This location is perfect for anyone without a car. A delightful 5 Minute walk to BART, BUS. Short walking distance to Orinda Downtown Theater Square, Trendy Shops, Cool Coffee Houses, Hip Restaurants, Parks, Reservoirs, Recreation, and Hiking/Biking Trails. 20-minute BART ride to San Francisco and a direct BART line to San Francisco International Airport.

Both Flats have separate outside private Patio/Garden areas to enjoy dinner, a glass of wine, or just soak up a little California sunshine while you relax. - "First, we have nothing but good things to say about Daisy, the owner, though we never met her. Her communication was prompt, and she was responsive to our needs, including sending someone to help carry our luggage up the stairs. The toaster didn’t work, we needed more towels and an ironing board and iron. All arrived the next day. Our texts were always responded to quickly. The living room and main bedroom are quite large, with a comfortable couch and queen bed. The kitchen has good appliances, but is on the small side. Since we were there during COVID, and had to prepare all of our meals, that was a drawback. Also, we could have used a couple of more dinner plates and a few more water glasses. However, we didn’t ask about them, so we can’t complain. I’m sure Daisy would have accommodated us quickly. The location is excellent. You can be in Berkeley or Walnut Creek in 10 minutes. Overall, it was a positive experience, and we would recommend Knickerbocker for those wanting a comfortable and fairly priced place to stay in Orinda."

The bathroom is accessed via a spacious hallway with large closets, a full-length mirror and plenty of room to dress. The bath itself includes a charming pedestal sink, a shower stocked with shampoo/conditioner/body wash, heat lamp and soft towels.

High speed Wifi is provided via a mesh router and Netflix access is provided on the smart TV.

You have use of your own washer and dryer in a separate room.

Guest access
Guests park on a level, stone driveway and access the apartment via six short steps. Solar lamps mark the way at night.

Other things to note
We are a retired couple who love the Bay Area. Our home is located on a small, private street in a semi-secluded setting, yet close to all Bay Area locations. We back up to free space and welcome frequent visits from deer, turkeys, and other wild friends.

We are a five minute drive from the little village of Orinda where you will find coffee shops, restaurants, and shops, not to mention the landmark Art Deco Orinda Theater.

Orinda is located 25 minutes from downtown San Francisco via direct BART train. Berkeley and Oakland are even closer. The Napa Valley is an hour drive away.

During summer you can take advantage of performances at the outdoor California Shakespeare Theater which is located right in Orinda.
