The cabin is located on a beautiful mountain road, however it is narrow (1 lane), windy, sometimes bumpy, and not well lit at night. You may see wild turkey, deer, rabbits, and dozens of small bird species along the drive including blue jays, quails, and roadrunners.

Three flights of stairs assure a gorgeous view, but they also might be difficult for those with any mobility issues. But once you reach the welcoming front porch, you'll have a perfect outdoor spot for reading a book or sipping morning coffee.

This Felton cabin boasts tall ceilings, a woodstove, comfortable furniture, and even WiFi so you can stay in touch. Entertainment amenities include cable TV and a DVD player so you'll be able to gather everyone around for an after-dinner movie.

There is a large front deck at cabin level with a fire fixture, tables, chairs, umbrellas, fountain. Located in a quiet neighborhood near the end of the
road. The houses are rather far apart. The cabin is up off of the road which gives you a tree house view and total privacy.

Free-range crawlers and toddlers must be supervised as this is not a 'baby-proofed' venue..

This is not a 'rager party house', as the neighborhood quiet time is 10pm to 8am. Caretaker lives nearby. If you have any questions during your stay, please feel free to call.

- "Stayed with my adult son for a weekend getaway. Just a perfect place for a peaceful relaxing time in an unbelievably gorgeous setting. Quiet, comfortable, with enough room for individual time as well as time for togetherness and great conversation. Very clean, well furnished, everything worked perfectly. There are steps up to the porch and between levels, and some uneven ground, so won't be ideal for anyone with real mobility issues. But I'm in my seventies, and it was absolutely fine for me. Being in the redwoods, it can get chilly, but put on a sweater and it's very comfortable. Even had a lovely conversation over coffee with the neighbor across the road! Just perfect. Your home features two bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a king memory foam bed, work desk, wardrobe organizer and TV. Under the king bed you will find the baby bath, travel crib and luggage stands. The second bedroom has 3 twin memory foam beds (1 bunk bed and 1 single). A retro arcade gaming experience with 1,000+ games is connected to the TV in this bedroom. There is a dresser with some children's books. The modern bathroom includes all your toiletries and fresh clean towels.

Guest Access:
The entire home and swimming pool is for you only! The oval pool is roughly 15' x 30' and is for your private use. The pool is not shared with others.

There is a second rental home, not included, called "Redwood Grove". It flanks the other side of the pool and it is separated and closed off from the pool area. If rented together with Redwood Oasis, Redwood Grove can also access the pool area through a locked gate.

This home offers two off-street parking spaces for compact to mid-sized cars in front of the home, reserved just for you. Do not block the long driveway to the second home.

Relax in the back yard inside the spa, at the huge picnic table or on the adirondack chairs while enjoying the majestic giant trees.

Bedroom 1: California King bed with memory foam mattress and Tempur-Pedic topper provides for a magical night's sleep. A comfy chair and a small TV are in the room. There is plenty of space in the closet for clothes and other items. The upstairs bathroom with tub/shower is right outside the bedroom door.

Bedroom 2: This bedroom is inspired by the Roaring Camp Railroad. Queen bed with memory foam mattress and Tempur-Pedic topper. Medium sized TV in the room. Standard closet and luggage racks. PLEASE NOTE: the bunk room access is through this room. So privacy is somewhat limited. The shelves in the room have board games for your group!

Bedroom 4: Discovery Grove bunk room. Saving the best for last! This room is themed to match the Mount Hermon adventures that surround us just outside the house. Two tree house themed bunk beds with a suspension bridge in between them. A rope ladder to access the upper bunk. Murals surround you with redwoods. The wall opposite the beds has a climbing wall! Four beds for the adventurous kids in your group. No closet space in this room.

There is plenty of space for three cars in our parking spots front of the home. The road to the home is very narrow, so drive carefully and be mindful of neighbors.
Other things to note
While this home is set up for a medium to large group, this is not a party house. The home is located in the middle of a tightknit community and we ask that all guests be respectful of their surroundings.

Also, the access to the bunk room is THROUGH the queen bedroom. So privacy is somewhat limited for guests sleeping in the queen bedroom.

