This is a comfortable, dual-level, family town home situated 1 block from the beach at Rio Del Mar … just far enough to feel peacefully apart from the crowds, but an easy amble to the beach. This is one of 2 master wings in a beautiful hand-built home on a 5-acre apple orchard. We are 4 miles from the ocean, but the last mile is our driveway, so there is a real sense of seclusion. We built the house with another couple, so the house has 2 private master wings. Our partners moved to be closer to their grandchildren, so their wing is now available.

The master bedroom is quite large. It has a king size bed and a couch that becomes a queen size bed. Separating the beds is a gas fireplace. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and a large built-in desk. In the same space, but separated by a room divider, there is a partial kitchen, including an under-counter refrigerator, microwave, induction burner, toaster, and kitchenware.

The enormous bathroom is shared by the bedrooms. It has a double vanity, a private toilet room, a 6 foot by 6 foot walk-in shower and an over-size bath tub.

The bathroom and the 2nd bedroom open onto a private deck. There is a gravenstein apple tree over-hanging one end of the deck. If you come stay before mid-August, you can pick fresh apples from the deck!

This two-bedroom, two-bath, redwood beach home also fronts the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary. Guests say they love the backyard for its privacy and hot tub and the front porch for its vantage point. From the front porch, you have a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Cruz Mountains, and the surfing that has made Pleasure Point Beach so popular.

The bungalow is designed to sleep up to six people. It houses two master bedrooms, living room with an ocean view, fully equipped kitchen with dining area, and a seaside sun porch. There's also an inside laundry room, a digital safe for storage of valuables, and a storage shed in the backyard.

As you enter into the backyard you'll find lushly landscaped space with BBQ, picnic table and an outdoor shower. Literally everything in this unique home is brand new. The backyard with the hot tub, is get place to get away from the wear and tear of the day. And at night a great place to look at the stars. The location of the house make it very easy to park the car in the driveway and walk to the beach or to the little business area where one can get great food and ice cream. The best thing about the place was how the property managers were very quick to respond to chats regarding the house. So in closing, when we return to Aptos, this will be the first place to check to see if it is available."
