Our gite is situated on the Rue du Petit Fort, a truly impressive example of conservation and preservation. This cobbled street descends steeply, dropping some 75 metres (300 feet) in its 750 metre length, from the old town to the picturesque River Rance and the old port of Dinan. The walk up and down is invigorating, scenic and very interesting and even more enjoyable when you envisage a gourmet meal waiting to be ordered at one of the many picturesque café’s or restaurants at the port of Dinan.

Ker Arthur is a self contained 2 bedroom gite, situated on the 1st and 2nd floors, with the living area and kitchen/dining area on the 1st floor, with access to the terrace and private garden, and a double and twin bedroom, sleeping 4 and a bathroom with shower/bath on the 2nd floor. All guests will receive a complimentary welcome basket.

1st Floor: Is bright and airy, comprising the living room dining area and kitchen. The living room which is situated at the front of the property is graced with large windows over looking the cobbled street lined with traditional Breton houses dating back to the 1400's. When you’re not experiencing history or dining out at one of the local restaurants, go for a swim in our seasonal heated outdoor pool.

Our LIVING AREA has a Double bed. After exploring the charming medieval village, curl up on the sofa and enjoy local programming on our TV. Low-speed Wi-Fi is available for free in the apartment. If you’d like to connect with friends and family back home a little quicker, premium Wi-Fi is available for €3/day or €15/week.

In the KITCHEN you'll find a set of electric hobs, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator. Start your morning with a cup of coffee, fresh from our in-suite coffee machine.

You’re sure to enjoy your stay at Résidence Duguesclin where our 20 m2 space is conveniently located. Be sure to go for a swim in the shared outdoor pool (which is open from May to September 30 from 10 am to 7 pm). The pool is heated and covered. A guest services team is available on-site to ensure you have a stress-free stay.

If you’re travelling by car, we’ve got you covered with FREE outdoor parking on-site! If you'd like to bring a pet, please let us know when booking and we may be able to accommodate them for an additional charge of €10/night or €46/stay.

Upon arrival, you will be asked for a security deposit of €300 and a small daily tourist tax charged per person. Guests are requested to clean their units prior to departure or an end of stay cleaning will be provided from €50 to €60. Or, tidy up your space using the cleaning kit, available for €3.90/kit.

If you’re looking for a delicious meal, be sure to stop by La Courtine, which is only a 15-minute walk from the residence. This hidden gem is located at a small alley in the city centre. Musée 39-45 is well worth a visit for anyone with an interest in WW2 history. Lastly, be sure to take a walk along the ramparts for unforgettable views of the town.

Brandily is one of six delightful holiday apartments inside the historic house of ‘Val Rive’, with beautiful riverside views of the Rance. It’s located in the quaint quartier of Léhon on the outskirts of the historic town of Dinan – one of the best-preserved medieval towns in France.

Built in 1814, Val Rive's setting is very picturesque – directly overlooking the medieval toll bridge which leads up to the 9th century Abbey and ancient ruined Chateau of Léhon. Indeed, Léhon has the status of ‘Petite Cité de Caractère' (small town of character) and visitors fall in love with it, returning year after year to this charming village.

The riverside paths following the River Rance in front of Val Rive lead into the tranquil Breton countryside – perfect for walking, cycling or taking a picnic – and to the scenic river harbour of ‘Port de Dinan’ where you’ll find many restaurants and brasseries. From here you can walk up the pretty cobbled street of Rue Jerzual, to the centre of Dinan. The Rance flows into the sea between Dinard and St Malo, and these picturesque seaside towns are well worth visiting too.

For those wishing to swim there is a 25m public swimming pool (outdoor heated, with waterslide) less than 5 minutes walk away. Léhon also has a tennis club, with four indoor courts and one outdoor court. Other activities in the area include: golf, hiking, fishing and many watersports.

There is much to explore in the surrounding region: rugged beaches, ruined castles, beautiful churches, and town squares with delightful cafes serving their local specialities – crepes, galettes (pancakes), butter cakes, shellfish, oysters from nearby Cancale, and Breton cider. A hire car is the easiest way to get around, but bicycles are great fun too. You might choose to cycle to Dinard along the old towpaths of the Rance valley that help make up the ‘voies vertes’ (green ways) network. Alternatively, you could rent a boat, canoe or kayak for an hour or two on the Rance.