This house is in the middle of a redwood forest. Redwood trees are notorious for constantly dropping branches, fronds and seedpods. As such, the deck and yard will likely have these materials strewn about even if the house was just cleaned. Also, because it is a forest, the terrain can be rough in the backyard and may not be suitable for children who are prone to injury. Please keep an eye on your children while outside.

Our boys loved it! The property was so clean and well appointed. The art work in the bunk room was gorgeous and the boys loved the bunks and the bridge between them. My granddaughter found the boardwalk room to be delightful. CornHole. Hot tub under the patio lights. Trampoline. Tetherball. Games. This place is perfect for a vacation! Summary:
Need a place for multiple groups or families? Stay together on the same property with the convenience of three separate homes with a sparkling pool and hot tub. There are two main homes. Each has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath ("Redwood Oasis" and "Redwood Grove"). A bonus studio cottage has 1 bedroom and 1 bath ("Redwood Nook"). Ample driveway parking (up to 7 cars). Outdoor patio areas for full sun poolside lounging, grilling on the BBQ, fire pit - a nice ambience both day and night!

The Space:
Each home is newly remodeled and modern. The "Redwood Oasis" home has views of the sparkling blue pool off the living and dining areas. Inside you'll find the master bedroom with king bed and a second bedroom with three twin beds (bunk and single). On the other side of the pool is "Redwood Grove" - A home with two bedrooms (one with a king bed plus garden view and another with a queen bed plus office nook), and private enclosed patio. "Redwood Nook" is a cozy studio bedroom with a kitchenette and bath with a front entrance facing the backyard. All homes are fully stocked with all your cooking and dining essentials. Around the pool you'll find sun loungers, pool toys, BBQ grill and fire pit.

Guest Access:
The entire property including all three homes, pool, hot tub, backyard and driveways. Only the garage and shed are not accessible.

The Neighborhood:
This home is located in a charming rural mountain town and is within walking distance (8 min walk) to Henry Cowell State Redwood Park, home to old growth forests, spectacular redwood giants, and picturesque hiking and biking trails. Next door to the state park is Roaring Camp Railroads offering steam train rides through the redwoods and activities for children in their western style train station. You are close to downtown Felton's quaint boutique shops and gourmet eateries. Just a quick 20 minute drive to Santa Cruz beaches, Boardwalk amusement park and more.

Getting Around:
Parking is easy in and around Felton. If you enjoy walking, you can easily walk 10-20 minutes to Henry Cowell State Park, Felton Library, Farmer's market (seasonal) and downtown Felton shops and restaurants. Otherwise, they are just a few minutes away by car.

Other Things to Note:
Up to two dogs (under 50 lbs each) are welcome—$50 per pet. All pets must be house-trained, crated if left unattended, leashed when outdoors, and kept off furniture and beds.

Please note: During winter storms or high winds, the area may occasionally experience power or internet outages.

For safety, pool use is not permitted during heavy rain or storms. Pool hours are 8 AM to 8 PM. Guests requesting pool heating must do so at least 24 hours in advance; a daily heating fee applies with a two-day minimum. (The pool will not be heated on check-out day.)

Laundry use is unavailable during the winter rainy season.

Your stay also includes exclusive use of the hot tub, nestled in the serene backyard retreat. Gate entry instructions can be found in the house binder. To help us maintain a peaceful environment, please observe quiet hours from 9 PM to 8 AM

- "It was a very nice complex of small homes. We rented all 3 for my family for my daughter’s wedding. It was very clean and comfortable. It did take a little time for communication by email. The program thru VRBO said we only rented 1 house 2 people. So that was a little scary. I thought it was a little pricey for private home. They should have flash lights because the whole town was with no power. They had a few solar path lights in front and driveway. The beds were comfortable. We were in the middle unit with king bed. Our room was cool but the rest of the house was very cold and set at same temperature. The pool was nice but they close at 8 pm we paid for heating the pool. But our rehearsal dinner and wedding took up most the time. So didn’t really use it. Just a quick dip for my 3 yr old grandson. But it served our purpose. It’s in a tiny little town with not much going on. But it was close to the state park relatively close to Ben Lomond. Comfortable for the family. "

The Space
Our enchanting tree fort blends cozy charm with a touch of luxury. On the deck, you’ll discover illuminated stained glass windows, hand-painted doors, and soft lighting that creates a magical atmosphere among the trees. The deck features natural wood accents, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, and a hammock for ultimate relaxation.

