This is an old Victorian Apt in a Triplex house. Entry in the from the back parking lot. It has one bed room with a Queen bed, kitchen with gas stove and dishwasher, bath with clawfoot tub/shower and a stackable washer/drier.
Wood and marble flooring throughout. One off street parking spot is included. It is a very short walk downtown and very convenient to all shops and services.

Please note: The apartment is located on Mission St (hwy 1) and has some traffic noise. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not the spot.

We didn’t use the fireplace, but it was great that it was there for the really cool nights. The grounds were as advertised all in all this property is great for a short stay. I don’t know that I would choose it for someplace where I was going to be for a week, but not disappointed at all with what I found when I got there . "

The lounge restaurant was closed for a high school reunion so that was back luck for me. On the positive the bed was probably the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. This estate has a rich past—originally a private hunting lodge in the 1950's and ’60's, it’s now being made available to the public for the very first time. We’re currently collaborating with the San Lorenzo Valley Museum to document more of its hidden history.

For the last 40 years, it’s been home to former executives from Apple, Oracle, HP, Adobe, Nvidia, and Motorola. The home has been thoughtfully remodeled to the highest standards, while preserving its original charm, including the wood-look natural gas fireplace in the main lodge.

- "My wife, two daughters (4 and 2), and I recently spent 4 days at West Cliff Hideaway. Simply put, this place has charm, attention to detail, and most importantly, location. Just a five minute walk down a scenic greenbelt (Bethany Curve), and you find yourself overlooking the legendary Santa Cruz coast along West Cliff Boulevard, arguably one of the premier walking/biking paths in the entire state. In regards to the unit, it sits in a quiet residential neighborhood on the west side of Santa Cruz. One thing we were worried about in renting in Santa Cruz was the knowledge that many homes are rented to UCSC students, and we didn't really want to be next to a "party" house. (My wife went to UCSC, and is a Slug alumni). Have no fear with this concern, as West Cliff Hideaway is quietly secluded, tucked behind Robin and Bill's (the owners') main house, just up a set of stairs. With the exception of walking down the driveway past the main house, you would never know the main house is even there. The outside patio, just adjacent to the entrance door, was an added bonus. It was perfect for us to store our bikes and bike trailer, which we had brought along for biking along West Cliff. Bill even offered us a tarp, if needed, as the weather couldn't really make up its mind on drizzling or having the sun shine through. Bill even gave me a call on our second day, noticing the weather might not cooperate, and offered us some suggestions that could accommodate the weather. While we already had planned some alternatives, we much appreciated the recommendations. We ended up biking down to Natural Bridges (from the Hideaway) on the first day to check out the tide pools with our girls. Past Natural Bridges there is also a great bike path that leads all the way over to Wilder Ranch, which is one of the premier mountain biking meccas in all of California. The following day we headed over to Roaring Camp Railroad in Felton for a ride on the vintage steam train, and a quick stop by the Bigfoot Museum. We also managed to squeeze in some hiking in the Pogonip Reserve, a quick stop by UCSC, a tad a of shopping in downtown, and obviously some excellent eating in the myriad of restaurants Santa Cruz has to offer. Without hesitation, I would recommend West Cliff Hideaway. Given the location, seclusion, amenities, and price, especially compared to other local hotels, do yourself and favor and experience the comfort and Santa Cruz vibe this Hideaway has to offer."

- "Our 5 week stay was wonderful. From check-in to check-out, Jill and her husband were very gracious hosts. Jill answered many questions I had before we even arrived, and if something came up while we were there, she responded immediately (even when she was out of town). The casita's kitchen is well equipped, with everything needed to cook. The hot tub, which is heated 24/7 was immaculate ( the service guy came every Monday while we were there). We had lovely meals out on the patio in the backyard, with very nice shade from the beautiful trees. The living area furniture is a bit dated, and a coffee table or ottoman would be nice, but otherwise fine.As far as the bedrooms, they were both very nice and the beds were comfy. Some extra pillows would be great. We have family in the area ( 1 block away) and we will be returning to SC next summer for another long stay. Because the casita is on an alleyway and not on a main street, it is super quiet (all you can really hear is the sea lions at the wharf!) Thank you Jill for being such a wonderful host. This stylish, adorable, lovingly-maintained, Westside home is located in a central yet peaceful neighborhood. Take one of our beach cruisers for a short bike ride Downtown, to Mission Street, New Leaf market, the Harbor and beyond. You'll never need to get into your car.

Our well-appointed, but simple home includes an outdoor area that feels very much like part of the home. For a small house, the two bedrooms, loft, kitchen and living room are all quite spacious with loads of natural light. The sunny kitchen is great for entertaining and is outfitted with new appliances, good knives, and stocked with basic supplies like olive oil and spices. The master bedroom has a wonderful King bed, and TV. The second bedroom has a double bed. The loft has a fold-out Queen bed and TV. The living area has comfortable seating and a desk with an iMac.

If it’s exercise you desire, you can clear your head with a 5-mile run on the gorgeous sea wall, winding along the secluded beaches and rocky outcroppings. Stroll out to West Cliff, where the world-class surf ranges from beginner to pro. Pedal up to the stunning UCSC campus or wilder ranch for amazing mountain biking, or just blaze down the scenic coast highway on your roadbike.

