The cabin is located on a beautiful mountain road, however it is narrow (1 lane), windy, sometimes bumpy, and not well lit at night. You may see wild turkey, deer, rabbits, and dozens of small bird species along the drive including blue jays, quails, and roadrunners.

Three flights of stairs assure a gorgeous view, but they also might be difficult for those with any mobility issues. But once you reach the welcoming front porch, you'll have a perfect outdoor spot for reading a book or sipping morning coffee.

This Felton cabin boasts tall ceilings, a woodstove, comfortable furniture, and even WiFi so you can stay in touch. Entertainment amenities include cable TV and a DVD player so you'll be able to gather everyone around for an after-dinner movie.

road. The houses are rather far apart. The cabin is up off of the road which gives you a tree house view and total privacy.

Free-range crawlers and toddlers must be supervised as this is not a 'baby-proofed' venue..

This is not a 'rager party house', as the neighborhood quiet time is 10pm to 8am. Caretaker lives nearby. If you have any questions during your stay, please feel free to call.

The deck is shaded by redwood trees but does have significant debris, so guests should use extreme caution with young children. A convenient gate at the top of the stairs can close off the deck.
The fireplace is the only heater in the home’s upstairs and space heaters are available for all three bedrooms. There is no central heat.
The outside deck heater uses a propane fuel tank; if it fails to light, please contact the owner who can assist.

*Please note that this home has a living room, kitchen, master bedroom, and full bath upstairs, and two bedrooms and a full bath downstairs. The stairway is outside. There is no indoor access to the downstairs.

- "Stayed with my adult son for a weekend getaway. Just a perfect place for a peaceful relaxing time in an unbelievably gorgeous setting. Quiet, comfortable, with enough room for individual time as well as time for togetherness and great conversation. Very clean, well furnished, everything worked perfectly. There are steps up to the porch and between levels, and some uneven ground, so won't be ideal for anyone with real mobility issues. But I'm in my seventies, and it was absolutely fine for me. Being in the redwoods, it can get chilly, but put on a sweater and it's very comfortable. Even had a lovely conversation over coffee with the neighbor across the road! Just perfect. Can't wait to come back and stay longer."

Mount Hermon is truly a one of a kind place. This community is located just south of Felton and 5 minutes from Scotts Valley and has activities for everyone to enjoy. Zip Lining, rope courses, swimming pool, and hiking trails are just a walk up the road. Whether you are coming to town for an event, camp, or just visiting the area you will not be disappointed! We will provide more detailed info after booking about the surround areas.

- There is one reserved parking spot available, and unfortunately there is no additional parking in the neighborhood so please plan accordingly.
- This is a cozy duplex with a shared wall, so you may occasionally hear noise from the neighboring unit.
- Nestled up in the beautiful mountains, this home enjoys a natural setting and all its unique elements, including occasional power outages or shifting weather. We recommend trip insurance to ensure peace of mind for any unexpected delays.
- The area is rich with wildlife, so you may spot some local bugs and critters.
- Cell service can be limited here, but we provide reliable Wi-Fi for your convenience. Please note that, while generally dependable, Wi-Fi can occasionally experience brief outages.
- The hot tub and BBQ area are shared with the neighboring unit. You can reserve the area for an hourly fee through a reservation system shared after booking. For the comfort of all guests, hot tub use and outdoor activities are limited to the hours between 8 AM and 9 PM.
- We have landscapers, pest service, hot tub, and other services when applicable] other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you.
- TV is a smart tv with streaming capabilities. There are no cable or local channels.
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.
