- "This location is PERFECT!. Sit on the deck to watch and listen to the ducks in the creek. Watch the egrets fish. Walk out the back door to the river path and stroll 3 mins to downtown. Sweet spot!. The beds are very comfortable. Tons of parking for being so close to town. The gas fireplace is a cozy treat. We ate in almost every morning and night with our local relatives and the kitchen was very accomodating. I didn't even need to search for the input on the stereo for my i-Pod, a cord was already hooked up! Great spot Steve! Thanks again! "

Once you park your car you will never get back in it! This home is located on a quiet street in the heart of Capitola Village and is only steps from the beach, quaint shops, great restaurants, breath taking views, and all the live music and libations one could ask for.
This cozy home has one bedroom with a double bed. A queen size convertible couch is in the living room. The loft with skylight is a great place for the kids with their own T.V. There is also a double sized bed.
Everything is remodeled and freshly painted with new quality linens and towels. The many windows and new screen door keep everything airy and bright. If you prefer to stay in there is a complete modern kitchen.
We pay attention to every detail in hopes of providing you with a fun and comfortable place to stay. Come see for yourself why Capitola is one of California's most popular coastal cities.

The Pink Venetian (lower unit) is on the sand of Capitola Beach - the perfect place for the ultimate beach vacation!
This clean and comfortable studio features one queen bed and a pull-out couch which allow 4 guests to sleep comfortably in the studio. There is NO full kitchen in this unit. There is a sink, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and basic dishes and cutlery; a dining area, one full bathroom; and a washer and dryer. This is the downstairs unit of a duplex, the front door of this unit is directly in front of the sand of Capitola Beach.
Beach chairs, umbrellas, and an assortment of fun beach games are provided for your entertainment. Please note: this home is located beachfront- literally steps from the sand. There will most likely be people close to the entryway , and you will probably hear and see them. Please be aware of that before booking.
A parking pass for free street parking around Capitola Village is also provided during your stay.

There’s one TV set in the living room. It was easy to hook up our fire stick and very easy to use the WIFI. The walk to Margaritavill was easy it takes about two minutes. I could put our names on the waitlist and walk back to get ready. We had a few issues but management was on top of it. All in all we had a really nice vacation. The room can easily hear the street noise. Everything calms down early except for Saturday night. That was the only night that was noisy. To be expected. The walk to the beach was a breeze. I’m not sure how many times I took a quick walk to the beach at all times. I felt safe the whole time so did the kids."

The entire apartment is located on the second floor above your private parking garage. The main room features a features two sofas (one which pulls out to a queen bed), a large flat-screen with Apple TV, a desk, a dining area for six, and a sliding door leading to a small patio.
The kitchen has granite tile counter tops, a dishwasher, a gas stove, a microwave, and all basic kitchen appliances and supplies. Awasher and dryer in a laundry area off the kitchen.

- "This is a very very nice apartment. Much nicer than the photos reveal. We enjoyed staying here and would recommend to anyone. Minor points: the garage is VERY small, but the company provides a parking pass for the street in front (don't park on the Main Street with it though, that is not permitted with the permit). Really could use some blackout blinds. Not sure why places don't have them as standard. Besides these two points we loved the place, one block to the beach and restaurants and Capitola is very cute and quaint. We has A LOT of fun and will be back!!"

Be aware that the only downstairs bathroom is accessed through one of the bedrooms, so you'll want to be on very friendly terms with all members of your party, esp if you are in the other downstairs room and need to use the bathroom during the night. Perfect location , within walking to distance to everything: shop’s restaurants, the beach etc ( 2 restaurants right across the street) neighborhood is very quiet at night.. but there is quite a bit of traffic during the day. The rental includes one covered parking space at the unit. There is a public parking lot 2 blocks down the road that has 12 hour paid parking and free overnight parking ( our adult kids brought their own car) parking on the street can be challenging as only a 3 hour limit. The spiral staircase to the upstairs loft is beautiful but could be challenging for older folks. There is a queen pull out couch on the first level that is very comfortable. ( we let the young adults traverse the spiral staircase to the queen bed in the loft) Overall, we had a fabulous long weekend!"

- The area has a vibrant, lively atmosphere during the day and into the evening, with travelers and local activity until around 11 p.m. Traffic flow can be moderate, though the street the house is on is relatively quiet compared to other main roads.
- We have landscapers, pest service, and other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you.