Our 1928 carriage house apartment is situated in historic Beach Hill. It has been recently renovated, yet much of the original charm has been maintained. It is a perfect spot for families or small groups - close to many tourist spots yet located in a residential neighborhood.
Cowell's Beach (boogie boarding and surfing), Steamer's Lane (advanced surfing), Monterey Exploration Center, Boardwalk, wharf, Warriors basketball stadium, downtown, and West Cliff Drive (bike/walking path along the ocean) are all a quick 5 minute walk from our house.
The apartment is located in a private garden setting, away from the main street, behind our home. We hope you will love this historical neighborhood as much as we do!

Getting Around:
Multiple bus lines pass 3 blocks away. Biking is convenient to get downtown or to the beach and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Uber and Lyft is also very convenient and are widely used around here . It's about a $7-$8 Uber ride to downtown or the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.

Your home features two bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a king memory foam bed, work desk, wardrobe organizer and TV. Under the king bed you will find the baby bath, travel crib and luggage stands. The second bedroom has 3 twin memory foam beds (1 bunk bed and 1 single). A retro arcade gaming experience with 1,000+ games is connected to the TV in this bedroom. There is a dresser with some children's books. The modern bathroom includes all your toiletries and fresh clean towels.

Guest Access:
The entire home and swimming pool is for you only! The oval pool is roughly 15' x 30' and is for your private use. The pool is not shared with others.

There is a second rental home, not included, called "Redwood Grove". It flanks the other side of the pool and it is separated and closed off from the pool area. If rented together with Redwood Oasis, Redwood Grove can also access the pool area through a locked gate.

This home offers two off-street parking spaces for compact to mid-sized cars in front of the home, reserved just for you. Do not block the long driveway to the second home.

A cozy and clean cottage, adjoining a larger home, with trees all around and a small view of the Monterey Bay - very beautiful and the perfect escape ! The drive in (through the Cowell redwoods) was really gorgeous, and the town of Felton itself was charming, with a number of restaurant choices. And breakfast on the coast in Davenport was ideal - sunny, while Santa Cruz was still fog-bound. The cottage has a well-stocked kitchen, and we almost chose to cook dinner at home; but we enjoyed lounging in the cottage's cool, fragrant evening air after our restaurant dinner instead. Marvelous bed, comfortable Adirondack chairs, GREAT towels - a wonderful spot to relax !"

- "Enjoyed the secluded and beautiful views this unique property has to share. You can watch the sunrise from any part of the house as well as the sunset. Views reach all the way out to the Monterey bay and surrounding areas. The hot tub is also a nice way to wind down and enjoy the stars at night. The house itself is very cozy, layed out and has all the amenities you need to make yourself at home. The small cul de sac is very quiet and easy to find of the main road. Wanted a feature friendly but private getaway for our wedding anniversary and Rebecca was extremely easy to work with, even went so far as to arrange champagne and flowers when we arrived! Everything was better than expected and had zero issues at all. Would very much recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing and quiet place to get away from it all but still close enough to go into town."

Much care has been taken during the recent decorating and design project, providing a quality eye-pleasing and comfotable experience for our guests. We have worked hard to make this a fun, clean and enjoyable place with many extras, including two-tone paint, and various fixture and appliance upgrades.

Kick off your shoes and pick your favorite bedroom! This lovely home boasts two bedrooms and a private sleeping loft providing comfortable and enjoyable sleeping options for everyone. The main downstairs bedroom is private with new King Sealy Posturepedic mattress. Relax and enjoy the lovely space which includes eye-pleasing design and cable television. The second bedroom has two twin beds with comfy bedding and eye-pleasing decore. Venture up to the sleeping loft for a private and cozy king bed and twin bed option as well, complete with love seat for relaxing or reading your favorite book. Each sleeping area provides bedding including extra pillows and blankets to ensure your comfort.

The lovely bathroom won't disappoint, with tub/shower combo and pleasant decorator options included to enhance your enjoyment. Ample towels and tolietry items are provided, as well.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with lovely counters, cabinetry, sink, electric stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Pots, pans, dishes, flatware and cooking items are included for easy meal preparation. Serving and dining are easy and efficient at the large dining table, as well.

The open concept floor plan offers comfortable party-style living with adjoining family room/living room, kitchen and dining areas. Relaxation is the name of the game here!

Year-round and outdoor adventures are just minutes away at the various beaches found up and down CA-1, including the beach just steps away and across the highway with a slight climb downward to the sand/water.

You-pick farms can be found along the road with locally grown items for sale as well. Mountain biking and hiking activities are plentiful. The nearby Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk offers seasonal amusement opportunities. The Santa Cruz Wharf provides fun shopping and dining options with fresh sea food treats and many souvenir shops to explore. Try the local taffy made at the wharf candy store for a special treat! Half Moon Bay is about 40 miles north and San Francisco 70 miles north on CA-1. This coastal drive provides breath-taking water and coastline views as you drive through the charming coastal towns along the way. A fun drive 60 miles south on CA 1 provides opportunities for Monterey and Carmel area exploration. Visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium or explore the famous Pebbble Beach 17-Mile Drive with its amazing views and lavish properties.
