Welcome to this beautiful bungalow located right on Miramar Beach, steps away from the beach and with magnificent 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, Pillar Point and the Princeton Harbor. The home is also a few doors down from the Miramar Beach Restaurant as well as being located on Mirada Road, which is part of the Coastside trail leading as far north as the harbor and all the way south into the charming town of Half Moon Bay. Detour onto HWY 1. Miramar Beach is a destination spot for travelers all over the bay area.

The oceanfront bungalow is located underneath the world renowned jazz club established in 1964, and an Event Center. We do not rent the bungalow when other events are occurring so rest assured that you will have privacy and quiet. There is also a cottage on the property where the caretaker resides and another vacation rental.

Ideal amount of renters would be up to 4 adults and 2 additional children. Minimum age is 25 years old to rent. No pets and no smoking.

There are 2 bedrooms both with queen beds and 1 full bathroom with a shower. There is also a pullout couch.

IMPORTANT: The house has one FULL bathroom with a shower which is only accessible through the master bedroom. So if you are a close friends or family and do not mind this then it is a perfect place for you. You will also have access to two additional restrooms (no shower or bath) located right outside your entry door inside the main building inner hallway but please be aware they are occasionally used by the property manager & staff.

Grocery stores & markets: In Half Moon Bay there is New Leaf & Safeway. In El Granada there is Spangler's Market.

There is plenty to do in the coastal area. The Princeton Harbor is just a 5 minute drive north where you can walk the pier, shop, dine (Ketch Joanne, Barbara’s Fishtrap, and Mezza Luna (Zagat Rated), Half Moon Bay Brewery, Old Princeton Landing Public House & Grill, Breakwater Barbecue, Sam's Chowder House) kayak, surf, take charter fishing and whale watching trips and partake in local nightlife. There is walking/biking along the Coastside Trail that runs right in front of our home. The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is a 10 minute drive north in Moss Beach. There is plenty of hiking including at Pillar Point where the famous Mavericks surf competition is held and Montara Mountain which has sweeping 360 degree views of the bay area and is about a 15 mile drive north....in addition to hiking the beach!

The charming town of Half Moon Bay is just a 10 minute coastal drive south with unique shopping and dining (Pasta Moon, The Barn, Cantina at San Benito House, Dad's Luncheonette). There is golf at one of the two world famous Ocean Colony Golf Courses and a driving range at Ocean View Driving Range. As mentioned above, the home is attached to a jazz venue called the Bach Dancing & Dynamite which hosts world class jazz on Sundays.

This home is just 30 minutes from San Francisco and the SF Airport. Therefore within minutes you can be in the world class restaurants, museums, shopping, Broadway shows, and music venues. The San Francisco Zoo is only 35 minutes away. One can also head South and be at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk in an hour or inland to Silicon Valley to visit the Tech Museum or 1.5 hours to Monterey and the famous Monterey Aquarium.

The Airbnb unit is a completely private apartment. There is only one Airbnb rental on the property, so there aren’t other guests that you would need to worry about.

Welcome to our lovely cottage in Half Moon Bay. Quaint from the outside, it is comfortable, stylish and well appointed on the inside. It is located in a quiet neighborhood in the first block off the ocean and is just a 5 minute walk or bike ride from the historic downtown. It has versatile appeal: enjoy a romantic week or weekend for two or invite another friend or another couple.

Green Leaf grocery store with organic produce a short ride or a walk away. You can buy fresh fish or crab at the fish market at the port or buy directly off the boat. Beautiful farmers market on Saturday also very close by.

Master bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and a small deck leading to a private side yard .

Half Moon Bay is a coastal community located approximately 35 minutes south of San Francisco that features the best of Northern California all in one place. Nestled in the quaint fishing village of Princeton by the Sea, just a mile north of Half Moon Bay, this stunning property is the perfect destination for your next coastal retreat. The two-bedroom, one sofa bed, two-bathroom beautiful space sleeps up to 5-6 people and features spectacular views of Pillar Point Harbor and Half Moon Bay throughout the common areas and bedrooms. This is the ultimate coastal luxury, featuring modern appliances and an open floor through all the common areas.

Each of the two bedrooms is on the same floor and has 1 King bed per room. In the common area, there is a sofa that turns into a bed. The property sleeps a maximum of six people.

