The complex is quiet, safe and secure. The owner sent us information relating to location and it we availed of most of it and it was all good advice. Cafe du Phare is a friendly little cafe and just around the corner from the duplex, also Limoine close to market has good coffee. Food market open 8 to 1 each day. Hire bikes from man opposite Carrefour, (Cyclo-Cap)he is really nice, no english but good communicator. Abandon your car and cycle everywhere or just stroll around. Cycle path is close by. We enjoyed dinner in La Maison du Bassin on a couple of occasions and it is open on Sunday nights. Great fish and friendly staff in Lucine at the end of the road. Enjoy oysters in Betrand and mussels in Hortense (expensive but worth a visit once just to observe) Cap Ferret is a beautiful place, the local people are friendly and welcoming. Most young people speak english and seem happy to talk and practise. We would have no hesitation in recommending the duplex to family and friends. We are two mature adults but it would also be very suitable for a family with two or three young children."
