- "Booked the hotel because of its proximity to the private hospital, being close to the city, and the apartments being in a quiet area. The apartments are very clean and well maintained. The apartment we stayed in did not have air conditioning which, in summer, would have been great. There was a fan in the room which worked incredibly well and very powerful. That definitely helped. A couple of small negatives - there were no electrical outlets on the left side of the bed. So we did go out and buy an extension cord so we could use electrical items, such as a CPAP machine, on that side of the bed. Other very minor issue was there was no hook to hang the hand towel in the bathroom. There were hooks to hang towels etc but no rail or hook beside sink/bench. Overall though, a lovely stay in a nice quiet area, onsite parking, friendly staff, apartments were easy to find. Can't ask for much morre "

A quiet queen room chalet with ensuite bathroom and kitchenette. Suitable for a couple or single. Situated a few minutes from the start of Mount Wellington walking and mountain bike tracks in an acre of birch, beech, rhododendron and azalea filled gardens. 11 minutes drive from Hobart, 8 minutes from shopping, restaurants and cafe's in South Hobart.

The space
Your room is affectionately called the "Chalet". It has a queen sized bed with a separate bathroom with shower. There are cooking amenities, a sink, toaster, microwave, kettle, hotplate, cooking equipment, fridge. Recently renovated with Tasmanian oak floorboards for a retreat feel.

Guest access
The chalet is not connected to the main house and is all yours. Feel free to wander in the gardens, hang out in the hammock chair, breathe in the clean air, walk on one of the many tracks on Mount Wellington and take a break from your travel or work.

Other things to note
The property has 2 ponds and a large garden that is easy to get lost in if you are small, thus we cannot safely accomodate infants past 6 months (crawling/toddling). Please ask about ages in booking and we can assess safety on an individual basis. There are laundry facilities with a $10 /load for use of our washing machine and dryer. No wifi in the chalet but 3G and 4G works well here.
