Unique cozy oceanfront 2 level cottage with amazing ocean views from multiple rooms and the outdoor hot tub. A private neighborhood pathway 100 yards away leads directly to the beach. A spiral staircase connects the 2 levels inside the house, and the lower level can also be directly accessed by stairs from the outside. It is a quiet getaway that is perfect for small families. The kitchen and 2 bathrooms feature modern decor with stainless steel appliances and modern lighting. A Tesla charging port was just added to the exterior for the convenience of our guests.
4 Adults allowed per night [includes teens who are 15+], and when including small children, up to 6 persons total can be accommodated. We tend to attract small families looking for a beachfront home to satisfy every whim. While we serve the local family vacationers, long term Corporate renters are welcome during the off season months. Our beautiful home has all the amenities one would need, from the kitchen stocked with most appliances for creating that dream meal, to the free wireless set up with free streaming service, and flat screen TV's in the living area (upper level) and the bedroom (lower level) for a fine quality of entertainment . A local landline phone is provided as well. We welcome ONE small family dog (50 lbs max) for a $50 fee per booking. There is ample space to spread out with separate levels for both privacy and relaxation. We are also located in a very quiet pet friendly residential neighborhood.
Enjoy sweeping views of The Arroyo Greenbelt and Sunset Beach. Spot seals, dolphins and whales from our 2 private decks or watch Squid harvesting at night when in season. Relax in the private hot tub and watch the white water waves. You can explore the outlying areas for amusement, book a kayaking trip in Moss Landing or head north for a full day at The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, or take a trip to any of the local wineries. There is open parking space available for ONE CAR ONLY in front of the house.

Our 1750 sq ft tri-level beach house that was completely remodeled in 2007 is located just south of Aptos & Seascape Resort, approximately 12 miles south of Santa Cruz. It offers a panoramic oceanview with 15 miles of sandy beach. You can enjoy your coffee watching the dolphins & surfers and then watch the sunset from your deck. You have direct access to the beach and campfires are permitted until 10pm.

The gourmet kitchen of granite & stainless, is well stocked with cooking utensils and staples (spices, oils, etc) anything you may have forgotten.
Ample paper products (paper towels,toilet paper) are also supplied. Hair Dryers in 2 bathrooms.

The beds are already made up and waiting. Please bring your own bath & beach towels as they are not provided. This is our home away from home that we invite you to share and we do take great care maintaining it and believe that you will have everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen is outfitted to cook 3 meals a day with virtually all the tools you expect, if you like that sort of thing! There is a washer and dryer on site, and a garage for your bikes or surfboards so you can unload and clean and lock 'em up.

We LOVE our neighbors, please respect them and quiet down by 9pm. Of course, no events or gatherings of any kind are allowed at any time. Your listed guest count should be the total number of guests in the house. Also please refrain from going onto the roof, the view is spectacular enough without having to do so! In these situations we will be forced to take your deposit when spotted by the neighbors. THANK YOU!

La Selva Beach is a quaint and quiet little village that you will fall instantly in love with! It is centrally located to enjoy lots of wonderful family activities; which include great Golf Courses, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Shopping in Santa Cruz, Roaring Camp, Aptos, Capitola or Monterey and many others. Not to mention the many, many wonderful local Restaurants and Wineries!

The beach house is 2000+ which includes original hard wood floors throughout the main floor; 2 bedrooms, a private kids den and 2 full baths; fully equipped kitchen; dining and living room; 2 decks in front with enclosed backyard. Feel free to bathe al fresco in the hot/cold outdoor shower located next to the garage. It is a 5-10 min walk to the beach down the bluff. We are pet friendly as long as they do not go upstairs, stay off the furniture and are trained and well behaved!

Bedroom 1 (see photo) has queen bed, sofa and a peekaboo ocean view. French door leads to the enclosed backyard.

Hall Bath 1 (see photo) has vintage blue tile, shower, separate tub.

Kids’ Den (see photo) includes a twin bed with an additional twin pull-out trundle bed, a cozy, fun kids space and French doors leading to the backyard. There is also a pack and play but we please ask you bring your own top sheet to keep it in good condition.

Hall Bath 2 includes a shower and exterior door to backyard.

Bedroom 2 (see photo) is upstairs with open beamed ceiling and a queen bed. This room has many windows and a set of French doors to deck where you can enjoy the spectacular ocean views. Leave the door to the deck open to feel the ocean breezes and hear the waves crashing.

The dining room (see photo) area seats 8 with overhead dimmer lighting. French doors lead to an ocean view deck with outdoor table. There is also an office desk tucked oceanside for any work related needs.

The kitchen (see photo) is fully equipped with appliances and cooking tools, including Bertazzoni gas, 6-burner range and griddle with double oven. Ocean views from the kitchen double sink.

The living room has a rustic rock fireplace where you can relax while watching TV, listening to your favorite radio tunes or just taking in the beautiful Pacific views. Sofa pulls out to sleep 2 more people.

Just bring your swimsuits/beach towels, toiletries and food! Some beach toys are available for use. Bath towels and linens are furnished. Sorry, No Phone. Bring your cell phone for emergencies. WiFi is available for use with your own devices.

-No parties/events/large gatherings that exceed our maximum guest allowance (8 overnight, 10 at any given time).