There is no elevator, and the living areas are up one or two levels from the ground level. In some of the photos, a decorative ladder is visible. However, the ladder is not accessible to guests and is blocked off. We have regular staircases between the first, second, and third levels.

Like many properties on the Half Moon Bay coast and SF area, the house does not have air conditioning.

Please note: guests should be aware that while this is a private space, the house is a single level duplex and does have shared walls (unit next door). While walls have been reinforced to minimize sound, one can expect to hear occasional sound, creaks or muted conversation of a neighbor as happens in multifamily units. We ask that guests respect others and keep loud noises to a minimum and we will do the same. There is no shared space, separate yards too.

It felt like I was coming home. It is very well done. Beautifully decorated and nice upgrades inside and out. While I did not take advantage of the outdoor patio with chairs and fire pit, the next time I come up and have more time, I definitely will!"

This beautiful craftsman cottage was built in 1916 and recently fully rehabbed. High ceilings, 2 beautiful modern bedrooms and baths and a gorumet kitchen.. Enjoy the sound of the ocean while you relax on the front porch. Literally walk around the corner to the spectacular Fitzgerald Marine preserve, which has interesting tide-pools and a breath-taking trail amidst the cypress trees overlooking the ocean (great for both kids and adults!). A large group of seals is always on the beach for even more entertainment. At the end of the trail stop in for lunch, dinner and drinks at the historic Moss Beach Distillery.

A great place to 'shelter in place. Beautiful views, scenic hikes on quiet trails, tide pool exploration.

Moss Beach is 18 miles to San Francisco and 22 miles to Silcone Valley where you will find tech companies and business people. This is a great place to rent if you are here for work. Work hard all day and relax at night while listening to the waves steps from the house.

Newly rebuilt house above Seal Cove Beach. 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a large great room. Large deck with expansive ocean views. Beach access and beautiful Fitzpatrick Marine Reserve Park one block north of house. Two bed, two bath with large living area and brand new kitchen. Same great views from the two bed rooms and the large central living area. WiFi, 2 TV's, ample street parking. Moss Beach is between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay with great beaches, hiking and lots of activities near by for the whole family. Fifteen minute drive to San Francisco. Very short walk to the Moss Beach Brewery, voted best restaurant at Half Moon Bay.

Welcome to our coastal basement. Actually, it is not a basement it is a ground floor unit. But some people keep calling it a basement so I am calling it one, too and then you can be surprised when it is really not one. 165 steps from the property to the beach trail where you can step down to the sand. This unit does not have a kitchen. This unit is weathered and well lived it but is comfortable, in a desirable oceanside neighborhood, very affordable, and usually 100% booked. Please read more!

We want you to be happy here and dont want people who are going to be unhappy to book here. I have taken some liberties with my descriptions to head off perpetual complainers. We have been doing this a long time. This unit has been rented, with different descriptions, since March 2019 and we have never had a vacancy.

This unit is no frills and we have it priced no frills. Some of the furniture shows a little wear. The floor is a stick on coating that gets chipped here and there and we cant always replace the strip right away. People love to leave the windows open to hear the ocean which is less than half a football field away. Because of this there is some pitting that gets on the fixtures. This a basic beachside place. We love living here. If you are looking for a great bargain and comfortable place you have found it! If you have oh-toro sashimi wants but a canned tuna budget, you have not found the place you are looking for.

We have a lot of idiots who book this place and think we can offer a Ritz Carlton experience for under $300/night. Actually the Ritz is usually $1000/night and has only 4/5 stars review. Most Half Moon Bay hotels range from 3.2 stars on up to 4.5. When we have this unit listed it is usually 4.7 on up. People who visit Half Moon Bay are hard to please I guess.

We also have noticed a lot of people who are booking here because they cannot afford other places. This is why we set it up the way we do- to make it affordable. But, if you are they type to complain about everything and threaten to leave bad reviews unless we buy you off then you need to find another way of recouping your budget.

I have put pictures of the curtains blocking the service entrance. Nobody will come into your unit from the main house. I live upstairs. I try not to make noise. The place is basic, if you are looking to stay on the coast at a low price, we think you will enjoy it here.