- "This place is very nice, but there are some aspects that I wish would have been mentioned in the posting. The driveway to enter the property is very steep. I feel like it ended up adding a lot of extra wear and tear on my vehicle that I didn’t really plan for. Also the other side of the driveway is pretty steep also so if you don’t have good knees, you might have some problem with the incline of this entire property. Also in the middle of summer, it gets kind of warm even with all the windows open and the fan going we were averaging 80°. it is also pretty loud staying at this property considering you want to keep all windows open so it doesn’t get stuffy. The vehicles on all sides are driving by at all hours of the night. Loud trucks and motorcycles at all hours. Aside from these two aspects, the property was just as described, very clean and pretty comfortable. Central location to the beach and shops which is what made it so appealing."

Right on the river and completely remodeled to provide the best, relaxing experience on your get-away. Enjoy the view of the river from the deck on lounge chairs. In the evening settle in around the fire pit. And yes, walk to downtown Capitola as you're right on the path that leads to the esplanade. As you enter into the backyard you'll find lushly landscaped space with BBQ, picnic table and an outdoor shower. Literally everything in this unique home is brand new. Beach chairs, towels and a wagon!
You will find 3 security cameras on the exterior of the property used ONLY when guests are not booked in the house. They are used for security during vacancies.

This newly constructed duplex (2023) duplicates the original historic facade (unit A) and bedroom layout of the home built in 1921. The original home was only 778 sq ft! The original vacation house was constructed using 4 housing "shacks" from the San Francisco 1909 earthquake. The shacks were brought by barge to coastal front areas for vacation use.

Sweet, original, a little quirky- 1930's bungalow- close to gorgeous beaches, ocean views, surf spots, Pleasure Point, 41st Ave. shops and restaurants, Capitola Village. Thoughtfully furnished with comfort in mind; walk to Whole Foods and make use of the full kitchen, have a movie night in with Netflix. Or, take a walk or short drive to world-class restaurants like the Shadowbrook Inn, stroll to the cliffs or the Village to take in stunning views of Monterey Bay. We really do have it all here!
The space
Our sweet little two bedroom, one bathroom bungalow is the ideal retreat for couples, families and individuals on vacation, as well as for business travel. We're close to entertainment and gorgeous scenery locally, and to the Bay Area and Silicon Valley.
-We have books, games and streaming TV in the living room to keep you entertained, a full kitchen with everything you need for cooking, baking and entertaining. There are two bedrooms, one with a four poster queen size bed with luxurious pillow top mattress, and the other with a soft and supportive queen size memory foam mattress. The bedrooms do not have TV. The bathroom is small, and is located between the two bedrooms with access from each room.
-The walls are decorated with photographs I've taken from the Northern California coast as well as Santa Cruz-themed photos. Please make use of the dining room, WiFi and a desk space for work, mini ironing board and iron, coffee maker, Keurig, hair dryer and extra toiletries in case you forget anything. We have a comfy chair in the living room that can be folded down and potentially used as a bed for a smaller child, and the couch could also be slept on by a child as well.
-We want your stay to be as comfortable and easy as possible, so we feel it is important to know that our home is old, an original bungalow built in 1930 and has a few quirks and funky things that you may want to know about. There are some aesthetic imperfections in our old doors and woodwork, and the bathtub has some paint splatters that are not stains, but it is not perfect looking. The floors have shifted in a few places and there are a few spots where the laminate is not flush and the floor bows up, so there is some creaking when it is walked on. In addition some of our windows and doors are a little finicky. Everything works, but we want our guests to know our home is a work in progress that is comfortable but not perfect. We figure it is best to have this clear beforehand because we want to make sure this house is exactly what you're looking for and meets your expectations.
Guest access
The entire front house is available, as well as the front porch. The side yards are not currently available for use. There is a back separate area with two studios that are used by the owner who lives in one of the back studios, and us, which we will access from the side yard when we are here, and we can interact as much or as little as you like.
Other things to note
Please do not disturb any of our neighbors and respect their privacy. Please observe quiet hours between 9 PM and 9 AM. As stated in the rules, guests who reserve with us agree that they have read and understood everything in the entire listing. As such we will not issue refunds due to dissatisfaction with things that we have made note of beforehand, like the creaking floors or the potential for noise due to said floors, or occasional noise from delivery trucks to nearby stores.

