Unique cozy oceanfront 2 level cottage with amazing ocean views from multiple rooms and the outdoor hot tub. A private neighborhood pathway 100 yards away leads directly to the beach. A spiral staircase connects the 2 levels inside the house, and the lower level can also be directly accessed by stairs from the outside. It is a quiet getaway that is perfect for small families. The kitchen and 2 bathrooms feature modern decor with stainless steel appliances and modern lighting. A Tesla charging port was just added to the exterior for the convenience of our guests.
4 Adults allowed per night [includes teens who are 15+], and when including small children, up to 6 persons total can be accommodated. We tend to attract small families looking for a beachfront home to satisfy every whim. While we serve the local family vacationers, long term Corporate renters are welcome during the off season months. Our beautiful home has all the amenities one would need, from the kitchen stocked with most appliances for creating that dream meal, to the free wireless set up with free streaming service, and flat screen TV's in the living area (upper level) and the bedroom (lower level) for a fine quality of entertainment . A local landline phone is provided as well. We welcome ONE small family dog (50 lbs max) for a $50 fee per booking. There is ample space to spread out with separate levels for both privacy and relaxation. We are also located in a very quiet pet friendly residential neighborhood.
Enjoy sweeping views of The Arroyo Greenbelt and Sunset Beach. Spot seals, dolphins and whales from our 2 private decks or watch Squid harvesting at night when in season. Relax in the private hot tub and watch the white water waves. You can explore the outlying areas for amusement, book a kayaking trip in Moss Landing or head north for a full day at The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, or take a trip to any of the local wineries. Month long bookings are NOT accepted during June, July and August, as we have returning guests who love to enjoy our home during this period. Bookings for 28 days or more are charged 2 cleaning fees, so that a cleaning service can be provided during their stay.
There is open parking space available for ONE CAR ONLY in front of the house.
NO SMOKING OR USE OF ILLICIT DRUGS allowed on the property or in our private neighborhood - including our personal indoor and outdoor space surrounding this property.
The stairs leading to the beach from our lower level is for ADULT USE ONLY, and not recommended for small children, especially after sunset. Please use the neighborhood pathway when accompanied by children under 8 years of age.

Our 1750 sq ft tri-level beach house that was completely remodeled in 2007 is located just south of Aptos & Seascape Resort, approximately 12 miles south of Santa Cruz. It offers a panoramic oceanview with 15 miles of sandy beach. You can enjoy your coffee watching the dolphins & surfers and then watch the sunset from your deck. You have direct access to the beach and campfires are permitted until 10pm.

The gourmet kitchen of granite & stainless, is well stocked with cooking utensils and staples (spices, oils, etc) anything you may have forgotten.
Ample paper products (paper towels,toilet paper) are also supplied. Hair Dryers in 2 bathrooms.

The beds are already made up and waiting. Please bring your own bath & beach towels as they are not provided. This is our home away from home that we invite you to share and we do take great care maintaining it and believe that you will have everything you need for a perfect stay. For our guests protection, we have installed a security camera that cover the front driveway.

The kitchen is outfitted to cook 3 meals a day with virtually all the tools you expect, if you like that sort of thing! There is a washer and dryer on site, and a garage for your bikes or surfboards so you can unload and clean and lock 'em up.

We LOVE our neighbors, please respect them and quiet down by 9pm. Of course, no events or gatherings of any kind are allowed at any time. Your listed guest count should be the total number of guests in the house. Also please refrain from going onto the roof, the view is spectacular enough without having to do so! In these situations we will be forced to take your deposit when spotted by the neighbors. THANK YOU!

La Selva Beach is a quaint and quiet little village that you will fall instantly in love with! It is centrally located to enjoy lots of wonderful family activities; which include great Golf Courses, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Shopping in Santa Cruz, Roaring Camp, Aptos, Capitola or Monterey and many others. Not to mention the many, many wonderful local Restaurants and Wineries!

