This downtown Los Gatos hotel have flat-screen TVs. The hotel is 9 miles from the HP Pavilion, a sports and entertainment venue. Rooms offer complimentary WiFi access. The Toll House, LLC rooms has large windows with a private balcony or semi-private patio and modern furniture. Due Dieci Italian Restaurant is located on site, offering dinner service Tuesday through Saturday from 5-10 PM. The Toll House is 13 miles from the San Jose Mineta International Airport. Vasona Lake Park is within a 5-minute drive of the hotel.

Please try keep food in the refrigerator or drawers to avoid attracting insects as we are in the woods.
Bring your own Keurig coffee pods and firewood, we have some firewood but may not enough.
The huge window is double paned, there is a small hole and crack on the outer pane, the inner pane is intact so the window is functional.
This is the main house which shares wall with a separate smaller guest unit and the onsite staff unit below with their own entrances.
The bedroom with king size bed shares wall and can hear noise from other side, the loft bedroom with queen size bed doesn't have any shared wall and is very quiet and private so please use this bedroom if concerned with the noise disturbance. Also contact host for voice disturbance at quiet hour 10p-8a.
This is a retreat center so there are people onsite including our staff.

We do NOT provide ceiling fan although it is there, the remote control is missing so it can not be turned on for now.
This is an old rustic house in the woods, not a luxurious modern house.
The washer/dryer is shared with one other guest suite.

There is a private drive way, half open garage and workshop area which has some furnitures.
There is a BBQ grill in the yard there.
We are in the rural mountains and woods so overall it is pretty rustic! There is dirt right outside the house.
It's very quiet in the mountains, music which may not seem loud in the cities can be pretty loud here especially at night.

The TV doesn't have cable, but has a HDMI cable which can be connected to a Mac laptop. As a meditation retreat center, we were not sure if we want to provide cable TV yet.

One bedroom with brand new king bed.
Loft bedroom with one queen bed, one twin bed, and a floor twin mattress. The ladder to the loft bedroom is kind of steep so not suitable for very small kids or those who are too old.
There is an extra twin mattress in the living room to sleep on.
The living room is huge with a piano by the windows.
The bathroom is remodeled, shower only no tub.
The fireplace is fantastic in a cold winter night although the central heating keeps the house pretty warm.

There is a garden growing veggies.
Our water is from a natural spring.
This can be the perfect getaway, especially for those who enjoy the nature, quietness, serenity, simplicity, sparkling creativity, contemplating spirituality, but not much for the materialistic luxury.
The house was built with the redwood logged from this forest! The original cabinets and doors were custom made with these wood.

We have a main trail on our 45 acre. The head of the main trail is right by the red Main House, just follow the paved the road down and it will become dirt road at campsite 12. It's about 45min to 1hr hike down to the end where the Amaya creek serves the boundary to the neighbor's property. On the main trail there is also a small waterfall, but it is not visible from the trail, you have to go off the trail on the left side to find it. I put pink ribbon on the tree there, but at other spots too so may not be the best sign.
Enjoy hiking, creeks and small water fall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing (deer, turkey, owl etc), star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more.
There is a private campground down with 10 min hike.

Easy commute to silicon valley companies (30 min to Apple) and fast Wifi allows working from home.
For restaurants, the closest is Soquel in the south and Los Gatos downtown in the north, or both around 20 min drive since we are in the mountains.
There is a Summit store where you can pick up groceries and enjoy an espresso bar, deli and sushi spot, which is only 10 min away at 24197 N Summit Rd, Los Gatos.

- "The view was great. General layout of cabin is comfy and spacious, pretty similar to what the pictures show. As for cleanliness, the bathroom was not cleaned very well, the hand towel looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a looong time. My brother got multiple bites over his body during our stay, and had an allergic reaction for which he had to seek medical attention. Kitchen range stopped working while we were cooking dinner because it was overworked, and we contacted the owner for assistance. They were reasonably prompt and the issue was resolved. So if you plan on doing a lot of cooking make sure to know the fix beforehand."

A quaint little in laws quarter with private entryway, full kitchen, and full bathroom. Find yourself enjoying the gardens on your own little hidden corner of our property. An outdoor chicken coop with vegetable, fruit and flower gardens is a great little escape from the nearby hustle and bustle of the Silicon Valley. Our unique bedroom space is up an attic like staircase that is not suitable for very young, handicapped, or elderly guests.

You’re literally in the middle of a forest, with stunning views and privacy. I will say though that this cabin is relatively remote and requires some careful driving - down a steep, windy road without pavement at points. The Neighborhood

The cottage is walking distance to Vasona Lake Park with activities for runners, bicyclists, hikers, and skaters. A short hike takes you to Vasona Lake Park where you, or your family can ride the Billy Jones Wildcat rail road, paddle boats and sailing on the lake or enjoy an outdoor Carousel. A few minutes away is Saint Josephs Hill trail for mountain biking, jogging and hiking.
The cottage is a five minute walk from the trailhead for the beloved Los Gatos Creek Trail for hiking and biking. Nestled at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains and a perfect gateway to all of Silicon Valley. The Town of Los Gatos is a wildly popular destination for everything from museums, the arts, nightlife with dancing and fine dining, to outdoor activities. The summer months feature two famous free concert series - Wednesday night Jazz on the Plazz and Sunday afternoon Los Gatos Music in the Park. Both are within walking distance from the cottage.
Convenient location near Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Peets Coffee, Starbucks, Panera Bread, and Shopping Centers.