- The unit is small, but well decorated with high end finishes and touches like the massive TVs and Cozy King beds. The Unit is on the second story with an entrance through a staircase from the private floor level entrance. Please note the stair banister, although it has a baby gate, the banister rails are not to current code with 4" spacing, so it may not be ideal for small children in the unit. The room with the shower is in a different room than the toilet room. Also, there is a unit below, please be courteous of noise levels.

Please bring your own blankets to avoid any soap or fabric allergies . You will have a 64 inch TV with several streaming apps. A full size Pac-Man Arcade Game for 2 for your enjoyment along with some family board games for you to enjoy .You will have a full size retro refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker for you to use . The bungalow itself is super comfortable and casually stylish. It has been fully renovated with the conveniences of a modern home and has its own off-street parking stall. It has an inviting yet secluded front courtyard and porch with a relaxing atmosphere; and a secure beautifully landscaped private and quiet backyard complete with outdoor dining area, firepit and lounge seating, outdoor shower, propane BBQ equipment, and a cedar soaking hot tub. All undeniably perfect for a relaxing staycation.
The bungalow is bright and clean, fully equipped with comfortable King size bed and lux linens-- blackout shades in the bedroom add to the level of sleeping comfort. The Livingroom has an attractive and functional thermostatically controlled Kozy Heat gas fireplace with adjustable blower fan and dimmable light feature for just the right ambiance. The tidy bathroom has a large accommodating frameless glass shower stall. The kitchen is sufficiently stocked with a gas cooktop range, modern Leibherr refrigerator and stainless steel appliances, all the cooking equipment, utensils and tools needed to produce delectable homecooked meals. A BonJour French Press is present for brewing your favorite fresh ground coffee. There are wine glasses, wine/liquor storage space, cocktail glasses and bar tools within the extendable bar cabinet as well. We have a stackable washer and dryer unit on the premises. There are plenty of outdoor seating options, cushions and pillows stored in one of two outdoor storage units to enjoy the great outdoor spaces. There are also four (4) folding beach chairs, a beach umbrella, ice chest, frisbee, volleyball and paddle ball sets, beach towels, and a collapsible beach wagon neatly stored to haul all beach amenities on your walking excursion(s) down to the beach.

Our beach cottage is listed on the National Historic Register as the Six Sisters-Lawn Way Historic District (87000623). The Lawn Way cottages were built at the turn of the century as part of Camp Capitola which grew into Capitola as we know it today.

500 Square feet historic cottage features a one bedroom and bathroom with a living area that includes seating and kitchen. Guest may use beach chairs and portable small table located in the storage bin outside the back door in the alley to sit on Lawn Way or to use at the beach. Just steps from your door, you'll find great restaurants, lively nightlife, and numerous shops. Capitola is a historic and atmospheric coastal town with plenty of surf spots and boutique shops. The town is beloved by beachgoers and surfers, yet it retains its distinctive and quaint character.
The unit includes a reserved parking space for your convenience. Additionally, a shared laundry room with a coin-operated washer and dryer is available for use. One dog is allowed with a $75 non-refundable pet fee, but please note that due to the close proximity of the other apartments on the property, we ask that the dog is not left unattended in the unit due to noise concerns.

Welcome to one of the cutest little cottages in Capitola Village! This charming two-bedroom, one-bath beach cottage is located mere steps from downtown Capitola Village’s shops, cafes, restaurants, and sandy beaches.
This cottage has been thoughtfully updated and refreshed while still retaining its charms as one of the original Capitola summer beach cottages. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, while the second bedroom has a twin bunk bed, making this a perfect home for a family vacation. Nice open living and dining area, full kitchen with new appliances, quartz countertops, and plenty of room for meal prep. The bathroom has a shower stall only, there is not a bathtub.
There is a delightful front porch for watching the beachgoers stroll by, and a small rear patio with a barbecue. Charming vintage touches abound in this home, making it a great place for making memories either as a romantic weekend getaway, or a summer family vacation. One dog is allowed with the payment of a $50 non-refundable pet fee.
Please note: there is street parking only, and no dedicated parking spot. You will be provided with a Village Parking Pass to place on your dashboard.