Inside, there’s a cute kitchenette for meal prep including a microwave, Keurig with coffee pods, toaster, kettle, and a Blackstone grill for outdoor cooking.

The A-frame canvas tent offers a lovely and spacious bedroom. The Casper queen bed provides a restful sleep with fresh linens and multiple pillow options. There is a reading nook with a lamp, 2 bedside tables with lamps, a chandelier, a chest at the end of the bed with extra blankets, & luggage racks.

While colder weather calls for warm clothing, the provided heated blanket and heater ensure the tent stays cozy.

In warm weather, you have the option to leave the tent open or use the mosquito screen (not usually necessary). A fan is provided as well.

For added comfort, the private attached bathroom includes an indoor/outdoor shower, toilet, sink, mirror, hair dryer, towels, soap, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner.

It will be an amazing experience however please keep in mind that it is outdoor living, and a little mess can come with the adventure. For example- redwood trees tend to drop leaves and tiny pinecones often and the tannin can stain items left outside. For that reason, we recommend storing clothing and other items inside the tent or bathroom. We also recommend storing food inside the cupboards (not the tent) so the tree squirrels don't try to help themselves.

Wildlife spottings have included deer, red tail hawks, owls (heard at night especially), blue belly lizards, frogs, turkeys, tree squirrels, raccoons, and rarely (if we're lucky) bobcats & foxes. Please be aware that mountain lions have been seen in the neighborhood. Have no fear, you'll be perfectly safe in the trees but we don't recommend taking a stroll at night.

Enjoy complete privacy at Redwood Ridge Tree Fort, with the entire space exclusively yours. Tucked away at the end of a quiet mountain cul-de-sac, you'll experience minimal traffic. The tree fort is easily accessible via a short set of stairs near your designated parking area, with a porch light guiding your way if you arrive after dark. At the top of the stairs, you'll find a locking gate for added security.

You’ll feel miles away from it all but it only takes 5 minutes to get to the fun town of Felton.

The cabin is in a neighborhood with redwood trees, wildlife such as turkeys, coyotes, raccoons and skunks. I open and share my home for a minimum 30 day stay or more needed by someone who a visiting professional, or someone needing temp housing. I have a 13 year old very sweet pug. I am retired and travel frequently.

The space
This is a downstairs unit with a private entrance. There is one designated parking spot. The house is 1.5 flights of stairs up from the parking area. Inside there is a living area with a kitchenette, large bathroom and a bedroom. A shared laundry area is accessed through a door you can lock. Kitchen adventures are limited to what you can do with a portable induction cooktop, a microwave and a toaster oven. Other appliances may be available upon request. There is also a private outdoor patio for lounging and dining with a BBQ.

Guests will have the entire lower unit and the outdoor patio area to themselves. The small parking area is shared, but guests have a designated parking spot (trucks might be a tight fit; no long beds) and the staircase to/from the parking area is used by both the host and guest.

Other things to note
There are two cats and 15 chickens on the property (but no Roosters, thank goodness!). Cats are exclusively indoors and upstairs. Interaction with the chickens is voluntary. ; ) In the morning, laying hens can often be heard. The hens love kitchen scraps and in spring/summer we often have eggs to share!

The apartment is a fully furnished downstairs unit complete with living room, kitchen, full bath, laundry, and bedroom with a large closet and queen bed. The Redwood Retreat is accessible by car. For the last road on the drive, it is a one lane, two way road. It's steep at times, but this part of the drive is only around one minute.

Once you park there are exterior stairs to then get to the front entrance of the apartment.

The nature nook is an upstairs studio guest house with a private deck and patio area.

Westy is a 1979 VW Westfalia that is all original, a unique experience that you will never forget. The Westy is equipped with a massive goose down duvet from Pacific Coast Feather Co. to keep you cozy, water heater, a french-press coffee maker, coffee, half/half and sugar are available.