The Cottage is two blocks from Highway 17 Hwy 280, 85 and Hwy 101.

-- Dogs -- Are allowed on a case by case basis. Here are a few points that must be meet before I consider hosting your stay in my cottage with your dog.

- I will not host dogs that or larger then 25lbs
- I will only host dog breeds that do NOT shed normally
- Your dog should not bark and cry a lot
- Dogs will need to remain OFF the bed, couch and other furniture at all times
- If your leaving your dog in the cottage alone for long amounts of time it will need to be kept in a crate.
- Depending on the breed of dog I may require an additional non-refundable pet deposit of $200.00 at move in.

The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful to take walks. The kitchen is small as pictured. You could cook, but we limited our cooking to breakfast and had dinners at our daughters home. A lot of rentals in this price bracket only have a coffee maker and hot plate. Chris was quick to respond and very accomodating. We would definitely stay here again."

You will find a detached bedroom with King Bed, living area with soft couch, full bath and a kitchenette with a private yard and grill. We also offer storage for personal things and/or a bike. Whether you're on a business trip or vacation this is an ideal place to stay as a home away from home.
There is complete privacy with your own private entrance. The space will comfortably fit 2 adults.

Guest Access

As our guest you will have access to all the following: King Bed, on site laundry, free WIFI, a gas grill, desk, microwave, TV / DVD Player and Apple TV with Netflix access. We have an extensive DVD collection as well, if you just want to stay in and watch a movie.

The Neighborhood

The cottage is walking distance to Vasona Lake Park with activities for runners, bicyclists, hikers, and skaters. A short hike takes you to Vasona Lake Park where you, or your family can ride the Billy Jones Wildcat rail road, paddle boats and sailing on the lake or enjoy an outdoor Carousel. A few minutes away is Saint Josephs Hill trail for mountain biking, jogging and hiking.
The cottage is a five minute walk from the trailhead for the beloved Los Gatos Creek Trail for hiking and biking. Nestled at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains and a perfect gateway to all of Silicon Valley. The Town of Los Gatos is a wildly popular destination for everything from museums, the arts, nightlife with dancing and fine dining, to outdoor activities. The summer months feature two famous free concert series - Wednesday night Jazz on the Plazz and Sunday afternoon Los Gatos Music in the Park. Both are within walking distance from the cottage.
Convenient location near Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Peets Coffee, Starbucks, Panera Bread, and Shopping Centers.

Getting around

The Cottage is two blocks from Highway 17 Hwy 280, 85 and Hwy 101.

PETS: -
-- Dogs -- Are allowed on a case by case basis. Here are a few points that must be meet before I consider hosting your stay in my cottage with your dog.

- I will not host dogs that or larger then 25lbs
- I will only host dog breeds that do NOT shed normally
- Your dog should not bark and cry a lot
- Dogs will need to remain OFF the bed, couch and other furniture at all times
- If your leaving your dog in the cottage alone for long amounts of time it will need to be kept in a crate.
- Depending on the breed of dog I may require an additional non-refundable pet deposit of $200.00 at move in.

- "We were renting the cottage for 5 weeks as we needed a place to stay until we find a suitable long term rental in the Bay Area. Los Gatos cottages is the perfect temporary place for a couple. The cottage is in a nice snd calm area, near to town. It is well equipped with everything you need. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is clean. Laundry machine is on site too. Chris the owner is absolutely welcoming and helpful. Thank you for having us, we can only recommend this place!"

This sun-soaked suite is has a private entrance and private access to a beautiful garden patio complete with night-time ambiance, a fireplace, and patio furniture. The large bay window provides a view into the rustic fruit, flower, and vegetable garden right outside. The suite is tucked away from the busiest parts of the city, perfect for a hub in the middle of some of the best attractions NorCal has to offer: SF, Carmel, Pebble Beach, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and more. The comfy bed and beautiful old-town neighborhood add to the warm, homey feel.

While the space is listed as a guest suite, we want our guests to know that they are sharing our home. The lower level of our house is separated from the rest of the house by blackout curtains and is allocated for guest use only. It includes a private entrance, and the guest is the only person who will be using or entering the space.

- "This is a lovely place to stay, with new furniture and lots of helpful notes with directions on where to find things. The towels are soft and fluffy. The bed in the master bedroom is comfortable. There's an iron and ironing board as well as a hair dryer. The restaurants and shops of Los Gatos are an easy 30 minute walk away through beautiful neighborhoods if you want to leave your car behind. My only complaint is that the listing says there's a kitchenette, but what that means is that there's a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. You will need to do the dishes in the bathroom sink. There is no hot plate or way to cook."

- "Overall, a great stay! The suite was just like the listing description. The long, windy road up to the home was fun to drive on. 77 curves from the highway to the home! Great location coming to and from Los Gatos and/or Santa Clara. Away from the hustle and bustle. Our dog friend, Buba was very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed seeing him every time we came in or out. We miss him already. The walls were pretty thin so we could hear the hosts from time to time but overall, they didn't disturb us and we had no trouble sleeping through the night. It was a wonderful stay and we would definitely recommend! "