-STRICT MAXIMUM OF 8 TOTAL OVERNIGHT GUESTS (regardless of age, this includes babies & children). If you have visitors, guest count may not exceed 10, including overnight guests

-No campers, RV's, Trailers allowed, per our HOA rules

-FIREWORKS, firepits, deep fryers, etc are strictly prohibited. Only BBQ grills provided by homeowners are allowed

-Recycling bins are provided at the South end of our complex (we are at the North end). Please dispose of all recyclables in these bins (HOA & county requirement).

-$500 security deposit required to ensure that you take excellent care of our home. This is a hold on your credit card and not an actual charge. This will be released after our housekeeper inspects our home & linens, within 5 days of departure.

-VRBO Host Fee = $350 cleaning & laundry fee, which is paid directly to our housekeeper + a $30 damage protection waiver. We do not profit in any way from this fee.

- "Loud Waves Crashing, Beach Chairs Available!! Plenty of hot water for a family of 4. Quiet neighborhood, laundry options were perfect. Plenty of sea shells for the hunter and gatherers. lots of stairs and lots of walking which we surely enjoyed. What would of been helpful comfier beds (extra pillow top of sorts would of been nice) Nothing available to wash our sandy feet before coming in the house (would of liked a hose of some sort) No recycle option (everything went into one bin) The carpet was in horrible shape - you did not feel comfortable sitting on the floor or taking your shoes off, pot holders of some sort would of been nice to help with cooking, a tea kettle would of helped to boil water for tea, a few more plug options instead there were multiple plugs hanging out from single outlets, downstairs bathroom shower fan did not work and set the smoke alarm off when taking a hot shower."

Private, pet friendly, 350sf guest suite (Santa Cruz County Hosted Rental Permit 231263) with bathroom and a food prep area about a mile from Manresa State Beach. A redwood tree shades the adjacent private garden patio where you and your family can lounge or BBQ.
The living area includes a queen bed, dining table with seating for 4, and a comfortable chair with a reading lamp. Free Wifi. A 43-in 4k UHD TV with DirectTV, HBO, Showtime, Netflix and 300+ channels is provided. An elevated queen sized airbed (electric powered) is optionally available in the closet for third or fourth guests.
The food prep area is well equipped with sink, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee making equipment and sufficient tools, dinnerware and cutlery to serve simple pre-made or delivered meals.
The updated bathroom has a toilet, sink, shower and window.
From the suite you’ll have direct access to the shared laundry area in the garage with a full sized washer and dryer.

The suite comes equipped with two folding beach chairs, beach towels and a small ice chest in case you want to head down to the beach or out for a picnic.
Owing to our proximity to the ocean, temperatures in La Selva Beach are temperate and range from a low of 49 to a high of 74 degrees. There is a heater in the suite along with extra blankets and comforters. On the extremely rare occasions where temperatures rise above 74 degrees we provide a fan.
The guest suite accommodates two adults comfortably. By arrangement made prior to booking, we can occasionally accommodate more guests. A charge of $50 per night, per guest, will be assessed for overnight guests in excess of two for whom no prior arrangements have been made.

If you would like to bring more than two pets please inquire about permission prior to booking. A charge of $25 per night, per pet will be assessed for each pet in excess of two if no previous approval for extra pets has been obtained.
Parking is in the driveway or on our quiet residential street.

The unit is the an entire first floor of a two story home. Well suited as a central hub for visiting Santa Cruz and Monterey. It includes two private entrances and full kitchen. Very away from it all, quiet, restful. The walk to the beach is very doable. Everything we needed was there. La Selva Beach:
Villa Margarita is located in La Selva Beach just off Highway 1, an iconic West Coast drive. The palm trees lining Playa Blvd. give you a warm welcome as you enter into this quaint coastal community. In case you are curious, "La Selva" means "the jungle" in Spanish, a fitting description as lush green plants, trees and colorful flowers flourish, and birds abound along the pristine coastline.

Though mainly residential, La Selva Beach offers local conveniences, including El Patio Grocery, a 10 minute walk from Villa Margarita, as well as a recreation center with outdoor basketball court and playground.

The Space:
Lots of space for the whole family or a quiet getaway! You'll find the comforts of home, with a chef ready, well-stocked kitchen, gas-burning fireplace, TV in the living and bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, and a beach home feeling. There are no daily housekeeping services. The property is cleaned before arrival and after departure. We provide hand soap, dish soap, dish towels, hand towels, bath towels, wash cloths, paper towels, and personal soap/shampoo. Two bedrooms with queen beds and ensuite baths. Large kitchen, plenty of seating at a generous dining table and kitchen bar, and a comfortable sofa bed (double) and seating in the living room. Patios are furnished with tables and chairs perfect for enjoying meals, morning coffee, or sunset cocktails, as well as lounge chairs to relax in and enjoy the stunning views! An electric grill is provided for outdoor cooking. There is a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, makeup towel, hand soap in kitchen and both bathrooms, disinfecting wipes, dish soap, all-purpose cleaner, new kitchen sponge, kitchen towels, pot holders, garbage bags, iron and ironing board, stick vacuum, beach towels, and bath towels. In the kitchen, you will find a toaster, blender, coffee maker with a permanent coffee filter, Keurig espresso machine, and milk frother.
