin Atico and Sol Food nearby in downtown San Rafael were wonderful. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay."

The home is designed with Airy Blues Scandinavian Design. There is plenty to do within the area. The kitchen has a water fall island. Which allows for a great cooking space. The restaurants in the area are superb! There is a wonderful host on site to accommodate you in the room and to attend any kind of inquiries you have with the property.

Although San Rafael was originally put on the map back in the early '70s for being home to LucasFilm, founded by George Lucas ofStar Warsfame, it continues to thrive as a Marin County destination and is now home to View at Marin Apartments. Those craving the outdoors will be happy to find McNear's Beach and China Camp State Park closeby, as well as Samuel P. Taylor State Park, filled with giant Redwoods. Having easy access to freeways and public transportation makes traveling to the East Bay and San Francisco a breeze. The Eaves San Rafael community is just a 10-minute drive from Downtown San Rafael, where you can find many notable eateries and shops, and everyday staples like Whole Foods Market and Walgreens pharmacy.

THINGS TO KNOW

• Guests must pass a building-required background check. We will offer a full refund if the reservation needs to be canceled due to the results of this check.
• If you are requesting an extension within 24 hours of your scheduled move-out date and/or are still present past 11am, you will be charged a $150 fee, plus the cost of another night. This covers the cost of rescheduling our cleaners and quality assurance inspectors.
• We provide hand soap and a variety of cleaning supplies, but no longer provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
• Please note that this unit does not have cable TV; there is a SmartTV and internet only.
• The building is currently having renovations. There will be no pool access during this time