The beach house is 2000+ which includes original hard wood floors throughout the main floor; 2 bedrooms, a private kids den and 2 full baths; fully equipped kitchen; dining and living room; 2 decks in front with enclosed backyard. Feel free to bathe al fresco in the hot/cold outdoor shower located next to the garage. It is a 5-10 min walk to the beach down the bluff. We are pet friendly as long as they do not go upstairs, stay off the furniture and are trained and well behaved!

Bedroom 1 (see photo) has queen bed, sofa and a peekaboo ocean view. French door leads to the enclosed backyard.

Hall Bath 1 (see photo) has vintage blue tile, shower, separate tub.

Kids’ Den (see photo) includes a twin bed with an additional twin pull-out trundle bed, a cozy, fun kids space and French doors leading to the backyard. There is also a pack and play but we please ask you bring your own top sheet to keep it in good condition.

Hall Bath 2 includes a shower and exterior door to backyard.

Bedroom 2 (see photo) is upstairs with open beamed ceiling and a queen bed. This room has many windows and a set of French doors to deck where you can enjoy the spectacular ocean views. Leave the door to the deck open to feel the ocean breezes and hear the waves crashing.

The dining room (see photo) area seats 8 with overhead dimmer lighting. French doors lead to an ocean view deck with outdoor table. There is also an office desk tucked oceanside for any work related needs.

The kitchen (see photo) is fully equipped with appliances and cooking tools, including Bertazzoni gas, 6-burner range and griddle with double oven. Ocean views from the kitchen double sink.

The living room has a rustic rock fireplace where you can relax while watching TV, listening to your favorite radio tunes or just taking in the beautiful Pacific views. Sofa pulls out to sleep 2 more people.

Just bring your swimsuits/beach towels, toiletries and food! Some beach toys are available for use. Bath towels and linens are furnished. Sorry, No Phone. Bring your cell phone for emergencies. WiFi is available for use with your own devices.

*Security cameras: For our protection and yours, we have 2 outdoor security cameras on premises (near our front entrance & on the downstairs catwalk), as do most homes in our complex. These cameras may not be covered, unplugged, repositioned or tampered with in any way. Please be assured that there are no cameras on the middle floor deck or indoors & your privacy is respected. We fully comply with Airbnb & VRBO’s policy on surveillance devices. If you take issue with this, then California Dreamin’ is not an appropriate property for you

-No smoking/vaping/drugs/illegal activities (this includes indoors, on our deck, on the catwalk and near our front entrance)

-No parties/events/large gatherings that exceed our maximum guest allowance (8 overnight, 10 at any given time).

-STRICT MAXIMUM OF 8 TOTAL OVERNIGHT GUESTS (regardless of age, this includes babies & children). If you have visitors, guest count may not exceed 10, including overnight guests

-No campers, RV's, Trailers allowed, per our HOA rules

-FIREWORKS, firepits, deep fryers, etc are strictly prohibited. Only BBQ grills provided by homeowners are allowed

-Recycling bins are provided at the South end of our complex (we are at the North end). Please dispose of all recyclables in these bins (HOA & county requirement).

-$500 security deposit required to ensure that you take excellent care of our home. This is a hold on your credit card and not an actual charge. This will be released after our housekeeper inspects our home & linens, within 5 days of departure.

-VRBO Host Fee = $350 cleaning & laundry fee, which is paid directly to our housekeeper + a $30 damage protection waiver. We do not profit in any way from this fee.

- "Loud Waves Crashing, Beach Chairs Available!! Plenty of hot water for a family of 4. Quiet neighborhood, laundry options were perfect. Plenty of sea shells for the hunter and gatherers. lots of stairs and lots of walking which we surely enjoyed. What would of been helpful comfier beds (extra pillow top of sorts would of been nice) Nothing available to wash our sandy feet before coming in the house (would of liked a hose of some sort) No recycle option (everything went into one bin) The carpet was in horrible shape - you did not feel comfortable sitting on the floor or taking your shoes off, pot holders of some sort would of been nice to help with cooking, a tea kettle would of helped to boil water for tea, a few more plug options instead there were multiple plugs hanging out from single outlets, downstairs bathroom shower fan did not work and set the smoke alarm off when taking a hot shower."