You are hooked up to electricity for your mobile devices (YES and WiFi), and lights. Equipped with a portable heater, and extra blankets, should you need it.

The kitchenette has a small sink, mini fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, tea kettle and small toaster oven. It does have some of the basic utensils and dishes but is not quite big enough to do some serious meal prep.

The cottage is heated by a portable radiator heater which keeps it cozy in the winter months. It does not have A/C, in the summer there is portable fan.

Guests have private access to the cottage and fenced-in yard area which includes the hot tub. You'll share a parking area with the hosts. The chicken coop is near the parking area, feel free to say hi to the ladies!

Other things to note
Limited cell reception and a small windy one lane road to get there so we recommend arriving during the daytime, if possible. There is parking for one car only. The main house is occupied and is adjacent to the fenced in yard area. Because you're off the beaten path, it's difficult for Ubers or Lyfts to pick up from this location, a car is needed to access. It does rain here quite a bit in the winter and with those storms can come power outages. We do have a generator for the property, if there is an extended outage.

There is also a queen-size bed in an actual loft; climbing the pictured ladder to the loft will be necessary to sleep there. The loft is above the main room, also pictured. You will also enjoy a private indoor bathroom and shower, in addition to the outdoor shower and soaking tub.

There is a shared wall with good acoustic isolation- neighboring tenants are quiet and friendly.

Three flights of stairs assure a gorgeous view, but they also might be difficult for those with any mobility issues. But once you reach the welcoming front porch, you'll have a perfect outdoor spot for reading a book or sipping morning coffee.

This Felton cabin boasts tall ceilings, a woodstove, comfortable furniture, and even WiFi so you can stay in touch. Entertainment amenities include cable TV and a DVD player so you'll be able to gather everyone around for an after-dinner movie.

Tranquility Base is a 600 Sq ft cabin with high ceilings in every room except the bathroom. The bedroom has a queen bed, cable TV, private entry door as well as a door common to the house. In the closets there are folding futons, roll-away bed, porta crib. The bathroom has a large, roomy shower, no bathtub.

The Buddha Bed RV will be unlocked for you to use. A bamboo queen bed with solar and vent fan.

Noise limits: Comply with standards of Santa Cruz County Code 8.30: quiet hours 10PM – 8AM every day. No use of equipment requiring more than standard household electrical current at 110 volts or activities that produce noise, dust, odor, or vibration detrimental to occupants of adjoining dwellings is allowed within the hosted rental room.
Food. No cooking shall be allowed in any guest room or in any bathroom. Food service, if provided, shall be limited to breakfast served to guests only, and shall be subject to applicable regulations of the Santa Cruz County Environmental Health department.
Pets (if allowed by the owner). Pets shall be secured on the property at all times. Continual nuisance barking by unattended pets is prohibited.

Trash management. Guests are responsible for taking out the trash and recycling from the home to the outside bins at the end of their stay. Trash and recycling pick-up day is Monday. Guests are responsible for taking the trash and recycling bins out to the driveway by 7pm Sunday night.

We are nestled on an acre of land with many towering trees to stare at and wonder. Our small cabin is a great place to find wind down for a weekend getaway, a recharge from a long road trip, or the home base for enjoying the town and what the area has to offer.

Our main home shares the property with our guest cabin. We have two very adventurous, happy children. They love to explore our land for mushrooms, salamanders, and insects. They love to meet new people, however, they are aware that our guests privacy is priority. We have four, happy, free ranging chickens, and two friendly, loving cats. It won't be uncommon to see any of these creatures enjoying the outdoors. There is also the wildlife that may visit from time to time; wild turkeys, deer, Stellar's Jay, and even bobcats. On some evenings you may hear the call and answer of some resident Great Horned Owls.

There is an access path to the cabin. Please take notice that this is a mountain property and is not best suitable for guests who may have a hard time walking. Guests will have access to the guest cabin and patio behind it.

Our charming 1930's Cottage sits central on three fairly flat mountain acres facing the main house and barn, but guests have privacy with their own entrance and porch.

The Cottage has a comfortable queen bed in a roomy bedroom with a wood-burning stove, a recently updated en suite bathroom with tub, a small kitchenette with stove and fridge, a sit-down dining table for three, and a living space with a sofa-bed and TV. WiFi and Netflix are available, as are some reading books and a few classic boardgames and decks of cards for those enjoying a real "unplugged" vacation.