My apartment is bright, located 20 minutes from the historic center of Dinan and medieval 30 minutes from the port all on foot ;-). There is a bus line nearby. Line 2 "Deroyer"

On weekends, you can drop off your things during the day, while waiting for the room to be available; the schedules are flexible, depending on your arrival time, the departure time of the previous guest and my availability.

Guest access
The accommodation is in the hyper center of Dinan, pedestrianized from early April to late September, some big weekends and small school holidays. A drop-off is possible on arrival but you must then park in the adjacent free streets or one of the two free parking lots within a 5-min walk.

Other things to note
It is on the 4th floor without elevator access. The stairwell is dilapidated but the accommodation is new. It is possible to park two bikes safely in the building lobby.

Welcome to our home, an apartment at the entrance to Dinan, easy access by the highway and a 15-min walk to the city center/ train station.
Florent and I live there year-round, with our cat Gaia who is very often shy.
From Dinan you will enjoy the historic city center, Rue du Jerzual and its pretty port.
In the accommodation we will share kitchen, bathroom and living room.
The kitchen is yours if you want to cook a small dish, Dinan is full of good places to eat.

The space
We are in a property with beautiful volumes, high ceiling and large room. Formerly from the buildings of the military barracks of Dinan.
We appreciate the through light in our home.

The kitchen is equipped and we have what you need for you to cook (spices, pots, oil,...)We renovated it in 2023 so that it resembles us a little more.

Bathroom with shower and vanity, also had the right to a renovation in 2023. A small laundry area is available. If you want to wash a few things.

The bedrooms are not nearby, the one offered to you is "at the bottom of the hallway", with a south-facing window and a roller shutter.

In the proposed room there is a double bed (140x200) and a second bed that allows you to add 1 bed or two.

The space
The studio is located on the first floor of a beautiful old building that once hosted Crusaders, in a semi-pedestrian neighborhood. You will find all the comforts and a warm atmosphere. You can even create your own atmosphere with the headboard, which comes in the color of your choice...

For check-in, we meet at the door, at a time agreed together beforehand (we don't live there).

Attention, in season and during school holidays, the historic center is pedestrianized so it is impossible to reach the apartment by car.
However, downtown parking lots (Place Saint-Sauveur, Place Dugesclin, Historic Center, Town Hall) are all close to the accommodation. If you want free parking, the shortest way is to look for a place near Porte Saint-Malo and finish the journey (about 300 m) on foot.
Another idea: the castle parking lot only pays during the day in July and August (located below the keep - pass the Saint Louis door - a short ten-minute walk)

Guest access
The box is to the right of the blue door, under the keypad. You just have to open the flap (top to bottom), enter the numbers and then press the buttons on the right and left, at the same time, to unlock the box and retrieve the keys.
There is the gray key for the front door and the black key for the apartment, on the first floor. To lock the apartment door, lift the handle.
You can help yourself to coffee and tea, of course.
That's it, you know everything!

Do not hesitate to press the top and bottom of the window door so that it is properly closed.

Studio of 16m2 with simple comfort, 3rd floor accessible by a steep and narrow staircase, right in the historic center of Dinan. Ideal location to discover the city on foot and enjoy the amenities (shops, restaurants).
In summer, the neighborhood is pedestrian, so you should plan to park around.
From Dinan, you can discover the seaside resorts of Saint-Malo and Dinard (20 to 30 minutes by car) or push a little further to Mont Saint-Michel.

The space
Studio of 16m2: a main room with a sofa bed, a table, two chairs, shelves, a wardrobe and a kitchenette (electric plates, sink, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker); a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.

Guest access
In summer, the neighborhood is pedestrian, so it is not possible to park in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation. Paid car parks (except on weekdays between 7pm and 9am and on Sundays and public holidays) are located from 5 to 10 minutes on foot. The closest is the Champs Clos parking lot. A few free spots about 7-8 minutes from the property (ask us).
Possibility to arrive in TER at Dinan train station (then 15 minutes walk).

Other things to note
Note: the accommodation is on the 3rd floor and is accessible by a steep and narrow staircase. Bulky luggage can make the climb a little more sporty. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