Private, pet friendly, 350sf guest suite (Santa Cruz County Hosted Rental Permit 231263) with bathroom and a food prep area about a mile from Manresa State Beach. A redwood tree shades the adjacent private garden patio where you and your family can lounge or BBQ.
The living area includes a queen bed, dining table with seating for 4, and a comfortable chair with a reading lamp. Free Wifi. A 43-in 4k UHD TV with DirectTV, HBO, Showtime, Netflix and 300+ channels is provided. An elevated queen sized airbed (electric powered) is optionally available in the closet for third or fourth guests.
The food prep area is well equipped with sink, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee making equipment and sufficient tools, dinnerware and cutlery to serve simple pre-made or delivered meals.
The updated bathroom has a toilet, sink, shower and window.
From the suite you’ll have direct access to the shared laundry area in the garage with a full sized washer and dryer.

The suite comes equipped with two folding beach chairs, beach towels and a small ice chest in case you want to head down to the beach or out for a picnic.
Owing to our proximity to the ocean, temperatures in La Selva Beach are temperate and range from a low of 49 to a high of 74 degrees. There is a heater in the suite along with extra blankets and comforters. On the extremely rare occasions where temperatures rise above 74 degrees we provide a fan.
The guest suite accommodates two adults comfortably. By arrangement made prior to booking, we can occasionally accommodate more guests. A charge of $50 per night, per guest, will be assessed for overnight guests in excess of two for whom no prior arrangements have been made.

If you would like to bring more than two pets please inquire about permission prior to booking. A charge of $25 per night, per pet will be assessed for each pet in excess of two if no previous approval for extra pets has been obtained.

Large kitchen, plenty of seating at a generous dining table and kitchen bar, and a comfortable sofa bed (double) and seating in the living room. An electric grill is provided for outdoor cooking. - "This beach house was absolutely beautiful, it comes with all the things you need included just pack a little clothes because it has a nice washer and dryer. The kitchen must have been recently re modeled because it’s beautiful and new looking. The down stairs is perfect for kids because it has full size bunk beds and the shower head detached so it’s perfect for the kids to shower in there. The fire pit on the balcony was a treat because you can roast s’mores and not have to have a bon fire at the beach for s’mores and deal with sticky hands on the beach. The only problem with this beach house is you and your family will be so sad to leave and try to convince your husband that you need to buy this house. Thank you for the week long wonderful vacation and memories. We will definitely rent this house again we plan to each summer as long as it’s available 💙"

Our 5 Star apartment is a spacious, totally self contained private area with it's own side entrance attached to the main house.
It is over 610 square feet with 4 separate rooms and French doors leading to our back garden with areas to relax.
We are a short walk to the beach along Monterey Bay. By car you will be half way between Santa Cruz and Carmel by the Sea for shopping, dining or entertainment with many beaches to visit in between.

The space
Our house is a Mission style home with a separate apartment for guests with their own entrance. The bedroom opens into a patio/garden. The living room has TV and a single bed, a table for snacking, or working and a slight view of the ocean. The marble tile bathroom has a tub shower, linens, beach towels, hair dryer, double sinks. The kitchen has a fridge with freezer, toaster/ air fryer oven, induction hot plates, large microwave with fan to be turned on while doing any cooking and coffee pot with coffee and tea bags/ water heater available.
We require all our guests to refrain from any smoking in the apartment or on the property. We do not accept animals due to allergies of family members except following Airbnb's ESA policy.
We expect our guests to keep noise to a minimum as we have neighbors on either side of our home.

Guest access
The one parking space is along Lindero Drive opposite the driveway to the main house.
There is a path branching from the main path to the house, leading to the private entrance to the apartment on the left side of the house..
A special personalized access code will open the door.
The apartment is self contained with a closet in the entryway, a full bathroom to the left and a living room area to the right.
There is one garden bedroom with queen size bed and a second bedroom/ sitting TV room with an American Leather love seat/fold out single bed. Bed sheets and blankets are in the console under the TV.
Guest have access to the apartment and the court yard and private garden. There is an outside shower as well that an be used in the back of the garage for rinsing off sand after a beach walk.