Like most homes in the coastal area, the cottage does not have central air-conditioning; fans and heaters are provided for guest use depending on the season. The cottage was recently re-roofed and all the original windows have been upgraded.

Guest access
The Cottage has it's own wisteria-decked porch and seating. A walkway from the parking area leads around the cottage to the porch and front door. A massive redwood tree next to the cottage provides privacy.

You're welcome to explore and enjoy the property, including visiting our redwood fairy circles and Shingle Mill Creek which borders our land. Parents will need to supervise their kid's explorations at all times (poison oak is a fact of life in our neck of the woods - if you're not sure what it looks like, we can point it out to you)!

Other things to note
The Cottage is great for couples, solo travelers, and business travelers. The Cottage is an older building and not baby or toddler proofed, so although we're open to hosting younger guests, parents of wee ones will have to exercise caution.

We provide a set of towels per guest for your stay. If you join us for longer than a few days we're happy to provide more.

We clearly love animals and enjoy not only our own but the wild deer, turkeys, and nocturnal animals that also visit our property regularly. For the safety of our wild and domesticated friends on the property - and to be sensitive to guests with allergies - we cannot host your furry friends when you stay at the Cottage.

The Santa Cruz Mountains were directly impacted by the CZU Lightning Fires in 2020, and subsequent related weather evacuations in early 2021. Our area has been subject to Pacific Gas & Electric Planned Maintenance Outages of between 24-72 hours. These power outages happen during times of especially high wind activity during fire season (typically May through December). In addition, the Bay Area is sometimes subject to a Spare the Air alert, and wood burning fires are not allowed, and so the cottage's wood burning stove may not be available to you during your stay. We will let guests know when either of these fire season precautions may overlap with a visit, but because they are weather-related, they often happen on short notice.

- There is one reserved parking spot available, and unfortunately there is no additional parking in the neighborhood so please plan accordingly.
- This is a cozy duplex with a shared wall, so you may occasionally hear noise from the neighboring unit.
- Nestled up in the beautiful mountains, this home enjoys a natural setting and all its unique elements, including occasional power outages or shifting weather. We recommend trip insurance to ensure peace of mind for any unexpected delays.
- The area is rich with wildlife, so you may spot some local bugs and critters.
- Cell service can be limited here, but we provide reliable Wi-Fi for your convenience. Please note that, while generally dependable, Wi-Fi can occasionally experience brief outages.
- The hot tub and BBQ area are shared with the neighboring unit. You can reserve the area for an hourly fee through a reservation system shared after booking. For the comfort of all guests, hot tub use and outdoor activities are limited to the hours between 8 AM and 9 PM.
- We have landscapers, pest service, hot tub, and other services when applicable] other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you.
- TV is a smart tv with streaming capabilities. There are no cable or local channels.
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.

Excellent restaurants in small, quaint town of Felton, home to majestic Henry Cowell State Park. Or drive 20 minutes to Santa Cruz.

The space
Best for couples who want a peaceful nature-filled getaway. Heated. Very private with a stunning view of San Lorenzo Valley. Close to all Santa Cruz has to offer - Mountain Biking, Surfing, Hiking, Beach Volleyball, etc...
La Casita is a small, heated comfortable space with a sleeping loft with queen size mattress. A ladder leads to the loft and one has to be limber to access the loft.

The shower(Hot/Cold) is outdoors and attached to the Casita itself. Bathroom is a half bath and is NOT attached to the Casita. We provide super comfy bathrobes.

Hammock just outside Casita for lazy dangling in the woods. CALFIRE IS NOT ALLOWING CAMPFIRES THIS SEASON.

The access to main house guest half bath ( private entrance) is 25 steps from the Casita in the main house. Private entrance and for the exclusive use of our guests.; The outdoor shower is attached to the Casita and provides a sweeping mountain view. A door provides privacy if desired.
Access to the sleeping loft is tight for larger persons - we discourage guests over 6''1 /200 lbs. to book.

Must have good flexibility to access the loft.