Plenty of free parking on street in front of house.The only access to rest of the house is the shared bathroom and the utility room. The small utility room is equipped with a microwave, Mr. Coffee maker, dishes, countertop for use for preparing food and sink for cleaning dishes. There is a shared bathroom down the hallway.

Other things to note
There are beautiful walks and hiking trails close by. You can also rent horses and go riding for the day. You can also go to the museums in San Francisco that are only 20-25 minutes away.

**Disclosure**: My family lives in this house and we love it! As such, we occasionally have home renovation projects going on to keep our home looking its best. We do everything in our control to not have these projects impact our guests or their space. If you are staying with us when we are beautifying our home and it is impacting your enjoyment, please let us know right away. We will do what we can to address the issue as quickly as possible.

FAQ: Do you have cable or live sports access?

Answer: The TV is equipped with Roku. You can access any of the streaming platforms, but you will need to login with your own account credentials. If you want to watch a sporting event we suggest Old Princeton Landing, Ketch Joanne, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, Jersey Joes, or Cameron’s Pub.

FAQ: Is the backyard lawn area private or shared?

Answer:
The Airbnb unit is a completely private apartment. There is only one Airbnb rental on the property, so there aren’t other guests that you would need to worry about.

However, the backyard lawn area is shared with us (my family) in the main house and available to guests from 10 am until 8 pm each evening.

FAQ: Is the backyard lawn area attached to the Airbnb?

Answer: No, the backyard lawn area is a shared space and is located adjacent to the AirBnB, separated by a gate. You are more than welcome to use this space, in fact, we encourage it!

FAQ: How far is your house from the beach?

Answer: We are 0.4 miles to Surfer's Beach. It is an easy walk or bike ride away.

FAQ: Is there a kitchen in the unit?

Answer: Yes, there is a full kitchen including sink, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (coffee not included), etc. Please note, there is no dishwasher.

FAQ: I have a small, well behaved dog. Will you make an exception?

Answer: I'm sorry but we do not allow pet guests. We have two dogs on the property and having guests bring their pets creates a level of complexity and liability that we cannot manage. We do not make exceptions for the reasons noted above.

Miramar Beach is 2 miles north of downtown Half Moon Bay. The house is 3 blocks from the beach and the Coastal Bike and Hiking Trail. There are a few restaurants and cafes within walking distance. San Francisco is 45 minutes away. SFO is 35 minutes away. Bus stop is a block away.

The space
This is a private one bedroom apartment with a lovely, spotless fully equipped kitchen with granite countertop that is part of the living room with a gas fireplace heater. One bathroom with tiled shower. There is a full size refrigerator and gas stove, microwave, and an apartment size dishwasher for clean up. Many ways to brew coffee. Coffee, tea, sugar, honey provided for your stay! Spices and oils avail for cooking. Brita system for filtered water.
Portable oil filled radiator style heater in the bedroom, gas fireplace heater for living room and kitchen. There is counter top seating for working and a dining room table and chairs. There is a rolling desk for working also. You have your own locked patio door entrance from the back of the house. The place is decorated with Donny's original acrylic on canvas impressionist and abstrast art. We have good wifi for working, and a patio out back for morning coffee or relaxing with our garden view. BTW IF YOU BOOK 31 DAYS OR LONGER YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY THE OCCUPANCY TAXES, WHICH AIRBNB COLLECT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF HALF MOON BAY. There are two bedrooms to choose from, if you want to use both please let me know as there will be an additional charge.I also rent out my bedrooms upstairs, one to a friend and her son and another to Travel medical professionals. This is a private one bedroom apartment, your private entry is accessible via a gravel pathway to the back yard. There is a locking sliding glass patio door. The bathroom has a tiled shower, toilet and sink. Towels, and linens, shampoo, conditioner, liquid body wash, hair dryer provided.
I will provide coffee and teas, sugar and honey a few other condiments and spices available. Parking is available in the driveway, usually on the left hand side. You will share the driveway with us or the renter upstairs.

Other things to note
This is a apartment on the first floor of a two story home, there are no stairs involved. You will be accessing the space from the driveway in front to the backyard, with a gravel pathway. We may have a guest or two upstairs during your stay, in another private apartment. We have backyard chickens, which my caretaker comes by daily to feed. Wifi directions are located on the fireplace mantel, and directions of how to turn on the gas fireplace for warmth.