We have a little guest house on our property that we're blessed to share with family, friends, and the airbnb community. We're a 10-15 min walk to our private beach. Close proximity to both Santa Cruz and Monterey, and close enough to San Francisco to explore the city for a day trip.

The space
Our guest house is a very spacious 1 bedroom cottage with separate living room and kitchen. We call it Sand Dollar Farms because of all the sand dollars that can be found on the beach at the end of our block, not because it's an actual working farm. The house looks out onto 15 acres of native landscape from the living room (as well as some falling down greenhouses that used to be part of the orchid farm in the 80's) You can feed the chickens out your kitchen door, stroll to the beach at the end of the block, read a book in the sunshine and then cozy up in a blanket once the coastal fog rolls in. It's great space to unwind after a long day of exploring everything Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Francisco have to offer.

Guest access
You'll have access to your own separate guest house. It's right next door to our main house so we may see you as we come and go.

Other things to note
We do allow a maximum of 2 well behaved, house trained pets. There is a $15/night/pet fee which will be taken out of the deposit after your departure. The property is not fenced so please be aware of that when taking your dogs out for a walk and keep them on leash when outdoors at all times. We do have a dogs, and a cat, and chickens. We take pride in the cleanliness of our home but people with severe allergies, or fear of animals, may not be comfortable.

Quiet one bedroom home, walking distance to our remote beach. There is 1 bed and 1 bathroom with a shower stall, a full kitchen and a small living room. Property Maintenance
Just so you are not alarmed, hot tub maintenance service arrives on Monday and Friday to clean the hot tub. The yard maintenance company comes periodically to maintain the yard. If you see someone caring for the yard or hot tub, please do not be alarmed.

Garbage and recycling pickup is Friday morning, roughly between 6 AM and 9 AM.

Home Features & Policies
We ask that the gas fireplace not be used because it is a little too close to the TV. However, there is a gas fire pit on the porch for wonderful evening outdoor fires.

There is plenty of closet space in the two upstairs bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom has plenty of drawers but no closet for hanging clothes.

Please keep in mind that the reservation policy is strict.

Very private location, however only 20 minutes to the Rio Del Mar beach.

We are 10 minutes from the little town of Corralitos,. We have a 1/2 mile driveway up a one lane mountain of privacy, however very close to everything.

There is so much to do on the central coast of California. - surfing, sailing, stand up paddle, kayaking, biking, running, wine and beer tasting, whale watching, Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, art galleries, wildlife viewing, photography, redwoods zip line tour and so much more.The Corralitos brewery is nearby as is the Corralitos Wine Trail. We have 4 local winery that offer tastings on the weekends. Napa without the high cost.

The Chardonnay sailboat out of the Santa Cruz Harbor offers many types of sails out on the bay.

Also Sanctuary Cruises out of Moss Landing has whale watching tours.

We are centrally located on the Monterey Bay on the central coast of California. Coming in from San Francisco area it takes about 1 1/2 less depending on traffic.

You will be heading south from San Francisco on highway 101 or 280 headed to Hwy 85 and going through the Santa Cruz mountains- hwy 17 - until you drop down to sea level in Santa Cruz. Then you are on Hwy 1.

You can also take highway 1 south along the coast from the San Francisco area. It's a lovely ride.

For reference purposes we are approximately 5-6 hours north of the greater Los Angeles, CA. This depends on which route you take. The coast route along highway 1 will be more time consuming than highway 101

LOCAL SITES & PLACES OF INTEREST:

You are 30 minutes drive to the 10,000 acre Nisene Marks State Park for miles of hiking or dirt biking in the Redwoods and along the Aptos creek.

It is only 25 minutes to downtown Santa Cruz, shopping along Pacific Ave and the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Old School Wooden Roller Coaster. There is a zip line tour of the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Heading up the coast it is about 45 minutes north to Davenport,

There is wonderful biking and hiking in Wilder Ranch, about 30 minutes away.

If you wish to visit Monterey area it is approximately 45-50 minutes south on Highway 1 to Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach.

Monterey has excellent attractions such as Cannery Row, a wharf and the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium

Easy access to Highway 1 and 17. Also there is a scenic back road to San Jose. Avoid the Highway 1 commute traffic.
